Being both European and an otaku who loves anime songs is quite unfavorable if you want to listen to Japanese performers live because there are few opportunities. That's why you can't even imagine my joy that I could be at the coldrain concert!!!

(It was also a great reminder that I can crush not only fictional characters but also real musicians)

#I seriously went into simp mode when I saw these guys (including the ones from the supports)#honestly I discovered coldrain before I started watching anime #I was seriously entering my emo phase (which didn't pass because it's not a phase mom) and I was looking for heavier songs #and that's how I came across coldrain #In fact I haven't watched almost any anime for which they recorded songs #but these songs are great anyway #It's a funny situation because at a concert between bands some people next to me were saying something about openings #and a girl asked what were the openings from JJK was because she couldn't remember #then I come in and start singing “You are my special”#and she joined immediately!#great night #everything hurts but it was worth it #coldrain #personal rant #personal post #anime songs

Am I the only who loves the fact that Olly literally created the most subtle F U to the EBU by having the colors of the Palestinian Flag and got away with it.

Bruh, he even have a Keffiyeh-like pattern feature in the climax (although it looks more like a checker board but I think the resemblance is a bit uncanny, don't ya think?)

oki but like merging "Cool As I Think I Am" and "If I Loved You" in the reprise is like fucking genius tbh like I am genuinely impressed by how both of the arcs explored in both songs were summed up neatly in the reprise in a sense that Pete finds his solid sense of identity and a big reason for that is Steph loving him despite not readily admitting it LIKE "If I really really did love you, you'd have to say-" "I know." ESPECIALLY WITH THE MAIN MESSAGE OF "IF I LOVED YOU" BEING THAT OF THE TWO DENYING THEIR FEELINGS FOR ONE ANOTHER BECAUSE THEY'D MAKE IT SUPER DAMN CLEAR TO THE OTHER IF THEY DID HAVE THEM SO WITH PETE SAYING THAT HE KNOWS AND WITH HIM LETTING STEPH KNOW HE DOES LOVE HER BACK BY BEING WILLING TO TAKE THE BULLET FOR HER LIKE FJSJDJAFJSJD
