wait people know tsumiki was abusive to patients before being accepted into hpa/meeting junko right like thats 100% canon and the reason she went into nursing was because she enjoyed having people dependent on her and isnt above making them be dependent on her
#do u guys not remember her 3rd and 4th fte or what#saw a thing being like 'its a rumour that how tsumiki acts in the 3rd trial is her 'real' personality and shes committed acts before'#and like obv in the 3rd trial she had reverted to shsl despair but that doesnt mean she wasnt an abusive nurse before she ever met junko???#like she has done fucked up shit in the past and its so weird how its ignored bc ppl were also abusive to her + then junko happened#but um turns out taking ur frustration and resentment out on ur patients isnt going to fix or stop the abuse youve been suffering#idk why this is being made into a dichotomy of either shes fucked up OR junko also extra fucked her up like these can both be true lol#her 4th fte is all about how to hold power over people without killing them like?????? idgi#(medical abuse makes me insane both in the special interest + keep it far away from me way so seeing it ignored makes me even more insane)#like i know people love making women characters 1 dimensional but its ok she can be interesting and have a fucked up backstory as a treat#u can be a victim and a perpetrator!! like is it not more interesting for her to have to relearn how to care and break her own bad habits?#(in addition to having to unlearn her own dependence and devotion to junko of course)#like finding a purpose in helping people is a great goal but the pre-hpa snapshot of tsumiki we see in sdr2/island mode is more like worrie#she wont have a purpose unless she forces people to be dependent on her and these insecurities are from her past not from anything junko di#a lot of the shsl ppl struggle with their talents and properly living up to them and like reflecting on how tsumiki views nursing and peopl#who are dependent on nurses and like changing those views so she isnt taking the opportunity to force people to depend on her and instead#meeting them where theyre at in a way that will benefit the patient not her insecurities#anyways long tag rant at least its my own post ;P#tsumiki

Okay, but like - Ryoko dissociates. A lot.
I didn't realize that's what it is, but whenever she runs into something that's shocking or terrifying or overwhelming, she shuts off and repeats that it has nothing to do with her over and over until it calms her down. Often, it's an intentional sort of numbing herself until she forgets whatever caused the shut off in the first place; once her short term memory loss kicks in and she forgets, she goes back to normal (mostly. ish).
My thing is...if Ryoko is Junko, is this something that Junko also does? Or once did? As Junko separate from Ryoko? As herself? Or is this something unique to Ryoko?

I hate Mukuro’s characterization in the anime So Fucking Much

So, we all know our dear lucky boy isn't exactly the tallest of students. In fact, his height make it so shameless girls like Junko use his head as a shelf to rest her heavy breasts on. How does he reacts to this?
Warning: lewd content below
"J-junko." Makoto meekly protests the blonde's treatment of him. He wasn't the tallest of students, clocking in at a very unimpressive 5 foot 3 (which he claims is the average height for Japanese boys his age). As such, he's been victim to a multitude of teasing for it. Like being dunked on in basketball games, having his items held above him out of his reach, or being teased by girls for having an abnormally large dick compared to his size. Y'know, average teasing every short boy experiences. However there was always one girl who knew how to go above and beyond with her teasing.
"Yes? Something the matter, shorty?" Junko replied innocently. To most students it would seem like there were normal students just studiying together in the library, but the lucky boy was aware Junko knew just how to push all the right buttons when it came to Makoto's height. She rarely referred to him by his name, normally a degrading nickname. She often decided things by order of height, leaving him dead last ever since Chihiro's growth spurt. She frequently took advantage of the fact he couldn't reach high up places by placing things he needed on the top shelf. And when he stood on a stool to reach them, she pantsed him! Even in front of others! Which always led to very awkward conversations with anyone who sees, or another situation like that one in the rec room. Makoto shudders; he still gets dreams about that night.
"It's uhm." Makoto looks down. "It's what's in my head." Makoto addressed the elephant in the room, Junko's elephant sized jugs resting ontop of his head!
"Oh c'mon short stuff, don't ya realize how much big titties hurt a gals back? Can't I rest them for a second?"
"It's been ten minutes!"
"Aww, so you've been keeping track?" Junko smirked evily as Makoto's face exploded into an cacophony of red. "Fine fine, if you insist tiny, I'll move my boobs."
"T-thank you." Makoto sighed in relief, his face returning to its natural color. That was until he saw where Junko moved her chest too. Instead of on top of his head, it was right in front of it! Makoto's face redened again, this time from begin mere inches away from motorboating Junko. Makoto backed up, but Junko kept pace with him until the lucky student's back was literally against the wall.
"Geez, it's just soooo hoooot." Junko stretched out each vowel as she played with her tie. Then suddenly, her boobs popped out from beneath her bra. "Much better~." All pretences were dropped as Junko's boobs were literally suffocating Makoto, not that the shorter boy seemed to mind. He began shaking his head while in her cleavage, motorboating her massive knockers.
"Good boy~. Now do me one better short stack, and pull out that-"
"AHEM."
Both Makoto and Junko froze in place, both remembering that there was in fact other people within the school library. Watching them. The whole time.
"Meet me in my room in 5?"
"Y-yes please."

