To All The Boys I've Written About Before - Beige Flags
In my never-ending quest to make things that appeal only to me, here's a little exercise for all the boys in my arsenal.
Angel Torres will always help you out around the house, no question about that, but boy will he act like he's a hero for simply loading the dishwasher. I'm talking wiping his brow every time you walk into the kitchen, grunting when he puts a plate on the drying rack. You offer to help but he flat out refuses, and will probably say some shit like "My hands look like this [soapy] so yours can look like that [slightly dirty from repotting your plants]."
Jesse Pinkman will call you "dude" until the end of time. It doesn't matter what stage of your relationship you are currently in, you will always and forever be "dude" to him. "Yo dude, do you want to grab Wendy's on the way home?""Dude, you look pretty today." You could be at the alter and it would be a "Dude, I do." He also 100% buys in to the "glasses make you smarter" myth.
Lemon bought himself a label-maker, and that man LOVES makin' labels. All the drawers in your flat are labeled, so are the spices (even if they already have labels), he labels which food belongs to who, all the wires/cables have a label for what kind of wire/cable they are and what they're for. You told him that you could probably remember which clear jar holds the salt and which holds the ginger-snaps, so he made the label "fuck off" and stuck it to your forehead.
Tangerine refuses to call menu items by their proper names, especially if they're stupid. A matcha latte is "green foamy shit, you know." If the dish is named after someone, this chicken shop you frequent has an Ike's Famous Wings Bowl, he will call it "that bloke's chicken thing, the one with all the spices and shit on it." The worst was when he wanted to order the Foxx on the Roxx Boxx from TGI Fridays (yes that's the spelling, I looked it up), he straight up would not say its name, he just kept pointing at the menu and saying "fucking- this one."
Harvey SDV, sweet man that he is, will always sign off his text messages. It doesn't matter how long or short the message is. There's the standard "darling, I'm running a little bit late, would you like me to pick up something for dinner? Dr H" but there's also the "okay honey (: Dr H" or the "[insert picture of flower] Dr H". You've tried to explain to him that you know that it's him, that he doesn't need to sign off every time he messages you, but it's no use.
Andrew Neiman loves to collect random bits of niche trivia, but will straight up forget incredibly basic things. You two were out at a live music venue, sipping on your tasty little beverages, and he'll just bust out something about the similarities between jazz and Indian music, and while he's expanding on the influence of Ravi Shankar on Coltrane, he'll flip through the menu in front of him and ask you what margarine is.
Carmen Berzatto, common knowledge at this point, always keeps a book on him, which on its own is a very good thing. It keeps him from getting bored, you think it makes him look smart, it's a win by all accounts. But, save for when he's at work, he will whip that book out whenever there's any sort of lull in a conversation or if he's not physically doing something. You were talking to him about weekend plans, and he'll be listening intently because he's a good boyfriend who cares about your thoughts, but as soon as you go quiet to turn around to grab something he's flipping open his copy of The Reivers to quickly read a sentence.
Randal Graves loves to fake propose at restaurants for free shit. He makes a big thing out of it, will pull you aside before you enter Olive Garden and show you the tiny plastic ring he's used about three times already and whisper about the ruse he's about to pull, and all you can do is nod along with him. He's gotten more elaborate each time, from the basic garden-variety proposal, to putting it in your water, to asking to have it put in your Chipotle burrito (you had nearly swallowed it that time), managing to score a few free desserts and, at one point, a bottle of cheapo champagne that he got so incredibly slurshed on at home.
Warren Rojas has this game he likes to play whenever you two go to bars or nightclubs where he will pretend like you two don't know each other just so he can hit on you in the most cheesy ways known to man. Asking to buy you a drink, dumb pick-up lines, saying shit like "My name is Warren, but you can call me anytime." It's so incredibly dumb and he gets the biggest kick out of it. One time when you and Eddie were having a conversation at a party he totally pulled out the "Is this guy bothering you, babe?" He thinks he's so funny.
Jimmy Bartlett, whenever you two are cuddling, will set a timer so he knows when to switch from big spoon to little spoon. He'll bring up the egg timer from the kitchen and set it to 20 minutes before he joins you on his bed. You'll be half asleep after a long shift from work with his head buried in the back of your neck, and the next thing you know he's shuffling around while tiny beeps are sounding and he's somehow got your arms around him before you even realize what's happening, before drifting off again. He says it's only fair.
