Really? You’re just going to casually mention that Commander Sato is good at sabacc and not elaborate? Just how good is he? Could he stand a chance against Han Solo or Lando Calrissian? Where did he learn to play? I have so many questions.

I miss Commander Sato so much. Why’d they have to kill him off?

Headcanon: Commander Jun Sato is the most sleep deprived man in the whole rebel alliance and has extreme troubles falling asleep.

It’s interesting to see the difference between how Commander Sato led the rebels vs how we see Mon Mothma lead the rebels. I’m intrigued to see how they portray Mon Mothma in Andor since Mon Mothma is obviously portrayed so much more as a politician than a guerrilla fighter. But Commander Sato was career military and we see that and its impact in Rebels.
It makes it a little confusing as to why the Rebellion and Rebel Alliance defer to her so much when they don’t seem to do the same to Bail, Bail tends to take a back seat and let the professionals take charge for the first three seasons, but when Mon Mothma shows up, she gets to order everyone around.
Not to mention, in her first appearance, Mothma says that she has realize that it’s now past the time for things to be changed from within the Senate and she has to go on the front lines, but by season four, she wants to hold off on taking actions because people in the Senate still think there might be peaceful resolutions coming? She’s supposed to know better, she claims to know better, Bail should know better after founding this entire thing 20 years ago. Palpatine won’t allow a peaceful resolution, there’s no one to have a peaceful resolution WITH.
The concept of not needing to fight a war or wanting to hold back on particularly decisive action in the hopes of a peaceful resolution made sense back during the Clone War, when the Separatist politicians genuinely seemed at least open to the idea even if it never was allowed to get very far. But now? When the only person you can make a peaceful resolution with is PALPATINE? I’m not sure what Mothma seems to think she can gain from holding off in hopes of a complete 180 from someone so willing to commit so many atrocities.
Commander Sato was never like that. He wasn’t necessarily always QUICK to jump to action, but he never held out for peaceful resolutions with the Empire and he WAS a lot quicker to be reasoned with towards decisive action than Mothma shows herself to be.
And it’s good to see that difference, Mothma SHOULDN’T act like a seasoned military commander, but it does make me question why anyone’s following her. This isn’t her arena and the person they need making their decisions right now as they actively go into open warfare isn’t a career politician. She has no idea what she’s doing and makes so many mistakes that cost them. She calls out the Fleet apparently against Bail’s own advice to wait (and she doesn’t mention consulting anyone else) and then at the first sign of action she immediately turns tail and run and refuses to USE the Fleet to help two other cells when they’re attacked.
I’m interested to see how Andor chooses to characterize her both while she’s still in the Senate and potentially after she leaves it and joins the Rebellion, because her appearances in Rebels sadly leave her feeling a little... bereft. A tad incompetent at the job she apparently just decides is hers and no one has the heart to tell her otherwise.

A Glimpse of What If... chpt.4
Return to File
Recovery date: October, 2022
Description: What if Padme didn't die after giving birth? As far as the universe is concerned Padme Amidala died and never gave birth to the child she kept secret. Unbeknownst to them, however, she she was given a small place out in the wilderness of Alderaan to raise her children with the help of Obi-Wan. When the rebellion starts, she is unable to sit back and watch as the galaxy goes to war with her husband and the man that took him from her. These are nothing more that glimpses into what could have been.

“Thrawn?”
The other rebels turned to Padme, Commander Sato raised an eyebrow in question.
“Yes, he was called in by Governor Pryce to deal with the Ghost. Do you know him?”
All eyes were on her, even Rex was staring at her curiously. It felt like a trial, and she was suddenly very aware of how out of practice she was.
Being technically dead meant she wasn’t exactly at the forefront of communications, and her skills were rusty.
“I-” she swallowed and schooled her expression, “Do you have a description?”
“We have a picture actually,” Hera said, keying the holotable so that an image of the Grand Admiral appeared.
Padme’s surprise returned like a slap to the face. It made no sense for him to be a part of the empire. The Thrawn she’d met during the Clone Wars served only his people, he prioritized them over all else, so why was he now serving the empire.
“Yes, I’ve met him before. Back during the Clone Wars, he and Anakin,” his name fell so easily still despite not being used in so long, “saved me on a mission.”
The other rebels exchanged looks before Commander Sato spoke again.
“Do you think you could convince him to help us?”
“No.”

If Commander Sato and Mart Mattin have a thousand fans, I am one of them. If they have a hundred fans, I am one of them. If they have ten fans, I am one of them. If they have only one fan, that fan is me. If there are no fans of them on this Earth, then I am no longer on this Earth.

I just realised that on Memory Alpha is a site about the undeveloped ideas for a season 5 for Star Trek: Enterprise and now I'm even more mad, that it never happened. I mean:
Shran. They wanted to put Shran as an advisor permanently on the show. Not only would it finally have been justice for Jeffrey Combs but we would have finally gotten more information about Andorians or Andor which is always nice.
More mirror universe. I mean, come on guys, you can't tell me you wouldn't have loved more of Empress Hoshi Sato!!
T'Pol's father was supposed to make an appearance. And rumor has it that he was supposed to be an undercover romulan spy?! I mean, think of that what you want but it would've been nice to find out new things about her.
Borg Queen Origin Story. Need I say more?
Apparently the producer Manny Coton wanted the Enterprise to visit Denobula! Maybe it's because I love Phlox and think Denobulans are very interesting but I am so mad that they never showed us the planet. Maybe they did it in one of the newer shows I don't know, but Enterprise had a Denobulan as a Character in the main crew. Come on! (Also, it would have maye answered my questions in this post)
The Romulan War. The Romulans were supposed to become the main antagonists in the comming fifth season and the romulan warwould have FINALLY be addressed and shown but NO. They had to cancel the show!!!!
I am so mad right now. I am aware that maybe Enterprise wasn't the best show of Star Trek but it was by far not the worst and deserves more love and attention. No, I will not take criticism on that.

I honestly didn't know what to expect with "Those Old Scientists" but I think it's my favorite Jonathan Frakes movie now.
