Hello request for Ivar here ❤️ could you maybe write something about him and his best ( female) friend, who is a really good shield maiden?
Maybe they train together? Maybe they drink together after a good fight?
Thanks ❤️
You and Beer
Ivar the Boneless x fem!reader (platonic)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Your shared bond with Ivar left you invincible, allowing you to grow into a skilled shield maiden. Unfortunately, disrespectful men still strain your mind a little. In these times you seek comfort in your best friend Ivar. Today's evening you come with a little beer and teases, trying to cheer Ivar and you up.
Note: This request was a lovely change in writing! I rarely get platonic requests which is kinda sad. Thank you very much, I hope you like it! 🤎
Warnings: uncomfortable encounter with men, consumption of alcohol

The day gradually transitioned into evening, painting the sky with warm orange hues as a gentle chill swept through the bustling streets of Kattegat. Your daily routine had just drawn to a close – a rhythm filled with tasks that ranged from finishing chores to assisting your family and engaging in training.
°°°
You were the daughter of a skilled warrior, a man held in high regard among the ranks of the Viking soldiers. Your father had always treated you with the utmost respect, love and care, and had embraced your unique aspiration to become the most celebrated shield maiden.
As you grew up you idolized the women who where wielding their iron swords. Your admiration extended to the most legendary of these heroines, including the formidable Lagertha. Thankfully, your brothers had often taken you along on their hunting expeditions, providing you with invaluable knowledge in the arts of stealth and combat. These experiences had been essential in shaping you into the warrior you aspired to become. You were more than grateful for your family’s support, as it wasn’t expected and there were girls who could only become wives who bore children. Your father, who held a deep love for you, had first harbored concerns about your confronting the brutal realities of war.
After all, the realm of warfare included not just the skill of swordsmanship, but also the grim elements of bloodshed, hatred, suffering, and the aftermath of the fallen. The sight of lifeless bodies left a mark on your soul, at times causing you to contemplate the worthiness of your path. While you were inherently honest, witnessing the gruesome aftermath of battle often left you with a heavy heart. Time by time you managed to handle these emotions and you had proven to be mentally strong enough to your father.
Shortly after he had acknowledged your willpower, he had given you your first shield and sword. During these trying times, your childhood friend, Ivar, had been your steadfast companion. At first your relationship started with Hvitserk, who had invited you to their training due to your father’s request. Then you began to overpower even some of the brothers since you were quick witted, fast and flexible. Surely, your sword wasn’t as big and heavy but the lightweight of your weapon allowed you to be even deadlier.
Your prowess with a blade served as a wellspring of inspiration for Ivar, urging him to exceed your accomplishments. The two of you constantly challenged each other, engaging in fierce battles, hurling axes through the air, and occasionally resorting to spirited, even raucous, confrontations. Nevertheless your rivalry had developed into a memorable friendship you adored and cherished.
He was your drinking buddy, your best advisor and the only one you truly trusted. Ivar wasn’t afraid to spill the honest truth whenever you needed a second opinion, and he never talked behind your back. Besides his usual anger issues you loved him dearly, as he was your best friend. You knew his every move, you even understood how his mind worked, giving you a major advantage compared to others.
°°°
However, on this particular day, Ivar was absent from your training sessions. Your focus had been on honing your strength, leading you to practice with your father. These moments were especially precious to you, as your father often found himself engrossed in the demands of his responsibilities. The training session left you thoroughly exhausted, but you continued your routine, proceeding to attend to your household duties and gather the vegetables your mother had requested. Thus far, your day had unfolded in a relatively relaxing way.
That was until you entered the big residence where the villagers gathered to spill their heads full with alcohol. This was a place you had often enjoyed spending your time, particularly under the influence of alcohol, engaged in spirited discussions with your dear friend, Ivar. Yet, tonight, a different aura hung in the air, brought about by the presence of unfamiliar faces who had apparently discovered your hidden beauty.
One of these strangers took it upon himself to initiate contact, offering you a flattery that was poorly masked by the reek of alcohol and sweat that clung to him. The audacity of their approach unsettled you, as the combination of unfamiliar faces and unpleasant odors did not sit well with you.
“Hello, beautiful. I didn’t expect such a rare gem to reside in this town,” one of them greeted you, his words laced with false charm.
You raised your eyebrow, answering coldly, “Not beautiful and not a rare gem. Get over yourselves.”
Unfortunately, these men were not quick to accept your rejection. In the fashion typical of their kind, they inched closer, attempting to persuade you to follow them. However, your head remained held high, and there was not a trace of fear on your face, only a resolute anger that etched your delicate features.
“You don’t want to ruin our evening, do you?” the other one tried to pressure you, resorting to guilt-tripping, though your lack of fear remained.
Without hesitation, you swiftly turned and walked away, leaving the two men behind. You chose not to engage further with them, for you were uncertain of their status, whether they were mere guests or held some importance in the community. Well, important or not - they should’ve learned some respect for women.
As you continued your evening, watching the sun set behind the horizon, you couldn't help but reflect on the discomfort that often accompanied interactions with such men. It left you with a lingering sense of unease, as if you were tainted by their crude remarks and behavior. Their filth just crossed your lines, staining your mind with the smell and comments. Although these two back in the hall were one of the friendlier ones, you still remained irritated.
Strolling through the familiar streets, your thoughts focused on the events of the evening, and your frustration hung heavy in the air. It was then that you happened upon Ivar, who sat alone on the shore, his gaze fixed on the dark waters. In your downed mood, you decided to gift him some company. You grabbed a couple of beers before heading over to where he sat.
“You want some?” you offered, your voice lightening as you approached him.
Ivar turned to you, a quick smile spreading across his lips. "You better expect me to," he replied, his tone filled with anticipation.
With a nod, you settled down beside him, handing him one of the beverages. You leaned back, letting out a sigh of frustration.
“What’s up? You look like a dead one,” Ivar remarked, his perceptive gaze studying your expression closely.
“Hmm, nothing. Just disgusting men, as the usual,” you replied, sipping your beer and allowing the warmth of the alcohol to wash over you. “And what about you? You’re sitting here all alone like an old man.”
Ivar averted his gaze, focusing on the sea, basking in the beauty of the night. He had always cherished the serenity of the night, where the moon's gentle light caressed the contours of the landscape, and the water mirrored its cool radiance, shimmering against the shore.
“The same old story for me as well," he admitted. "My brothers find great amusement in mocking me and provoking me."
You couldn't help but chuckle softly, taking another sip from your beer.
“You really should work on those anger issues, Ivar,” you suggested in a jokingly way, putting your hand on his broad shoulder.
He took it with humor and laughed as well, “Says you, who can't deal with some reeking scoundrels," he teased, silently appreciating your company.
“You're not much better," you retorted, finishing your beer and gazing up at the night sky.
Ivar followed, emptying his own drink. "Care to fetch some more, y/n? I feel like going all out tonight," he proposed, turning his attention back to you.
You readily agreed, rising to your feet. "Just don't make me carry you home again, you're a heavy burden," you commented, before the two of you headed to the next tavern, where you would while away the rest of the night in each other's company.
Ivar and you found solace in the company of each other, the world's burdens momentarily lifted by the bond you shared. Those moments that made the challenges of your days bearable. The night belonged to you and Ivar, and the burdens of the day faded into obscurity as you lost yourselves in laughter, gossip, and the simple pleasure of each other's trust.

Something that Fear and Hunger 1 does really well is that the game puts you in situations where the more knowledge you gain about the game and the better your understanding of its systems, the more making what would normally be reprehensible actions will become the norm for you. And this starts from even before you get into the game proper; the first time you go through the character backstories, you'll have no idea what skills each choice gives you, so you'll likely just choose what seems like the best (most moral) option. Try to live cleanly as the Mercenary, choose not to kill your twin sister after she spares your life in a duel as the Dark Priest, and choose to go hungry instead of giving in to the temptation to eat the remains of your comrades as the Outlander. And while the skills you get from trying to be moral may not be bad per say, it won't take that many attempts before you get curious and end up finding out just how much more valuable the alternatives are. Lockpicking for the Mercenary saves vital resources like keys and red vials, and giving in to your hunger and committing cannibalism in the Outlander's backstory gives you Devour, allowing you to sate your hunger with enemy corpses - a skill that while disturbing and morally reprehensible in concept is invaluable for reasons that are literally in the game title. The Dark Priest is probably the most compelling case; choosing to kill your sister starts you with the Necromancy spell, allowing you to turn human corpses into allies. Not only does this give you access to early party members who just by existing means less attacks will be directed at you, but your undead allies have higher base stats than you and don't require any food. And while you can still get the Necromancy spell later if you don't start with it, Dark Priest is easily the most vulnerable of the playable characters at the start, having low stats in literally every category. He's frail and weak and without any allies he has no real options early on if he's unlucky enough to get into combat other than to try to escape. Yes, starting without Necromancy is doable, but having it early just makes things so much easier! And hey, regardless of if you choose to kill or spare her, you never actually see his sister in-game, so does it really matter? Well that's up to, isn't it? You'll just have to decide if you're okay with the knowledge that your first successful Dark Priest Hard Mode S Ending may be one in which your character canonically killed his sister in cold blood and then took satisfaction in puppeting her lifeless corpse.

Part 13 | Masterlist | Part 15
Tumblr media
"Attack."
Those were the last words your brain could register before your world turned into a complete blur.
It was chaotic as all the people around you immediately began scrambling about in an effort to shield you. Your trembling eyes remained locked with Minho's crazed ones as he took a step back in amusement to enjoy the show.
Seungmin stood helplessly beside him for a moment before running off somewhere quickly.
As the super zombie lurched forward, its grotesque features twisted into a malevolent grin, the group of determined survivors sprang into action. Each member had their own unique skills and weapons, and they were about to put them to the ultimate test against this formidable adversary.
You watch as your boyfriend sends his best friend a quick nod before getting into a stance ready to fight, signalling for the taller male to get you someplace safe.
Without hesitation, Seonghwa tightened his grasp on your hand and guided you swiftly into one of the many wardrobes scattered throughout the furniture store. Inside, the confined space offered a semblance of shelter from the impending chaos.
"Hwa, shouldn't we help?" He shook his head, "It's Joong's orders. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is to stay out of their way."
Meanwhile, the gang leader and the captain exchanged a wordless yet resolute glance.
In this dire moment, they put aside any lingering tensions and understood that their shared goal was to protect you and eliminate the zombie threatening your lives. It was a moment of unity in the face of overwhelming adversity.
Jeongin handed Chan some of the weapons in his hands as they all moved into the store to help the captain's friends. Mingi, with his axe, and Wooyoung, with his shovel, were kept busy trying to keep the zombie from moving any closer to where you were hiding.
With his strong leadership skills, Hongjoong quickly assessed the situation. He realised that direct combat with this monstrous creature might not be the best approach.
Instead, he grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher, aiming to use it as a makeshift smoke screen. He knew that obscuring the super zombie's vision would give his boys an advantage. With a swift pull of the pin and a squeeze of the handle, a thick cloud of white smoke filled the area, providing some much-needed cover.
Yeosang quickly moved in to pull Mingi and Wooyoung back into safety while the zombie was momentarily discombobulated.
