C. A. Cupid Headcanons:
Her full name is Chariclo Arganthone Cupid. She doesn’t introduce her first name, since she knows most people won’t be able to pronounce or even remember it.
She is a demigod. This means she is not immortal, but she is extremely long-living and has god-like powers. She is over 1500 years old and has been a teenager for a few centuries now.
She caused the whole fiasco with Romeo and Juliet. She doesn’t like to talk about it.
Cupid has crazy abandonment issues. Having been left on the steps of Eros’s temple as a newborn, she’s always been grateful for her godly parents. That being said, she feels she has to prove to them that she’s worthy of being their daughter.
She’s having a bit of an identity crisis at the moment. At Monster High, she had felt she wasn’t scary enough. At Ever After High, she feels too monstrous. She’s neither a true fairytale nor a true monster. She’s not even a true god. She tries to fill the void will some sort of distraction, whether that be her radio show or her love life.
That said, since coming to Ever After, she’s had to change her entire personality for her own safety. She actually hates being sweet and saccharine, but she knows she has to so she may blend in. She wishes she could be more witty and outspoken like she was at Monster High, and she misses the freedom that came with attending her former school.
She sometimes slips and calls her friends “ghouls” or “beasties”. Reactions range from confused to offended, so Cupid tries to use fairytale slang as much as possible to acclimate to this new society.
She has six older siblings called the Erotes. They are the biological children of Eros, are fully immortal, and focus more on lustful desires than real love. They would often pick on Cupid for being a hopeless, sappy romantic. They own a nightclub called Venus.
Cupid desperately wants to know who her birth parents were. She already feels out of place in Monster High, Ever After High, and the rest of her family, so she figures knowing where she came from will help her understand her true place in the world.
She loves sweets, but she has her limits. She prefers dark chocolate and black licorice over other sugary snacks.
She hates archery. Most think it’s because she’s a terrible shot (which she is), but she doesn’t like the idea of messing with someone’s head. She will only use them if they are an absolute necessity, such as when Draculaura was hypnotized by Kieran Valentine.
She hates love potions. She finds them deceptive and disgusting. She realizes that’s somewhat hypocritical on her end. But, in her defense, she knows the consequences that come with love and magical matchmaking. It’s why she prefers her radio show over her arrows.
Cupid is painfully aware of how fairytale society views beasts and monsters, and it’s precisely the reason she keeps Monster High a secret. She doesn’t want to lose any fairytale friends, but she also doesn’t want any of her monster friends to be disrespected. She reasons that if she doesn’t talk about it and fakes being afraid of certain situations, then nobody gets hurt. It does hurt that she can’t talk about it though.
She can fly, but using her wings for transportation takes a lot of energy. She hadn’t had to use them until recently, since her Monster High wings were made of bone. Needless to say, she’s still getting used to this new power.
She has a close relationship with Hades and his wife Persephone. She visits them during winter break.
Cupid has a thing for the color blue. She doesn’t know why, but everyone she’s been naturally attracted to has worn blue in some form.
She loves horror movies. They remind her of her ghoul-friends, though she has a few words to say about how the fairytale word portrays monster representation.
She’s a talented astrologer. She uses it in her love advice show and for her own life in general, mostly for her own peace of mind.
She prefers 1930s and 40s jazz on vinyl over mainstream pop radio music.
Cupid still remains close friends with Dexter. She did need some time away from him at first (obviously), but they still care about one another. She’s even formed a close bond with Raven after getting to know her more. She reminds Cupid of her friends at Monster High.

J2 VegasCon 2019 Main Panel

Jensen: Whenever we come out and do one of those jumps, I always wonder if today’s the day one of us blows a hip.
Jensen’s microphone keeps making a high pitched sound lol.
They ask how many first-timers are there. Jensen: Okay, well, I’d like to remind you we’ve been on this show for fourteen years, doing these for thirteen and a half. Where were you???
Jared: We are five days into our final hiatus. Jensen: Five days into our hiatus beard!
Jensen won’t shave for a few months.
J2 whispering and Jensen cracking up :P
Jensen reveals that Jared is wearing a party patch (they help with hangovers). Jared puts his leg on Jensen’s lap and rolls up his pant leg to show the patch lol.
