#but it's a lame reaction with an even lamer build up to the reaction/not really showing his and bihan's relationship ruined that reaction

ik i’ve said before but it kind of (not kind of it really does) agitates me how people talk about mk12 kuai liang because it really does show that people want nothing but to baby him. like, people don’t really anything interesting to say about him besides he’s a good guy. yes he is a good guy. but is he not more? i get mk12’s story does write to be THE good guy to be bi-han’s foil, but i keep on thinking about how kuai liang was going to kill bi-han but no one really cares about discussing that as a part of kuai liang’s character in this story.
i’ve also said before that kuai liang and scorpion clash as characters and fit together well as separate characters, not as one character, but scorpion kuai liang could have been a somewhat good character and i do think that scene of him almost bashing bi-han’s head in with his chains shows potential in something interesting. kuai liang’s story is a struggle against the old lin kuei, but couldn’t it also be a struggle against himself? couldn’t it be a proper clashing of his self-control and the urge to act on only emotions?
seeing kuai liang keep a hold on himself until the reveal of their father’s death is (well not is but could’ve been) a fascinating flaw of his character. i think we should’ve actually seen a build up of his frustration towards bi-han growing over the course of the story, but keeping a cool head until he finally snapped.
but there really isn’t talk about that scene. there isn’t any care about his negative traits. there isn’t any care about him besides the want to just call him traumatized.

big baby | L.Donghyuk.
part 1 | part 2
genre: angst if you squint? + so much fluff !!!
pairing: haechan/donghyuk x reader
word count: 1.3k
warnings: none?
request: yes!! thank you bby!!
authors note: no offense but haechan makes me so soft like im not even going to lie
“Hey,” you hear Donghyuk say when you walk into the room, “bird brain.” He mutters that last part jokingly.
You roll your eyes as your best friends bursts out laughing at his own, extremely lame, insult. You and Donghyuk have a pretty playful relationship, the two of you tease each other all the time and people have often asked your group of friends if you guys hate each other because the things you say to one another can be quite hurtful.
“That was poor Donghyuk,” you say to him blankly, referring to him calling you a bird brain.
You have definitely heard worse from him, he makes fun of your eating habits or your intelligence all the time so this was nothing, and you almost always have something to say back at him but today you were not in the mood.
“You good?” Jisung asks you from his sitting position on the wooden floor of the practice room.
“Mhm,” you hum in reply making your way slowly over to where Donghyuk is sitting and plopping down next to him, leaning your head on his shoulder and closing your eyes.
You were in fact, not good at all. You had just received your test scores back, and they weren’t bad but you feel as if they didn’t reflect how hard you actually worked and studied, you had gotten into a huge fight with one of your friends at school over some stupid and irrelevant rumor. Your head was throbbing and your eyes burned slightly because you did not get one second of sleep last night because of some noisy house party on your street and you had also gotten a whole cup of hot coffee poured over you by some girl you don’t know too well when you had walked into class.
“Are you sure about that?” Jaemin asks coming to sit on the other side of you.
You nod your head slowly, feeling slightly better that you were surrounded by people you enjoy spending time with and happy that you are able to get a little rest on Donghyuks’ shoulder.
That feeling soon ends, however, when Donghyuk says, “get your head off of me ya nasty.” While moving his shoulder around causing your head to drop off of it.
You wince slightly as your head aches more from the sudden movement and you roll your eyes at your best friends smirking face. You move away from Donghyuk slightly, closer to Jaemin and rest your head on his shoulder instead.
“Really y/n?” Donghyuk says in a mocking tone, “I new you were bad but I never thought you were a cheater.” He gasped in fake shock.
On any other day you would have laughed at that and snapped something sarcastic right back at him however today you didn’t even react.
“What is up with you today?” Donghyuk questions you, still pressing your buttons wanting a reaction.
“Nothing,” you mutter not opening your eyes.
“Okay,” you can feel the smirk on Donghyuks’ face, “in that case, you got your test results back today right?” He asks, “did you fail like I said you would?”
“Stop,” you warn your best friend.
“Come on y/n,” he chuckles, “it’s okay, not everyone can be as clever as me.”
“Please, Donghyuk,” you groan scrunching your eyes shut tighter, “I can’t do this today.”
All of Donghyuks’ talking was creating a bigger headache behind your eyes, you had come over to visit your friends hoping to get cheered up and Donghyuk normally listens to you when you ask him to stop with the teasing but today he wasn’t giving up.
“Stop being a baby,” he chuckles, “you big baby.”
The last insult was lamer than the one he used when you first walked into the room but it was enough to push you over the edge. You lip begins to quiver as you stand up grabbing your bag.
