With the Chuggaconroy situation I suggest everyone unfollow/unsubscribe from him bc if the Lady Emily allegations weren't enough evidence against him, people who were previously long time friends with him also no longer wish to be associated with him, for his constant boundary pushing and not following through with past apologies. I hope Chugga seeks help, not just for himself but for everyone else around him, past, present and future.

Wrt the Chuggaaconroy situation, I'd like to also point out that LadyEmily herself is Autistic; which honestly, makes this situation even worse because Autistic women and enbys are 9 out of ten times more likely to face sexual harassment than our neurotypical peers.

as a csa/rape survivor whose school in 2010 was full of impressionable young men screaming "rape jokes" and about what theyd do (and some DID) to me the gaiaonline screenshots suck for many reasons. aside from the undeniably inappropriate behavior emile was shown engaging in (which was awful but incredibly typical conversational subject matter for the year 2010) but hiding the other party's name only in the archive of what their 2010 username was (it was Lawly) to make it look like the word loli (which i hate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) was repeatedly brought up as if lawly was coined as a nickname by emile is Bad (context still sucks!!!!!!!) and even worse is how an autistic person deflecting sexual harassment is what everyone was defending when it was emily who deflected without saying no but when its an autistic man being repeatedly told how the other party plans on "raping him" and he deflects with a (awful and horrible but period-typical) wisecrack "well it wouldnt be pe/do/ph//ilia if the minor was raping" (in response to being told the other person who first brought up rape fantasized about raping him!!! And the other person told HIM in response that "it wouldnt be rape if you liked it and liking it is consent which makes it pedophilia *smiling emoticon*"!!!!!! btw!!!!) People who are (rightfully) criticizing him for not instantly blocking (can you block effectively on AOL??? its before my time and i cant find any tutorials on how to block aim users) but (not rightfully) wouldnt criticize emily for not blocking like be consistent. The messages are sickening to read as a survivor and ive been struggling to even speak all day from how this incident is bringing up old trauma and also emile is in the psych ward now and ppl are saying itd be good if he killed himself and people are spreading unrelated false claims about him forcing masae to give him sexual favors with her feet (which she never claimed he did!!!) And im so nauseous from this whole thing my head hurts so bad

end of a shitty day just found out chugga released his statement on twt. honest to god im so glad - listen like he fucked up. clearly. but he genuinely from what were seeing is making efforts to apologise and actually improve. holy fuck the biggest sigh of relief finding out the thing with lawly was misconstrued. and oh my god i hope hes doing better now. genuinely as a kid i was so hyperfixated on his content i had nightmares about him dying 😭😭😭 so reading that bit of his statement struck hard ghjfsfsjhb. i really really hope hes doing better i cant imagine going through all of that and then having to come out and talk about it on the internet. if he doesnt come back to the internet thats completely understandable even if ill miss his uploads. at least now i can finish my acnl lp rewatch :)

of course he isnt 100% innocent but i see now so much of the situation was things taken horribly out of context or framed in a way to make the autistic guy look creepy and evil.

learning emile and masae were dating cleared up SOOO much of the situation. to me i never felt like masae accused emile of anything? it just seemed like... she was clarifying they werent friends. and. yeah. they broke up. thats why neither wanted to talk about it.

the lady emily part is still so full of cut context and lies im not even gonna touch it. and the lawly part was literally just.... lawly continues to make uncomfortable advances on emile and he wanted a friend but decides to cut it off because he is uncomfortable and doesn't want this. and the fact people actually called emile guilty becahse the accusers framed it with a bad headline when in all reality chuggaaconroy was the one being harassed.

i think what also sticks out to me is how chugga says he still loves his friends and thanks his fans and asks to please never send hate to the accusers and that they did what they felt they had too. he just wanted to make fun nintendo game videos with his friends, and the world treated him like this over some long ago out of context past. and despite all of that he still forgave everyone. heck looking at his statements about his time in hospitals, i feel like the one who hated and despised chuggaaconroy the most was himself. the fact he went to therapy and spent so much time in a hospital to work on himself and try to change things literally just wired into his brain from being autistic. he's gone through so much and i feel so sorry for him and his family for all they had to endure. i will pray for them all i can!

i stopped watching chugga but i think im going to start again. its clear as day to me he really is the wonderful guy everyone once thought he was, just thrown into a really bad twitter-y situation. i feel awful i ever thought of unsubscribing to him, i always procrastinated because i couldnt take it emotionally. but now? im gonna keep staying subscribed!