J2 gave the crew party patches at the s14 wrap party.
Fan asks if they believe in the supernatural in real-life. Jensen doesn’t not believe in ghosts. First to think there’s a logical explanation. But he’s certainly open to the availability that that 1% could be supernatural. Even though he’s never experienced it in real life.
Jensen explains the difference between unnatural and supernatural. Unnatural = Jared. Supernatural = us
Norton fixes Jared’s rolled up pants which turns a little dirty, naturally :P
Fan: Which supporting actors have gone on that have had great careers that you’re still close with? The guest star Jared connects with the most is the girl who played Ruby in season 4 ;) Jensen says they knew Sterling K. Brown was a star when he was on spn, that the Force was strong with him. It’s no surprise he’s had the success that he’s had. Also: Well we’re close to Jeffrey Dean Morgan, even though he hasn’t really done much since spn. He’s still cool.
J2 ran into Felicia Day yesterday and talked about her daughter aww
Jared watched “Wendigo” recently, named a couple of guest stars (assuming Alden Ehrenreich was one of them ;))
A fan apparently rushed the stage, emotional/screaming and upset about wanting an autograph. Some fans tweeted that she has autism. Fans tweeted that J2, Clif, and Creation handled the situation well. At one point J2 left the stage to help defuse the situation. When they came back out after Jared shouted out: “Our member of the family is having a hard time. We all have had hard times.” He wants us all to be kind. The boys are completely fine. (Some details)
Fan: So after the show, will you continue to shave? Boys: Up here not down there... lol
Jensen: We were talking about Jared’s Viking braids.
Jensen teased about Jared shaving his head like Borja did yesterday for charity. They said they’d have Misha do it lol.
Answering sincerely, they acknowledge their look will change a bit, to have their own identities. Jensen: “Dean is the best imaginary friend I’ve ever had in my life. He’ll be a part of me for the rest of my life. But I don’t have to look like him for the rest of my life.”
Also: “It all depends on what our wives want us to look like.” lol
Jared wants to go bowlegged. Asks Jensen how it is, to which he replies “airy.”
Jensen hopes their relationships with cast and crew will last a lifetime and that is what, quote, “fuels us up.”
J2 are signed to do cons past s15 and won’t end for a while :)
What is Jared most looking forward to after the show? Getting to know our kids, our wives, and ourselves. Also not shaving!
Jared: I’m excited to be a dad. Spend more time with the kiddos. Is also excited for the boring.
Jensen’s never known his wife and kids without the show. It’s been a constant. It’s going to be interesting to see where life goes. He’s excited for the opportunity to spend more time with his kids, wife, and friends. To not get on an airplane.
Jensen: I'm looking forward to but have been happy to have professional opportunities go by these past 14 years in order to tell this story.
Has anything impacted you (professionally) like SPN has impacted us? Jared says he isn’t sure. Even when “off” we can’t remove our “wigs” like Borja (lol) We’re still working! Always!
Jensen said he and Misha will need vocal therapy after the show to get their voices back to normal. Jensen: I tried to emulate JDM as Dean’s father by speaking with this gravelly voice. I didn’t know I’d been doing this for 15 seasons. I’m a lot older than he was when he played my dad. Jared: Yeah, no kidding!!
Fan: How do demons deposit sulfur? Jensen: *runs around the stage, making farting noises*
What’s on their bucket lists? And the weirdest thing on there? The fan has an accent that J2 both attempt. Jared says (about the accent): “It’s beautiful and I’m jealous of people who speak better than me, which is everyone.”
We have learned Jared doesn’t have a bucket list. Then he says he would love to go on a helicopter ride. He’s never done it before and it’s the small things. Jensen is unimpressed.
Jared: “What I meant to say was...have a...pet...koala...bear...” Jensen: JUST STOP.
Jensen says, “I want to watch my children grow up.”
Jared says he can watch his children grow up from the helicopter. Jensen quips, “That’s called helicopter parenting.”
Jared shakes the fan’s hand and asks where her accent is from, repeating that it’s beautiful. She says, “Yorkshire.” He goes, “no YOU’RE sure.” LOL
The dad jokes are strong today.