Mikan Tsumiki has Histrionic Personality Disorder
Tumblr media
I bet you thought I was joking about typing up a whole analysis on this. Let me preface this by saying I'm not histrionic myself, so please let me know if I make any mistakes when discussing this.
This is less of a headcanon, and more of a theory due to the large amount of evidence, that being said, if you dislike or disagree with it, that's a-okay!
A nice long analysis under the cut.
To those unfamiliar with HPD, Wikipedia defines it as "a personality disorder characterized by a pattern of excessive attention-seeking behaviors, usually beginning in early adulthood" which certainly fits what we see of Mikan in canon.
Here's a screenshot for evidence:
Tumblr media
That being said, we should point out that Mikan's behaviours in high stress situations like a killing game isn't equivalent to how she'd behave normally. That being said, lets get into the actual diagnostic criteria for HPD!
Tumblr media
I think we can right away check off E, since deliberately falling in suggestive positions is one of Mikan's main character quirks. I could post the CG of her doing this as evidence, but lets not.
I also feel like D is another easy criteria to mark off, since most of Mikan's relationships are characterized by her desire for approval and appreciation. This is most notable with her abusive relationship with Junko, but we also see some shades of this during her FTEs with Hajime, implying it isn't specific to this bad relationship.
Tumblr media
Mikan needs somebody in her life that forgives her existence, and every action, both positive and negative, she takes. But that isn't all the evidence that I have that Mikan is continuously seeking appreciation and approval from others, since its a large part of her talent.
A lot of ways Mikan gets positive attention from others is through nursing them back to health, and its one of the few areas in her life she feels confident in. That being said, in one of her FTEs she says some... questionable things about her patents.
Tumblr media
And here it is again in Danganronpa S, showing it wasn't just her phrasing things oddly.
Tumblr media
Her working as a nurse isn't completely altruistic, since she feeds off the attention and power she has over her patients.
I think that checks off "continual seeking for excitement, appreciation by others, and activities in which the patient is the centre of attention" really solidly. I have less evidence for the rest of the diagnostic criteria, but I believe they fit anyway. I feel like she fits "self-dramatization, theatricality, exaggerated expression of emotions;"
but its a bit harder to say for sure due to a lot of Danganronpa characters doing the same thing, so its unclear how normal Mikan's reactions are in her own universe.
Mikan has one of the more extreme breakdowns of the series, but she was not entirely in her right mind at the time, so idk if I should count it. She also has a very extreme shot to the heart event compared to other characters, where Hajime must propose to her to get the best ending.
Here are some quotes where she has a very exaggerated emotional expression, for your consideration. ""Ah! I-I'm sorry for laughing so suddenly! I-It's just...I can't help it. I'm just so happy, I can't remember the last time I made any friends... Ah, not that you actually want to be friends with me! I'm soooo sorry I said something so...presumptuous! I'll do anything you say... Just...please don't hate me...!"" ""Ah, so in the end...you're all just a bunch of bullies, huh? Justifying your actions with fancy words... M-Making excuses for why it's not really your fault... E-Everyone always treats me like that... Always... "It's all her fault..." "Sh-She's the one with the problem..." I...I'm done with that! You hear me!? I'm doooooooooone! It's not fair...It's not fair not fair not fair notfair notfair notfair notfairnotfairnotfairnotfairnotfair... Why won't you forgive me!? If you did something wrong...you'd forgive yourself right away...! What did I do!? Why won't anybody forgive me!?""
I also think there's a solid argument for her meeting the "over-concern with physical attractiveness." criteria! It is the main way she gets attention, after all. A lot of her comments have to do with her body, and a lot of the presents she likes are things she can wear.
So long as you belive one of the 'maybe' criteria, then she has enough for a proper HPD diagnosis.

