Whenever I randomly remember things from my earliest childhood memories, things that don't exist anymore really like the DVD rental place at my old grocery store and grocery stores that had tables and chairs inside to eat at, I think of that "Sure, Grandma, let's get you to bed" meme

there are only three shonen that any adult needs exposure to and those series are Mob Psycho 100, Chainsaw Man, and Dragon Ball Z

#spitblaze says things #i have grown up. i read a lot of shonen as a kid. and it was great #but you can only read YA for so long before it starts feeling stale yannow?#and mp100 and chainsaw man are the only stories ive seen in the past few years that have the narrative chops to overcome their genre #although promised neverland is a VERY close third #i love jojo but the whole point is that its a bunch of weird stupid bullshit. and i love it for that #but i wouldnt consider it Literary Required Reading #DBZ is there because. come on. obviously #i mean legitimately if you're going to watch *any* animated action series made after 1990 DBZ is required reading #to that end i also recommend yuyu hakusho but again. not required reading. just heavily suggested reading
