there are going to be global demonstrations for Palestine on march 2nd, this site has more info

here's what's written on the front page:

"On March 2, millions across the world will march for Gaza! The Israeli government is planning to have a full-scale invasion of Rafah one week later, on March 9, one day before the start of Ramadan. Today, the United States vetoed a UN resolution that insisted that Israel immediately cease its mass killing spree in Gaza.

Now is the time to act! People around the world are going into the streets in cities and towns, including in the United States, as part of the global day of protest on Saturday, March 2.

letstalkpalestine has set up a LinkTree that prioritizes different fundraisers for people in Gaza and rotates out fundraisers once campaigns are complete. There are so many worthy causes worth donating to and it can be difficult to keep track of them all, so this is a great resource.

Operation Olive Branch has created a Google Drive of different GoFundMe campaigns to support. All campaigns have been vetted. They're also encouraging people to go to the social media pages of family members responsible for the different campaigns and amplify their voices, which is an extremely important step that I've found tends to be left out. Donating is great, but doing everything we can to boost Gazans' stories and spread awareness is crucial.

in light of israel's looming invasion on rafah, south africa implored the icj to call for the protection of palestinians with new preliminary orders. the icj denied this request, insisting that its january orders would be sufficient enough in ensuring the safety of people residing in rafah.

we have all seen how israel responded to the icj verdict earlier this month. they have all but intensified their attacks on palestinians, their favorite of whom seem to be children. this will end in a bloodbath. palestinians, already malnourished and living in literal tents, will be bombarded, they will be shot, they will be slaughtered. and when i say palestinians, a lot of them are actual toddlers. the videos coming out of this are proof enough.

at this point, it has been made amply clear that palestinians will never experience safety in their own homeland. a lot of the families in gaza are trying to raise funds to get out of it, because there's nowhere left to go.

there is nowhere left to go. if these people don't get the funds necessary to escape, they will die.

it's vital that you go to operation olive branch's spreadsheet, choose a family that resonates with you, and donate as much as you can to their gofundme. every last dollar counts. one dollar could be the difference between life and death for a family. please don't fall victim to the bystander effect. your contribution counts, however little it may be. and whether you're able to donate or not, spread this to as many people as you can. each second we stay silent is a second an entire family is brutally massacred.

HI hello sorry to be a big ole bother but i feel the need to say you are SO RIGHT about chapter 3. also i've never seen anyone else say that alter ego fucked with taka. nobody else seems to see it that way bc 'oh ishida is so funny and not at all kinda depressing taka had to fucking MAKE himself a friend since no one was really there for him!'

celeste is a liar, sure--but JESUS is that one hell of a jump for her to have lied about. why did she lie about that specifically. why didn't she just say 'oh my, kiyotaka isn't himself lately...he's so hostile, i worry he'll kill someone soon'. (i know i'm biased as someone who writes taka and celeste as twins and therefore rewrites chapter three but. jesus)

why did hifumi go from 'aw he's a lil cringe but overall well meaning and a respecter of women!' to. to. 'haha guys he's an otaku, you get it? haha he. he did questionable things to alter ego. haha that's so funny right guys'.

makoto literally makes an internal comment about how monokuma messing with a grieving taka is really messed up... which. is funny. given. he doesn't make any real effort to. be there for him?

there's this constant feeling of no...genuine remorse. everyone feels like a parody of themselves.

it also makes hina having got comfort and reassurance later on all the more bitter. the very same people who watched as taka starved himself and went into this mental breakdown, watched as he bawled his eyes out as his friend was executed, suddenly offer their condolences to a girl who tried to get them all killed. i feel bad for hina too, but... come on.

okay i'm sorry for the lengthy ask but i wanted so badly to share how much i agree with your take about ch3.

YOURE LITERALLY SO FUCKING RIGHT this chapter butchered everyone and the only "well written" (im like 99.9% sure the writers didnt intent to write taka being psychotic and just made it out as some improvement on him because Danganronpa Writers) character gets treated like shit and then just dies. lol. lmao.

also that point abt hina is so right, i felt bad for her too but like COME ON. everyone going like Omg hina dw we get it we're sorry, meanwhile taka is doing cartwheels in his grave.

not to mention when she only cried cuz hifumi died like Girl WHYYY WHAT DID HE DO TO YOU.

i genuinely feel like the writers didnt like taka Like not to put a tin foil hat on but its like they all just projected the nerdy annoying morals committee president kid in their class they had in high school and were like Lets just fuck this guy up lmfao

i experience symptoms of psychosis every time i have to think about danganronpa 1 chapter 3 i genuinely couldnt possibly hate a chapter in a video game more. wym my gothic lolita queen and wife celestia does something rlly weird? wym makoto didnt went through the 5 stages of grief through out the whole chapter after his boyfriend and wife taka died? wym alter ego acts like a little shit and triggers taka's psychosis? Operation Olive Branch is a continuously updating spreadsheet of Palestinian escape funds where progress towards their goals is being tracked. As of right now, there are over 100 funds listed there.

Any amount of money can make a difference. With their recent decision to bomb Rafah, the only remaining “safe” territory in Gaza, Israel has forced Palestinians into a corner by giving them nowhere else to go. As a rule of thumb, don't reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they've been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.

It's disgusting this is what we're dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.

Accounts don't just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
