Listen, Los Angeles is still at peak Corona Virus, and the less you touch your surroundings, the better. This dude is an actual sociopath. I couldn't buy onions after he BREATHED ON and TOUCHED  all of them, and he clearly did not care that I was watching. And LOOK at that NOSE—so brazenly eschewing its mask prison, out for all the world to see. I will probably have nightmares about this for the rest of my life.

Thanks for the info! Can I copy/paste that text from you with the Stanford link along with the comic draft on Don Depresso's Tumblr, IG, and Facebook? My computer won't charge or stay on at all, so I'm stuck with Draft 1 and want to at least show something for all the work I put into it already (while being straightforward about any scientific errors in the draft).

Bored to Death

You know the end is near when a Downtown LA Starbucks is 1) empty in the middle of a weekday and 2) playing "The Sound of Silence" over the PA. It truly sent shivers down my spine. That day was very scary for a multitude of reasons, but this was the beginning of the Covid weirdness for me.⁠⠀

PREPARED TO FILL YOUR NEED TO NERD! Even though this freaking plague is really breathed in from person to person contact, we hate at the Heist already have a pretty strong cleaning ethic in place: - everything here sanitized every day with disinfectant used on all the furniture, racks and counters - hand sanitizers ready to go at the counter and free for customers. - if you are infected, sick, or what have you, you can always call ahead and we can help with your purchase and bring it or to your vehicle. We are careful but afraid of this current phenomenon. We want to help make their way through all this in a calm and collected manner.
