Thoughts on my second watch of Good Omens 2
i heard the fly buzzing in my first watch but didn’t know why and now i know
Maggie my sweet darling angel baby i love you
Aziraphale turning their car yellow
crowleys “no more dying” in extreme scottish.
Disposable Demon i’ll save you from these awful people i promise 😭
Aziraphale’s little smile when he says “smitten” to Crowley
i wonder if crowley was especially hurt because aziraphale seemed to be able to forgive gabriel who tried to kill him but can’t seem to forgive him being a demon.(still seeing all of this as a metaphor for internalized homophobia, like aziraphale knows he’s not the perfect angel he wants to be and he’s projecting his feelings about that onto crowley)
I can’t believe we got an actual ball. like pride and prejudice, bridgerton ball.
the beautiful score that started playing when aziraphale brought the chandelier down
i didn’t even realize that when they walked in the outfits changed. mrs sandwich made me realize(also i love her)
Nina being the only one to question the weird magical shit Aziraphale and Crowley do sends me so bad.
Season 2 took everything i liked about the first season (aziracrow, queer subtext, gay people, archangels, and beelzebub) and expanded on it
The adorable smile on Aziraphales face when he asked Crowley to dance 😭 he’s so pure(i should have known something was up, everything was going too well)
Crowley saying i won’t leave you on your own and Aziraphale saying i know 🤒
why isn’t aziraphale able to miracle nina and maggie??
crowley and mrs sandwich flirting. too cute
crowley saying he’s neither nice nor a lad.
crowleys little run in heaven when he’s following muriel
maggie giving the middle finger to the demons and laughing in their face when they tried to belittle her. queen
defensive aziraphale is so badass. just because he’s soft doesn’t mean he can’t stand up for himself or the people he loves
the random guitar solo in the final episode theme is so bizarre to me. why is it there?
ahh the raining hearts symbolizing crowleys vavoom plan!
crowley’s heavenly outfit not being white but “light grey”
the relief in aziraphale’s voice when crowley came back 😀
also him mumbling about the halo like he did with the sword 😭 but he sure loves to boast about the things he’s done right to crowley
aziraphale and crowley doing magic together has the power to set off alarm bells in heaven and they barely tried, they’re just in sync
saraqael was such a good addition to the cast.
crowley smiling at aziraphale going off on the angels and demons
“where beelzebub is, is my Heaven.” 🥹
the little knowing look after crowley mentions alpha centauri
the way they just interrupted michael’s speech by leaving 😭
i think that aziraphale was about to ask crowley to move in but that’s my opinion
the look the metatron gave crowley is so strange. i don’t like that
“JUST US. NOT YOU.”
“You’re not helping, angel.”
the softness in aziraphale’s voice when he talked about making crowley an angel again? how can you hate him! he thought he was doing the right thing!
also the miscommunication these two have is completely out of hand because crowley asked aziraphale if he said no and aziraphale hadn’t given an answer AT ALL to the metatron. the metatron told him to take his time. he went back to tell crowley the news first.
crowleys confession makes my stomach hurt. the way his voice broke when he said “we’ve spent our existence pretending that we aren’t.”. the way he had to force himself past his anxiety to tell aziraphale he wanted to spend eternity with him? fuck.
the way aziraphale tells crowley to come with him. like and through all of this they are losing each other, oh my god.
“i need you!” god aziraphale punch me in the face next time why don’t you?
i feel like in all this anger towards aziraphale a lot of people are ignoring that he put himself out there too. he was telling crowley he needed him just like crowley was
“no nightingales.” FUCK YOU GAIMAN
the way aziraphale touched his lips after. dear GOD. someone get michael sheen an emmy
seeing aziraphale struggle against his wanting to kiss crowley back and his fear and wanting him to come back to heaven further supports my internalized homophobia analogy
also even knowing the kiss was going to happen because of the spoiler it still didn’t quell my shock. nor did it ruin the scene, i think it actually surprised me more because it did not happen how i thought it would.
side note i saw some people saying they thought the kiss was going to be a cop out in some way. like a body swap or as a joke and i don’t really know why?
it just occurred to me that both aziraphale and crowley thought the other one was just doing that thing they do where they say they won’t help, or they’re on their own but they eventually come back not knowing that the other was completely set on these plans they had. this wasn’t like armageddon or saving gabriel.
the second coming…of jesus…
crowley cutting off “a nightingale sang in berkeley square”...i’m gonna jump
this being the ending for the next 3-4 years. oh.

