Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop), Seattle, Washington (state), USA. Sometimes I shoot pictures thinking, "That will make a great computer background." Maybe they will and maybe they won't, but I tend to think this kind of picture will. Much less detail to obscure icons on the desktop. Besides, I like the reflections, patterns, and colors. That all said, I have all my pics as my own background changing constantly. I figure it's one of the best ways for me to reminisce about the pictures and remember when I took them. So even though this might be a better static background - I like them all! :) The MoPop building at the Seattle Center is definitely unique and made for the artist. The whole building is very fluid with only the plates' edges and a few doors and windows for straight lines. Different colors, different materials, all make it very fascinating and very photogenic. Here we see sun reflecting from some glossy red panels onto a place where other panels transition going from cyan to brass. It's an interesting way to mix painting with light and painting with pigment (and yes, there is a difference). . May '22 . When you think of skyscraper cities where do you think? New York? Hong Kong? Dubai? Those certainly have some of the tallest buildings in the world and definitely qualify, but would you think of Las Vegas, USA? To look at this pic, maybe you should. I started a week long road trip from Vegas in 21 so I got a few pics of the city itself. I shot this from my hotel room in the Tropicana. Not specifically the hotels you see in this pic, but the Tropicana is on the corner of Las Vegas Blvd (AKA "The Strip") and Tropicana (named after the hotel). It, with the New York New York that you partially see, along with the Excalibur Hotel (the hotel with the most rooms in the world when it was built) and the MGM Grand (still the largest hotel in the world by number of rooms), this street corner has over 14,000 hotel rooms! That's just the one intersection not including the other massive hotels up and down the strip. Need a place to stay? You should be able to find a room in Las Vegas. . Apr 2022 .