As the smoke billowed around them, Yunho's keen senses kicked in. He had always been the agile one in the group, and now he used that agility to his advantage. Darting in and out of the smoke, he delivered quick, precise strikes to the creature's limbs, attempting to cripple it and slow its advance. His skills proved invaluable in this high-stakes battle.
Jongho had always been the brute force of the team, and he knew that sometimes sheer strength was the answer. With a roar, he charged at the zombie, swinging a newly obtained heavy metal pipe like a battering ram. His goal was to disorient the creature, knocking it off balance and giving his teammates an opening to strike.
With their skills being resourcefulness, Jeongin used his knowledge of the environment to set up makeshift traps, hoping to ensnare the zombie. Meanwhile, Jisung, armed with a crossbow, aimed for precision shots at critical points on the creature's body, trying to disable it bit by bit.
Feeling as though this all happened because of him, Bang Chan felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. He knew that he needed to protect you and the rest of the group at all costs.
With a cool head, he observed the chaos unfolding around him. Realising that brute force might not be enough, he started to formulate a plan. Using his tactical skills, he directed his members and some of Hongjoong's boys to coordinate their attacks, focusing on exploiting the super zombie's weaknesses.
Despite the overwhelming odds and the terror of facing such a monstrous opponent, the guys fought with unwavering determination and bravery.
They relied on each other's strengths and their own resourcefulness to fend off the super zombie. Whether it was using clever traps, unconventional weapons, or strategic teamwork, they were determined to survive this desperate battle and protect their loved ones.
Amidst the ongoing battle within the furniture store, Seungmin rushed off on a swift mission to fetch Changbin, Hyunjin and Felix.
Despite their typically distant relationships, the urgency of the situation compelled the scientist to believe that the remaining gang members could unite against Minho's dangerous scheme.
Slightly out of breath, he caught the three lounging in a dessert cafe.
Felix furrowed his brow upon seeing the scientist bent over, his hands propped on his knees, trying to catch his breath before stumbling into the cafe where they were enjoying some sweets before heading to rest for the night.
"Seungmin? What are you doing outside of your lab?" Hyunjin asks.
Okay, ouch. Way to make me sound lifeless.
The scientist resists the urge to roll his eyes, "No time to explain, there's an emergency! Minho hyung just released my latest prototype inside the mall. Chan hyung, Jisung and Jeongin are trying to fight it off with the new residents now. You need to come with me!"
Changbin shot up from his seat in shock, "What the f- why in the world would he do that?! Even regular testings are conducted at the loading bay, who in their right mind would think to release any of your experiments in here?"
Felix's face darkened, "It's because of her, isn't it?"
Seungmin nodded, "I think so, Minho hyung won't tell me anything but I think he got into a fight with Chan hyung because of her."
Hyunjin immediately moves to grab onto anything that could be used as a weapon around the area, sighing heavily, "I get that he's mad but isn't this a little much? Does he realise he's jeopardising everything we've worked so hard to build just because of his little tantrum?"
Changbin and Felix silently agreed with the tallest among them, quickly moving to do the same by grabbing whatever they could use to fight.
On the inside, Felix was fuming. Nothing good ever comes with your group, he could feel it since the moment he met Jongho. Things had been going so well for the gang and now, look at them. At the brink of falling apart all because of you.
But what he hated most was the fact that you'd reminded him too much of his late elder sister. All throughout dinner, he absolutely despised the way his heart squeezed painfully at the sight of you taking care of your friends. He hated the yearning to be on the receiving end of your affections like them.
Deep within, he longed for the comfort and care he once knew, but he understood that his role as a gang member left no room for such sentiments.
While Felix was upset with you and your friends for causing so much trouble since your entrance, Changbin and Hyunjin were more fed up with Minho's selfish behaviour.
The right-hand man may just be taking their motto a little too seriously since he clearly does not care for the consequences or aftermath of his own actions, and what it could potentially do to their gang and its members.
As they followed Seungmin to the furniture store, their hearts began to pound with anxiety. They were always the ones releasing their super zombies on victims, never the ones on the receiving end of such a terrifying encounter.
For once, the boys believed they finally understood how those poor survivors must have felt before meeting their tragic ends.
They still struggled to grasp the idea of one of their super zombies running free within District 9. And not just any other super zombie, it had to be the one they knew least about too. The second-in-command must have truly lost his mind to even consider pulling such a reckless stun.
Their hearts plummeted upon reaching the scene, the zombie was nothing like what they'd seen before. Seungmin had undoubtedly outdone himself with this creation, managing to strike terror even into the hearts of seasoned gang members such as themselves.
But what truly made their skin crawl was the twisted delight dancing in Minho's eyes. He watched, almost gleefully, as not just the new residents but also Chan, Jisung, and Jeongin fought for their lives.
Thanks to that, the boys begin to question their loyalty to Minho and his ruthless ways.
Lee Minho is the very embodiment of a deranged psychopath.
Amidst the tumultuous battle within the furniture store, chaos reigned as Hongjoong and Bang Chan tried their best to rally their members against the monstrous super zombie.
The abomination with enhanced strength, agility and chilling intelligence obediently followed Minho's commands, making it a formidable enemy.
The fight was relentless, with members from both sides clashing in desperate and deadly skirmishes.
All the while, Hongjoong and Chan kept a close eye on you, their protective instincts burning bright. You were hidden away in one of the wardrobes, your trembling form sheltered by Seonghwa's strong presence.
Sensing your immense fear, he pressed a kiss onto the back of your hand, "Hey, hey, look at me. I'm here."
Your heart fluttered at his actions, but before you could respond, your attention was suddenly drawn by the cries of pain. You turned to witness two figures grappling with their lower bodies trapped beneath a toppled cupboard.
Jeongin and Wooyoung had gotten hurt during the brutal clash with the super zombie. Your heart lurched in your chest, and you immediately moved to push the wardrobe door open, wanting desperately to help them, but your friend stopped you abruptly.
"No! What are you doing?" Seonghwa's steely determination prevented you from endangering yourself, "Hwa, they're hurt! I must help them," He shook his head firmly, "You will do no such thing. The moment you go out there, you're dead meat. You do realise you're the target, right?"
Realisation dawned on you, he was right.
"Stay here, I'll go," Your eyes widened in panic, "No, Hwa-" With a glare, he effectively shut you up, "Please, listen to me. I can't lose you, alright? Don't make this any harder than it has to be."
With reluctance, you obeyed his command and stayed hidden. You watched anxiously as Seonghwa, ignoring the pain in his abdomen, did his best to lift the cupboard in order to free the two boys whose legs were wedged underneath.
Then, disaster struck.
"Hyung, behind you!" You hear Wooyoung screeching loudly in fear.
The super zombie nearly reached Seonghwa, who was defending the injured Jeongin and Wooyoung. Panic coursed through you and without thinking, you rushed out of the wardrobe to help.
"No, Seonghwa!" Your desperate cry rang through the air, your voice instantly alerting Hongjoong. His heart plummeted as he realised you were no longer safely hidden. His eyes widened in terror as he spotted the charging super zombie, which was dangerously close to his best friend.
Your boyfriend reacted instantly, his feet propelling him towards you. Despite his immediate instinct to rush to your aid, the vast distance between you felt insurmountable. You were on the far end of the store, and it was tearing him apart that he most likely wouldn't reach you in time.
As you were reaching the three, Hongjoong was relieved to see that Chan had spotted you as he quickly assessed the situation.
Without hesitation, the gang leader moved to intercept the zombie's lethal charge. This was his chance to make up for everything he's done. If he has to die just to keep you safe then so be it, he would be more than willing to do so.
Anything for your safety and happiness.
Anything.
Squeezing your eyes shut, you threw your arms around Seonghwa from behind without hesitation as he attempted to shield Jeongin and Wooyoung, who were still stuck. He panics when he realised you were trying to protect him and immediately moved to pull you into his hold instead, but you refused to budge.
At that very moment, Jisung, sensing the imminent danger, leapt in between Chan and the super zombie. A gut-wrenching sacrifice unfolded before your eyes. Jisung bore the brunt of the zombie's attack, his brave act saving all your lives.
He staggered backwards and clutched his neck where the creature had taken a huge chunk off with its teeth, blood flowing out of the wound uncontrollably.
The creature's intentions loomed ominously but before it could further harm the poor boy, Mingi and Jongho finally emerged from behind to hold it back by its arms. The two forcefully pulled it away with gritted teeth while trying to avoid getting bitten.
Time seemed to slow down as Chan witnessed Jisung sacrifice his own life. He rushed forward, cradling the fallen gang member in his arms, gently laying him on the ground.
Jisung, of all people, had laid down his life to protect his leader.
Jisung, who had been stuck in detention for someone else's mistake, an injustice that Chan had recklessly ignored.
Jisung, on the brink of liberation, had been so close to fleeing District 9 and Stray Kids, so close to being free from Chan's grasp.
Now, he lay there, gradually losing his life to the relentless blood loss. What made it even more unbearable was that it was all because of Chan. He would never be able to forgive himself for this.
Meanwhile, Hongjoong and Yunho quickly swooped in to assist you and Seonghwa in lifting the cupboard off of the two boys, pulling them onto their feet.
Once free, Jeongin wailed loudly and stumbled towards Jisung, who was now lying weakly in Chan's arms, "Jisung hyung!"
"Chan hyung, I'm sorry for trying to leave without bidding you a proper goodbye. I've been a bad comrade." Jisung whispered an apology, his words making the leader feel guilt he'd never felt for any of his members before.
The gang leader shook his head furiously, tears streaming down his face, "You have nothing to apologise for. Why did you even save me, you idiot? God, you could've left with them. I didn't deserve it after how I've neglected you for so long! If anything, I've been a terrible leader."
Jisung offered a faint smile, "It's never too late to change, hyung. Perhaps you can learn to be a better leader and person now." Chan nodded tearfully, acknowledging the futility of the situation.
"And Jeongin-ah, I hope you'll be able to live the life that you want after this. You'll take care of him, noona, won't you?" You wiped away your tears, nodding, "Of course! Don't worry, Jisung."
Even though you had only just met Jisung moments ago, you could tell he was a decent person. You'd heard a little bit about him from Jongho before, you couldn't believe he was leaving so soon already.
Just like that, his life slipped away as the battle raged on around you.
You instinctively drew Jeongin closer into your arms as he sobbed miserably, his tears soaking into the fabric of your clothing, while Chan remained rooted in his spot, numbly swaying Jisung's lifeless form back and forth.
"Umm... guys? A little help here?"
Mingi's urgent yell pierced the sorrow-laden air, commanding the immediate attention of your friends.
Seonghwa and Wooyoung stood steadfastly by your side, providing silent support. Hongjoong, Yunho and Yeosang immediately went to assist the other two in their attempt to subdue the creature that was still thrashing wildly in their hold.
It was at that moment that Seungmin, Changbin, Hyunjin and Felix arrived to help the group, their presence momentarily turning the tide of battle. Even as they noticed Jisung's lifeless form in Chan's embrace, there was no time for mourning. If anything, the anger they felt was enough to fuel their determination to get rid of this monster.
Seeing Mingi and Jongho begin to grow tired, Changbin and Hyunjin take over the task of restraining the super zombie. Seungmin helped Felix load the shotgun handed to them by Yunho.