“I’m going to go home,” you whisper and feel a single salty tear run down your face, “this was fun guys, thanks.” You mutter turning to walk out the room.
“y/n?” Your best friend shoots up when he sees the tears in your eyes.
You don’t stop walking and carry on, walking straight out of the building not looking back when you hear Donghyuk calling for you to wait. After a while you hear footsteps run up behind you and glance to the side with wet eyes to see your best friend walking next to you looking at you with concerned eyes. You look back at the pathway you are walking on ignoring all Donghyuks questions.
You eventually walk into your house and Donghyuk follows you knowing the place well because he always comes over uninvited to hang out.
“Talk to me y/n, please.” He sighs out in frustration.
You turn around and face him, tears still falling from your eyes, “I asked you to stop.” You whimper.
Donghyuks’ face falls at your sad expression and cracking voice. He takes a step towards to you and waits to see if you will let him get closer, you don’t move so he walks up to you and places one of his hands in your hair.
“I am so sorry.” He says sincerely looking into your watery eyes.
You look down and swallow a sob, “I had such a bad day today and all I wanted was some comfort but you had to tease me again.”
Donghyuk sighs deeply and brings his arm that isn’t occupied with your hair to wrap around your waist and pull you into his body so your head is buried in his neck. His arm that is around your waist holds you tightly while his other hand carries on stroking your hair softly.
“I didn’t know baby,” he sighs, he only uses pet names when the two of your are being serious with each other.
You cry into his neck while he just holds you for a few moments running his fingers continuously through your hair trying to calm you down, and the whole time Donghyuk doesn’t stop whispering apologies into your ear.
You pull your head away after a while still staying in his arms and see the neckline of your best friends shirt is soaking wet from your tears, you look into his eyes and frown a little still feeling sad.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Donghyuk asks softly moving the hand in your hair down so that he his able to wrap both arms around your waist.
You nod and he rubs you lower back softly, “okay.”
The two of you walk up to your room and climb onto your bed, Donghyuk leans his back against your headboard and pulls you down so your head is laying in his lap. His hand move into your hair once again and he begins to scratch your scalp softly while his fingers run through your hair comfortingly.
You tell him everything, about the house party and no sleep, about the hot coffee on your skin, about the fight with your friend and lastly about your test scores. When Donghyuk hears about your test scores he removes his hand from your hair and places both of his hands on your shoulders instead and pulls you into his chest.
“I am so sorry y/n,” he apologizes, “I should have never said those things.” He says referring to the comments he made about your tests.
“It’s alright, I guess.” You sigh looking into his eyes and smiling.
“No, it’s not.” He protests, “You needed me and I just made fun of you instead.”
He looks at the wall in front of him and you know that he is scolding himself in his mind.
“You deserve a better friend.” He mutters quietly.
“No,” you say to him and pulling his chin towards you so that he is looking at you, “don’t think like that, you just need to listen to me,” you chuckle.
“I really am sorry y/n.” Donghyuk apologizes again.
“I know,” you smile up at him, “it’s okay.”
Donghyuk sighs again and pushes your head down so that it is resting on his chest again, he then leaves a lingering kiss on the top of your head.
You spend the rest of the day cuddled up with Donghyuk talking your worries away.

Kimura Subaru Interview for Animage Magazine
This interview was taken from Tokuma Shoten’s Animage maganize vol.475, if possible, make sure to support them by buying it.
Tumblr media
- The CDs have been selling out, you can say this is a big topic.
Kimura: I am amazed by the size of the response. I felt that someday this project would become big but I thought it would have grown slowly and bit by bit. I believe that hip-hop as a genre may be unexpectedly easy for everyone to listen. One of the reasons may be that the songs of this project (production), “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-” in particular, have word choice that is similar to anime songs of the past.
- The 1st LIVE held at Animated Girls Festival (AGF) was a great success.
Kimura: It was fun! Long before I was a professional, I was doing rap live at late night clubs. At that time I would shout, “Let’s tear it up!” with a little ferocity and tension. As for now when I’m on stage as a voice actor I would say “Thank you, everyone!” with tension; I challenged myself with seeking the fun between both. After all, by the end of the live I was a “Let’s tear it up!” kind of tension, and when it came time to sing Ichiro’s solo song “Ore ga Ichiro” my mood was under the disco ball (laughs).
- It seems that, Kimura-san, you wrote the lyrics to “Ore ga Ichiro” yourself.
Kimura: With the character introduction, I wanted the lyrics to include the expression of resolve to “go forward”. The truth is I didn’t even come up with the title until the end of recording. Jiro’s song “Sensenfukoku” and Saburo’s song “New Star” titles were already decided, they were in katakana and English. I suddenly decided that Ichiro’s song title should be in kanji because I thought it would be nice for the three brothers to have different types of writing. Somehow I ended up asking “Is ‘Ore ga Ichiro’ ok?” and the staff around me replied with “Lame!” (laughs). At the start, everyone laughed until eventually they said “It’s lame yet kinda cool, no?” and that’s how the decision came to be.
