Hey, just here to fuel your Dark Fiagra about Riku being gay and the Light.
In KH2 when Sora and Riku are in the Realm Between the portal to the Dark Margin doesn't open until Sora and Riku have the first part of their "heart to heart". He's literally being vunerable in every way and Sora just shows him patience and understanding. Then the portal opens.
Then on the Margin, Riku opens up once again. I think the reason that Riku wasn't the one to open the Door to Light was because Sora confirmed that he was happy to stay in the dark with Riku.
This part is a stretch but I think, maybe, Riku hearing Sora wistfully reading the letter may have opened the door. Or you know, Maybe it was Kairi. Riku is under the impression that Sora is the Loght because Sora is HIS light, which is why he tells Sora that the door to light was his heart.
Who knows, maybe Soras heart DID open the door, but imo, Kairis letter wasn't romantic. It doesn't even make much sense pertaining to the story.

You want to know the funny thing tho? In the character files, there's a short story from Riku's pov about their conversation at the Dark Margin at the end of KH2. It's the same one where Riku says that he used to try to act like Sora's older brother as a kid, but doesn't think of their relationship that way anymore.
To tell you the truth, Sora...I was jealous of you.
As I sat on the dark shore next to Sora, I wondered when I began to feel that way.
Was it when Sora became a Keyblade wielder?
Or was it all the way back when we were children on the islands?
It wouldn’t be strange for me to think I was better than Sora. After all, when you’re a child, a year is a big age difference, so I played the older brother and took Sora around with me everywhere. When did that change?
And then, when it gets to the part where Kairi's letter is supposed to come in, it's just completely omitted???
“I wished I could live life the way you do. Just following my heart.”
“Yeah, well, I’ve got my share of problems, too.” Sora responded, staring at the horizon.
“Like what?” I asked Sora, smiling a bit.
“Like...wanting to be like you.”
“I see.”
That made me a little sad, so I responded with as cheerful a voice as I could manage.
“Well, there is one advantage to being me..something you could never imitate.”
“Really? What is it?”
“Having you for a friend.”
Sora was surprised for a moment. Then, he exhaled a bit.
“Then, I guess...I’m okay the way I am. I’ve got something you could never imitate too.” Sora responded with a smile, and he looked off beyond the horizon, at the moon shining faintly in the sky - at the world where we would meet our end.
We both had our own things that the other couldn’t do. Our hearts, each just like the other, were both filled to the brim with happy feelings at that moment.
I was glad to have been Sora’s friend.
“Light.”
My eyes instinctively narrowed at the sight of the bright sun-like light that appeared right before us.
“The door to light...we’ll go together!”
Sora stood up and offered his hand to me.
“Yeah.”
I responded and began to walk with Sora.
LIKE? Hello? Look at this thing just directly implying that it was actually Sora and Riku's hearts opening up to each other that opened the Door to Light??? Skipping Kairi's letter entirely??? (why do they keep doing this lol just let Kairi HAVE SOMETHING sakdfljsd)
Now, like I've said before, stuff in the novels/characters files are SECONDARY canon, so it is canon that Kairi's letter in a bottle shows up and Sora reads it, and then the Door to Light appears. But with this added context I wouldn't say it's a reach that the Door to Light opening to them probably has more to do with them than Kairi's letter specifically.

In book one I named MC "Guy Man" and it was such a boring name that I don't find anything screenshot-worthy so I renamed him into "Stupid Kid" :D
When someone calls his name, it's like they're insulting him lol
and in these I feel like they're rolling their eyes while talking to him (poor guy, can't have a compliment without it being sarcastic)

- Currently known under the name Red but her actual name is Redgie of Cora
- Origins are unknown, she was adopted into The House of Cora, great ally to the Dagon clan
- Witnessed the death of her entire family at the supposed age of 15 after the Underground War, was taken under Lady Elora's wing as a pupil / apprentice
- Developped a taste for learning new skills and fixing broken objects
- Got blessed by Lady Elora for eternal life as long as she stayed loyal to the clan
- Has been an assistant to every Dagon clan leaders since, including Elora's own daughter Sabine
- Eventually became Evelyn's assistant and best friend. Was kidnapped along with Evelyn as she refused to leave her side (did not go down without a fight)
- Greatly suspects that Evelyn's mind contains a part of Elora's / is a reincarnation of Elora as the girl knows things only she (Red) is supposed to know about their clan's history and wars
- She literally dislike anyone that isn't Evelyn for the most part. She especially does not like Daxter for some unknown reason and refuses that anyone gets near her friend. The only people she somewhat tolerates / trusts are Tess, Sig and Jak but even they stand on thin ice.