been thinking about persona and its depiction of motherhood. or: what it doesn't depict.
this started with me being annoyed that there is yet another dead saintly mother in persona 5 tactica. then I started considering: wait, when are persona mothers not saintly? when are persona mothers human? and the answer is: almost never.
I cast my mind back, thinking over all of the prominent depictions of mothers in the series. I think the one that stands out the most to me is Maki's mother in Persona 1. She loves her daughter unconditionally, but she also screws up sometimes, and doesn't spend enough time with her sickly daughter in the hospital, causing her daughter to resent her.
After that, the next one I can think of is Junko, from Persona 2. She isn't nearly as prominent as Maki's mother is in the narrative, but her focus on beauty over her child is certainly something of note that I wish the story had explored more (even if, as a girl who married a teacher and gave birth a short span of years later, as far as I remember, her obsession with her beauty and youth is understandable). In the end she seems to regret her actions and how they affected Jun.
Then we have Yukari's mother, Persona 3, who Yukari doesn't get along with due to how they dealt differently with her father's death. It's a big rift between the two that only slowly begins to heal, and that shows that both sides are human and how they were hurt and split apart by a tragedy that they might have better dealt with together.
After that... We have very little. What mother figure exists in Persona 4? We have Nanako's mother, who died tragically but is referred to as a loving and wonderful woman. What mother figure exists in Persona 5? We have Akechi's mother, who died tragically but is referred to as a loving and wonderful woman. Same with Wakaba, who is distorted by Futaba's perception of her, but is ultimately a kind and loving mother. Persona 5 Strikers? Akane's mother. Persona 5 Tactica? Toshiro's mother.
If we consider the Confidants, in Persona 5 we do have Shinya's mother, who... is overprotective, yes, but also loves her son very dearly. There is no resentment, merely concern that goes too far.
There are many absent or missing mothers in Persona, all of whom are said to have been loving and kind and wonderful woman. Several times, people will repeat lines about the unconditional and wonderful love of a mother. There are so many loving and kind and wonderful mothers that it seems like recent Persona games take for granted this idea that "mothers will always love their children", which seems rather ridiculous when compared to the presence of abusive fathers (Akechi, Ryuji, Akira in Strikers, and now Toshiro).
This sort of double standard, wherein lines about the unconditional love of a mother, even when their children come from men who are cruel or unkind to them, are spouted whilst men are shown to be abusive, annoys me. It is as if women must have some sort of inherent goodness, some inherent quality of motherhood which men lack, that makes men more prone to abuse.
The Persona series is no stranger to having issues with gender - look at the depiction of drag in Persona 4 and 5, the one-off transgender woman in Persona 3 who was depicted as predatory, the trans NPC in Persona 2 who wants to rip men's dicks off - but I don't think people often talk about how it choose, in recent years, time and time again, to depict mothers as holy saints.
I was playing Tactica, watching Futaba insist on the love of mothers and Toshiro's cognition of his dead mother insist that she loved him dearly, and I thought: why? Why is this trope of the saintly dead mother so pervasive in recent Persona games?
I hope it stops soon.

its finally time i was annoying about the most underrated aspect of matsukamu-- its role in the post sdr2 timeline
because matsuda is dead and izuru has adopted the hajime existance once again theres thousands of memories of izuru which hajime is left attempting to make sense of. The ones of junko and izurus strange bond, the pity towards mukuro, the spectating of the world ending and subsequent killing game, the process of izuru being made
its all cloudy and difficult to navigate and the future foundation is no help because they have stored away in hajime vital information that they need to essentially harvest for the betterment of the future.
and tucked away inside of izurus mind behind the overwhelming force of junko is the feint existence of matsuda who had this deep bond with izuru that was cut off due to the tragedy and is now forever incapable of being rekindled due to matsuda being murdered at the end of dr0
its incredibly tragic above all the other horrifying memories because its something that is so undeniably human of izuru, to foster a deep connection with another person-- and the inevitability of its demise.
additionally, this is information that izuru can keep to himself, away from prying eyes of the future foundation, away from even hajimes existence a private collection of memories wherein the only other person apart of them is no longer there to remember
its just really compelling idkkkkk i love matsukamu and its so tragic to remember that my fun au where matsuda and izuru run away into the sunset isnt the reality of canon (not to say matsukamu is canon but you know what i mean) and i think that when analyzing these two characters within canon its important to note that whatever occured between the two was killed prematurely

