People love discoursing about vegetarianism, and about sexy vampires, but I haven't seen anyone bring up the issue of whether people who draw a bright line between Potential Friends and Potential Food are in the correct headspace to write sexy vampire stories.

the tragic thing is Night In The Woods actually is most of the things that post specified (except instead of a witch with a cat solving a murder in a village in the Alps you're an anthro catgirl solving a string of mysterious disappearances in a village in Appalachia, and said catgirl kind of has the same vibes as Harry) but it's basically just a 2d walking sim. I need Night In The Woods with Disco Elysium mechanics.
Thinking about the much-mocked idea of "Disco Elysium as a cozy game," and I came up with something that... isn't exactly that...
Basically you're a village constable in a cute little farming village full of cute little animal people, set in a kind of northern/eastern European-flavored dieselpunk arcadia. Life in the village is pretty okay, but this has not always been so - this country has been through a great deal of unpleasant excitement in the past 50 years. Nowadays most of the villagers just want to raise their crops and their families, avoid the scrutiny of any government bureaucrats, and make some of that sweet sweet Fantasy NEP money - and they don't want trouble. When you found the body of that dead out-of-towner, you expected a certain amount of pressure from the locals to get the unpleasantness settled quickly, but you didn't expect everyone you and your partner tried to question to be so damn evasive. Is everyone in this little town hiding something? (Yes.)

my mom hung up some clothes of mine on the doorframe and it seriously could not convey more "this guy dresses like a cartoon bully" if it got up and stole a kids lunch money

Sometimes when people on the Internet are like "ADULTS CAN NEVER INTERACT WITH MINORS IT'S CREEPY" I remember how, at 12, back in 1997, I was on the Witchvox forums with people ranging from me to people in at least their 50s, and no one there was ever a creep to me, no one ever made me feel uncomfortable or asked for my personal info, and when I finally broke down after a particularly brutal day of bullying at school and posted about it they were the first adults I'd ever met in my entire life who told me the bullies were the problem and it was okay to be angry about it.
Kids need to interact with adults who will listen to them.

Guillermo Del Toro movie adaptation of Awful Hospital when
I think a Guillermo del Toro Lovecraft adaptation could be a lot of fun, but it would definitely feel like a GDT production, not a Lovecraft production (or even bowdlerized-Lovecraft-without-the-overt-racism-against-real-human-ethnicities).
I enjoy GDT's work, but the man's really too much of a xenophile for proper cosmic horror. Even when the Monstrous Other is unambiguously hostile and dangerous and has to be defeated for the good of humanity (see Pacific Rim), you get the sense that these Horrible Creatures add color and wonder to the world. The kaiju aren't lovable the way the sexy fishman is, but they're still cool.
His attitude is less cosmic horror and more Jurassic Park - "Yes, these things are terrifyingly dangerous and shouldn't exist, but in a way, isn't it awesome that they do :D?"
(Plus, given his love of elaborate monster designs, ain't no way GDT's able to stick to the "this thing was mind-breakingly hideous, take our word for it" school of eldritch horror storytelling.)

Stolen from twitter.
Remember that the ÷ symbol is usually not used in equations, and never used in an equation that used brackets to imply multiplication without a X sign, because it would create ambiguity. You can't give a correct answer to an incorrect equation.

Almost all sexists agree that one sex are all childish slaves to their uncontrollable passions, and the other are all heartless mercenary cynics.
The major points of disagreements between different sexists are:
which one of those is which
which one of those is good, actually