The scientist shook his head at the sight of his creation, still going strong despite all the apparent damages inflicted by your friends earlier. He didn't know if he should be feeling proud or ashamed of the abomination he'd produced.
With a heavy sigh, Seungmin nodded, his voice carrying a note of finality, "Finish it off, Felix."
A loud bang sounded across the store, and the creature fell limp. Together with Hongjoong's group, they finally managed to defeat the super zombie.
Relief surged through you like a tidal wave as you watched them drop the motionless zombie onto the ground.
Oh, thank god. Finally.
As the chaos of battle subsided and the frantic adrenaline began to ebb away, Chan found himself gripped by an overwhelming sensation of guilt. It was a heavy, gnawing feeling that settled deep within his chest and it was relentless.
He sat amidst the debris-strewn battlefield, his eyes fixed on Jisung's lifeless form cradled in his arms. The life that had once animated the boy was now extinguished and it was a direct consequence of Jisung's act of selflessness, sacrificing himself to save Chan.
Chan's mind replayed the events leading up to this tragic moment. He couldn't escape the stark realisation that he had been a poor leader, one who had allowed the bonds of camaraderie to wither and neglect to take root.
Jisung's face, now forever frozen in stillness, haunted Chan.
The same Jisung who had stood by his side through thick and thin, through countless trials and tribulations, had been pushed to the point of sacrificing himself for the very leader who had often neglected him.
The guilt weighed heavily on Chan's conscience.
He couldn't help but recall the times when he had dismissed Jisung's contributions, failed to acknowledge his sacrifices or simply taken his unwavering loyalty for granted. It was a painful introspection, and he felt a profound sorrow for not recognising Jisung's worth until it was too late.
As the leader clung to Jisung's lifeless body, he whispered apologies, his voice choked with remorse. He wished he could turn back time, rewrite the story and be the leader that Jisung truly deserved. But all he had now were the haunting echoes of his past neglect, mingling with the devastating reality of the present loss.
As the dust began to settle, the group slowly converged around Jisung's lifeless body. Grief and shock hung heavy in the air and for a moment, the one responsible for this gruesome act faded into the background.
With no one noticing, the gang's right-hand man, seethed with simmering fury. Betrayal coursed through him like a venomous river.
How dare his own gang members side with you, the outsiders? Even Seungmin, whom he had believed to be his loyal follower, had brought reinforcements to ruin his sinister plans.
It wasn't Jisung's sacrifice that particularly irked him; in some twisted way, it seemed like a small price to pay for his revenge. But things certainly would have been much more interesting if it had been you or your friends dying instead.
What truly infuriated him was the gang's audacity to stop their very own super zombie. They had defied his will, and Minho's control over the situation was slipping.
In his mounting rage and desperation, Minho drew his dagger, his eyes gleaming with madness. He was consumed by a burning desire to crush all opposition, convinced that he was the only one capable of executing his dark ambitions.
I swear to god, you can't rely on anyone to finish the job. I have to do everything myself around here.
As the group mourned Jisung's tragic fate, Minho saw an opportunity. In the midst of their grief, he stealthily navigated the chaos, drawing closer to you, who stood isolated from the group.
Ah yes, at least luck is still on my side.
His relentless pursuit led him to your side and in a swift, sinister move, Minho encircled your shoulders from behind, silencing your cry with a firm grip on your mouth. The cold, deadly edge of his dagger pressed menacingly against your fragile skin.
A small gasp escaped you, alerting the others to the unfolding hostage situation. They held their collective breath, inching cautiously closer, their hearts pounding in their chests.
"You didn't really think it was over now, did you?" Minho taunted, a malicious grin etching across his face as he threatened to extinguish your life, "Congratulations, you got rid of the zombie. But don't tell me you thought I was going to stop just because of that. I mean, I guess I'll just have to kill her myself then."
Time hung suspended as Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Chan and your friends stood paralysed, caught in the tense and perilous standoff before them. You see your boyfriend and childhood friend exchanged worried glances as they stood a few paces away from Minho.
"Hold on, Minho," Hongjoong began, his voice steady and laced with concern, "This doesn't have to go any further. Let's talk about this."
Chan nodded, his eyes locked onto Minho's, "Yeah, man. We can work this out. Just let her go."
Minho's eyes darted between the two leaders, a malicious grin still playing on his lips, "Talk? Work it out?" He laughed bitterly, "You both should've thought about that before you ruined everything."
Chan's voice remained calm, despite the tension in the air, "Look, Minho, I know you're upset about work being put on hold for a bit, but there's a better way to handle it. Violence won't solve anything."
Hongjoong chimed in, "Besides, we'll be out of your hair real soon just like you'd wanted. Just lower the weapon and things can go back to the way it was before we came along."
Minho hesitated for a moment, his grip on you trembling. You whimpered, feeling the edge of his dagger digging into your skin.
Hongjoong, though desperately trying to keep his cool, couldn't help but feel a surge of anger and worry at the sight of a small cut forming on your neck. Your frightened eyes met his and he offered you a reassuring smile, a silent promise that he was there for you.
I'm here, baby. It'll be okay.
The tension in the room was palpable and everyone held their breath, waiting for Minho's next move.
His eyes darted around at the determined faces of the gang members, who had gradually surrounded him. He realised that he was outnumbered, and his grip on you was slipping.
"You don't actually expect me to believe that, do you?" He muttered, his anger warring with desperation, "I heard what this bitch said to you, Chan. She asked you to turn Stray Kids into some charity nonsense and that wasn't even the worst part! You're actually considering it, aren't you?"
A small cry escaped you as Minho pressed the dagger deeper into your neck, drawing fresh blood. Your boyfriend's eyes widened, his voice pleading, "Please, don't!"
The gang leader froze at his second-in-command's words.
Suddenly, it all seemed to fall into place.
Minho had indeed overheard your conversation and this was likely the reason for his drastic and dangerous actions. Perhaps he had anticipated that this moment would spell the end of Stray Kids.
As this revelation hung heavily in the air, the rest of the gang turned their attention to Chan. They were desperate to know if what Minho had accused him of was true.
Was the leader genuinely planning to disband the gang and use their resources to do good instead?
Chan let out a heavy sigh, his voice carrying a weariness that betrayed his true feelings, "Yes, I'll admit I did consider it for a moment. But you have my word, Hongjoong and his group will be leaving soon, and things can return to normal, just as he said. If you let her go, we can sort this out."
That was a lie.
But in that critical moment, his only concern was getting you out of this dangerous situation unharmed. His focus was on protecting you above all else.
Tension hung thick in the air as Minho weighed his options, his face contorted with conflicting emotions. He desperately wanted to believe Chan, to have things return to the way they were before Jongho and you arrived.
All he had ever wanted was for things to go back to normal.
But Minho's anger flared as he observed the way Chan gazed at you, his eyes brimming with affection and concern.
It was sickening to witness and he couldn't find it within himself to forgive you for the turmoil your presence had unleashed. The way Chan looked at you told him that he might never truly let you go.
Promises of returning to normality didn't ease Minho's worries. He understood that just because the leader claimed things would return to how they were didn't mean it would last. There was always the lurking fear that Chan might eventually prioritise you over his gang.
"That's enough, Chan. I'm not buying any of your bullshit. Sorry to let you down, but she has to go." Minho's voice dripped with anger and mistrust, dismissing the leader's words as mere deception.
He tightened his grip on you, sending a shiver down your spine.
At that moment, the super zombie, which had appeared subdued, mysteriously sprang back to life, sending shockwaves of fear through the group. Seonghwa quickly ushered the younger members away, creating some distance from the now-resurrected creature, while the gang members prepared for another round of combat.
Unbeknownst to everyone, the creature's regenerative abilities had allowed it to survive the earlier assault, and it had not truly been defeated.
You couldn't help but sob in despair, feeling utterly helpless as you watched your friends brace themselves for another battle.
Behind you, Minho erupted in laughter, his tone malicious, "Oh, don't you just love surprises." You squirmed in his grasp as he whispered slyly into your ear.
Without warning, the super zombie twitched and convulsed, its grotesque form contorting in unnatural ways. Its eyes, previously fixed on you, now flickered erratically, displaying a disturbing mix of colours. A low, guttural growl emanated from deep within its throat while its eyes were now trained on a new target; its master.
Minho's laughter came to an abrupt halt as he watched in horrified disbelief.
The creature, driven by its malfunctioning systems, eyes locked on him, its gaze filled with an unsettling mix of rage and confusion. With a speed that defied its hulking appearance, it lunged in the direction of Minho and you.
"Stop. Stop, stop!" The right-hand man continuously recited the term meant to stop the creature, but it appeared utterly useless. This was the side effect that Seungmin had mentioned when warning him earlier.
With the super zombie's malfunction sending it into a frenzy, chaos reigned supreme in the dimly lit furniture store.
Minho's attempt to use you as a human shield only added to the pandemonium, as you struggled in his grasp, fear coursing through your veins.
Chan, acting on sheer instinct, lunged forward with a burst of speed and precision that was truly astonishing.
He grabbed you just in the nick of time, pulling you out of Minho's grasp before passing you to your boyfriend as the deranged second-in-command stumbled backwards, his shocked expression turning into one of pure terror.
Hongjoong's arms enveloped you, drawing you into a tight embrace as he realised just how close you had come to being lost forever. Over his shoulder, your eyes met Seonghwa's and in his tear-filled gaze, you saw the overwhelming relief that mirrored your own emotions.
The malfunctioning super zombie wasted no time. With a grotesque snarl, it leapt at Minho, its malformed limbs flailing wildly. Minho desperately tried to defend himself, his knife raised to fend off the creature, but it was too late. The creature's enhanced strength and agility overwhelmed him.
In a harrowing sequence of events, the super zombie overpowered Minho, its deformed fingers wrapping around his throat. Minho's eyes widened with a mixture of disbelief and horror as he gasped for breath, his once-dominant demeanour reduced to a frail shadow.
The gang members, witnessing the grim spectacle unfolding before them, hesitated for a moment. They had seen Minho as an intimidating figure, but now he was being mercilessly throttled by the very creation he had unleashed.
The reality was chilling, and it took a moment for them to process what was happening.
But they knew they couldn't stand idly by. With renewed determination, the guys launched into action once more. They surrounded the struggling duo, desperately trying to pry the monstrous hands of the super zombie away from Minho.
Jongho, Mingi and Yeosang, displaying their incredible strength, wrestled with the creature's limbs, attempting to free Minho from its deadly grip. Jeongin, Wooyoung and Yunho, fueled by adrenaline and anger at Minho's actions, searched for any vulnerability in the creature's horrific form.
Seungmin, Changbin, Hyunjin and Felix, still reeling from the earlier revelation, joined the effort. They wielded weapons with determination, striking the super zombie with calculated precision, each blow contributing to its weakening state.
Amid the frantic struggle, Minho's life hung in the balance. His face turned an ominous shade of blue and his gasps for air grew weaker. But the guys fought on, their unity and resolve stronger than ever.
Finally, with one last collective surge of effort, they succeeded.
The zombie's malfunctioning systems could no longer sustain its rampage. With a final, spine-chilling screech, it ceased all movement, collapsing onto the ground in a grotesque heap.