For the final season, this is the first year J2 have said to the writers and producers that they would like to be part of the creative process in the direction and the story of s15. J2 have been invited to the storyboarding with the creators in LA for the final season and definitely want to give their input. They don’t know if they’ll listen, and J2 are prepared for that, but nobody’s lived with Sam and Dean longer than they have. They would love to give input that the show and characters deserve. <3
Jensen: “No one knows these characters more than Jared and I.”
Jared: As a fan of the show, I'd like to offer my input.
Jensen says they watch the episodes in order to give themselves critical feedback. They don’t read comments on social media re: feedback.
It’s hard for them to watch themselves as just an audience. Including other TV shows like GOT and This Is Us.
J2 both loved “Death's Door” then realized we weren't in it much. Jensen: Are we weighing it down? Jared: We're critical of ourselves
Fan: Jensen, you were amazing last night [at the concert]. Jared: Oh, if you think he was amazing last night... :P
Fan asks if Jensen really played piano on Dark Angel and any memories from the show? It was a little of both Jensen and a pro (close-ups are not him playing). It was a VERY difficult song to learn how to play, Chopin he thinks. He has to think hard to dig up funny stories.
When Jessica Alba gets in the boxing ring (with him) she lined up the punch and hit him RIGHT in the nose. (One of the MANY reasons it’s “so jacked up”) He was too young to say “cut! That hurt!” Realizes he doesn’t do that now, either lol.
Another episode he gets slapped, but the actress wasn’t getting the timing for the fake slap right. She was petite so he assumed it wouldn’t be too bad... But he had a WELT on his face. Whole crew went “oof.”
“Scoobynatural” question for the final scene, how many takes? A small crowd had gathered outside across the street. They’re 20 yards away and can’t hear the regular dialogue. But Jensen knew they would get that last line, and he was embarrassed to say the line because those people wouldn’t know the context.
Jared: They’re so old they’re animating themselves to be on camera! lol
A fan said she lost her favorite beanie in the Bellagio fountain and was asking on recommendations to get a new one.
Jared gave his beanie to the fan aww. Then Jensen told Jared that he lost his favorite watch, and Jared immediately took off his watch and gave it to Jensen. Jensen cuddles Jared. Jared then tells Jensen he lost his favorite pair of underwear LOL
Last question: Fan wants to know where Jensen and Jared went during the “French Mistake” episode. Jensen says they were at a con. Jared says VegasCon! Or maybe it was Balthazar. But Jensen prefers to think they just didn’t show up for work because “they’re asshole actors.”

merry christmas @clowmaster!! i hope you like this fic! (fic under cut) @eah-exchange
apple was leaving her nine am class when she picked up the notebook. the notebook was quite unremarkable, a black-and-purple striped thing that didn’t look much like apple’s own white-with-gold-etchings-of-forest-animals that she’d ordered specially online to help her cope with the fact that her biology one class was at nine am on a monday (sometimes she wondered what, exactly, she had done for the universe to hurt her like this - she may have been a morning person, but biology wasn’t the first thing she wanted to study after breakfast).
but despite the differences in the notebooks, apple grabbed it. what she had not realized was that she’d grabbed the one from her neighbor’s desk as well as her own. she did, however, realize it when she sat down to recopy her notes that night and pulled a notebook that most certainly was not hers out of the bag. after digging around and confirming her own notebook was there, she decided to investigate. the handwriting in the notebook was a blocky scrawl, almost illegible at times, not at all like apple’s own neat script that she had spent years perfecting, and in the margins there was doodles of apples and roses and creeping vines, and hearts with what seemed like…her own name in them? hmm. that certainly seemed odd.
