been thinking of Loki as a vengeful ghost/demon that tries to kill Thor after dying on Jotunheim except instead of killing Thor straightup Thor's on a quest following a trail of weird clues and strange happenings across multiple realms sort of? so Loki is just leading him around not showing himself but very much heartbroken in the distance about how Thor just 'moved on'. Meanwhile on Thor's end it's very evident in how Thor handles quests once Loki is gone that he still follows all the advice and suggestions Loki made, and tries to consider what Loki would have done when he does things.
#im not writing it because i have too many works in progress already but do you see my vision#do you understand the vibe i am going for#tragic death Loki and Thor who never processed Loki's death beyond 'he's not here right now'#and this is maybe like. way after Loki's death. like at least a century later so no Thor doesn't immediately suspect anything#is it strange that he's witnessed multiple similar occurrences and connecting clues across multiple realms like they're for him?#yes.#but he thinks he's being so suave and detective about solving this mystery and suspects a powerful malicious demon figure to be behind it#not his dead brother who he feels wholly responsible for having died since he was the one that dragged them to Jotunheim for fun#Loki who died confused and resentful about so many things and upon realizing he's Not Exactly Stayed Dead deciding he was abandoned#because no one returned for his body but they also never explained anything to him which meant he had to seek answers himself AFTER HE DIED#reasonable to say he wasn't happy about it and isn't out to hurt random strangers#but Thor and Asgard?#he has a vendetta and he has it planned out so neatly#sans the part where he actually. kills Thor. because he only thinks he wants that#he would do it too if Thor didn't get reasonable about Loki wanting revenge at the end#'when did Thor get mature' Loki wonders bitterly. like it's such a mystery

Just some WIPS of refs for my other cuphead ocs! I have more than just these 3, but these are the most developed so far
We have CC (Cookies and Cream), Cass (Cassie), and Sprite!
These are just rough colors for each of them atm, but I will be giving them cleaned up sketches in the future
The idea for Cass being a sunflower with hair clips actually came from a concept that @whosectype made for me a while back when they were helping me with the design for Sammy! so tysm again Ectype for letting me use that to make her 💕
And @cupid-shortcake helped with CC's outfit/colors as well! So thanks to you too for helping me there

Revamping what started this whole AU..
Factory Reset In Progress
(Reminder that Factory Reset is/was a collaborative effort between me, @fandomandangstlover , @duckapus , and several anons on Engie's (fandomandangstlover) blog! Credit and huge thanks to everyone who pitched in that day to help make this AU what it is now!)

This isn't that huge because I'm just making major changes. Everything else is left alone, mostly because I see no need to change it. But ideas and suggestions are always welcome!
Efficiency Arc
A reminder that this is the first arc that kicks off the AU, and this is pre-character development for nearly every character. That, and the Higher-Ups/Admins/Code World have not been introduced. This revamp, however, is being made with the new world building we have!
The beginning of this Arc is relatively the same, with SMG4 being shown as more spacey, almost like he's in a trance. A change, though, is that some scenes are shown with SMG3 experiencing similar things, being spacey, and generally having a hard time focusing. When the two are together and like this, they work together scarily well, letting everyone know something wrong.
Like the old arc, it goes from 0 to 100 incredibly fast with The Coding where both SMG4 and SMG3 are reset. A big change, though, would be showing just how different they are now. They work together absolutely flawlessly, rarely voice any complaints, and are generally very distrustful of the others.
In Please Wake Up, stuff is massively changed. SMG1 and SMG2 don't know what's wrong with 3&4 this time around, but they are able to deduce that it's almost like they've been reset. But they do tell the gang their best bet of figuring out what's went wrong is by finding either 4 or 3's Pod.
The WOTFI goes the same, except we would get to see a scene of Mario meeting with Domain (but at the moment he doesn't know his name) after finding 3's Pod. Mario explains everything (he's shitting bricks the whole time) and we don't get Domain's answer, except for his eyes narrowing.
Of course, come when everyone looks lost in the battle, Mario arrives with the bow and arrows Domain and Forum gave him to give Singularity its just deserts. It's code crumbles away, but a few stray pieces manage to hide away and sneak their way back to the Pods..
There'd be a lot of emphasis on just how scary this is for everyone because this is completely different from everything that's happened, and it's giving Mario and Meggy some serious flashbacks to the Lawsuit Arc when everyone didn't remember them.
This also gives time for SMG4 to reflect once he's been freed, and he realizes how badly he's been treating Mario, and he decides that he needs to start being a better friend before something similar happens again.
When Mario gets asked how he managed to get that bow & arrow, he says the "Mario recolor in 3's Pod gave it to me-a!" Everyone goes to investigate, Domain isn't present. Everyone's very confused, but.. decide that, presently, its not something they should worry about.
As they leave, we get a full look at Domain, who only crosses his arms with a stoic face.
New Hope Arc
The arc that changes the most. There's still tons of aftereffects from Singularity's rampage, SMG4 and SMG3 being the most harmed. Their code is still incredibly fried and damaged, and SMG1&2 are clueless on this and how long it'll take for them to recover.
There's a lot of focus on recovery in their arc, and Lil Coding doesn't get introduced as early as he did last time. It's midway through the arc that he does, and it's because 4&3's code has gotten to the point where he actually needs to step up and intervene. Everyone is understandably suspicious, but the Code Manifestation simply does the code repairs and leaves as soon as he can.
It always bothered me how quickly everyone grew to trust Lil Coding, so it takes a while longer for them to come around to him. LC takes most of the initiative, coming around and helping his SMGs code and repairing it. It takes a while, but they do slowly come around.
Singularity hiding in Lil Coding's own code stays the same, and him progressively getting weaker as it takes his own code as well. The overflow command happens just the same, with Singularity coming back.
The Burden Arc
It's actually Lil Coding this time that says they need to go to the Pods, with him saying that this is something far out of his control and permission range, and they need the Admins. Everyone is confused (save for Mario), but they head to the Pods. There, we finally get the proper introduction of two of the three Admins for SM64: Domain and Forum.
We get some lore from them, them explaining that they're the Admins of 3&4 along with what Lil Coding is. Not everything is explained, of course, but we do get what's relevant and necessary to the plot.
Lil Coding and Singularity being linked stays the same, and of course, not wanting Lil Coding to end up dying, everyone looks for a way to separate them. Domain and Forum could do this, but they don't because remember. This is before all of the chatacter development everyone has had, so they're nowhere near as attached as they are now.
Eventually, Lil Coding does his thing to go and get rid of Singularity, but this time, instead of the whole stone statue thing, he's just in an indefinite power down mode until he heals. The electricity overload he does nearly completely fries his own code, but it does end up killing Singularity.
I think this is a good starting point for Domain and Forum's actual character development and to also plant the seeds of them being the SMG Prototypes. They are both incredibly confused by how upset everyone is and why they feel like something is repeating with how everyone's acting. So they decide to help out and speed up Lil Coding's recovery. I'll say that this is the start of their actual relationship with everyone.