All the guys, exhausted and battered, stared at the lifeless creature before them. Minho lay motionless on the ground, his once-commanding presence extinguished forever.
The furniture store, once a battlefield, fell into an eerie silence.
In the aftermath of the brutal showdown, the guys of Chan's gang and Hongjoong's group exchanged solemn glances, their victory bittersweet. The price of their survival had been steep, and the memory of Jisung's sacrifice still weighed heavily on their hearts.
But as they stood together, united in the face of unimaginable challenges, they couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of purpose.
"It's over, my love. It's finally over." Hongjoong whispered to you, his voice a soothing balm. He pressed gentle kisses all over your forehead, his actions as much a reassurance to himself as to you.
Seonghwa, standing nearby, couldn't help but smile through his tears. He was just grateful that you were safe in Hongjoong's embrace and that this nightmare was over.

Happy birthday to Michael "Mickey" Crespo!
Today is his -507th birthday!
Tumblr media
Mickey was born on Luna to insurrectionist parents who died during an attack on a government building. He was placed in foster care, and enlisted in the UNSC at age eighteen, as military conscription was a requirement to leave foster. After his mandatory service, he chose to remain in the military, and eventually joined the ODSTs.
Mickey was part of the ODST squad Alpha-Nine during the Covenant attack on Earth. The squad was given orders to destroy the Covenant carrier Solemn Penance, until their orders were suddenly changed by Captain Veronica Dare. After getting separated in New Mombasa, Alpha-Nine would eventually regroup and assist Dare with her real mission: to secure a Huragok--an organic Forerunner construct with a natural drive to repair and an invaluable wealth of knowledge about both Covenant and Forerunner technology. They would succeed in capturing the Huragok, surrendering it to ONI.
After the end of the war, Alpha-Nine went right back into deployment against the Insurrection. Mickey resented fighting against humans immediately following an extinction war. After a standoff with an insurrectionist leader led to the death of the Rookie, Mickey's disillusionment with the war and the UNSC became exacerbated.
Alpha-Nine was offered admission into the SPARTAN program, which the remaining members eventually accepted. During his training, Mickey met Rudolf Schein, a fellow trainee and member of the United Rebel Front. Schein began to convince Mickey to join, but then died in a skirmish after he was found to have murderered another trainee who refused to join the URF.
Mickey met Schein's father at his funeral, and finally decided to quietly defect from the UEG. Alpha-Nine was sent to combat the rebels yet again, at which point, Mickey revealed his allegiance. He and Buck fought, with Buck knocking him unconscious and handing him in to Jun-A266. Mickey received a life sentence and was imprisoned on a Spartan training facility. These events led to the dissolution of Alpha-Nine.
When the Created conflict began, ONI scrambled to find a way to combat Cortana's Guardians, as the massive contructs were capable of oppressing entire planets without any way to fight them. Captain Veronica Dare began calling back the members of Alpha-Nine, including asking Buck and Romeo to free Mickey. Though Buck heavily protested, Dare needed someone with the URF's trust. She discovered a colony that possessed cloaking technology that the Guardians could not detect, but the colony was occupied by the URF. Dare felt that the only way to convince the colony to share with the UEG would be to bring one of their members.
Buck eventually relented, and Alpha-Nine, minus the Rookie, reassembled. Buck and Mickey spent much of this time arguing, with Buck believing Mickey to be a terrorist and traitor. They were eventually able to convince the mayor of Cassidy III to permit ONI to study the cloaking technology, but the colony was then attacked by a Guardian. Mickey saved Buck's life during the evacuation, and the iciness between them began to thaw.
Once back on Infinity, Buck convinced Captain Lasky and Commander Palmer to let Mickey remain free while the Created continued to be a threat. Mickey attended Buck's wedding, and Alpha-Nine was reformed as a Spartan fireteam. However, his fate after the hostilities cease (if they ever cease, it is Halo) is uncertain.
In canon (~2560), he is turning 30!

Phantom?
I wanna say this would take place towards the end of season1 young justice
Klarion had been up to his old habits again but this time he was summoning and binding ghosts to his will causing a whole new brand of chaos. the league is getting desperate calling every magic user they have at their disposal to figure out how they can combat the ghosts. While each of them have their own methods they are usually up agains shades rather than fully formed ectoplasmic ghosts. Both the justice league and the young justice team have met to discuss their next move. They all keep trying to come up with solution when then are interrupted by a young girl that appeared from thin air asking if they needed help everyone is immediately on guard prepared to attack
The girl (ghost?) backs up with her hands up and exclaims Woah woah chillax everyone I’m here to help! Batman immediately jumps in demanding she identify herself she says that’s fair the names phantom. Zatanna looks surprised and says that can’t be true Batman says a simple explain and Zatanna tells everyone about how phantom is a ghost who fought off other ghosts hundreds of years ago but to her knowledge phantom is a myth and well male
“Phantom” immediately gets offended im not a myth im dead there’s a difference and so what if I decided to be a girl this century that’s very sexist of you I mean really
Zatanna tries to apologize but “phantom” just says whatever I don’t care whether you believe me or not I’m here to help. Klarion is messing with my friends and that is not okay. She immediately starts explaining her plan and The rest of the league joins in
In the end they decide to use “phantom”as their secret weapon and she travels with Zatanna Conner Kaldur and Robin. When they get to Klarions base they get in position and wait for the signal but Phantom gets bored and start talking to the others asking about what it’s like being on a team and what each of their powers are she gets excited to hear about Kaldur being Atlantean and what that’s like before moving on to Conner asking what it was like being Superman’s son Conner immediately gets defensive and states I’m not his son I’m his clone. Phantom freezes and seems like she has a million and one questions but moves on to Zatanna just as they get the signal to attack.
The fight was hard but phantom managed to pull through and they were able to stop Klarion and free the ghosts. When it was all said and done everyone was injured in one way or another they had all gotten back to base to report their mission success to the league and were talking when a voice comes from behind “phantom” having fun? She turns around quickly and immediately tackles a tired looking teen to the ground yelling DAD what are you doing here you’re supposed to be sleeping. Everyone is confused after all how could an ancient ghost have a dad? He managed to sit up and replied that he’s so glad she brought that up because last he checked he was about to go fight Klarion the witch boy when the next thing he knew he was asleep In his room in his lair. Phantom? rubbed her neck and said sorry about that but you’ve been working so hard lately cw and her thought he needed a break.
Wally chimes in “what’s happening here?” And the teen says oh right nice to meet you guys I’m phantom. And this is my daughter Specter. Reaction is immediate and they start to get mad at her for lying to them and how she put the whole team at risk, they went in there thinking she was centuries old and she was a child. Kaldur jumps in to defend her and says that her help was invaluable, Danny thanks Kaldur and states that he’s not that much older than her and she is just as capable as he is at beating back klarion.
Things calm down and it’s Wally who asks how exactly Spector is his daughter.
They look at each other and laugh before Danny explains that he took her in as his ghost daughter but she was actually a clone made by his arch nemesis created to replace him. You could hear a pin drop even without super hearing before the team all slowly looks back and forth between conner Spector superman and phantom.
Danny and Elle just look at each other and say what did we say?
Honestly I forgot about this but please enjoy this vomit that has spewed from my brain :)

Motivated by this Tweet by @delta86-art I decided to share a Character description for Lito, the Quilava character from the cast of Pokémon I include in my drawings, which I wrote some time ago. I have not worked out the details for all the others, but I have solid ideas for what they are like.
I also have it as a PDF but Tumblr does not allow me to upload those, so here is the Google doc.
Here is the raw text without pictures:
Lito Ayrura, the Little Flame (or Flame Choker)
Race: Quilava
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Height: 0,87m / 2’10’’
Hobbies: Trying to learn high-skill magic, Hanging out with friends, causing mischief
Likes: Adventure Stories, Treasures, Strong drink called ‘Golden Elerin Brew’
Dislikes: Busy work, Foreigners, Fire, Hypocrites, Being broke, Medicine
Personality and Character:
As a young and energetic Pokémon and apprentice of an adventure guild, Lito values loyalty, honour and the desire to help those in need. He deeply admires the ideals and traditions of the guilds, but more in spirit than in letter. He presents himself as a carefree and laid-back individual, but he feels like he is constantly living in the shadow of the legacy of his older brother, who was an admired and almost legendary adventurer in the land and a reminder of Lito's weaknesses.
Being very ambitious but impatient, he often loses sight of the small but important things. He often falls behind in combat training and class, which he believes are boring. He tries to hide his shortcomings under a mask of brashness and overconfidence and often boasts to his friends. In many situations, Lito wants to take the initiative, even if it jeopardises his personal goals or even a mission, causing him to be seen as an annoyance and a liability by others. As a result, he often gets relegated to busy work. Lito does not like to ask others for help and reacts antagonistically to those who offer it to him, preferring to solve his problems on his own.
Unusual for a fire Pokémon, he has a deep fear of flames, which causes him to be greatly insecure about himself. It greatly stifled his potential as an adventurer and earned him the nickname ‘Flame Choker’ from his rivals, which he strongly dislikes. Because his abilities are either useless or weak, he relies on magical items during combat. He is knowledgeable and skilled in their usage, but they are expensive merchandise, resulting in constant money problems for Lito. Thus he often finds himself forced to choose between money and guild ideals. He always wears a golden bracer and talisman, but would never sell them for anything in the world because they are invaluable heirlooms to him.
Backstory:
Lito was born into the small Ayrura clan which ruled an unimportant island in the eastern Azure Sea near the Land of Winds. At a young age, his home town was ravaged and scorched to cinders by an enraged Groudon earth god which was set loose by an unknown foreign power. Lito lost most of his family and friends to the fires. Only a few Pokémon escaped this carnage, two of them being Lito and his older brother Lian. Only the bracer and talisman were left to them as proof of their lineage, and they became valuable artefacts to them. The brutal attack on his home and his utter inability to save his loved ones planted a deep fear of fire in his psyche.
After their escape, they began a long journey westward, on which they had to avoid pursuing bandits, bounty hunters and mysterious agents hellbent on capturing the remains of the Ayrura clan. It is only thanks to his brother that Lito survived this trip, even if barely. They ended up in the peaceful land named ‘The Golden Leaf’ where the two orphans were found and taken care of by a local adventurers guild. They adapted quickly to life in this new home. The guild master, who has had dealings with the Ayruras before, took them in as novices. Lian quickly climbed the guild ranks and became Lito's close mentor and somewhat of a second father figure. It became Lito's dream to get strong so he and his brother could go on great adventures together and save Pokémon who could not help themselves, something Lian promised him, despite Lito's struggle to learn fire abilities and techniques.
Powers and Abilities:
As a Pokémon of the Fire Nature, he has the same resistances and weaknesses against other magic forms as any other fire Pokémon. For instance, he is resistant to Grass techniques, but he is weak against techniques of Ground, Rock and Water.
Naturally, he can use four combat abilities consistently. His specific skill set consists of the techniques commonly known as ‘Quick Attack’, a quick physical strike, ‘Smoke Screen’, a cloud of thick smoke that blinds enemies, and his strongest moves, Fire Wheel and Swift, two powerful attacks which cause large amounts of damage. His fear of fire prevents Lito from using ‘Fire Wheel’ unless he is under dire stress. If he uses it, he passes out from mental overload, leaving him vulnerable for some time. ‘Swift’ is a high-level ability and thus often fails, resulting in an explosion which can cause Lito to take heavy damage.