Backstory:-
Annette grew up in Stalingrad, struggling with the fact that she began speaking much later compared to other children. Her parents were eventually encouraged to give her up to a renowned librarian, whom Annett had a colorless life with.
The librarian never told Annett her name nor anything related to her, she only provided Annett with clothing and food. Annett never got any kind of support nor education. Instead, she tried to learn to speak properly by perceiving the librarian speaking to the readers. Eventually, she managed to learn to speak, and then began attempting to read.
Annett found out about her Ability when she was learning to speak an older form of Russian, where large letters began emerging from the pages, glowing in the dimly lit room, slowly forming an ethereal velvet light that shone above her head.
Annett never left the vast library, she basically lived there. Day and night, she'd depend on a single meal and proceed to read anything she can reach. The librarian, or "Teacher" only watched, she never interfered with Annett's actions. Sometimes, she'd notice Annett struggling to read a word or two, and she'd lean down and help her spell it properly.
However, Annett and Teacher never enjoyed this peace for much. Teacher had been a major part of a Russian organization that was responsible for "shaping" the mind of the adolescent through the books being sold. And due to some issues with the government, Teacher was targeted. Unfortunately, Annett had to watch as she saw the only adult that cared for her slowly die while still trying to shield her from Russian Forces.
Annett was 15 at the time of Teacher's death, and so she managed to get out of the mess and go to Petersburg, where she was met with two people, ones who had recently heard of her story, Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Nikolai Gogol. However, she only had a steady friendship with them both for around 7 years before she left Russia and headed to Japan.
Currently, she owns the one of the largest libraries in Asia and is also an important ally of the Armed Detective Agency, providing necessary information and potential solutions using her networks and connections.
Personality:-
Cold and strict yet somewhat gentle. She somehow manages to force respect on others while maintaining a quiet demeanor. Sure, she believes a librarian should be strict and firm, but at times where things are light-hearted, she always finds herself relaxing for once. It's the same expression everytime, but the softness varies.
Due to her parents abandoning her and then losing the woman who treated her like someone with potential, Annett can't trust properly. Either she trusts too much or never trusts at all, and both situations often cause a lot of harm in her personal life. Emotionally, she's uncertain. Always choosing to have fits of rage and abhorrence instead of trusting, claiming it's "safer" to be upset than open.
Fun Facts:-
Annett's favorite genre of books is always going to be gothic fantasy or horror fiction. She mostly disliked nonfiction since she can't use it beneficially with her ability.
Her nighttime vision is probably better than her vision at the presence of light.
She uses white owls as communication methods between her and Fukuzawa. She believes they're such elegant creatures that are intelligent enough to convey Morse code as well. She's been teaching few owls and rewarding them with dead rats as a treat.
Annett hates bland foods. She'd rather close her business than swallow something she can't taste properly. She always eats anything with a rich flavor, regardless of how complex or expensive.
Annett has multiple unpublished books that she keeps in her own personal shelves.
Her accent is always seen as threatening. Well, she's Russian, so it's expected.
Well-known among adolescent readers that constantly visit "The Library of Souls" since she encourages them greatly and lets them borrow books on the condition that they'll be returned before the deadline.