Lost Fic #164
1. Hello everyone :) for a terrible long time I've been searching for a fic I remember. Maybe you lovely peoole can help me. In it, Aziraphale and Crowley were visiting Anathema and Newt. Crowley spiked his drink with a lil hellfire and of course, our favorite Angel took the wring cup by accident. Does anyone know it? Thanks in advance and have a lovely day :) - @belowperfect
2. this is probably a long shot, but, there was this one fic that I read when the show first came out. in it, Aziraphale moved into Crowley's apartment after doomsday because in it Adam didn't fix the bookshop (I think) I can't remember much, but I know that it was a multi chapter fic with sexual themes later on and I wonder if it sounds familiar to anyone, I wanna find it again because it was the first fic of the fandom I read lol. I feel like I read it here on Tumblr but it might have been AO3 too I'm not sure honestly. - anon
3. Hello I hope you are doing well. I have had this fic stuck in my head and I’m not sure if it was deleted or what but it was this fic about like Aziraphale and Crowley’s sexual tension throughout time and like for Crowley it was initially more lustful and eventually they sleep together during the French Revolution only for Crowley to treat it like a one night stand and it breaks aziraphales heart. The fic continues with the end of season one and like over time Crowley realized he messed up and loves Aziraphale and they are about to sleep together before the swap and Aziraphale initially is hesitant because of last time. Does this sounds familiar at all? - anon
4. Hi folks, Thanks for all the recommendations, and the tagging, you’ve led me to so many wonderful fanfics! I’m looking for a fanfic where Crowley sees Aziraphale beheaded, I believe in China. There’s also a story about Crowley and Aziraphale meeting in Japan I think, the plot involving a childless couple who find a child, collect and cage too many birds, and a bathhouse. It may be epistolary, or a diary. It’s long, and it’s wonderful! I just read the bloody thing (twice) maybe a month ago, and now I can’t find it. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks, L - @shoemakerobstetrician
5. I’m looking for a fic where either the book or radio versions of Aziracrow somehow end up in the bookshop and won’t stop having sex and it’s driving TV!Azi absolutely bonkers. I read it like two years ago and can’t find it! - anon
If you know any of these fics please include the number in your reply! Thank you :)

Can we please please please talk about physical touch between aziracrow this season? Because it’s actually driving me to insanity so interesting.
So in season 1, we don’t see very much physical contact between Crowley and Aziraphale. And that’s certainly not because neither of them aren’t wanting, but probably rather because their sides wouldn’t like it. It’s too dangerous. Being seen together is dangerous enough, but it could be something to be explained away with the right persuasion. But any images of holding a hand, touching a shoulder, could spell certain doom for them. As we can see from the 1941 minisode, even the innocuous picture of them with the gun went from meaningless to provocative with just one bit of evidence. The zombies were going to call Furfur for the proof just after a handshake.
But it’s the after days now and perhaps they can start taking risks. And who takes the risk? Aziraphale. I think it returns back to the fact that in their relationship, Crowley does the tempting and Aziraphale loves to be tempted. There’s no evidence that Crowley tempts Aziraphale into physical contact, aside from the fact that he’s a total hottie the love of Aziraphale’s entire existence. And at this point, Aziraphale simply can’t help himself. There’s nothing holding them back so to speak. No one to be in trouble with. What other reason was there for them to have been abstaining? We all know that once Azi has been indulged, he gorges himself and is incredibly gluttonous. Once he began touching Crowley and Crowley didn’t object, I think he found another think he was starving for.
Crowley on the other hand, doesn’t seem to reciprocate. He absolutely likes it, don’t get me wrong, but we don’t see the same kind of touching on Aziraphale. I think it, again, returns to the fact that ironically, Azi is the one who is “devilish” so to speak. He’s ravenous for food, for his material objects, and for all the takings of Earth. Crowley on the other hand has a “holy” image, a humble, empty apartment, eats food very little, and yes, reserves himself from pleasures like physical touch. But here’s the kicker:
Crowley holds back because once he begins, he won’t be able to restrict himself. The only physical touch in the modern day seems to be the Kiss and it’s very fitting to his character. Aziraphale’s love for Crowley has been slow growing, building up over millennia. Crowley, however, fell hard very close to the beginning. And his love had also been growing over all these years. Crowley could not take their courtship slow once they began. He could not continue their slow dance once he got the go ahead. I believe a simple touch to Aziraphale like Azi does to him would lead him to bigger acts of love, like a kiss. His resolve would simply crumble. And he can’t have that.
