Brighid was honoured millennia before our era and tomorrow is her festival where rebirth and the awakening of nature after the long winter are celebrated, together with the home and much more. If you are interested in knowing more about the goddess and the celebrations dedicated to her in the past and in the present, check out @danica.child account and her book the Magical Year which I found very interesting. I love the idea of celebrating nature and its cycles, of getting closer to the seasons and the crucial passages in the year. Regardless of what religion we belong to or what is our personal credo, getting back to nature and its wisdom is something that is often missing in nowadays spirituality and something I am very drawn to. Does anyone else feel this way? So, as for me, I will leave hanging from a branch of a tree in my garden a white blanket for her, make her good food and invite her to my table tomorrow and certainly I will take the chance to clean house in her honour - thing by the way very much needed.