Nhaev Miednic
Lynx Mother and Condor of The West, Queen Nhaev's full name is: Oveta Nhaev Miednic.
it's a royal tradition to name the daughters of the Miednic bloodline 'Oveta' but then call them by their iddle name so that they're still individuals.
Nhaev is about 32-ish when she's introduced in the second book, and is the 2nd of four siblings (Irenha, 39; Rua, 29 + Atara, 29). they're all insanely loyal to each other, because they were pretty much raised by all of the adults in their family which gave them that "it takes a village" mindset and family is one of the most important things.
When Irenha was 15 she decided she had no interest in being queen and promptly handed that responsibility to her 11 year old sister, who was fucking stoked about it.
Nhaev has always been made to rule, she's got a heart full of love for her people, a mind for strategy and rules, and a spine that won't bend for anyone; so she took to her new studies like a fish to water and was her parents head advisor by the time she was 18.
Her parents stepped down from the throne when she was 25, and she's been queen ever since - she earned the title Lynx Mother when she was much younger though, bc she's had a connection to them since she was a baby.
Because of the wobbly history their bloodline has with stardust, magic manifests a little differently among the Miednic family. They can't manipulate stardust the way casters can, but they have more magical ability than your average person? Basically they've got more specific abilities: so Nhaev can speak to animals (but she has to learn their language first, lynx are the only animal she can naturally talk to), Irenha can communicate with the earth (similar to how Cecily can communicate with plants, but Irenha is almost able to get in touch with Taiua herself, her connection with the mountains and being the first born is what set her up so strongly to be the heir until she went "nah, i'm good, i think i want to be a carpenter actually"), Rua can sort of enchant weapons and also control them + Atara can teleport.

Favorite Color: As an artist, he doesn't have a favorite, can't pick one. However he answers orange most consistently.
Character Power: Two words, Barrier Projection. Rio has the power to take air/energy and harden it to make walls that are near unbreakable and slightly invisible. They emit a dull humming sound, and take a lot of focus to create.
Character Description: Rio is just a tad short. The second shortest of the six. They have short hair that is dyed black, because that's a mix of all colors. He has light brown eyes and a bunch of hand scars due to working at a vet clinic. They also have quite a few battle scars. Rio modifies all of their clothing, stitched on patches, splatters of paint, everything. It looks amazing and makes for a good pass time.
Personality Description: He is very strong, and creative, and is very much a protector. They have a few issues to work through, most of their negative emotions coming off as anger. But Rio's doing really well working on the anger issues. He cares a lot about everyone, especially Corey and Vivian. Doesn't act like it but he cares about Sidney a lot and (/hj on the next part) tolerates Kade and Casey. Rio loves doing art projects of any kind, from painting to stitching, and has a whole room just for those projects.