It would risk everything they built. If Aziraphale was not 100% into the start of their love affair it’s possible it would all fall apart.
And the fact that it does is agonizing.

Fictober 2023 #23
Prompt #23: “No, you won't understand, ever.”
Fanfiction: Good Omens
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Pairing: Ineffable Husbands/Aziracrow
Other Notes: In which Crawly and Aziraphale make small talk, and it goes wrong, then right. 868 words!
Angel and demon perched together on the wall over the Eastern Gate, some time after Adam and Eve had left the Garden. No one had told either of them to do anything else, and they’d decided that this was as good a place as any to pass the time. It was night, cool and quiet, blanketed in a quiet broken only by occasional amphibian humming or the muted song of a tardy twilight bird. After watching the sunset, they had turned back to the East where the sky was blackest to talk of everything and nothing in the gathering night. Crawly was slumped in his typical posture, leaning with crossed arms on top of the wall, and Aziraphale sat neatly atop it, ankles crossed, airing out his wings.
“Do you miss being.. well, downstairs?” the angel asked awkwardly during a lull in the conversation, “I mean, not a lot of company up here, that is. Could get boring rather quickly.”
“Hell, you mean?” Crawly drawled, glancing over at Aziraphale, “Nah. Everything’s a bit of a mess down there. And it’s not exactly meant to be fun, you know.”
“Do you… do you miss Heaven?” This question was far more tentative than the first, and was clearly what Aziraphale had really wanted to ask. His clasped fingers fidgeted. Crawly straightened, and considered Aziraphale for a long, silent moment. The fidgeting intensified. Then,
“Nah,” Crawly repeated flatly, and turned his face eastward again, “Things are a bit of a mess up there too. I prefer it here. It’s not complicated, y’know? Just me and the animals and a couple of people out there somewhere. Well, and you, of course.” He shrugged. “Company’s not so bad.”
“I just— well,” Aziraphale struggled to find the words to express what he was trying to say. Crawly had been his only experience of a demon so far, and he couldn’t quite understand what was supposed to be so evil about him, though he was sure he must be. Then there was the matter of their previous acquaintance, and how he couldn’t shake the image of the angel he had known. “I know it’s not the same, but I haven’t been up to Heaven in quite a while either, and until you appeared I was finding it a bit lonely. So I supposed I just wanted to say that I can sort of understand, how” —he cast about for the right words— “How it can feel to.. to look up at the stars and think of what you’ve left behind.”
“No!” Crawly snapped; the angel’s words had triggered something inside him, and he turned sharply, ragged black wings flaring into manifestation of their own accord. In the pale light of the moon his face was contorted with rage, and his voice crackled with venom as he hissed, pounding his fist into the stone of the wall, “No you don’t! No, you won’t ever understand, not ever.” Aziraphale jumped back in astonishment, and found his hand reaching for the hip where he had used to carry the flaming sword. With a massive effort, Crawly drew in a shuddering breath, and turned away, pinching the bridge of his nose with one hand as the other waved vaguely at Aziraphale.
“I’m sorry, Aziraphale. I didn’t mean to scare you. It’s just,” Crowley dropped his hand, and with both splayed on top of the wall, turned his face upwards, opening his golden eyes to gaze into the nightblack sky. “I can’t see the stars,” he said quietly, and Aziraphale could see the strain at the corner of Crawly’s eyes as he tried to bring them into focus, “They took that from me in the Fall. She took that from me.” He glanced to the side and pointed at his face with one long finger and the hint of a rueful smile. “Snake eyes, you see? And there’s nothing I can do to change them,” he looked up again, brows pinching together, “I’ve tried.”
Aziraphale looked at Crawly aghast, both at the confession and of the cruelty inflicted upon him behind it. He had been there with Crawly when the then-angel had created the stars, when he’d wound up the Universe itself and spoken it into being. He’d seen the nebulae, planets, moons, suns, and all other celestial bodies come into that universe, and his companion’s joy and wonder at their being. And now, not to even be able to see the faint echoes of them? He could not imagine the pain. Nor could he imagine why God would have done such a thing.
