Factors to Consider While Buying Color Markers Online
We have all used color markers at some point of time. They can be used across surfaces, make consistent strokes, can be easily refilled, etc. In the beginning color markers were mostly used by graphic designers and manga artists. Over the course of time, it has become a household entity with students, scholars, artists and almost every professional accepting its usage. But do you know when color markers were invented?
In 1910, Lee. W Newman, an American citizen, patented the first marker pen. After four decades, in 1953, Sidney Rosenthal created the first modern color marker by replacing the earlier nib with a felt tip attached to the bottle of marker ink.
There are a host of options available to buy color markers online but ahead of that certain factors are to be considered like the type of color used, nib, etc.
Color markers are fitted with two types of ink- water based and alcohol based. There are many differences between the two inks, the primary being that the dye used on water based ink is more organic.
Otherwise, water-based ink in color markers are cheaper, disposable, dries quickly, has no odor, and can be reactivated with water when the dye dries out due to non-use. Alcohol-based color markers offer more variety of colors, are refillable, are fade-resistant, and can bleed through paper.

The tip of a color marker is one of the most important things to consider when you buy color markers online. There are different tips with their own advantages. The list includes:
Brush tip: Because they are the most adaptable, brush tips are an absolute favorite. The brush can be flattened to fill in large areas and the point can be used to make thin strokes. The brush tip can also be used to make strokes with different widths.
Chisel tip: Across brands, the chisel or bullet tip is very prevalent. You can use different edges for various purposes, making it useful. The pointy side is ideal for thinner strokes, while the wide, flat side is great for covering a lot of ground.
Bullet tip: Many less expensive marker sets feature the tried-and-true bullet tip. It's a good generalist tip, but it's not very versatile because filling in large areas with color can be slow and laborious and difficult for incredibly small details.
Fine tip: The fine tip marker looks exactly like a technical pen used by architects. These tips are excellent for fine details and patterning but very inefficient for color blocks that are much larger.
Double-end markers: The best of both worlds can be had with double-ended markers! They have tips on either end and a central ink reservoir. High-quality alcohol-based markers are frequently double-ended, most frequently with brush tips and chisel tips at either end, though some have bullet tips with chisel tips at the other end in place of brush tips.