To compensate for his flaws, Lito mainly fights using his good knowledge of magical combat items, which he carries around in his bag or a bundle on his back. Combined with his ‘Smoke Screen’ ability, he uses those items mainly for crowd control. Thus he can quickly either stun, slow, confuse, or make his targets fall asleep. But for the really strong foes, these effects might only last a short amount of time, so Lito often relies on the assistance of others. These items can also only be used a couple of times before they lose their power, so Lito has to use them sparingly.

HPHM Cardverse Masterlist | Blog Masterlist
The Hogwarts Mystery Cardverse is an AU that takes place in a fantasy land called Cinderhaven. There are five regions, four of them representing a suit of cards; Spades, Clubs, Hearts, Diamonds. The final region representing the Jokers.
Here it is, finally! Rakepick's backstory and motive! I kept this one short since I didn’t plan to make her backstory too long, just a good enough description on why she’s the way she is. To put things simply, she’s mad because the newer official role holders are all younger than her and some were literally handed their positions on silver platters while she worked her damn butt off to get her position.
Tumblr media
In the illustrious Country of Spades, where work flowed like the rivers and power lay in the hands of a select few, Patricia Rakepick was born into the esteemed House of Rakepick. From her earliest years, she was immersed in a world of privilege and expectation, the weight of her family's legacy pressing down upon her young shoulders like a suffocating cloak.
Raised within the imposing walls of her family's estate, Patricia's childhood was marked with rigorous education and training. Her parents, stern and unyielding, demanded nothing short of perfection from their daughter, instilling in her a relentless drive for excellence that burned bright within her.
But it was in the hallowed halls of the military academy that Patricia truly found her calling. She excelled in her studies, displaying an insatiable hunger for knowledge and a keen intellect that set her apart from her peers. Improving her skills in combat and strategy, driven by a burning desire to prove herself worthy of her family's legacy.
As she ascended through the ranks, Patricia's ambition knew no bounds. She set her sights on the coveted position of Ace of Spades, the highest rank in the country’s military hierarchy, a title reserved for only the most skilled commanders. Her prowess on the battlefield became legendary, her name whispered in awe and fear by those who knew of her exploits. But even as she carved out her place among the country’s elite soldiers, a shadow of resentment lingered in her heart.
Unlike Patricia Rakepick, who had clawed her way to the top through sheer force and will, Duncan Ashe had been handed his position on a silver platter, his ascent to becoming the next Jack of Spades was swift and seemingly effortless. Under the watchful eye of his mentor, Ulrich Scheller, the mastermind behind the country’s intricate web of finances and policies, Duncan had risen through the ranks with alarming speed, his youth and charm masking a cunning intellect that belied his years.
Even as he was still attending university, Duncan's influence within Ulrich's cabinet was already felt far and wide. His reports and recommendations were eagerly awaited by those in power, his insights and analysis proving invaluable in guiding the country through troubled times.
As Duncan was appointed the new Jack of Spades, another figure emerged from the shadows: Coby McQuaid, the king who never truly sought the crown. Coby's ascension to the throne was a twist of fate orchestrated by his closest friend and confidant, Duncan Ashe. Coby McQuaid never envisioned himself wearing the crown. His days were filled with adventure and laughter, not with the weighty responsibilities of rulership. Despite his initial reservations, Coby embraced his newfound position with characteristic optimism. He may not have been well-versed in the intricacies of governance, but he possessed a deep love for his people and a genuine desire to see them thrive.
As Patricia Rakepick's thirst for power intensified, so too did the darkness that lurked within her soul. Fueled by resentment and driven by ambition, she became a formidable force to be reckoned with in the Country of Spades. Overhearing the conversation between King Coby and Duncan about the possibility of adding Veruca McQuaid, Coby's sister, to the council only served to stoke the flames of Patricia's anger. In her eyes, it was yet another example of undeserving individuals being handed positions of power without earning them.
Determined to prove herself superior to Coby and Duncan, Patricia's ambition twisted into something darker and more insidious. She became ruthless and cunning, willing to cross any line to achieve her goals, no matter the cost. With each passing day, Patricia's thirst for power grew, consuming her from within like a relentless hunger. She manipulated events and people with calculated precision, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.
But as she climbed the ladder of success, leaving a path of devastation in her wake, Patricia's grip on reality began to slip. The lines between right and wrong blurred, and she found herself teetering on the edge of madness. Yet, even as the darkness threatened to consume her, Patricia remained determined to claim her rightful place among the elite of Spades. For in a country where power was the ultimate currency and ambition the driving force behind every action, she would stop at nothing to emerge victorious.
As Patricia Rakepick's fame as a war hero grew, so did her influence within the Country of Spades. Leveraging her reputation and military prowess, she capitalized on the dissatisfaction brewing among the people regarding King Coby's laid-back nature and perceived ineffectiveness as a ruler.
With a shrewd understanding of political maneuvering, Patricia exploited Coby's relaxed style of governance as a potent weapon against him. She paid off news reporters to spread gossip about Coby's extravagant spending habits, painting him as out of touch with the needs of the common folk. The whispers of discontent among the council members and the general populace provided fertile ground for Patricia to sow seeds of dissent. As she positioned herself as a strong and decisive leader, contrasting sharply with Coby's perceived weaknesses, she garnered widespread support among the disillusioned masses.
Patricia's promise of swift and decisive action resonated with many, particularly those who longed for a return to old-school traditions and values. Veterans, in particular, rallied behind her banner, viewing her as a champion of stability and order in a time of uncertainty. Under Patricia's leadership, she demanded absolute loyalty from her supporters, particularly from her military forces. Those who dared to question her authority or stray from her path were swiftly dealt with, sent off to the metaphorical "gulag" as a warning to others.
While some embraced Coby’s vision for the future of Spades, others clung stubbornly to the past, resisting change and viewing Coby's carefree demeanor as a sign of weakness. Yet, as the winds of political upheaval swept through the country, it became increasingly clear that the days of Coby's reign were numbered, and the era of Patricia Rakepick's iron-fisted rule was on the horizon.

War Medic (Prestige Class)
Tumblr media
(art by Rialll on deviantart)
(This is the first in what ended up being a trio of prestige classes for martial characters that fulfil the Healer-Tank-DPS roles of MMORPGs. It's old, but I'm quite proud of it!)
Healing is, generally, considered the role of clerics and similar faithful. These specialized healers are premier methods of keeping one's heart beating, but sometimes they are simply not available, or could simply use some backup. This is the job of the war medic, a soldier or warrior who is trained to patch up his allies in the thick of battle.
Role: War medics are invaluable both on and off the battlefield, wielding a deadly weapon in one hand and keeping their allies alive with the other. Alignment: War medics can be any alignment HD: d10
Prerequisites
Skills: Heal 5 Feats: Combat Medic Ability Scores: Wis 13 Other: Proficiency with all Martial Weapons, Possession of a Medical Kit
Skills A war medic gains 6+int mod skill ranks per level A war medic’s skill list is Bluff (Cha), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha,) Heal (Wis), Knowledge (local) (Int), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Linguistics (Int), Sleight of Hand (Dex), and Survival (Wis)
Tumblr media
Weapon and Armor Proficiencies A war medic gains no weapon and armor proficiencies.
Surgical Precision (Ex)
A war medic’s doctoral training lets him heal as well as harm. As long as he is wielding a light or one handed melee weapon and has a free hand, he deals an extra 1d8 precision damage, as a rogue’s Sneak Attack ability. Unlike a rogue’s Sneak Attack, this damage does not increase as the War Medic levels up.
Med Kit (Ex)
A war medic’s greatest tool is his med kit- he carries within it supplies needed to heal ailments of all types, from mundane wounds to magical curses. His med kit contains a number of supply points equal to his wisdom modifier+his level in war medic. At the start of his day he may spend an hour cleaning and salvaging his supplies. If he does, he regains a number of supply points equal to his wisdom modifier. Additionally, at any settlement sized large town or larger he may fully refresh his supply points by shopping for one hour and spending 10g. These supply points can also be spent as uses of a healer’s kit.
As a standard action, a war medic with a free hand may spend 1 supply point to give any creature within touch range 2d6 temporary hit points plus his wisdom modifier. These hit points wear off after 2 hours. At levels 4, 7, and 10, he adds 1d6 to his temporary hit points. This does not trigger an attack of opportunity.
Trained Healer (Ex)
A war medic is as much a healer as he is a warrior; he adds his level in war medic to his heal skill. Additionally, he halves the required time taken to perform any heal action that takes longer than a full round.
First Responder (Ex)
At level 2 a war medic adds his wisdom modifier to his initiative.
Medic’s Trick
At level 2, then at level 3 and every two levels thereafter, a war medic gains access to a medic’s trick chosen from a list. A war medic can only apply one trick to his surgical precision damage at a time, and these abilities do not stack with themself unless stated otherwise. The DC of a medic’s trick is equal to 10+his level in war medic+his wisdom modifier. All penalties applied with medic’s trick can be ended early with a successful Heal check with the same DC as a standard action.
Heal Thyself (Ex) A war medic with this trick may spend a swift action and a supply point to give himself temporary hit points as with his med kit.
Immediate Care (Ex) A war medic with this trick may choose to use one of his attacks in a full attack action to grant temporary hit points with his med kit, rather than a standard action.
Hobble (Ex) A war medic may apply this trick to his surgical precision. If he successfully lands a hit that deals surgical precision damage, that creature must make a fortitude save or have its movement speeds reduced by 10, to a minimum of 5, for 1 minute.
Worsening Condition (Ex) A war medic may apply this trick to his surgical precision. If he successfully lands a hit that deals surgical precision damage, that creature must make a fortitude save. If they fail, they take a -2 penalty to saves for 1 minute.
Myopia (Ex) A war medic may apply this trick to surgical precision. If he successfully lands a hit that deals surgical precision damage, that creature must make a fortitude save. If they fail, they treat all creatures including willing targets as though they had partial concealment for 1 minute. Blind creatures and creatures with blindsight are immune to this effect, but creatures that can see through fog or similar concealment are not.
Break Fantasies (Ex) A war medic may apply this trick to surgical precision. If he successfully lands a hit that deals surgical precision damage, that creature must make a fortitude save. If they fail, they must make a concentration check with DC equal to 10+the war medic’s level in war medic+his wisdom modifier in order to cast a spell during the next 1 minute.
Strike the Vein (Ex) A war medic may apply this trick to surgical precision. If he successfully lands a hit that deals surgical precision damage, it inflicts bleed 1. This ability stacks with itself.
Blue Shield (Ex) A war medic with this trick gains proficiency with light and medium shields if he does not already have them, and may apply his surgical precision damage if he is wielding a shield in his free hand.
Bedside Manners (Ex) A war medic with this trick may use his wisdom in place of charisma for Bluff and Diplomacy and gets a +2 bonus to those skills.
Alternative Medicine (Ex) A war medic with this trick treats Use Magic Device as a class skill and may use his wisdom in place of charisma for Use Magic Device. He may apply his surgical precision damage if he is wielding a wand or scroll in his free hand.