Miguel O'Hara is like a big dog with the temperament of a house cat; thinks he takes up less space than he does and always at least slightly grumpy. He'll get confused when he goes to put on a sweater that was originally yours (the communal wardrobe holds no prisoners) and finds it tight around his biceps. He knocks his forehead on low doorways constantly, you've taken to shouting 'duck' whenever you see him about to go through one. Watching movies on the couch with him, during a rare moment of peace, can be an ordeal because he always wants to lie down on top of you and you don't have the heart to tell him that he's crushing your lungs.

On the Mend. Part 3
Harry Potter AU
Link to Part 2
Pairings: Regulus Black x Reader
Rating: M- later chapters
Song at the beginning: “Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off” by Panic! At the Disco
_____
I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie, you had me
Girl, I was it, look past the sweat, a better love deserving of Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat? No, no, no, you know it will always just be me
You weren't sure how far you had been walking when you stopped. Stopping, you looked around to try and figure out just where you had gone to. You were at least a mile from home and at the moment that was okay. Upon returning home you would have to face Regulus. There was no way around it.
The sensible side of your brain told you that this was for the best if not for yourself then for Renee. She deserved to have Regulus in her life and whether you wanted to admit it or not so did you. You still loved him even though he hurt you more than you cared to admit.
He was trying to apologize and say that he was wrong...that has to count for something.
The voice in your heart was a lot different than the one in your brain that wanted Regulus’ balls in a jar. You kept muttering your daughter’s name and “I’m a better person” over and over. Maybe Regulus meant it when he said had he known that you were pregnant that he would have said no to his parents. It wasn’t like you could hop in a time machine and go find out.
The question that existed now was would you ever be able to trust him? Your sensible side said, “Give the poor boy a chance; he almost cried. Regulus Black doesn’t cry.”
“This is going to be messy.”
You muttered before turning and heading back in the direction of home. At least you had Remus and Sirius in your corner. They wouldn’t let anything horrible happen to you, Sirius especially. He was the one that wanted to go after his brother when you told him that you were pregnant to begin with and shake his brother until the boy came to his senses.
Walking back into the house, Remus looked up from the book that he was reading. His expression went from blissfully relaxed to worried brother as he stood up.
“Are you alright? We were worried about you.”
You nodded, taking off your coat.
“Sorry, I had to get some air.”
Remus nodded, pulling you into a hug.
“If he starts shit, I will politely rip his lungs out at the full moon. All that you have to do is ask.”
You leaned back and met Remus’ gentle eyes. The two of you instantly burst into fits of giggles.
“I’ll keep that in mind. We have an order meeting, right?”
Remus nodded before sitting back down and returning to his book. He was beginning to wonder why they were even called meetings anymore. The order had nearly been depleted. Tonight it was just going to be Dorcas, Marlene, Dumbledore, and (making a rare appearance) Minerva McGonagall.
“Everyone should be here soon.”
You took a breath before turning and going to the sitting room. Stopping in the doorway, you couldn’t help but smile seeing Regulus sitting on the floor with Renee. The little girl had torn out all of the pieces of her toy kitchen that Remus had bought her for her birthday and was handing Regulus random plastic dishes and food items. He had a small rare smile on his face as he neatly put everything in little stacks.
Renee’s attention had drifted over to you before eagerly holding her hands up and squealing “mama.” Regulus’ head snapped in your direction before quickly standing up.
“I’ll just take her so you two can talk.”
Sirius, who you hadn’t even noticed was in the room, said before picking Renee up and leaving the room. The last thing that he really wanted was for either Renee or himself to witness this conversation.
“Can we talk? Please?”
Regulus asked. He kept his tone smooth and gentle. Regulus knew that if he talked the least bit harshly, he would get nowhere.
You, meanwhile, started muttering Renee’s name over and over in your mind. This had to be for your daughter. You had to put the pain of the break up, the pain of reading Regulus’ and fruit salad lady’s wedding announcement in the Daily Prophet, and any other hurt that affected you on the back burner.
“Sure, come upstairs with me. I don’t want anyone listening.”
Regulus followed you up the stairs into what had to be your bedroom.
“Close the door.”
You said, softly before taking your wand out and putting a silencing charm on the room. Regulus waited until you turned back to him to speak.
“Y/n, what do I have to do? I’ve apologized. I was an ignorant teenager...a stupid git of a teenager. Better yet...here”
Regulus reached into the pocket of his suit jacket and produced a folded up sheet of paper. You frowned and took it from him.
“What’s this?”
“The proof that you need that I’m a free man.”
You unfolded the paper that was clearly his divorce decree from Ambrosia. Blinking a few times you folded the paper up and handed it back to him.
“Congratulations, I guess?”
Regulus didn’t expect much of a reaction to that so he decided to go with plan B.
