“You’d trust me? Even after everything?” Kara asks, unable to help herself.

She doesn’t know where she stands with Lena; doesn’t know how much space she’s allowed to take up; doesn’t know if the yawning chasm between them will ever close. 

But she wants to try, because Lena is standing here in the Tower as they devise ways to take down Lex, and that counts for something. 

“You want to help people,” Lena starts, nodding towards Kara and her suit—what it stands for, what it represents. “Whatever else has happened, I know what’s in your heart.” 

She nods, heart warmed at the thought that despite the now jagged history between them, Lena still sees what she has always wanted to be—who she believes she is, despite her misgivings and faults. 

Lena’s words were not an admission of regained trust, and Kara is fine with that.

For Kara, love has always been a beast of constant evolution- a creature of many faces, named by all yet known by too few, and for her entire life she has tried to make sense of it.

One late summer night in their youth, she and Alex had lain themselves out across their family's worn plaid couch, listening quietly to the garbled whine of Beauty and the Beast as it spun backwards upon its tape.

"Can I ask you something?"

Kara had whispered, gathering her knees up below her chin as she dwelled on enchanted roses; on Belle and the different sorts of loves she had experienced, and as Alex whispered back in stilted sentences she learned yet another one of its names: a name whose shadowed face she would glimpse in the handwriting of sweet, pining classmates; in every passing crowd; in the whispered promises of men who hung themselves about her heart like a winter frost.

Nine long years lay themselves out between that gentle summer and now- now, as white text ascends silently into the darkness Lena snores softly against her shoulder, and it is with sudden, jarring clarity that she sees what has eluded her for all this time- like nothing she has ever known; like gazing upon Rao: beautiful, terrible, altering.

Favourite character: listen. it counts. nyssa al ghul. she was on the show for a whole scene IT COUNTS (second choice would probably be zari 1.0 i really really love her) Funniest character: oh do i have to pick one oH yes okay damian darhk. truly the perfect villain for legends Best-looking character: won't pick nyssa for this one, I'm going with zari 3 favourite ships: captain canary on no. 1 I'm always gonna be stuck with them. darhkatom always good. and avalance also for sure Least favourite character: a certain character who shows up every now and then coming from his own show i wont name names i haven't been a hater in a really long time (someone actually once unfollowed me because i was hating on him too much. kinda proud of it but it was also a wakeup call). anyways if you know you know Least favourite ship: zari/nate it just wasn't necessary and came up too fast out of nowhere. love them both but should've just stayed friends Reason why I watch it: its my favorite show of all time it makes me so happy. it is absolutely unhinged in all the best ways possible but at the end heart is always at the center of the story. it is always character driven and most of the time manages to stay a good ensemble show with divided focus (unless its time for crossovers. then sara is the one and only main character (she will still be cut out of the promo poster for the legends' part of the crossover (yes this really happened))) Why I started watching it: i started arrow in back 2014 and loved it, then came the flash enjoyed that too. when the first trailer for legends was released i was SO excited for this show you wouldn't believe. at that point i think we had to wait like another year for the show but the moment the pilot came out i was watching and i was in love. it was literally my all time favorite show since the start.

#9. favorite smell in the summer?

I'm going to take advantage of this showing up in two asks by saying I really love rain smell. Especially in the summer, but also year-round. It just makes me think of fun hikes. I'm itching to go for a walk in the woods.

#44. favorite scent for soap?

I've been using green tea bodywash for ages and really love it, though I also really like oatmeal & honey soaps (especially when I'm treating myself to those artisanal bars of soap I sometimes find at farmers' markets).