apple frowned, putting her own notes aside, and picked up <i>the notebook</i>. all of the notes were written in what seemed to be a dark purple ink, and had…what seemed like the writer’s own commentary in them? on a page taking notes on the topics of other people’s group projects, which they’d had instead of a midterm, she’d written “daring’s topic is so pretentious,,” and after the notes about maddie’s project she’d just drawn three of those emojis with heart eyes. and then apple stopped herself. when had she started thinking of the owner of the notebook as a she? she had no idea who the notebook belonged to. it could have belonged to a boy. in fact, it probably did, given that the writer seemed to have a crush on her, as evidenced by the doodles of apple herself with sparkly anime eyes and hearts surrounding her portrait. she just wished she knew whose notebook she had, so she could give it back. there wasn’t a name written in the front (something apple had carefully done to all of her notebooks, along with her phone number and email in case they ever got lost). the only hint she had to go off of was a small arrow heart, scrawled in the corner of the page where they’d taken notes about stem cells that had “a.w. + r. p.”. the second initial could possibly have been “s. q.” she really wasn’t sure? the handwriting was a bit hard to read, which left her in approximately the same position as before.
she picked her phone up off her bed, where she’d set it to charge as she studied (though that hadn’t quite gone exactly to plan) and texted the group chat where she and her friends exchanged notes.
apple_darling_white : hey do you guys know anyone in our bio class with the initials s. q. or r. p.?
thorny_beauty : no?
blondie_bear : uh,,
blondie_bear : sparrow hood is in our bio class? but he never shows
blondie_bear : oh, and raven queen is. she sits next to you sometimes!!
apple_darling_white : omg thank u blondie!! bye!
apple felt a small burst of excitement in her chest, and wanted to throw her phone across the room squealing. she knew who the owner of the notebook was! she knew in her heart that it was raven queen. she wanted to yell (she didn’t, for fear of disturbing her roommate — lizzie was grouchy enough as it was, most days). she opened her phone to contacts and pulled up raven’s name (they’d exchanged names and number during accepted student’s weekend).
apple_darling_white : hey um raven?? i think i may have your bio notebook!
corvid_ruler : shit.
corvid_ruler : apple tell me u didn’t open it.
apple_darling_white : um. i kinda did?
apple_darling_white : it’s how i knew it was yours
corvid_ruler : i promise it isn’t what it looks like apple
corvid_ruler : i just. augh. god.
corvid_ruler : i kind of. have a crush on you?
apple blinked. this somehow, was exactly what she’d expected, and somehow not at all what she’d pictured. she hadn’t expected raven to admit it. she had just thought that she would give the notebook back, with no talking, like an exchange in a hostage situation, and they would never speak of the arrow hearts and doodles of apple inside.
apple_darling_white : oh.
apple_darling_white : raven i…
corvid_ruler : apple u don’t have to do this. u don’t have to let me down gently.
apple_darling_white : i’m not!!!
apple_darling_white : raven, i like you too!!

apple_darling_white : raven, it’s not. i really do like you. i think you’re super cute and have since we met.

apple grinned. she kept grinning as they decided to meet on tuesday to go for coffee. she was so nervous that she had such a hard time finding the perfect outfit, but after going through several choices, she ended up wearing a cream cardigan with a skater dress that had a green apple print with green heels and a glass apple pendant that blondie helped her pick out, and so apple white arrived on time to her first date with raven queen. she couldn’t believe it, really (she was so excited). she brought the notebook along, ready to return it to its rightful owner.
“here you go,” apple said, handing it over.
raven kissed her on the cheek. “thanks, apple,” she said, and apple had to resist the urge to scream. she had the feeling this date was going to go perfectly.

About this Supercorp thing:
I’m hurt. At first I thought that I shouldn’t be hurt, that I should just laugh it off and act like it was no big deal. But then I thought about it. I’ve spent my whole life being torn between people assuming every relationship I have with a woman is romantic/sexual, and people thinking women can’t have romantic/sexual relationships with eah other. Just today, my mum was arguing with me that “girls feel pressured to label their friendships with other women as gay” and all sort so other, ignorant things which basically could be summed up with: Girls can only be friends with each other, and not romantic partners.
And, despite Supergirl making such a big deal of their gay representation with Maggie and Alex (which is really kind of underwhelming), the majority of the cast seem to think that the idea of two close friends with great chemistry having a romantic relationship is ridiculous. Funny. A joke.
It hurts. It hurts to have my sexuality ridiculed. It hurts to have the effort we as wlw make to create our own representation with fanworks being dismissed and mocked. And it hurts more because it’s coming from people I wanted to look up to.
