my fingers hurt and i bent several needles because it's like three layers of fabric in some places and I did full 6-stranded thread for the whole thing so she's THICK

BUT

The project I’ve been working on for over a year (off and on) is finally completed!!

I kinda wish I'd gone with black fabric and laid the white lace over it, instead of white-on-white, but when I started, I didn't know if I'd do blood drops or blood spray and thought the spray would be more visible on white. Oh well! I might do another one like it someday on black, but not for awhile.

Finding the big red crystals for the bite was the hardest part, none of the local craft stores carried anything like them and I thought I'd have to order them from a specialized bead or jewelry-making supply online, but ACTUALLY--I ended up finding a cheap pair of goth earrings at Spencers that were perfect!

Another little miniature ~ full of little hand-cut, hand-stitched love hearts, with pretty beads throughout.

Mixed media: Gouache, ink and pencil on paper. Hand embroidery. Everything on a 4 inch canvas panel... LOTS of texture!

The never-ending process of fixing my beloved cashmere cardigan. Been trying 3 different technics.

I love how the swiss mending stitch blends together the different fibers. The linen stitch is way faster and brings a contrasting texture, but doesn't look knitted at all. I use an other pretend knit stich for the end of the sleeves. It is not as crispy as the swiss mending stitch but it somewhat keeps the rythme of the ribs.