“Oh, Crawly,” Aziraphale said at last, “I’m so sorry. I didn’t know.” Carefully he reached out and, placing his hand on top of Crawly’s, squeezed gently. Crawly looked down at it, then withdrew his hand, placed it on top of Aziraphale’s, and squeezed back before clasping both his hands in front of himself.
“Why should you? Anyway, nothing you can do about it either.”
“Would you… would you like me to describe them to you?”
It was Crawly’s turn to look astonished this time, and his mouth opened and closed a couple of times before he managed to reply,
“That would be nice, Angel. Thank you.”

Did It Hurt When You Fell?
Hello again! Sorry I’ve been gone for a while, been kind of busy! Anyway, here’s another aziracrow fic, because if you can’t tell I love this ship oof. I also love writing about Crowley’s fall, soooo. This fic is based off of @evilsausageflavouredpretzel ‘s post, which is here.
There’s kind of a trigger warning? I want to put it just in case:
Self-Harm.
Self-Hatred.
Descriptions of mutilation.
Please don’t read if any of these trigger you.
--
Someone once hit on Crowley with the line “did it hurt when you fell from Heaven?”.
He kept it together for just long enough to get back home and then had a breakdown.
He yelled at his plants. Pulled at his wings. Screamed. Cried. Relived that moment again and again and again.
It wasn’t till Aziraphale turned up, hours later, that he was finally able to ground himself.
--
Crowley sat in a bar, an hour before he was supposed to meet with Aziraphale for lunch, sipping at his rum and coke to pass the time. He had decided to only have one, as he would probably be drinking wine with Aziraphale at his bookshop later like they usually did these days.
Someone slid into the stool next to him, leaning toward the demon, elbow on the counter.
“Hey there,” He said. The demon glanced at the human, then turned back to the bar, unfazed.
“Hey.”
“Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?”
Crowley froze, glass halfway to his lips, the liquid sliding against the shape of the cup. Suddenly he couldn’t breathe, all of it hitting him at once. He never really dealt with it, you know. Just stomped the trauma down deep inside himself, nestled right in his ribcage where it grew and grew, and now it just exploded inside him, because of a pickup line.
But Crowley couldn’t force him to laugh it off or shrug it off. He had to get out, get out, away from the pain and the memories before it tore him apart.
Without responding, Crowley downed the rest of his drink and pushed away from the bar quickly. He had to get out, he couldn’t stand it.
He stumbled out to his car, opening the door and hitting the gas so hard his head hit the back of the car seat as he took off in his Bentley.
He felt tears, tears, make themselves known as he drove. He couldn’t make them stop, so he just drove and drove until he made it home, stumbling inside the flat and closing the door, leaning against the frame.
Then he fell apart.
--
Do you know what Crowley remembered the most vividly about the Fall? The smell. Not the pain, but the odor of death and sulfur and salt and evil that engulfed everything, that became his world. He Fell for days, for eons. Or maybe it was just hours. But the smell. It was so distinct and strong it seemed to become part of Crowley, melding into his skin and his clothes, his hair and every atom of his body. It stung his nose and made his eyes water. He hated the smell the most.
Then there was the pain, the feeling of Falling. It burned, burned like someone was just pouring hot lava all over you. Not just outside but inside, erasing every bit of Holiness from him, from his very essence. His eyes burned like acid as they melted from green to yellow and black. His feathers didn’t fall, both of his wings did, forcing themselves to detach from his body, ripping skin and flesh and part of his soul away. The grew back, pushing past raw, bleeding flesh as black as a hole in space. His entire back burned and ached for weeks after.
How he saw the world changed, too. He couldn’t, couldn’t, see the world as good and bad, as right and wrong. He could only see it as people trying their best, people being curious, people who obeyed, disobeyed, fought, cried, loved, existed. Pure and simple.
His entire being changed, the moment he fell into the pit of sulfur and lost everything, his home. They deemed him Crawley, the snake, meant to drive humanity to sin.
But he couldn’t be what they wanted, just like he couldn't be what Heaven wanted.
--
Crowley fell against the door, tears streaming down his face without his permission, without his consent. He screamed, yelling at his plants as he crossed the room.
“GROW BETTER! BE BETTER! DON’T SCREW UP LIKE I DID! DON’T--”
He collapsed in his chair, hugging his sides as he curled up. He didn’t even notice how his wings were out.