i make fun of taka's death all the time, and i dont give a shit about him dying since he literally has 0% chance of surviving (shin tsukimi reference), and also his death cg is so fucking funny they chose the worst angle to draw him in FOR SOME REASON LIKE SAYAKA, CHIHIRO AND JUNKO ARE ALL FROM THE FRONT, FROM MAKOTOS POV, BUT NOOOOOOOOOO TAKA NEEDS TO HAVE SOME FANCY WEIRD ANGLE THAT LOOKS LIKE SHIT JUST SO YOU CAN SEE MAKOTOS JAW DROP OR SOMETHING LIKE ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? (and i guess also him being paralyzed from the death but that does Not get brought up ever so who cares!)
i had a different topic going on, my point is that, as much as i make fun of him, everytime i remember hes not like. at the future foundation or whatever or that Makotos alive and hes not (the naeishi brainrot) my guts twist like WHAT DO YOU MEAN MAKOTO DOESNT EVEN MISS HIM AND DIDNT EVEN CARE WHEN HE DIED what do you mean. he doesnt have a picture of him and mondo framed on his future foundation desk or whatever and occasionally looks at it going I miss my wives Tails, meanwhile the others are like MOVE ON OH MY GOD ITS BEEN YEARS
what do you mean makoto didnt drop to his knees sobbing crying and throwing up when he found his body WHAT DO YOU MEANNNNNNNNNNNNNN IM SO MAD
on one hand im happy hes dead with mondo cuz i CANT see taka living if mondos dead in ANY UNIVERSE LIKE THAT JUST CANT happen mathematically. on the other them both being dead and makoto being alive and not giving a shit abt them makes me wanna fucking implode i Hate this franchise naeishimondo is literally canon and they dont care:"""((((((((((((((((

Reading Makoto Naegi’s Secret File again, there’s one thing about it that I disagree. It says at the end that Makoto getting the HPA invite is zenith of his bad luck because of the despair inducing killing game. But if Makoto didn’t get enrolled to Hope’s Peak than he and Komaru would be dead or in hiding. Junko will still be alive and the killing game will succeed to plunge the world into unfixable despair. Frankly, Makoto and the entire world are very lucky that he was enrolled because only he could have stopped the killing game.
Oh yes, I can completely see your point! However, I can think of reasons why Kodaka included that part about the HPA invitation being a stroke of very, very bad luck, instead.
Perhaps Kodaka wanted to end this little story impactfully by instilling a sense of dread in the back of his reader's minds.
In the story, Makoto experiences a whole day of misfortune from losing a simple game of rock-paper-scissors to getting into a hostage situation.
But by the end, all these unlucky incidents get resolved with the robber arrested and Makoto getting an acceptance letter from a prestigious academy.
Now, remember that throughout most of this story, you're in Makoto's point of view.
After everything he had gone through that day, when he recieves the letter, he gets happy. He sees that letter as a gift for making it through. He says it here - an undeniable reversal of his unluckiness.
Tumblr media
But then, the narrator voice pops up - "Ah, but do you really think that's all? Do you really think this is the end of Makoto's unluckiness? Well, this poor bastard doesn't know what's coming!" - with these lines:
Tumblr media
Personally, I believe this immediate switch of POVs (Makoto and the narrator) in the end makes for a greater impact - a haunting conclusion to the story. Especially with these lines:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, I believe the mention of the acceptance letter being a stroke of bad luck here is fitting!
Then there's another question that dwells on my mind.
Who can actually decide if Makoto's receival of HPA's acceptance letter is lucky or unlucky?
Let's imagine you ask Makoto himself whether he feels lucky or unlucky about his acception now.
Lucky? Because ultimately, he stops the killing game, saves his remaining friends from falling into despair, dismantles Ultimate Despair (since it's mentioned that majority of its members committed suicide after Junko's death), and is hailed as a hero and 'Ultimate Hope' by the world. Many, many people gaze upon him with starry eyes.
Unlucky? Because, eventhough he escapes the killing game with his survivor friends, that trauma and immense guilt lingers on. He has lost several of his friends. He has to bear the guilt of sentencing his classmates to death, lest they all get killed. He has inadvertently caused Komaru's imprisonment (for his motive) and his parents are missing, presumably even dead. He has to face a mountain load of burden that comes with being an 'Ultimate Hope' to people in a despair-ridden world.
The damage has already been done, no matter how good things turn out to be in the end.
Maybe in the eyes of the world, they see Makoto's acceptance into HPA as lucky.
But how does Makoto personally see it?
Maybe lucky. He has ended up saving the world, gaining inseperable friends, and earning great respect.
Maybe unlucky. He has to go through the most painful moments in his life, developing trauma and guilt that might follow him until his death.
Or maybe, he sees it as just is - neither lucky or unlucky. It just . . . happened. It's all just how things are. It's all just how things turn out to be.
Like life itself, you see? Many things happen out of your control - good things and bad things. Life is neutral like that. Maybe you can accept that aspect of life and keep moving forward, striving for change in the future - just like Makoto!