nah star trek picard really looked me in the face and told me to take my gay ass to hell lmao. like you’re telling me after making it through a season while buckling under grief and immense trauma they choose each other, get one onscreen kiss and dassit? the most integral and stable parts (maybe. they could’ve broken up the second they left guinans bar in the s2 finale for all i know) of their entire relationship happened between seasons? off-fucking-screen?!? yeah this show ain’t fucking serious. at all. they were together (how long? no one fucking knows!) and i ain’t even get to see that? sick and twisted lmao. didn’t even try. didn’t even pretend to try. teased seven and raffi’s relationship for a season and a half only to wrap shit up in 30 seconds—what happened to privacy. why was worf even in that scene like he couldn’t take a step back? why were they trying to present it as a jokey joke too like star trek picard what’s funny? nothing exactly. they really said here damn scram lol?????
i just. an offscreen breakup that is still a mystery because ????? because nothing. it’s not like they care so why not just get it over with in episode 1? what was the goal here? a breakup which was telegraphed yet dragged out for no discernible reason. biggest waste of time since idk when. and all this fast tracking time jumping shit they keep doing with their relationship is so transparent and boring. just zero investment. why are they allergic to telling coherent stories! and also joy!

I'm about to eat for the first time other than yogurts today 🥹
#im not cut out for working#and i have to do it all again at 5am 😭#i got to hide out in a residents room and help her untangle yarn though 😂 she was 90 and very there mentally#(alao really progressive 🥳🥰)#she told my work partner about her life while i undid knots#also*#i probably squeezed out an hour of hour thirty until my instructor found us#but she didn't yell or anything and was please to see us listening to/talking with the residents#she stayed in the room for probably 15 minutes talking with her too#other than that i fed a resident and got my hand drooled on (didnt freak out or immediately leave to wash my hands 🥳 )#sat in to help with bingo...got talked into dancing ymca and the cha cha slide with the lady operating the bingo for them 😂#almost all of us cnas were caught dancing by another who walked by laughing before joining#and i got told i couldn't “drive” bec i accidentally knocked a wheelchair into another while trying to get someone into the dining room 😭#my first resident was really sweet though and told the lady i was “learning” 🥹💕 then she told me to stay away from her “grouchy table” 😂#anywaysss i got off at around 5 and the hours have slipped by already 🥴#idk how people work 5 days in a row full time or at all really#i miss my mom 😭#also i feel really incompetent and a little like a burden to nurses not too happy to have students around 🫠#but overall they're really nice. just a bit of the 'duhhh' tones / answers when we ask shit 😂