I’ve seen a lot of queer fans saying that they are probably going to give up on Supergirl now that Floriana Lima is leaving, because that means Sanvers will have an unhappy ending and the positive wlw representation wil come to n end (possibly). And they have decided that if the cast won’t take them seriously, they won’t support them.
I understand that. A lot of these fans started watching Supergirl just because of Sanvers. To see themselves represented as strong, powerful, loving women.
I watched Supergirl when it first came on, and I loved Season one. It meant to##so uch to me to see a show which so many great female characters. A female superhero as the lead. I loved seeing how for once there was so much femslash in the fandom, because finally there were enough female characters too allow for it. Even before it HAD queer representation, I loved that about it.
And I found it so helpful to escape to that world of heroes and superpowers when my life was falling apart.
Season 2 was different. Season 2 no longer seemed centred around positive female representation. Lucy Lane and Cat Grant disappear. They make James Guardian and then almost sideline him anyway. And the hero I loved fell in love with a character I hated, who suddenly became more important than any other character. Mon-El comes in. His first reactioon upon waking is to strangle someone. He wasn’t running from attackers. Still, he fights his way out and caused a lot of damage.
Most of the time, I let that one pass, because he was scared, possibly in shock, and sdisoriented.
But it’s telling that the first interaction he has with Kara has her being gentle and him being violent.
I watched their relationship evolve. KMon-El refused to respect Kara’s wishes, got a job beating people up for money (which surely Maggie or the DOE should have arressted him for) and was selfish and unkind.
When he began to develop feelings for her, that was fine. Who wouldn’t fall a little in love with Kara? But then all these brilliant characters listened to Kara saying she wasn’t interested in him, and told her to get together with him anyway.
It made no sense to me.
It got worse when Kara did agree to be in a relationship with Mon--El. He immediately became extremely, violently posessive. He refused to trust Kara. He spoke over her, ignored her wishes, and tried to kill someone not because he shared the same controlling and arrogant behaviours as Mon-El, bhut because he didn’t trust that Kara wouldn’t just decide to marry a total stranger.
He lied to her about who he was. He was emotionally controlling and he scared me. But this was presented as a serious and “beautiful” romance.
But there was a contrasting presence in Kara’s life. One that made the whole thing almost bearable.
Lena Luthor had every reason to hate Supergirl, and CatCo for supporting her. But instead she works with Supergirl and seems to adore Kara. She is unerringly supportive of Kara. The writers constantly test her, hinting that she might turn evil, but even under huge pressure she remains good. She remains a hero, far more than Mon-El.
She and Kara have so much chemistry. They care for each other so much. Both of them support the other. They don’t have screaming matches but talk rationally when they disagree.
To me, it made so much more sense than Kara’s relationship with Mon-El. I knew it would never be canon, which sabut reading fanworks was enough. Watching each moment between them and hanging on to every moment for hints that they liked each other (which were very frequent).
This ship may not be canon, but for queer fans it can feel very real and very important. As I found with sea son one, fanworks can connect us to each other, help us find others in our community, and share with each other the representation we wish we could see on television or in film.
These actors play heroes. They play people I look up to. And I admired them for that. I admired Jeremy Jordan for speaking out about a relative in a conversion camp. I admired Katie McGrath and Melissa Benosist for talking about Supercorp. And I was delighted that the creators had introduced a canon wlw couple.
So yes, it hurt when I watched them mocking a wlw couple. It hurt to see this people use their public position to indicate that wlw couples are are joke, that women can only be friends and not lovers.
It hurt to have people I looked up to be so much be so rude about the very idea of women loving each other romantically. It hurt that they were ignorant enough to not think they were doing anything wrong.
It hurt to be watching an interview with people I looked up to and have it shoved in my face that nobody takes wlw seriously.
I don’t know if I’m going to give up on Supergirl. I don’t think it will give me the joy that it used to. I think that what I love about the show may not be there anymore.
I want to be wrong. I don’t know yet whether I’m going to give season 3 a chance. But I hope, regardless, that the cast learn how hurtful this attitude can be, and that representation in Supergirl improves. I hope the show improves.
I just don’t know if I can set myself up to be disappointed, to be hurt, again.
