🦋Digital Dollhouse Makeover Challenge: A 12 Day CAS challenge all about makeovers!🦋
Hello Simblr! Since joining the community like a month ago I've been really interested in CAS Challenges, and while participating in other people's challenges, I got inspired to make my own.
This challenge mostly focuses on dressing up or reworking existing sims rather than creating new ones, so it's good for players who have a lot of sims they're already attached to. I also largely wanted to avoid the typical "nerd girl takes off her glasses" type of movie makeover and instead tried to come up with prompts that involve a different type of transformation than just "'''''ugly'''''' to '''''pretty''''''".
RULES: not many tbh. Do all 12 or pick and choose, do them out of order, just have fun! However, make sure to include Before and After photos for each makeover!
Take one of your favorite sims and make them over into the complete opposite of their usual aesthetic!
Humanize an occult sim, or occult-ify a human sim!
Imagine that a "What Not To Wear"/"Queer Eye"-type show exists in your Sim universe-- make a before-and-after of a sim that got made over on that show! (It's up to you whether the makeover is actually any good— you remember those old 2000s makeover shows that made everyone dress so boring, right?).
Download an "ugly to beauty challenge" sim from the gallery, but give them a makeover that embraces their existing features instead of completely changing them.
Take a randomly-generated townie in a wacky outfit and try to make them over in a way that maintains their general appearance and vibe! Refine their outfit, make them more cohesive, adapt them into your own style-- but keep them recognizable as the sim you started with.
Put a sim in drag!
Imagine what would happen if two of your sims gave each other makeovers.
Make over one of your LEAST favorite premade townie's original EA version without changing any genetics! Skin details, hair, clothing, defaults, etc. are fair game, but you can't change any sliders on their face or body.
Take one of your earliest Sims you have saved (a sim you made years ago, or whenever you were just getting started with TS4) and update them into your current style! If you don't have any of your old sims to update, remake and update a sim from a previous Sims game!
Show a sim who's had a physical change that mirrors some sort of development they've had as a person/character. I.E. they started dressing different after a major life event, made a change reflecting a change in personality, etc. Use an existing storyline from one of your saves or make up a hypothetical plotline/backstory!
Give a sim a fairytale transformation like Cinderella.
Dress one of your sims in a randomly generated aesthetic. (Generator 1 / Generator 2 / Generator 3 )

School Festival ☆ Tamayori’s Haunted Dollhouse - Chapter 8
Location: Hallway (In Front of Haunted House)
Characters: Mika & Shuu
< A few hours later. >
Mika: Oshi-san, look, look! The line is huge~♪
Shuu: So what of it? You find joy in seeing a line? You truly are odd.
Mika: Ahaha… It’s not that. I was just happy to see the flyers were successful.
Shuu: Right, you and the two in “2wink” went off to hand out flyers, didn’t you? And that’s how you got Rei to help.
Mika: Yeah. The “Butler Cafe” is a huge success. There were around the same amount of people– no, maybe even more, linin’ up for it.
Ehehe, no wonder he’s your friend, Oshi-san ♪
Shuu: And what of it? …Good grief, don’t make me repeat myself.
You’re innocently pleased with everything but did you forget our reason for taking part in the “School Festival”? We’re doing this to win that reward for the best booth or performance.
The Boy said second and third place will also be rewarded.
But to think my creation will stand second or third best won’t make me happy at all. If anything, it would feel like an insult and I’d be extremely offended.
Mika: Yeah, I haven’t forgotten. But, you know~ Don’t you get happy seein’ your friend’s booth doin’ well?
It looks like Naru-chan’s booth is doin’ well too. Naru-chan told me about her booth and I felt happy since it sounded like I was there too ♪
Oshi-san, yer okay not payin’ a visit to the “Butler Cafe”? You went to see the Drama Club’s performance 'cause yer friend was performin’, right?
Shuu: Wataru invited me to watch so I had no choice but to go. Ahh, I suppose that isn’t quite right. I went to see how the outfit turned out and I watched the play while I was at it.
Mika: Geez, you sure are fussed about the trivial things… There’s nothin’ wrong with watchin’ a performance yer friend is in. I guess rather than being fussed about the details, you can be kinda difficult at times, huh.
But I also like that part about you, Oshi-san…♪
Shuu: Don’t create such a creepy atmosphere.
In any case, that’s the reason why I went to watch the performance. Ahh, just recalling it is embarrassing. If there is a hole, I would like to enter it.
Mika: Ngh, really? I thought it was really pretty ♪
The main actor who played Cinderella was a boy but they looked just like a girl… That means the outfit you made was really well made, right, Oshi-san?
Shuu: Hmph. You can fool a lot of people with makeup.
Mika: You might be right, but… If yer sayin’ yer embarrassed, I think the actor playin’ Cinderella must have been even more embarrassed.
Ahh, is that why their movements were kinda stiff? Your friend, “Ryuu-kun” was also movin’ really stiffly.
Shuu: That was simply lousy acting. Well, Wataru prefaced it by saying it was “truly a comedy”, so I suppose it was rather brilliant and successful as one.
