I'm going to start a series to where I'm going to go over the drdt casts talents and how they can be utilized in investigations and the class trials. So go and cast your votes for who goes first

You can see here that Byakuya doesn't think Makoto is dumb at all, in fact, he's actually one of the person he considers to watch out the most in the entire killing game, once Makoto started catching on to the fact he wasn't the killer, Byakuya realized that this guy was a threat and a half if he ever wanted to be the Blackened.

Bruh imagine you’re in a class trial, it’s coming to a close. Hajime stands there for a good 10 seconds, silently, then shouts "you’re the only one" before actually clarifying WHO hes talking about

So you stand there and wait for him to mention a name

But the person he accuses was the obvious choice in the first place, and you would’ve voted for them without him

danganronpa insults

even though danganronpa v3 class trial kinda sucked you gotta admit some of the dialogue from this trial is fucking iconic

Bro I can’t handle danganronpa.. the fucking emotional rollercoaster I was just thrown through during the second trial, I was actually crying by the end of it.. and then the execution threw my emotions back into a washing machine repeatedly and now I’m just sitting here all sad and soggy

Ace x Family: Mission P1: part 2-1: the trial begins

When last we paused Miles had just learned that his dramatic Matlock impression earned him the position of Defense counsel for the very real class trial, because this elite school feels it’s perfectly reasonable for a grade-schooler’s burden to consist of saving their classmates from expulsion. (Sorry no accessibility text descriptions yet, but whenever I have enough new pages to do the update to A03 they will be there)

~Reminder: These follow the standard manga format with right to left reading direction instead of the American comic book left to right

Apparently it’s been just shy of a year since I posted the any pages of this so now I feel a little guilty and I shall never grouse at half abandoned works on A03 again. I’m not sure what is more to blame: that all of my brain cells have devoted themselves to considering the enigma that is Majima Goro and his slightly smirking soul mate; that I chose to essentially do a case fic trial with the kids which means so much dialogue heavy exchanges to try to make interesting and no fun Barok & Ryuu spy/assassin fun; or that it’s just slow going because the drawing part has never been my strong suit because I get all hung up on how I’m not consistent and have to make little line drawing templates for myself to reuse or use as a guide to make anyone come out vaguely correct unless I want to spend a billion years (and I still want to spend a billion years because I focus on all the stuff that’s not quite right) but the whole reason I kind of talked myself into doing this as a manga instead of just wrangling it into prose (well, let’s be honest, prose wasn’t going to happen probably because I can’t seem to be arsed to write prose anymore, but at least into a written form, most likely just resembling a script) was that I wanted to practice drawing and manga layouts in hopes of getting me to actually work on Teddy Roosevelt’s A Team (which is the thing I started and have giant full arcs of plotting and scripting done for that’s been just sitting for like 13 years now, and still haven’t come up with an actual title for just the stupid working title. I’m hopeless.) My downfall it seems was cross publishing to A03 with the full accessibility captions like a proper thing people might look at instead of into the void of tumblr and then just being pleased whenever I’d get the odd random like. So maybe I’ll just randomly post every time I finish a few pages and only care for A03 when I happen to hit enough done ones to be a big enough update. I’m still determined to finish the episode.

One of these days I’m going to figure Gumshoe out, since I had no reference material for what he should look like young I figured the one out, but it feels like every time I need to have him in a different angle and try to use Gumshoe sprite facial expressions for reference I end up too close to adult facial structure. How did I ever make it through art school in an animation track and yet feel so devoid of basic drawing skills?

Guys, I think I have this figured out. We should all have a final vote on who we think it is and state the evidence. Then maybe the anon will come out and tell us if we're wrong or right. If thats okay with them...

Finally... The third trial comes to an end. Who will turn out to be the culprit, this time around? Are they truly... a monster?

The Experience Of a Danganronpa Class Trial Ep.1 : The death (Sayaka Maizono)

You wake up one morning, you think its a regular day so you go to the cafeteria. You see that one of your friends is missing, but who? You ask everyone else if they have seen your friend (Sayaka) walking around. They answer with no.

The rumor starts spreading that Sayaka could still be out there. You think, 'Maybe she overslept' so you don't worry about it much. Breakfast is almost over and you still haven't seen Sayaka any where. You get scared a lot.

