This was a ton of fun and was a lot less stressful that working on a full illustration so that's cool :) anyways enjoy my little guys.

Turns out the younger clones have some trouble with the mando’a pronunciation, so Kote becomes Cody in less than a tenday.

“Sounds better,” Jango says to him during weapons training, handing him a rifle, “Less sanctimonious,”

Cody --formerly known as Kote, formerly known as CC-2224-- doesn’t know what that word means yet. Flying through the command track means he’s a little behind on his vocabulary modules, but still pretty far ahead enough he can have whole conversations with Jango and only feel out of the loop once or twice. At four years standard, he’s rather proficient at this whole conversation thing, if he does say so himself. Boba, as always, agrees with Cody, mainly because Cody's good at peek-a-boo.

“Can I have a name too?,” CC-5052 asks Jango, sounding a bit uncertain. All the other CC clones look up to Jango, expectant.

Jango looks back at them with a raised eyebrow, then turns back to Cody like this is somehow all his fault. Which maybe it is.

Cody looks back at him with his own blank face, and raises an eyebrow.

Part 4/7 - Previous / Next / First

Track: ‘Unstoppable’ - Sia

Bly had never really argued with his general like this, but he supposed that came with falling in love with them. The second Rex had lit those lightsabers he had wheeled on Aayla and asked for her saber, which she had not exactly taken well.

“You’ll die!” She shouted as she watched Rex fly towards the Sith and surely a quick demise.

“General please! He's my little brother, I have to try!”

“I-” the twi'lek paused, her anger dissipating. Tears sprung to her eyes as the fighting lulled for a moment and time seemed to slow. “Bly, please, don’t leave me like this.”

Bly shook his head and quickly slid up close to her; always by her side. “I would never.”

Aayla took a deep breath. She watched as now Cody went flying towards his brother regardless of the danger, as Obi-wan no doubt had taught him. She could even just make out Plo Koon through the fighting, saber off and being offered to his commander.

The force was singing a battle cry, but it wasn’t meant for her.

Bly let out a grunt as the saber hilt was basically punched against his chest. He went to take it and felt Aalya's other hand fall over his on the saber, it now being cradled between them on the precipice of something important.

A beat passed as their eyes met. Even with the helmet Bly knew Aayla could always truly see him. “I love you,” he told her, raw and quiet.

She gave him a small smile in return. “I know."

And as Bly took off towards Ahsoka's unofficial launch pad, watching Wolffe go howling through the air, he knew she loved him too.

My personal headcanon for the fanon "command batch" age order (featuring my hc personality notes for them before they get deployed) because I am procrastinating:

Ponds -> Oldest! Cheerful and responsible, also a bit annoying. Honestly? Dick Grayson vibes. Bly -> Second Oldest! A romantic <3 Wolffe -> Middle Child/Older Middle Child when including Rex, quieter and shy, but loyal Cody -> Second youngest, shortest, a bit grouchy. Tries to act older/more mature than he is Fox -> technical batch baby, too smart for his own good and a bit of a brat, has a lot of neuroses + Rex -> official batch baby even if only by adoption, a growth cycle behind the others, feisty, a bit clingy

Progress shots and a version without the blaster fire included!

16 hours of changing details, references, picky line work, and a lot more in between stages then shown; and I absolutely love it. This is from an alternate timeline based on the amazing works of @spacerocksarethebestrocks (Maddy_B over on archive of our own). Specifically for the ‘Commander Fox is Completely Fine’ fic they have. Splendid work that I’ve actually started rereading because I love it that much 😂

And I should note this is more based on my daydreaming of where that story could possibly go (verses canon. Writers write whatever you want, I shall love it either way!). A tribute of thanks for such a wonderful story. 🤍