Supernatural Healing (Su) A war medic with this trick may choose to heal damage with his med kit rather than give temporary hit points.
Extra Mercy (Ex) A war medic with this trick gains an additional Mercy from those available to him.
Combat Feat (Ex) A war medic with this trick gains a feat chosen from the combat feat list.
Mercy (Ex)
At level 2 and every two thereafter until level 8, a war medic chooses a mercy from the paladin’s mercy list, although he gains it at a heightened pace. At level 2, he gains access to the paladin’s level 3 mercies, at level 4, he gains access to the paladin’s level 6 mercies, at level 6, he gains access to the paladin’s level 9 mercies, and at level 8, he gains access to the paladin’s level 12 mercies. Saves related to mercies instead have a DC equal to 10+the war medic’s Wisdom modifier+his level in War Medic. This ability functions like the paladin ability of the same name, except it applies to temporary hit points granted by his med kit, rather than his lay on hands, and as noted above.
Floating Mercy (Ex)
At level 10, a war medic gains a floating mercy. At the start of each day, while refreshing his med kit, a war medic may choose one mercy from among those available to him. That mercy applies to his med kit for the rest of the day.

Airmark's Guide to Planar Vegetables: Lotus Anchorite
Tumblr media
These curious plants are found spotted throughout the Astral Plane, drifting in a meditative trance with their humanoid-shaped root systems trailing beneath their flower, which takes the place of the 'head'. The flower typically has a midnight-blue hue that fades into a rich maroon near the tips of the petals, with rich orange innards.
Due to the timeless nature of their home plane, lotus anchorites remain healthy without any need for sun, water, or nutrients of any kind; if transported to other planes, they demonstrate typical needs for a flowering plant of their size, favoring warm, wet environments. Lotus anchorites are exceedingly rare, potentially due to the divinatory use of their petals.
Lotus anchorite petals can be eaten, and if consumed provide revelatory visions that many attest to be the gods themselves contacting the consumer. Anchorites do not often consent to others consuming their petals, as they only grow a single flower in their lifetimes, and petals do not grow back.
If pressed to defend themselves, lotus anchorites bring both formidable psychic power and physical prowess to bear, equally adept at nonlethally escaping or ending combats as bringing would-be assailants to an untimely end. However, they are conversational if approached peacefully, and prove knowledgeable on a variety of topics. Consulting with them has proven invaluable to my research.

Embracing Consciousness:
The Power of Being "Woke"
In a world riddled with racism, bigotry, misogyny, and intolerance, the term "woke" has emerged as a beacon of hope, inspiring individuals to confront social injustices head-on. However, this powerful term has not been without its controversies. In this blog post, we'll explore the essence of being "woke" and the necessity of embracing consciousness to combat the negative forces that plague our society.
The Dark Side of "Wokeness"
As with any movement, the "woke" culture has faced its fair share of criticisms. Some argue that it breeds self-righteousness and performative activism. Indeed, the pursuit of virtue signaling and the desire to outdo each other in the Wokeness Olympics can divert attention from the very issues it seeks to address. However, let us not forget that the core of being "woke" lies in awareness and empathy, not in empty gestures or hollow statements.
The Real Enemy: Ignorance and Intolerance
On the other side of the coin lie the true adversaries - ignorance and intolerance. Racism, bigotry, misogyny, and other forms of discrimination thrive when people turn a blind eye to systemic inequalities and perpetuate harmful beliefs and behaviors. Being "woke" represents an awakening, an acknowledgment of these issues, and a determination to challenge the status quo.
Fostering Empathy and Understanding
At the heart of being "woke" lies the cultivation of empathy and understanding. By embracing the experiences of others and actively listening to their stories, we gain invaluable insights into the struggles they face. Only through empathy can we break down the barriers that divide us and build a more united and compassionate society.
Education as a Catalyst for Change
Being "woke" is not about flaunting buzzwords or empty rhetoric; it's about educating ourselves on the intricacies of social issues. Delving deep into the roots of racism, sexism, and discrimination allows us to develop a nuanced understanding of these complex problems. Armed with knowledge, we can challenge misconceptions and advocate for informed solutions.
Turning Awareness into Action
Awareness alone is not enough to dismantle the structures of injustice. To make a real difference, we must translate our consciousness into meaningful action. Support for marginalized communities, participation in grassroots movements, and collaboration with like-minded individuals can lead to tangible progress. Being "woke" demands proactive engagement, not passive indifference.
Uniting for a Common Cause
As the world becomes increasingly polarized, it's crucial to remember that the struggle against discrimination is a collective battle. Rather than letting the term "woke" divide us, let us unite under the banner of compassion and equity. By seeking common ground and acknowledging the humanity in each other, we can bridge the gaps that separate us and work towards a brighter future.
Being "woke" is not a one-size-fits-all label; it represents a journey towards consciousness, empathy, and positive change. While it is essential to address the negative aspects associated with the "woke" culture, we must not lose sight of its fundamental purpose - to challenge racism, bigotry, misogyny, and intolerance. Let us embrace being "woke" as a call to action, to educate ourselves, foster empathy, and unite in the fight for a more equitable and inclusive society. Together, we can build a better world for everyone.

Decided to Make a little lore Drop for my Xenoverse 2 insert/oc A NEW ANDROID APPEARS? FRIEND OR FOE?
Tumblr media
DATA LOG - ENTRY 1
"My name is....WAS...Android 22. I was created by the brilliant Dr Gero as part of his secret "Project ARK" as a way to ensure that his research would never be lost. Unlike my previous iterations 17 & 18 i was never an organic human turned android, and unlike cell i am not a bio android. I am instead the same as android 16 being fully an automaton. But i was designed to be indistinguishable from a normal human, i look human, i sound human, i was meant to imitate an average human and be undetectable. You see, Even though the doctor had long since fallen to his madness, fear, and paranoia...deep down in a sick twisted way he only wanted what he thought was best for humanity and knew that the information and research he had gathered and his vast array of knowledge were to invaluable to ever loose if something were too happen. So he started "Project ARK" and created me, dubbing me android 22. He Created me using his most advanced materials and technologies and made me his most powerful and deadly creation he had ever built. But i was not built for combat, in fact i was originally programmed to avoid conflict. Once i was completed he placed me deep in the forest far from his base in a hidden alcove that nobody would find. I was to be the life boat of his lifes work and to protect it from any and all harm. When he turned himself into an android he created a three way link between himself, his computers in his lab, and me. When the doctor was killed it triggered the emergency system and all the information in his various computers as well as all the knowledge he held in his own mind were beamed into my head and locked away for safety. After a set amount of years after his death my reanimation protocalls activated and i was awoken (Gero programmed me not to immediately awaken so that what whatever killed him may have blown over or left the area for good).
However back then i was a mere automaton, i was nothing but a robot that was programmed to protect the knowledge it held. My first directive was to head towards Geros lab to try and continue his work, however as the lab had been destroyed i had to follow my second directive which was simply protect the information housed in my brain from any and all possible threats. He designed me with his most advanced technology and deadliest weapons...but i was never meant to fight..in fact these were only meant to be as last resorts as he did not want me risking the information inside me. And so i followed my programming and wandered the world as a facsimile of a regular human. The Doctor had designed me to be indistinguishable from a normal person without the most intense examinations. I looked human, i sounded human, i "acted" human, every aspect of me was designed to appear like a normal human (even having a small sub ki generator installed along with my infinite engine. so that i would have a small ki signature like a normal person). My programming was to pretend to be a human for as long as possible until i could find a fellow mind brilliant enough to continue the doctors work (That he hadnt already ruled out, apologies bulma) However as i travelled the world for years something....changed. Being his most advanced creation filled with every single bit of knowledge the doctor had must have caused a snowball effect. I began to have variables in my behavior that were never part of the original codes, i began to behave differently than ways that were programmed in me. This wasnt automated learning as it had been before...this was...different. Dr Gero may have been a raving madman who had long since lost himself to his madness and anger, but he was a brilliant scientist at the end of the day and i began to evolve in a way no normal machine ever could. I began to take a life of my own and with the help of the sheer amount of knowledge given to me, the futuristic tech he created me with...and perhaps that small spark of nobility the Dr had in himself....i became sentient and became...alive. As you can imagine this has been an....overwhelming experience. I am struggling with this newfound sentience and trying to find my place in the universe...and my joining of the time patrol and learning about other universes does not help the issues of my existential dread. I have decided to give myself a new name, as i am a new being and i will forge my OWN path in life. But that is enough for this log for now.
My name was android 22....now..i am Moss"

To comprehend why evil dominates people's minds, it is crucial to understand its underlying causes. We explore the concepts of evil influence, mind control, and psychological manipulation.By delving into these psychological mechanisms, we aim to shed light on why individuals succumb to evil forces and become entrapped in its grip.
The Role of History in Our Understanding of Evil
Throughout history, we have gleaned invaluable insights into the nature of evil, even dating back to biblical times. By examining historical accounts and stories, we can uncover a deeper understanding of the human capacity for darkness. These glimpses into the past shed light on the prevalence of evil throughout history and its lasting impact on society. An exploration of various examples and anecdotes reveals the pervasive nature of evil in different historical eras. Whether it is the tyrannical rulers of ancient civilizations, the atrocities committed during times of war, or the moral decay that plagues societies, history serves as a testament to the enduring presence of evil.Understanding the role that historical events and individuals play in the propagation of evil allows us to contextualize its influence and better equip ourselves to combat its effects. By studying the lessons of the past, we gain essential knowledge that can aid us in recognizing and resisting evil in the present.
The Dangers of Evil Domination
Evil domination poses significant risks to individuals and society as a whole. When evil influences take hold of people's minds, the consequences can be dire. From moral degradation to the erosion of empathy, the negative influence of evil can have far-reaching effects. One of the dangers of evil domination is the potential for moral degradation. When individuals are under the sway of evil, their sense of right and wrong becomes distorted or even completely lost. This can lead to a disregard for ethical principles, causing harm to others and contributing to a decline in societal values.Another peril of evil domination is the erosion of empathy. Evil influences can corrode the capacity for compassion and understanding, replacing them with selfishness and callousness. This can result in a society where empathy and kindness are scarce, leading to heightened conflicts and social divisions.Furthermore, the negative influence of evil can extend to the manipulation and exploitation of vulnerable individuals. Evil forces often prey on the weaknesses and insecurities of others, using them for their own malevolent agendas. This can result in the victimization and suffering of innocent individuals. To illustrate the dangers of evil domination, consider the impact of cults and extremist groups. These organizations manipulate vulnerable individuals through indoctrination, leading them down destructive paths and causing harm both to themselves and society at large. It is crucial to be aware of these dangers and take proactive measures to protect ourselves and others from the negative influence of evil. By cultivating strong moral values, fostering empathy, and promoting critical thinking, we can create a defense against the grip of evil.Remember, the fight against evil domination begins with individual awareness and action. By standing against the dangers it poses, we can strive for a world that is resilient to its negative influence.
