Throwback Wednesday to an old comic!  I remember the first book and the first word that I read by myself (cat!!) because it was an exciting achievement, haha. Something about working hard to figure it out by myself made it feel like a magical discovery. Loved reading ever since! What were your favourite childhood books? Do you remember your first one or your most loved?

Morning Sun

In a cozy bedroom, there I am sleeping covered with blankets all over my body, and heard someone say, "Wake up!". As I slowly opened my eyes I felt a chill breeze around the room and heard. Chirp! Chirp! Then, I saw my mom slowly opened the curtains, then warm sunlight reached unto my eyes and glimpsed the sun smiling at me. My Mom came to me and said " Wake up, it's your first day in kindergarten." I yawned, and I silently sat for a while on the bed and rubbed my eyes. Then head straight out to the bedroom to prepare for school. After I finished preparing myself my Mom handed me my snacks and bag. "Hunny, you look really cute in your uniform stay there for a minute and I'll take a picture of you." my mom said. As I reach my small chubby hands with my trolley bag, I smiled and posed. Click!

Afterward, my mom accompanied me to my classroom and saw plenty of children. Upon that, my heart became a ping pong ball. So, I looked for a vacant seat at the back and placed my trolley bag in front of my chair and quietly sat observing the surroundings.

Not long, I heard foot steps of someone and saw a woman in her early to mid 20s walking inside the room with a dazzling smile. She is a lively flower that greet us. Realized, that she is our teacher, next she moved toward to each of us and passed us a bond paper.After that, she instructed us to sketch anything we like. We began to ponder what to draw. My feeling of being timid faded and excitement started to embrace me. And I turned around, peeked at my bag and grabbed my pouch full of crayons. Placed it on my chair's desk. Clack! And I started to sketch freely, shortly, I finished drawing. One of my classmate came to me. "Hi, can I borrow some of your crayons?" she asked. Then I replied, "Sure". Hence she took the crayons and glanced at my drawing. "Oh, wow! " she gasped. Then my classmates turned to see.

My aunt wrote this article about my grandparents housemaid in 1944 , her name was “Signe” … and I remember her like it was yesterday. Here's a belated Halloween-y story comic for you. I remember this happening so vividly with the tv flickering on and off. Still don't know what happened there but as a kid I was convinced that a friendly ghost turned on the movie for me.
