Nakshatra series: Observations from different Nakshatras
Disclaimer: These observations are based on my personal experiences with individuals I know (including celebrities).
Ashwini:
The Ashwini girls I know have youthful, baby faces (e.g., India Eisley, Kim Chiu, my classmate). They are much softer and more likable compared to other Nakshatras ruling under vimshottari lord Ketu due to the Laghu Nakshatra quality.
Ashwini men are more impulsive compared to the women. I must add that the men of this Nakshatra are also quite cocky.
Ashwini individuals are smarter than they are often given credit for, especially in academics. They are usually overachievers and can accomplish anything they set their minds to.
Bharani:
If you have a Bharani friend, they are dedicated and loyal friends.
The romantic and sensual traits often associated with Western astrology Taurus actually belong to Bharani. While Aries are typically assertive and action-oriented, they are not usually associated with laziness. It is beacuse of the individuation and selfishness correlated to the first sign of the zodiac, Aries.

🌸 How to use astrology in a way that will actually help you? This is how I use astrology for myself without letting it overwhelm me, so it's just my opinion First thing: When you're looking at your placements, don't take them too seriously. Remember that these are energies and you have the power to manifest them. Very often, we unknowingly manifest these energies but we can do that consciously too. So, remember to do this:
🌸 When you read about a positive aspect or placement of yours, and you like being that way, focus on how true it is, even if you feel it may not be true. This focus on what you already have and what you already are, this is what we call as focusing on the abundance (instead of the lack of something), is going to get it manifested.
🌸 When you read something negative/neutral about your placements or aspects, learn about it, think about how it may manifest in your life and consciously try to get out of that situation or consciously try not to be that person. Let me give you an example:
🌸 I have a few placements which says that I'm beautiful and charming but when I read about it, I didn't think that I was charming or beautiful but I didn't tell myself that I wasn't, I let myself think that I was beautiful and just be. While there were placements which said that I may turn passive agrresive or that despite my wish to lead, I may let go of control over myself, so I remember this everytime and try my best to not be this person.

listening to bollywood music always gets me thinking abt the desi pines au again... so here is some more information
- scary-oke happens except instead of taking over midnight they sing some cheesy bollywood song instead. thinking something like gallan goodiyaan or disco deewane. OH OR GIRLS LIKE TO SWING... (Also yes they do the hooksteps. i have spent an ungodly amount of time imagining them doing the hooksteps)
- stan is a huge movie buff btw. he doesn't talk much about it but he lovesss sappy bollywood movies and those shitty (affectionate) hindi tv serials... the duchess approved gets replaced with one of those. which i think is fair because they dramatize everything to the same degree lmao
- thinking also about voiceclaims for the stan twins. i imagine the star twins would sound the same because despite their cultural background, they were still brought up in cali and developed accents accordingly. the stan twins tho were raised in mumbai so. have to rethink how they sound because i cannot for the life of me imagine stan speaking hindi in his regular new jersey accent. (he would definitely still have some aspects of the NJ accent because filbrick is still a new jerseyite, but still)
- speaking of religion, caryn is hindu and raises the boys as such. not particularly devout or spiritual, being a fake psychic (and astrologer in this au) and all, but she teaches the boys about the mythology and the traditions. filbrick is also still jewish, and the family celebrates events from both religions. lucky bastards get hanukkah right after diwali /j. present day ford and stan are atheists, but still celebrate the festivals and whatnot for the hell of it
- i am aware that irl, in both judaism and hinduism there are Differing Opinions about interfaith marriage to this day; however this is fiction so i am choosing to imagine it's not that much of an issue. maybe people are just kinda less bigoted, or maybe they were and maybe caryn and filbrick honestly just don't give a fuck. idk. it's not a main focus point of my au so i am choosing not to dedicate Too much thought to it
- instead of "poindexter" which is primarily an american slang nickname, stan calls ford "chashmesh" which is a hindi nickname for someone who wears glasses. he still calls him this when both of them wear glasses in their old age because he's petty. it annoys ford even more every time he does it WHDJSNEJD
- he also still calls him "sixer" which is funny because despite cricket being such a popular sport in india, they both probs suck ass at cricket and have never hit a six(er) in their lives lmao
- once stan and ford reconcile they quickly realize they can talk absolute shit about people in hindi and nobody here will have a clue what they're talking about

Iravan | Havan 2022 | Day 2
Let me tell you about Iravan.
What must it be like to be the son of the illustrious Pandava Arjuna, and yet not be as adored and cherished and idolised as Abhimanyu was?
Iravan, was the son of Arjuna and Ulupi, a Naga Princess. He finds more mention in the southern parts of our country where people uncomfortable with their assigned gender, often take refuge in him. For the story goes that, before the grand 18 day war began, both the sides approached the venerated Sahadeva for astrological purposes about the most appropriate and auspicious time to offer a sacrifice to the gods.
And unable to lie, Sahadeva offers the auspicious time, leaving it up to Krishna to cause confusion among the heavenly skies, such that Duryodhana and the Kauravas make the sacrifice at the wrong time.
And on the side of the Pandavas, as they discuss the greatness of whom to sacrifice, it is established that Iravan, the son of Arjuna, the commander of the armies would be the perfect sacrifice. Hearing this, Iravan requests for a last boon, he wishes not to die unmarried and hopes that his widow wails in sorrow for his death.
This calls for our very own Madhusudhan to don the form of Mohini (a man taking the form of a woman) and marrying him for a day, completes his life as a married man. Iravan is then, sacrificed in peace.
This has gone on to become a tradition for transgendered people in India to celebrate a festival in the South where they claim Iravan to be their husband and express their sorrow over his death.

she does enjoy tinkering with possible new ideas and inventions. has played an active role in assisting with new advancements in the mughal empire be it as an advisor or leading a few small initiatives herself.
there is nothing more important to parvati than her family. even when she disagrees with them she does her best to support their decisions - while also planning for any possible consequences.

In India, the zodiac sign of Capricorn is celebrated as the Makara Sankranti festival,[8] also known in Nepal as Maghe Sankranti.[9] The Indian astronomical calendar is not based on the western Gregorian or Julian date keeping system. The Gregorian calendar has fixed days in a year and does not accommodate difference in the actual solar year. Therefore, the festival is celebrated on either of January 14 or 15 every year, when, as per the Indian astronomical calendar, the Sun actually enters the Capricorn sign.

it’s spring and it’s the new year and I feel optimistic about it
I am going to get some flowers, light a candle, focus on setting intentions of abundance and peace.
I am not sure why I didn’t realise this before this week but, so many cultures celebrate their new year in the spring and think of it as a new beginning - there’s the astrological new year, Ostara, the start of the new calendar year in some Indian calendars, Holi (where one of its intentions is the celebrate spring), Navroz (the Zoroastrian New Year) and Gudi Padwa (the new year for people in the region in India where I am from - which after a bit of research, I found that this is carried from the original indigenous spring celebrations). I am sure countless other cultures celebrate spring as a new beginning and it’s just so wonderful.