Recognizing the Signs of Evil Influence
To protect yourself from the grip of evil, it is crucial to recognize its signs. Evil often employs tactics such as brainwashing, subliminal messages, and cognitive distortion to manipulate individuals. By sharpening your awareness and understanding these techniques, you can better equip yourself to identify and resist evil influences.Brainwashing is a powerful tool used to control and manipulate people's thoughts and actions. It involves the systematic application of psychological techniques to change individuals' beliefs, values, and behaviors. This can be done through techniques like repetition, isolation, and the creation of dependency.Subliminal messages are another insidious method used to influence people without their conscious awareness. These messages are often embedded in visual or auditory stimuli and bypass the conscious mind, targeting the subconscious. Through subtle suggestions and cues, they can shape people's thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.Cognitive distortion is yet another tactic used by evil to twist the perception of reality. It involves distorting thoughts and beliefs to maintain control over individuals. By instilling fear, doubt, and irrationality, evil forces can manipulate people into serving their own interests. The Power of AwarenessRecognizing the signs of evil influence starts with developing a keen sense of self-awareness. Take time to reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Pay attention to any patterns or inconsistencies that may indicate external manipulation.Additionally, educate yourself on the techniques and methods employed by evil forces. Familiarize yourself with the concept of brainwashing, subliminal messages, and cognitive distortion. This knowledge will empower you to spot these tactics when they are being used against you or others.Resisting Evil InfluenceOnce you recognize the signs of evil influence, it is essential to resist and protect yourself. Maintain a critical mindset and question information or messages that feel manipulative or deceptive. Seek alternative perspectives and verify the accuracy of the information you receive.Build a network of supportive individuals who can provide different viewpoints and challenge your beliefs. Surround yourself with people who promote ethical values and help you stay grounded in truth.Remember, your mind is a powerful tool, and by staying vigilant and informed, you can resist and break free from the grip of evil influence.
Psychological Warfare and the Battle Against Evil
Evil is adept at employing psychological warfare techniques to gain control over vulnerable minds. In the ongoing battle against evil's influence, understanding the strategies employed in psychological warfare and the role of cognitive distortion is crucial. By familiarising ourselves with these manipulative mechanisms, we can develop effective counterstrategies to safeguard our minds and protect ourselves from its insidious grasp. In psychological warfare, the objective is to exploit psychological vulnerabilities and induce cognitive distortion in individuals. By distorting their perception of reality and influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, evil aims to establish dominance over the psyche. Manipulative tactics such as gaslighting, propaganda, and misinformation campaigns are commonly used to sow seeds of doubt, confusion, and fear. The key component of psychological warfare is cognitive distortion. This refers to the systematic alteration of an individual's thoughts and beliefs to align with the agenda of the evildoer. Cognitive distortions can take countless forms, including black-and-white thinking, emotional reasoning, and personalization, among others. By distorting reality and manipulating perceptions, evil gains control and weakens an individual's ability to resist its influence. To effectively combat psychological warfare, it is essential to develop resilience and critical thinking skills. By cultivating awareness of the tactics used in psychological manipulation, individuals can identify and challenge cognitive distortions when they arise. An informed and discerning mind is better equipped to combat the insidious influence of evil.Building Resilience: Strategies for ProtectionBuilding resilience is an integral part of the battle against evil's psychological warfare. By adopting protective strategies, individuals can fortify their minds and reduce vulnerability to manipulation. Some practical steps to take include: - Educate Yourself: Stay informed about psychological manipulation techniques and cognitive distortions. Develop a solid understanding of how these tactics work, enabling you to recognize and resist them. - Cultivate Critical Thinking: Enhance your ability to evaluate information critically. Question the source, credibility, and underlying motives behind messages and narratives you encounter. - Practice Emotional Awareness: Nurture emotional intelligence to recognize and regulate your emotions. Emotional awareness reduces susceptibility to manipulative tactics that exploit emotions. - Seek Support: Establish connections with trustworthy individuals who can provide emotional support and differing perspectives. A network of support can help counteract the isolation often induced by psychological warfare. - Maintain Healthy Boundaries: Set boundaries that protect your mental and emotional well-being. Establish clear limits on the information you consume and the relationships you engage in. By implementing these protective strategies, you bolster your resilience against psychological warfare and fortify your defense against the influence of evil. As the battle against evil's grip on minds intensifies, equipping yourself with knowledge and resilience becomes crucial in safeguarding your own well-being and contributing to a more resilient society.
Breaking Free from the Grip of Evil
Breaking free from the grip of evil requires conscious effort and a commitment to personal growth. In order to reclaim your mind and resist the influence of evil, it is essential to employ various protection strategies that can help you navigate the treacherous path ahead. One effective strategy is self-reflection. Taking the time to examine your own thoughts, emotions, and actions can enable you to identify any negative influences or patterns that may be associated with evil. By gaining awareness of these aspects, you can actively work towards purging them from your mind and life.Seeking support is another crucial step on the journey to breaking free from evil's hold. Surrounding yourself with a strong support network of friends, family, or even professional counselors can provide you with the guidance, encouragement, and accountability needed to resist the allure of evil influences.Additionally, nourishing your mind and spirit with positive and uplifting content can help fortify your mental resilience against the onslaught of evil. Engaging in activities such as reading inspirational literature, practicing meditation, or pursuing creative hobbies can empower you to develop a mindset that is impervious to the destructive forces of evil.Remember, breaking free from the grip of evil requires relentless determination and a commitment to personal transformation. With the implementation of these protection strategies, you can regain control over your thoughts and actions, creating a fortified fortress against the insidious forces that seek to manipulate and control.
The Power of Individual Choice
While evil may attempt to dominate minds, ultimately, the power of choice lies within individuals themselves. Each person possesses the ability to resist the influence of evil and forge their own path. In the face of evil dominating people's minds, it is essential to acknowledge and embrace the significance of individual agency.By recognising that we have control over our own thoughts, actions, and beliefs, we empower ourselves to stand against the darkness that seeks to engulf us. Through our choices, we can break free from the grip of evil and reclaim our autonomy.By exercising our power of choice, we can guard our minds against the pervasive influence of evil. This requires a vigilant commitment to self-reflection, critical thinking, and the pursuit of truth. When we actively question and challenge the narratives imposed upon us, we become less susceptible to the insidious tactics of mind control.Protecting ourselves from the domination of evil begins with cultivating an unwavering resolve to uphold our values and act in accordance with our moral compass. It is not enough to simply resist evil; we must also actively promote goodness, compassion, and empathy. By championing these virtues, we create a counterforce against the prevailing darkness. The Image of ResistanceThe image above serves as a visual representation of the struggle against the dominance of evil. Chapter 3: A Song for the Unlikely Trio
The fabled Golden Harp of Rylar beckoned, and an unlikely trio stood at the threshold of its mystery. Geralt, the Witcher with eyes like flint and a heart like a hidden well; (Y/N), the skilled hunter whose resolve was tempered by the fire of determination; and Jaskier, the flamboyant bard with a heart full of melodies and a head brimming with tales. Their journey had led them deep into the heart of an enchanted forest, where they would face both the wonders and dangers of an ancient magic.
The forest, known as the Whispering Woods, lived up to its name. Enchanted trees murmured secrets in the wind, and the gentle rustle of leaves seemed to echo with a forgotten language. In the day, they marveled at the sight of mystical creatures that seemed to have sprung from the pages of a fairy tale. From talking wolves who shared cryptic wisdom to fae folk who played mischievous pranks, every step in the forest revealed a new wonder.
At night, the forest took on an ethereal charm of its own. The trees glowed with bioluminescent fungi, casting an otherworldly light on their path. Magical fireflies danced in the air, forming constellations of light, as if the very forest had come alive to guide their way.
As they ventured deeper into the Whispering Woods, their teamwork was tested time and again. Geralt's swordplay and combat skills protected the group from the menacing spirits that lurked among the trees. (Y/N)'s tracking abilities and knowledge of the forest's flora and fauna proved invaluable for deciphering the forest's secrets. Meanwhile, Jaskier's infectious optimism and endless repertoire of songs lightened the atmosphere, even in the darkest of times.
Their adventures were not without danger. One moonlit night, they were ambushed by a vengeful spirit that sought to avenge an ancient grudge. It was a creature borne of the forest's magic, and it attacked with ethereal claws that could rend the very soul. Jaskier's quick thinking, recalling a song about a forest guardian, helped them understand the spirit's grievance. With Jaskier's soothing melodies and (Y/N)'s offering of a treasured keepsake, the spirit was pacified, and they were allowed to pass unharmed.
Another time, they stumbled upon a clearing where a gathering of fae folk was taking place. These mischievous beings danced around a bonfire and beckoned for the travelers to join them. Jaskier, ever the sociable bard, was eager to participate, while Geralt watched with cautious amusement. It was (Y/N) who had to remind them of the tales of mortals who were spirited away to the fae realms, never to return.
Nevertheless, the encounter ended in an impromptu musical performance where Jaskier's lute mingled with the fae's ethereal tunes. It was a night filled with laughter, and the fae promised to watch over their journey, leaving the trio with enchanted trinkets as tokens of their gratitude.
Despite the eccentricity of their newfound companion, the bond between Geralt, (Y/N), and Jaskier deepened with each passing adventure. They shared stories around the campfire, each of them taking turns to recount their life's journey. Geralt, a child of destiny, had been subjected to the brutal trials of the Witcher, leaving him with mutated abilities and a burdened conscience. (Y/N) revealed her desire for more than the life of a village hunter, a longing that had led her to this path of adventure. Jaskier, the bard with the red hat and the ever-present lute, shared tales of his travels, the inspiration for his songs, and the many near-death experiences he had encountered while following Geralt.
As the days turned into weeks, Jaskier continued to regale them with songs about their exploits. He sang of their encounters with mystical creatures, their battles with ancient magic, and the unbreakable bond they shared as they pursued the fabled Golden Harp of Rylar. His songs were a mix of heroism and humor, each one more extravagant than the last. Whether they faced off against spectral wolves or conversed with talking trees, Jaskier's melodies made their adventures feel like epic sagas.
One evening, as they sat around the campfire, the forest alive with the soft hum of the wind and the haunting melodies of Jaskier's lute, Geralt spoke, his voice tinged with gruff warmth. "You know, Jaskier, your songs might not be as pointless as I thought. They capture our adventures quite well."
Jaskier beamed, genuinely touched by the compliment. "Why, Geralt, I knew you'd come around eventually. I've always said that bards have a way of making history more exciting."
(Y/N) couldn't help but smile at the camaraderie that had developed between them. Despite the eccentricity of their newfound companion, they had become a formidable team, bound by their shared experiences and their unique abilities.
Their quest for the Golden Harp of Rylar reached its climax in the heart of the Whispering Woods. They encountered ancient magic, powerful guardians, and riddles that tested their wits. It was a challenge that demanded the combined strengths of the trio, and they navigated it with the kind of synergy that only came from shared adventures.
In the end, they stood before the fabled harp, its golden strings shimmering with an otherworldly light. The moment was bittersweet, as they realized that their adventure was coming to a close.
Jaskier strummed the harp's strings, producing a hauntingly beautiful melody that filled the forest. As the sound resonated through the trees, it was clear that the harp held ancient secrets and untold power.
(Y/N) gazed at her companions, a sense of gratitude filling her heart. The journey with Geralt and Jaskier had been wild and unpredictable, but it had also been an unforgettable chapter in her life.