You feel like you need to go to the bathroom. When you arrive at the bathroom you see light pink foot steps, to light to be seen, and also see splatters of blood dripping from the wall. You can't get a clear look from the doorway so you go closer.

There you are in front of the dead body. You are shocked to see a dead body, your first. You weren't expecting it to be your friend. You start to cry thinking about all your memories before she had passed.

You go to the bathroom, still wondering who are how Sayaka died. And who was behind all of this.

After seeing the dead body, your first idea was to tell everyone. You go to one of your so called "companions" and tells him what happened.

He thinks you're just acting silly and I might've been seeing things since it's your first day here. He asks you to show him and he is astonished at what he saw.

The rumor spreads quickly as of now everyone knew Sayaka was dead. You don't see any fear in anybody's eyes. You can't tell quickly who had done it.

As everyone starts to wonder you hear faint whispers coming from a group of girls. You try and ask what they were talking about, but they gave you a weird look.

You're still astonished that one of you friends is dead now. You promised yourself you'd make friends quickly, and hope you won't lose another again.

At the end 'Monokuma' lead us to the trial room. Now you will fight until you know who killed Sayaka. And you hope that they get a more painful death than she did.

Why did I make this?

When I was in middle school in my English class around Halloween we did a mock trial about Ichabod Crane and the legend of sleepy hollow we read the book watched the movie and got sorted into groups defense, prosecution, wittiness, and defendant the teacher was the judge I was on the prosecution we wrote opening statements ending statements to in the end we were able to convict Brom Bones of murder. It was fun but like what..

Ace x Family: Mission P1: the rest of Part 1 

I’ve decided to change from posting 3 spreads at a time to trying to post in chunks that move enough of the action along, that they can feel a little narrative, we’ll see how that goes. So this contains spreads 4 through 13, which takes us up through the point that was the end of the canon class trial, but is actually the beginning of the real class trial. (Now I just have to finish writing the script for the trial itself!) Accessibility note: If you’re using assistive tech and need text descriptions of the images, because there is so much to describe as each image is a full 2 page manga spread, I am cross publishing in 3 image chapters to AO3 with full descriptions as the chapter text vs trying to fit it into alt text ui. Standing reminder: these follow standard manga reading direction flow of right to left.

Some random comments:

-Ryuunosuke gets flustered by Van Zieks’ state of undress, but then totally forgets he’s in his underpants while Barok tries to pretend he’s totally normal about him.

-You know what Chekhov said about backpack mice and plays?

-The objection page is I think my favourite thus far (outside of the dossier 3 shot) it kind of feels like if this were a real comic book it would be the pullout poster in the center.

-I love everyone’s little exchange with Larry when he abruptly about faces when it’s clear Miles is defending Phoenix, which fortunately is in character for his Eden academy counterpart, and I needed to do in order to have both Edgeworth and him utter their anime dialogue as a part of this.

-Not me kinning Edgeworth and projecting that impulsive desk-jumping fit of pique orating that then four seconds later turns into remembering one is introverted and doesn’t want to be the attention focus and like ‘ why and I on a desk and how did I get up on top of it?’

-The reason Gumshoe is wearing a blue uniform is because Themis doesn’t have police track so there isn’t a colour, they do have the judging track which is green, but that is only open once you get into the upper grades (mainly this was because I don’t want too many uniform colours) so I decided to assign uniform colours to non-prosecution/defense attorney characters based on whether I thought the reason they decided to get into law enforcement was because of a desire to help people and victims (blue) or a desire to punish bad guys (red) since those kind of align with defense and prosecutors. Except Larry who is red because of his position in Miles’ posse.

-Poor Franziska, Von Karma is dumping the same abusive self-worth issues on her in this universe too.

-I don’t think it end up being clear here, but Dad is what Miles thinks of Gregory as. (For him Father is Von Karma and Dad is Gregory, for Franziska Father is Von Karma and Your Father is Gregory she can’t bring herself to be casual or fond enough to use dad or papa especially after Gregory disappeared.) (For Phoenix, Papa is Barok and Dad is Ryuu)

-I now headcanon (though I guess that makes it canon for my own AU :)) that Gumshoe is a big fan of Columbo because he doesn’t realise that the rumpled, bumbling, scatter-brained persona is a ruse to make people underestimate him and it gives him the confidence to follow his detective dreams.