OK, but your idea for DR2 is genuinely really good, and now I kinda want to hear if you have any other ideas for saving people across the Danganronpa series
AH Thank you!! I have no idea how I remembered all that considering how long its been since I played sdr2 ahaha
I think the hardest one to save people in would be thh's killing game, cause like I said in that earlier post, knowing Junko's identity really doesn't give you all that much leverage in stopping the killing game. Unless you can really convince people to ignore the motives entirely (which would be impossible unless you're very charismatic and a leader), I'm not sure there's a good way to stop all the deaths. The only thing that I could imagine would be breaking into the mastermind's room (which IIRC is on the third floor? christ.) and taking her down before either the first motive does its work OR Sakura (as the traitor) takes someone else out for the sake of the game.
I was also thinking last night about what you would do at the beginning of V3's killing game to try and end it, and I think it's tricky in a different way from stopping it at the ch5 mark. While the ch1 time limit might've been a bluff, none of the other characters saw it that way. And then, the keys you could've used in ch5 to end the killing game (the clues found in the mastermind's room and the flashback light making panel) don't have the same implications this early on, pre-Rantaro's death and pre-flashback light.
The best thing I could think of would be to physically stop Rantaro from investigating the library. Either by preventing him from going there in the first place or insisting on going with him so Kaede and Tsumugi's plans can't go off. But I think the former is a much safer idea, because Tsumugi could just kill you as well...
After that, if I'm right that the time limit was a bluff, we'd be in completely new territory, which is SUPER risky in and of itself. Unfortunately part of what convinced the outside world to end danganronpa, I think, was Shuichi and the others' raw pain at what had happened to them. At this point, nobody will have died. Even if you plead to the viewers through Kiibo, I'm not sure that would actually end the game.
I'd love to hear anybody else's ideas!!

I'm back with a bang. Project Fiction - an Irumatsu and Irujnko fic will be finally published in its entirety! First arc is up, at about 50k words and 7 chapters. Read more to see if it's your cup of tea.