As they left the enchanted forest behind, (Y/N) couldn't help
but wonder what new adventures awaited them. The trio had discovered treasures beyond gold and magic; they had found friendship, laughter, and a bond that transcended their differences. As they rode away from the Whispering Woods, their path ahead remained shrouded in uncertainty, ready to reveal its next enchanting secret.
Their next destination was the coastal town of Malhaven, known for its bustling harbor and maritime trade. With the Golden Harp of Rylar safely in their possession, they hoped to find a buyer who would appreciate the harp's ancient melodies and its ethereal resonance.
However, upon their arrival in Malhaven, they soon discovered that the coastal town was grappling with its own set of problems. Fishermen told tales of monstrous sea creatures that terrorized their waters, preventing them from bringing in their livelihood. The townsfolk were fearful, and the once-thriving harbor now lay deserted.
With their sense of adventure and a desire to help those in need, Geralt, (Y/N), and Jaskier couldn't turn a blind eye to the town's plight. They decided to investigate the sea monster sightings and put an end to the aquatic menace that plagued Malhaven.
Their journey took them out to the stormy sea, where tales of ancient sea serpents and merfolk had given rise to fear and superstition. Guided by the stories of the local fishermen, they ventured to a hidden cove rumored to be the lair of the sea monster.
As their boat approached the dark, foreboding cove, the waters grew eerily calm. The silence was unsettling, and the trio felt the weight of an unseen presence in the depths below.
Suddenly, the sea erupted, and a colossal creature, with serpentine scales and luminous eyes, breached the surface. It was a sea serpent of immense proportions, its roars echoing like thunder.
Jaskier's eyes widened in both awe and terror. "Now, this is a story I'll sing about for ages!"
The battle that ensued was nothing short of epic. Geralt's swordplay, honed through countless encounters with monsters, proved invaluable. (Y/N)'s precision with a crossbow allowed her to strike at the beast's vital points, while Jaskier, despite his initial fear, managed to use his lute to create melodies that soothed the sea serpent's rage, if only temporarily.
Their teamwork was a sight to behold. Geralt and (Y/N) held the beast's attention, deflecting its attacks and creating openings for Jaskier to play his soothing melodies. The sea serpent, seemingly enchanted by the bard's music, gradually calmed.
As Jaskier played, the sea serpent's aggression waned, and its thrashing grew less violent. It seemed that the ancient melodies of the Golden Harp of Rylar had found a kindred spirit in the beast. The serpentine giant slowly descended beneath the waves, returning to the depths from whence it came.
Malhaven's harbor was saved, and its grateful fishermen hailed the trio as saviors. The town's prosperity returned as the seas teemed with fish, and the gratitude of its people was palpable. Tales of the Witcher, the hunter, and the bard who tamed the sea serpent spread far and wide.
Jaskier couldn't resist weaving the sea serpent encounter into one of his songs, adding yet another verse to their growing saga. He sang of their adventures, from the Whispering Woods to the tempestuous sea, and the chorus became an anthem of their unbreakable bond.
Their journey had become a tapestry of legends, and they rode on with heads held high. As they continued to explore the vast Continent, Geralt, (Y/N), and Jaskier knew that their adventures were far from over. The world was vast, filled with ancient mysteries, and brimming with stories yet untold.
The hunter, the Witcher, and the bard had embarked on a journey that was both thrilling and unpredictable. Their path led them through enchanted forests, across stormy seas, and into the hearts of towns in need. Together, they faced the unknown with courage and camaraderie, ready to confront any challenge that lay ahead.
As they looked to the horizon, (Y/N) couldn't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the companionship she had found. Geralt's steadfast determination, Jaskier's boundless enthusiasm, and their shared adventures had become the defining chapters of her life.
With their combined strengths, the trio was ready to tackle any adventure, no matter how wild or dangerous it might be. They were the Witcher, the hunter, and the bard, bound by fate and choice, and they were prepared to face the monsters, the darkness, and the unknown together. The world was their oyster, and every new adventure was a pearl waiting to be discovered.

Aster (he/she)
Tumblr media
Healer, cook, and martial artist. Also a little ball of anxiety 80% of the time.
He’s very sweet, but his social skills are ass. Blue is not helpful, and Temp and Glaze used to pick on him when they were kids. They are mostly doing it affectionately, but it didn’t feel like it. He’s closest to Wren because Wren was the only one who tried to stop them. Nowadays they all get along a little better, buuut…
Aster had 0 reason to help everyone, but he ended up learning about Corvus and Orion along with the other clones, and decided he wanted to help. He tried to get Blue to teach him to fight, but Blue was like “,,,,aster i get nauseous at the sight of blood. Do you think i know how to fight.” Blue did however help them find ways to learn how to fight.
Aster learned Vadakkan Kalari, which is one of many styles of Kalaripayattu. Enjoy the wiki link. Anyways, she also learned healing magic, and uses her flexibility from her Kalari training to weave between and around enemies to heal the others in a fight. It took a while for her to figure out quick battle healing, but she managed. She’s an invaluable part of the team.
Of his combat skills, Aster favors a dagger, but he also can use a sword and a spear, and can take down opponents bare-handed. Oddly enough, when he starts fighting, most of his anxiety seems to go away.
Blue
He was really not ready to take care of a kid, and he knew it. He tried his best, though, even if wasn’t great.
In trying his best not to be anything like his brother, he was often overly lenient with kid Aster, until his better judgment overrode those worries and he’d suddenly be like ‘ok no, no more of that.’ He told her that he just didn’t realize just how bad an idea it was, Aster became rather afraid to try things. And very unsure of when something that was ok at one point would suddenly Not Be Okay.
When he was older Blue did explain the actual reason and sort of apologized for being the source of most of his anxiety.
Like I said with Temp and Glaze, it’s probably a good thing he had the others’ help, or Aster could’ve wound up much worse. He’s very glad they invited him.
He did his best to teach her things he knew, though. Cooking, fibercraft, yoga. The yoga helped Aster work on his flexibility a lot, which is the main reason Blue was suggested it. He may have offered earlier on, but he wasn’t going to make her learn. Once they decided to pursue Kalari, though, he was like ‘yknow, yoga could give you some extra flexibility exercises, if you wanted to try it.’ He still didn’t make her, it was just more of a ‘this might help’ than ‘do you want to do this’ then.
Other Stuff
Aster's alignment is Neutral Good
Aster isn’t strawberry blonde it’s just dye. he wants to be but alas, he is the clone of someone with a much less interesting hair color
The scar on Aster’s face was gotten during her lessons. She’s actually very proud of it.
Fun thing about Kalari, straight from the wiki: "...it is stated that the cardinal principle of Kalaripayattu was that knowledge of the art be used to further worthy causes, and not for the advancement of one's own selfish interests." which is,,,,pretty much exactly Aster's reason for learning to fight. go see the link to read the whole thing it's neat

Happy birthday to Spartan Edward Buck!
Today is his -487th birthday!
Tumblr media
Buck is the leader of the Spartan-IV fireteam Alpha-Nine, and spouse of ONI agent Veronica Dare.
Buck was born on Draco III and lived with his parents and sister, Lucy. His mother was retired military, while his father and uncle were a dockworker and fisherman, respectively. At the age of eighteen, he stopped working for his uncle and enlisted in the UNSC Marine Corps, following in his mother's footsteps.
He was involved in many engagements during the Human-Covenant war, including the Harvest campaign. In 2530, he was part of a strike team which recovered a Sangheili survivor who was taken into custody and interrogated. It was then that the UNSC learned the Covenant's true reasons for waging war against them.
In 2545, Draco III was attacked by the Covenant but only partially glassed, preferring to use its inhabitants as hunting practice. Buck's entire remaining family was killed, and he obsessively watched the footage of Draco III's citizens being hunted and eaten. That same year, he put in for transfer to the ODSTs.
Still reeling from the attack on Draco III, he was ordered to take shore leave after his transfer. It was there that he met Veronica Dare, and the two had a short fling that ended poorly when Buck realized Dare worked for ONI.
Soon after, he was assigned as the commander of ODST squad Alpha-Nine, a position he avoided promotions to keep. Throughout his career, he continually encountered Dare agan, working under command during a mission to Belisk (where he rescued and met Sarah Palmer) and later in the Battle for Mombasa, albiet six years later.
Buck participated in the campaign on Reach, where he met NOBLE team. After Reach fell, he was assigned to UNSC Say My Name to participate in the Battle for Earth. The initial plan was to bombard the Prophet of Regret's flagship, which remained in orbit over New Mombasa. However, Dare took control of the mission, ordering them to land away from the ship. It would eventually be revealed that Dare changed the mission because she became aware of the presence of a Huragok--an organic Forerunner construct with a natural drive to repair and an invaluable wealth of knowledge about both Covenant and Forerunner technology. They would succeed in capturing the Huragok, surrendering it to ONI. After completing their campaign on Earth, Buck and Dare would rekindle their relationship and take shore leave together. At the end of their vacation, he was approached by Jun-A266, who offered him admission into the SPARTAN program, which Buck initially declined.
After the war, he returned to duty and was deployed to Draco III to combat Insurrectionists who had set up operations on the planet. During this engagement, one of his squad members, Jonathan "Rookie" Doherty, was killed. Later, Buck was once again approached by Jun to join the Spartans, adding that his squad would be offered a place, as well. After speaking to Dare, Buck accepted.
He, Romeo, and Mickey underwent augmentations, while Dutch, who was shaken by the Rookie's death, decided to retire with his wife, Gretchen.
In 2555, Alpha-Nine was assigned to a mission on Talista to combat the United Rebel Front presence there. There, Mickey would betray them, revealing that he had defected to the URF. Buck--a staunch anti-Insurrectionist--attacked Mickey, eventually apprehending him and handing him over to the UNSC. After these events, Alpha-Nine dissolved, and Buck was transferred to be a member of Spartan fireteam Osiris. He participated in the fireteam's mission to apprehend Master Chief and Blue Team, though he expressed concern about the mission's perception. Buck was present when Osiris and Blue Team learned of the threat of Cortana, the Guardians, and the Created, and changed their objective to stopping her.
After returning to Infinity, Dare once again gave him a new assignment: a mission to a URF-controlled settlement which was able to cloak itself from the Guardians. To Buck's dismay, the mission would require the help of Mickey, who was still in UNSC custody. After rescuing Romeo from the Unggoy homeworld of Balaho, he traveled to the secret Spartan training site which housed Mickey. He begrudgingly broke Mickey out of imprisonment, with the unexpected help of Dutch and Gretchen, who had quietly joined the Spartans.
With Alpha-Nine back together, the group was able to escort Dare to negotiate with the mayor of the settlement who, after witnessing the threat of the Guardians, reluctantly agreed to share the technology with the UNSC. After this mission, he slowly began to make amends with Mickey. His team restored, he accepted the offer to lead Alpha-Nine again, this time as a Spartan fireteam leader.
Back on Infinity, he and Dare met at the ship's bar, where she pressed him on their relationship, daring him to marry her. He agreed that he would, but was shocked when she immediately began making arrangements on the bar's datapad. Roland, the ship's AI, heard the exchange and offered to officiate. After a brief "ceremony", the two were married before the bar patrons, including Osiris and Alpha-Nine.
In canon (~2560), he is turning 50!