His yellow eyes stared at the things. He suddenly hated them even more than before, their deep dark color mocking him louder, screaming at him how much of a failure he really is.
He tore at the feathers, ripping them out in tufts. Blood and feathers fell on the floor in pools, his hands covered in the deep red substance.
“All I ever did was ask questions!” Crowley wailed, letting his hands fall, worn out. “I just wanted to know why. Why create humanity just it destroy it? For amusement? For a reason to go to war? Why is it so bad to ask?”
Crowley fell to the floor, weak with exhaustion and anguish. He laid there for Satan knows how long, tears still streaming down his face, his self-hatred still burning in his ribcage, blood and feathers still littering the floor.
He heard the door open but didn’t dare get up.
“Crowley?”
--
Aziraphale stood at the door, gaping at the sight of Crowley. His heart immediately broke and his eyes widened in worry at the sight of him, covered in blood and feathers, crying.
The demon had missed their usual date, and the angel had gotten worried. He thought Crowley might have been too drunk to think straight, as he never missed a lunch date.
“Crowley!” The angel rushed toward the demon, kneeling next to him carefully.
“Aziraphale,” Crowley muttered, remembering the lunch date. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry--”
“My dear boy, what happened to you?”
Crowley closed his eyes, tears threatening to fall again. “I did, the Fall did...”
Aziraphale softly cradled Crowley’s head in his hands. He couldn’t miracle this away, he might do more harm than good.
“Oh, love. Let me help you.”
He gently lifted the demon, who hissed in pain. Aziraphale heart lurched at the sight of Crowley’s wings, wanting so badly to miracle the pain away.
“I don’ deserve you, angel. I’m sorry you have me, I’m sorry--”
Aziraphale quieted him softly. “Save your breath, dear.”
He laid him down in the tub, now miracled full with hot water. Crowley gasped as the water hit his fresh wounds. He gripped the edge of the tub in pain, closing his eyes. Aziraphale rubbed his arm. “I’m sorry, love. I have to clean these wounds.”
He grabbed a rag and gently ran it down the demon’s wings. Crowley hissed and yelped, arching his back.
Once the angel was done, he miracle bandages into his hand and wrapped Crowley’s wings up, the blood already starting to soak them.
“Alright, dear. Up you go.”
He helped the demon out of the tub and made him sit on the bed, laying on his stomach. His mutilated wings draped on each side of him, hanging heavily.
“Talk to me,” The angel said firmly.
Crowley shook his head. “S’stupid.”
“It’s not stupid if you’re doing this to yourself, Crowley!” Aziraphale insisted. “This is serious! I’m worried about you, dear.”
Crowley didn’t respond, but Aziraphale waited.
“A man came, at a bar I was at. Asked me if it hurt when I fell from Heaven,” His breath hitched. “It all just...came crashing down on me.”
The demon looked down. “I asked questions. Heaven didn’t like it. I didn’t deserve to fall. But I did anyway. It hurt, more than you can know.”
“I was cast out of the only home I’ve ever known, into another place where I didn’t really fit it. I didn’t fit well in heaven either, but it was all I knew.”
Aziraphale squeezed the demon’s hand, listening like he always did.
“I’ve...hated myself ever since. For asking too many questions. I don’ deserve someone like you, angel. I don’t deserve...this.”
Aziraphale lifted Crowley’s chin so the demon looked him in the eyes. “Crowley,” He began. “You are so in the wrong. You deserve everything you have here. You didn’t deserve to fall, to feel pain like that, love. But you do deserve happiness, content.”
“Who knows who I would’ve been without you, dear. You taught me to question, and we saved the world because of it. You care, Crowley. And that makes you deserving of what you have right now, and more. I would not be me without you, dear.”
Crowley was crying again. “How can you love me? A demon? Scum of the earth, Aziraphale? How can you think--”
“I don’t think, dear. I know. Crowley, it is I that don’t deserve you.”
Aziraphale kissed the demon on the lips, proving his words true in just a small touch, lip to lip.
“Please, promise me you won’t do this too yourself again.”
Crowley paused and nodded. “I won’t, angel.”
Aziraphale sighed deeply, laying down next to the demon.
And Crowley finally felt at peace.
--
!!! I hope this was okay. I really liked the prompt and was inspired to write more about Crowley’s fall, because I like thinking about different ways Crowley could have fallen. :) Anyway, thanks for reading!