- Your pseudonym when writing lyrics is “Cola Bintarou”; what is the reason behind the name?
Kimura: I thought it would be interesting if I wrote the lyrics on the down low. So I asked my teacher Tomokazu Seki-san for his thoughts and that’s how this name came to be. I like cola so that was the origin of the name. When I told the staff about this name they said it was even lamer than “Ore ga Ichiro” (laughs). But “Bin-san” is pretty easy to call out so maybe it would also be “lame yet kinda cool” so I decided to use the name officially. I had planned to keep it hidden for a while, but when Seki-san called me out on his radio show I was shocked (laughs). Still, I was glad that it was my teacher’s radio show that revealed the name he gave me.
- The four teams showed their raps in the CD dramas. I heard that Kimura-san wrote for all 12 characters.
Kimura: I was very honored for the opportunity. At the beginning I would write the lyrics in a coffee shop but I eventually came to a standstill. So I changed my mood and started writing by the banks of the Sumida River and the ideas just kept coming. I eventually wrote everything there. There were 20 different track (song played in the background of the rap) patterns, and I had to decide which character got which track.
- Throughout the whole production I felt that Kimura-san had a large part.
Kimura: No, I did no such thing. The voice actor’s strength is the largest factor. For example, Shirai Yuusuke-san who voices Amemura Ramuda was scripted to have a “high speed rap”. I wrote a high speed rap that I thought was too fast and a bit of a stretch… But Shirai-san decided to knock it out of the park. Yet, Jinguji Jakurai’s voice actor Hayami Show-san, before recording, said “Suba-chan-sensei please help!”. To which I answered “Let’s slowly take our time to record the rap part.” But when we started to record, it was OK’d in one take. I was deeply moved by the fact that [he] practiced rap for quite some time for this. In this project, there are many things that I have to learn - things like techniques as a voice actor, how to face your senior’s work, etc.
- What is the strength of voice actors that do rap?
Kimura: It’s the part of “word building”. Because their recitation is good, I believe that whatever they say will reach those that listen to it. Everyone is very good at putting emotion behind their words. Among the images that came from the AGF stage, the rapper UZI-san commented, “A voice actor’s rap holds a different power”. If that’s what a pro believes, then maybe there is a larger meaning for voice actors to do rap. When I read that comment I felt obliged to do a small fist pump.
- What are your future ambitions?
Kimura: Recently, there are many people who taunts how “even the idols are doing rap ” in hip-hop lyrics. Perhaps, we feel like we have to be wary and protect our territory from the idols entering. Someday I hope that a professional rapper will get annoyed by Hypnosis Mic and “even voice actors and 2D are doing rap” and create a diss track. That would be very fun (laughs).
- Now a final message to the readers.
Kimura: Hypnosis Mic is a hip-hop content far from what everyone imagined. Don’t be afraid to take a step and jump in. It’s not wrong to get addicted. There is also intense male drama. By all means, dive into the world of  Hypnosis Mic!

Subaru Comment (on Buster Bros!!!)
My little brothers are too cute feat. Onii-chan
The Yamada brothers don’t have parents. Their background is of three brothers that have always lived together. The brother’s unshakable bond is the team’s strength. Jiro and Saburo love Ichiro, they [always] question who does Ichiro like better. The younger brothers are always fighting, just like how brothers are, and Ichiro always has to tell them “Don’t fight”, but inside it makes him really happy. This team’s hip-hop style is a bit, if I had to say, like “my little brothers are too cute feat. Onii-chan”, isn’t it (laughs)? With a little bit of lame word choice the feeling of hip-hop increases.
AGF 2017 Hypnosis Mic 1st LIVE
2017/11/14 @Ikebukuro Sunshine Fountain Square
The 1st LIVE was a blast! On stage were Yamada Ichiro (Kimura Subaru), Yamada Jiro (Ishiya Haruki), Yamada Saburo (Amasaki Kouhei), Aohitsugi Samatoki (Asanuma Shintaro), Jinguji Jakurai (Hayami Show), and Amemura Ramuda (Shirai Yuusuke). There the anthem song “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-” and the Yamada brother’s three solo songs were performed along with a drama reading and rap battle.
Subaru Comment (on AGF 2017)
What was that change in reaction!
During the live, the audience’s reactions changed. In the beginning, they were keeping the penlights and the fans in their bags, but in the end they were waving their hands up and down with me all hyped. It was really fun.