I was screwing around on Starryai (andAirBrush) and made all my Warrior Nun fankids... So far, anyway.
Adriel/Ava 》 Ariane, Calixtus, Celestin, Claudius (aka The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse; all four are divine beings, and born with "Halo Light", as in naturally possess the Halo's powers)
Has mom's beauty and dad's Machiavellian genius, as well as his diabolical charisma. Adriel's favorite, his evil angel baby, Antichrist Superstar 2.0, his true Firstborn Child (well, I suppose the firstborn thing in the literal sense depends on if Adriel and Areala's son is alive); Heir of the family, born politician, diplomat and leader. Despite her being a "daddy's girl", I think the bond between Ava and her only daughter would be very close and interesting to explore.
Has dad's genius and mom's noble, yet fiery spirit. A very charming, magnetizing character like his sister (the two are extremely close). If Ava had to choose a favorite, it would probably be him. Has a "familia ante omnia" mentality. As proven by his handsome face, his name suits him.
Looks stern, but has a sunny personality. Rather quiet, very studious, probably works closely with Arq-Tech. An old soul. Hopeless romantic, had a crush on Yasmine as a child.
Golden retriever incarnate like Ava. Likeable, sociable, adventurous, at times can be reckless and a party animal. Very talented artist.
With these four, the saying "eyes are a mirror of the soul" is probably true - Ariane and Calixtus have green eyes, and are more like Adriel; Celestin and Claudius have black eyes, and are more like Ava.
Good thing Claudius is such a noble name. Because looking at the meaning alone... They gave their first three names meaning "most holy", "most beautiful" and "heavenly", and then their youngest a name meaning "limp". 🤣
Adriel/Lilith 》 Lucifer (of course they named him that)
• Divine being; inherited both Lilith and Adriel's powers. Mama's boy. He and Lilith are very protective of each other (she lost it at him only one time - when he seeked out her mom, despite her forbiding him to ever do it). Quite a Spartan character, a solemn man of few words, though he can be very charming if he wants to. Extremely intelligent, well-educated and skilled in combat (Lilith's mom was an example of a parent to not be, but Lilith was unwilling to give her son less than she had received due to her family's power).
I have no idea why Reya threw Lilith out of the other realm, instead of explaining to her what was going on. But I think she'd accept her and Lucifer because grandchildren (not to mention he'd be a being of such immense power they both would need guidance).
If Lilith had had a girl, she would undoubtedly have named her Mary.
Adriel/Areala 》 Balthazar
Divine being; born with "Halo Light". Inherited Adriel's genius, and definitely has the potential to be Machiavellian, but due to Areala’s parenting grew up the incarnation of a noble Holy Warrior. Mama's boy. Areala is the greatest authority to him. Bitter towards Adriel (at least for a while), because in his eyes, his father tore their family apart, not to mention hurt his mother. At times conflicted, likes to compare himself to both Satan and St. Michael (Areala had a medal with St. Michael to keep herself safe during battle; when Balthazar was born, she gave it to him*). He and Michael Salvius consider themselves brothers. Skilled in combat, brilliant strategist, extremely intelligent. Natural leader, but can be a loner.
I'm conflicted whether he survives or not. Obviously, in some versions he does, hence the adult picture and character description. Still, my original thought was Areala and Adriel's son is either stillborn or very premature (so doesn't survive). Hell, Adriel/Areala is bittersweet... But I'm sure being like Adriel, he could survive after being born premature. Perhaps, after Areala's death, Reya comes to take her grandson to the Other Realm, so his mother can raise him.
Hell, that would make the verse where Ava reincarnated Areala... Awkward. Imagine, after everything she went through already, she realizes she has a son... Who's older than her. Balthazar would probably feel so guilty he couldn't save her from her time at the orphanage. If he could have, he would have taken her and raised her himself, but for whatever cosmic reason, he couldn't. And he'd receive quite a shock, since he was raised by a virtuous She-Templar, yet his mom's reincarnation curses and drinks. 🤣 Not that they'd be less elated to reunite.
*It may odd in the stories where Adriel is an angel, and St. Michael is actually Balthazar's uncle... Imagine keeping a picture of your uncle Mike for protection. 🤣 Still, he keeps it as a family heirloom.
Adriel/Ava, but with a twist 》 Selene
Divine being; born with "Halo Light". Adriel treats her as a living miracle, God incarnate, his Holy Heir; honestly, I'm not sure she wouldn't end up with a Messiah complex and a drinking problem due to his parenting. Daddy's girl, very protective of Adriel. Charismatic, Machiavellian, extremely intelligent, sociable. Genius in politics, diplomacy and military strategy. Talented artist. Probably did write her own Bible... I mean she was groomed to be a cult leader from birth. Essentially has child star issues.
So the twist is... Adriel was the one to give birth. It's my most insane WN fanfiction idea. There's two versions. First, is Adriel and Ava duel, and a Halo blast combined with her phasing through him... You know. Adriel is elated, since it's a miracle to end all miracles. The situation fucks her up - she feel she can't abandon the child because of her trauma of being abandoned. Besides, someone has to keep Adriel from performing a c-section on himself on global broadcast. Reya probably shows up like "Son, what in the fuck did you get yourself into now". The other is Ava/Adriel/Lilith scenario where he convinces them to perform a dark ritual which would end in him carrying a pregnancy. Because he associates giving birth to being God. Besides, he wants to carry his own weight in the relationship. Or his own... Pregnancy... The ritual is quite bloody (it involves the crown, the Halo and a knife to the stomach), and the whole ordeal is grotesque. Reya probably also shows up yelling "Son, wtf did you do". Mostly because she's worried about him, since he can die in the process... He doesn't. Almost, but he doesn't.
All in all, many of the kids have similar personalities. And similar appearance.... Which is not surprising, they have the same dad. Adriel's like a rabbit. 🤣 Good to know all his sons pull off the family beard. 🤣
All of Adriel's sons are like "in this family, we look like Jesus". And all Adriel's daughters are like "in this family, we are Machiavellian political genius cult leaders". Why did the AI make Selene's brooch look like an uterus... Maybe that's supposed to be a ram's head? Or some sort of a floral ornament? Or an inappropriate gift from grandma 🤣
All the kids have mom's last name. Adriel doesn't have one anyway (aside from the verse where his whole family goes by the last name Ambrosi... Which is really the Antichrist's mom's last name).