But I don’t watch comedy so I don’t actually know if it was truly outstanding or not.
It seems the performance went smoothly so I’m sure Wataru was satisfied with just that.
Wataru won’t cut corners when it comes to theatre.
The actor who played Cinderella stood on stage until the very end and wasn’t forced to exit the stage in the middle, so I’m sure he is someone up to Wataru’s standards.
Mika: Ahaha, that sounds like one of yer friends, Oshi-san…♪
Oh… if we keep talkin’ outside the haunted house, people will think we’re in line.
Oshi-san, let’s go somewhere quiet.
Oh, but break time is almost up, huh. It’s a shame but we’ve gotta head back.
Shuu: It’s too early. Besides, we’ll be the ones to scare those visitors.
I don’t like noise. We can return to our work once there are fewer visitors.
Mika: Then, where do you wanna go? Hmm~ The “Butler Cafe”?
Shuu: Why that? It seems it’s made quite a name for itself as the sweets are exquisite and the tea is perfect, however.
The one who provided them with the tea leaves is none other than that damned Tenshouin! Ahh, I feel disgusted just mentioning his name!
If I could kill someone by cursing them to death, I’d say his name over and over again! Tenshouin, Tenshouin, damned Tenshouin!
Mika: O-Oshi-san, don’t make such a fuss so loudly~ Everyone’s wonderin’ what’s goin’ on and lookin’ our way! Nghh, I feel embarrassed just feelin’ their stares on me…!
Shuu: Embarrassed? Don’t say something ridiculous. You’re a failure as an idol if you don’t like attention.
Mika: No, it’s not that! A-Anyway, let’s get outta here!
Shuu: I don’t mind moving elsewhere, but where?
Mika: Huh? I’ll go wherever you wanna go, Oshi-san ♪
Shuu: You’re a doll with no independent will… I’ll rephrase that: Where do you want to go?
Mika: Ngh? Like I said, I wanna go where you wanna go, Oshi-san?
Shuu: I watched Wataru’s play already so there’s nowhere else I wish to go.
Mika: What? Nn~ That’s troublin’. If that’s the case, then I’ll decide where we go but is that okay?
Shuu: Will you not understand unless I say, “Do whatever you want. I’ll go with you to the places you want to visit.”? What a failure of a doll.
Mika: Sorry, Oshi-san. I don’t have much of a brain, so I won’t understand unless you tell it to me straight.
Ehehe… Then, let’s go outside. There'll probably be some stalls there. It’ll be a lotta fun~♪

They were reposted on tumblr and they were hilarious, my favorite one is the antidepressant cinderella one where the punchline is prince charming asking ‘does anyone here use depressants’ and the entire ball raises their hands. there were a bunch of other really good ones too. does anyone have these? Snow White Wraps Up!
It is time to finish off generation Snow White, Natalie.
We started off with one sim and her pooch living in a shack in the woods.
Thank you again, DK for this awesome lady!
She's since gotten married, built a house with a pool and raised seven children to childhood success.
(At least we will have by the end of this update)
The only constant has been Natalie and her first baby, Peanut are still the best of friends.
Beyond that, the house has grown exponentially and we shall continue to watch it do so through this post.
First up is the youngest Pancake, Peter...
Who was unfortunate to become the gloomiest Pancake of them all.
Sadly he has good reason to be so blue because the Pancakes have lost their first family member.
Poor little Peanut has followed his last thrown ball into the great beyond.
Needless to say, the whole household was hit pretty hard by the loss and their chins are pretty low right now.
They are all dealing with it in their own way.
Jewel has become even more clingy since she lost her good friend.
Julie of course is using her love of the violin to help her with it.
Who's she entertaining I hear you ask.
That would be her little sister Mabel who mastered her childhood aspiration and finished out grade school in a bear costume.
She then grew into that adorable girl you see above who loves dogs as much as her mom and wants to become a painter extraordinaire.
Next up is the current eldest child in the home, Lisa who decided to upgrade the clothesline all on her own...
Just before blowing out the candles on her teen years.
She developed a love for the outdoors as a young adult then moved in with her boyfriend...
I desperately wish I was starting this sentence with finally but we have two more birthdays still to go not just one.
First was Julie:
Who made the cake all by herself because she's been fulfilling her generational requirements of cooking and cleaning the house every day.
I gave her the soulmate aspiration, because, why not?
Next up was Peter:
Who aced his artistic prodigy in record time with special thanks to Vincent's constant visits and the boys' playtime on the dollhouse.
Peters become a gloomy music lover who somehow always has a smile on his face.
Obviously, some time has passed and the Pancakes aren't feeling these two empty slots in their household so they decided to fill it.
No, not with babies.
I think this family can lay off those for a bit.
With puppies!
In honor of Peanut:
The family picked two random small breeds from the agency.
Whom, based on their traits, may end up being troublesome.
I can tell you Jewel isn't quite sure what to make of them.
They certainly can't replace Peanut.