Do you hate some things about DR canon? Do you wish the talent system in Hope's Peak was more explored? Then read no further! I'll copy some bullet points from PF's description on AO3 and explain them in more details.
This work has: - Heavy OOC for Iruma and Kaede
PF!Iruma is not lewd, but she's a hothead, a reserve course student, and she also likes basketball. Weird, right? She also has nothing to do with inventions, her true talent is more of an abstract concept in line with your usual 'hope' and 'despair' gimmicks. It allows me to create a story with no killing games, but filled with tension similar to how Death Note is considered a 'shounen' even though it's a detective mystery.
As for Kaede, be warned that she only appears in chapter 8 for the first time. Remember her pre!game line in v3? "I don't have faith in humanity". What if I based her entire character on that and pitted against this Iruma? You can't imagine how heated it gets. - In-depth exploration of how Hope's Peak works, what's a 'talent' and how it impacts the chosen students
Do you know how talents are assigned? How scouts do their work? How exactly Kamukura Izuru was made and what studying on the reserve course is like? I know, and I'll show you in great detail.
- Nods to the canon, while turning the plot of DR1 upside-down.
Junko's game plan stays the same: kill the council, rebel the reserve course, fill the world with despair. With Iruma, however... not all goes as planned. It's not a story about people stuck together until almost all of them die. We go from Hope's Peak to an open world, and you'll see famously neon Tokyo in all its glory.
- Heated gay arguments, a weird online game, absurd talents beyond your average human standards.
While the story goes beyond ships and their dynamics, it has that in spades. I also present to you a certain game by Team DANGAN, and it's not about a pun-making bear torturing students. Imagine Genshin Impact's combat but more tactical, focused on PvP. That -- and much more.
- An abundance of author notes. This one has a lot to say.
I'll be straight with you, I put a shit ton of details into my works. Chekhov's Armoury is a trope I came up with before I realized it existed. I'll give you fanarts, songs, memes. Basically I've never had a lot of readers so I had to get used to creating fan content by myself.
- Typos I am translating this work into English, and while I'm pretty confident in my abilities, I am not perfect. It's kinda hard to know how real people talk when you're not exposed to the language on a daily basis. If anyone wants to be my beta, I'll be honored.
Translating this thing is ungodly hard. Writing it took me 4 years and was even harder. This story means a lot to me, I put my heart and soul into it, and I truly hope someone will enjoy it as much as I do. I also hope someone makes a TV Tropes page for it one day :D This is my only dream as a creator.
Give it a shot -- you won't regret it.
I hope.

That's the thing about Nagito though. Fans keep making the mistake of treating him like some anomaly, and that his views are all something he made up on his own. When one of the main points of his character is to demonstrate just how profoundly fucked up the society in Danganronpa is. A lot of his views are consciously or subconsciously shared by many of the cast, including Hajime and to a lesser extent people like Kyoko and Byakuya. Though if you're going to watch the anime later, I would also strongly recommend seeing his OVA. Even as someone who's not a big fan of DR3, I'd argue it's actually the best written part of it. As it recontextualizes quite a bit about him and adds an extra tragic layer to the ideology he outwardly espouses.
They made us laugh at the silly meme man... But he was onto something.
And by that I mean, spewing the same rhetoric as most others in this universe.
Your right though the more you think about it, it's not just him.
It's something to remember the Remnants carry a lot of that ideology not because it's Junko's ideology.
But because it's what Hope's Peak proudly trumpets to the world.
Hence a lot of its students holding that view.
And why Kirigiri, the headmasters daughter turns to that ideology the moment she remembers her talent.
Byakuya in general sees himself above everyone else, this is just an extension of that.
Nagito is just the most outwardly vocal about it without much of a filter to care.
Especially with his own complex feelings for his talent.
Hell it's why Hajime ended up the way he did.
Because he internalised it so much.
Sure is something, definitely keeping an eye out for it.
Also thanks, I'll be sure to look into it and check it out 👍🏼

Okay so more tag duel posting of cool things I've noticed on my first playthrough (as someone who chose Asuka as their duel partner)
Tag Duel 2 Spoilers ahead!!!
If not paired with the player, the other characters will pair themselves up as so (not sure about Asuka + Kenzan has Not Been Spotted Yet) (<- not sure if partners can change or randomise)
- Judai will partner up O'Brien. I've found them hanging outside the Osiris dorms in the morning, In the locker room next to the store at noon and in the dueling arena at night.
- Manjoume oddly enough partners up with Johan. I've found them in the classroom at night.
- Sho and Rei partner up. I've found them in the forest and on the volcano (if I'm remembering right, it was early game)
- I found Edo with Fubuki. Which is an interesting concept as well as a fun nod to the manga (maybe), Fubuki's win animation is that little thing they do when they poses, shake their tush and thumbs up. (The 10join classic) They're also found in the classroom at night.
- Kenzan has Not Been Found. He's missing in action.
- Jim partners up with Junko but I have a feeling it would have been Asuka had I not chosen her. They hang out at the harbour at night.
-Amon (lol) partners up with Napoleon (lol) because it seems a little obvious (lol) he couldn't find anyone to partner up with him (L bozo) he's having a baby tantrum in the card shop.
Other facts to note when considering when writing your ygo fanfiction (whether it be Asuka trivia or just map trivia)
Asuka likes grapes and steak sandwiches. She does not like gyoza or fermented cheese. Like. Girlie HATES gyoza and fermented cheese.
Asuka talks about Fubuki like he's still dead. Lmao. This can be written off as copy paste dialogue/win-lose quotes from TD1 but I think it's interesting to consider about what it says about their relationship.
Asuka has other reactions to areas around school at different times (which I'm assuming is the same for every character). One is the aforementioned harbour dialogue and the other, which happens during morning or noon, is Asuka hoping that nobody drew the golden eggwich yet.
In the first morning, Asuka chides you for sleeping in and gets angry at you for keeping her out too late, claiming its the girls curfew and she doesn't like staying out too late. This somewhat suggests Asuka is an early to bed early to rise sort of person as at least Judai and Edo don't comment on it.
Similarly if you try and skip class, Asuka will get angry at you and drag you to class anyway (honor student queen).
The abandoned dorm is easily one of the biggest maps in the game. Entering it plays some corpse party ass music. It's not scary but it is almost hilarious how Konami put their whole konamusi into the abandoned dorm while not even letting you enter the Yellow, Blue or Girl's dorm. (Which was what interested me the most since I was curious if there were rooms for each character.)
That being said, you can enter every room in Osiris including Manjoune's old room.
Oh right. Johan also confirms he's been living in the Red dorm in a stray piece of dialogue about how Ruby needs to lead him back to the Red dorm at night. This means he's probably staying with Judai and Manjoume (since at this point in time Manjoume was forcefully evicted out his own room by Rei.) Food for thought.

