there is something legitimately impressive when somebody creates a villain that I utterly despise and do not find in the least fuckable. I don't mean "enjoy hating because they're fun to watch" or "find boring," I mean a character I truly loathe who I would personally take joy in squishing like a bug. I feel like it takes some work and I feel like matt mercer managing it deserves a special amount of credit for the feat