If you want to make propaganda you can view the submissions here but please know the second tab which also contains the reasonings submitted has like every TW so be prepared!
Right now the rules of the next section of the tournament are as followed
You WILL be civil to the shippers of the ship you think is worse, no I do not CARE if it's abuse or incest or the most problematic thing in the world, we will be CIVILIZED. If I catch you spewing toxic shit about how all shippers of a ship are horrible terrible people who need to die you WILL be blocked. We are not here for a guilt trip! We are here to have fun being dramatic! Small PLAYFUL pokes are fine, but everyone should have fun even the shippers of the ship you think is worse.
I shouldn't have to specify but be like, actually decent about what you say, I had a person in the forms wishing rape on a character and like bro take that up with your ao3 search results not me or anyone else here. So like, yeah the characters are just characters, but theres a difference between edge and potentially being intensely triggering and uncomfortable for literally no reason.
If you want to make propaganda I advise either light hearted gags at a ships expense,
Example of a light hearted gag would be like a picture of Junko sitting on Mikan kneeling into a bench and a caption like "would you really not vote for this?" thats hilarious and doesn't target actual people.
Or you draw art for the ship that gives you less despair, branch out a bit. Never drawn I dunno Ryoma x Kirumi before but you think its less toxic then uhh Hajime x Mikan? Well here's your chance to try drawing some Ryoma x Kirumi! Make propaganda for the ship you want people to NOT vote for!
I can't enforce this but the tag you want to use for anything you create for this should be "#Despair Ship" this is so people can filter it out more easily. I'm here to cause fun, not make people frustrated because their tag got overrun.
Again I also can't enforce this but remember the point isn't to find the ship that's the most abusive, or the most toxic, its to find the ship that gets the most despair. For instance there are very few ships on the list I find personally more despairing then kokichi and shuichi, and that's because it's a lot harder to stumble on some of the more kneejerk offensive ships compared to how I cannot escape kokichi and shuichi making out no matter how hard i try. Like I said I can't enforce this but if you're wondering why a ship you think is more inherently toxic is losing, this is probably the reason why.
I am also a single person, while I have a friend who is here on the sidelines cheering me on, I hand made the bracket and everything else about this. If the brackets aren't perfectly balanced or a ship you don't like didn't make the cut, remember that I am just a single person.
Voter fraud is allowed and encouraged I'm not a coward this is the voting fraud website if you're determined to make a thousand sock puppet accounts just to make sure Celeste x Togami is the winner then that's the biggest possible powermove and I respect it. Also I guess I accept bribes now, because I think it's funny.
Thank you for all the support I've gotten! While rather small scale compared to other polls, the fact I've got people sending asks and following means a lot to me. Even if I barely get any interaction from here out, I still had fun and am happy to have done this. Voting will either open Saturday or Sunday but if I forget and it's a day or too late then feel free to shake me in the asks by short term memory is Not Good