“You were right. I was a coward for not standing up to them. That is going to change. I’ve already asked mother to meet us for lunch tomorrow. I want you to go with me because I’m telling her everything. If she wants to blast me off of the family tapestry then I am fine with it. You know my father is dead, right?”
You nodded, unsure of how to react to what Regulus said. The fact that he was willing to take the risk of being burnt off of the Black family tapestry said a lot! If he didn’t care, you doubted he would be willing to tell Walburga everything.
“Yeah, I heard about that. You do realize that this isn’t going to end well for you.”
Regulus shrugged as he stepped closer to you. His stormy eyes were locked on yours looking for any sign that you wanted him to stop.
“It doesn’t matter.”
He reached down and took your hand in his. You didn’t pull away this time. Instead, you stood enjoying the feeling of his skin on yours as you had earlier.
Regulus’ eyes rolled back up from your joined hands.
“All that matters is this...you, me, and our baby. You can trust me. I’m not going anywhere.”
Regulus tilted your face up to his before leaning down and kissing you softly.
“All that I am asking for is a chance...a second chance. This time there won’t be any hiding.”
Regulus was relieved when you didn’t kick him in the shins. You stood with your hand still wrapped around his.
“Reggie, I…”
Regulus smiled.
“Did I tell you that you are the only one that I let call me that? I’ve missed hearing it. What do I have to do?”
You were silent for a few moments.
“That was an honest apology. Believe it or not, I could always tell when you were lying. That wasn’t a lie. I never really told anyone this and I don’t think that I even wanted to admit it to myself...I knew that you didn’t want to marry her. I could see it in your eyes.”
Regulus nodded. Not wanting to marry Ambrosia was putting things lightly. His father almost had to drag him out of the house. Regulus had spent the whole morning sobbing like a baby after drinking the whole previous night away. Throughout the wedding, Ambrosia was lucky that Regulus didn’t throw up on her. He instead spent the reception throwing up in the bushes with Evan shaking his head like a disapproving mother bird.
“No, I didn’t want to. You should have seen the spoiled brat that I was the whole time. May I ask you a question?”
“Sure.”
You replied, softly. You were nervous about what was about to come out of his mouth. What if it was a question that you didn’t want to face? Would you be able to answer it? You weren’t sure.
Regulus frowned.
“Did you know that you were pregnant when we broke up?”
You motioned to the bed. The two of you should probably sit down for this conversation.
“No, I didn’t know then. I didn’t find out until a few weeks after. I didn’t tell anyone for a while either...like 5 months later…it was after James and Lily died.”
Regulus’ hand wrapped around yours.
“I wanted to come to you after I heard they were killed. Voldemort had me out of the country at that particular time. I was left out of the loop on a lot of things at that particular time. Between you and me, I thought that prophecy was a bunch of crap. Hell, everything at that particular time was a bunch of crap.”
“I’m relieved to hear that come out of your mouth. You have no idea how much I worried anytime you went on some mission. Regulus, I want to love you again but it's going to take some time.”
Regulus slid off of the bed to kneel in front of you. His hand reached up to cup your cheek.
“I’ll give you anything that you want. I’m not kidding about going to face my mother tomorrow. I want you to come with me to see it. It's going to be a shit show but it will be well worth it. Would it be obnoxious to ask for a kiss?”
Both of you smiled at that question. It was the question that totally set you off before. Now, it was different.
You still had your reservations about renewing the relationship but Regulus’ genuine demeanor was soothing.
“I think that would be alright.”
You said before leaning down and kissing Regulus softly. He didn’t move to deepen the kiss or make you feel like you had to do more other than a closed mouth kiss. That didn’t mean that Regulus didn’t want to wrap his arms around you to show the passion that he felt for you. That would take time and it didn’t matter how much Regulus didn’t want to wait...it was time to be patient. He had to be the man that you needed.
A knock on the door made Regulus and yourself pull apart quickly. You quickly took the silencing charm off of the room.
“Yes?”
You called out. Sirius’ voice came from the other side.
“The meeting is starting. I’m sorry to interrupt whatever is going on in there.”
Regulus gave you an annoyed expression before getting up and opening the door. Sirius stood with a worried expression on his face that quickly turned to relief.
“Oh thank Merlin. You both have your clothes on.”
Sirius was afraid that he was going to come upstairs and find Regulus and yourself snogging. It wasn’t that he didn’t expect it to happen eventually but it didn’t need to happen too quickly. The last thing that Sirius wanted was for you to go through another hell-like breakup. He didn’t mind picking up the pieces because that’s what best friends did for one another. Sirius didn’t want to see you or Regulus, for that matter, hurt.
“Just what did you think that we were doing?”
Regulus questioned. Sirius smirked.
“Well...put 2 and 2 together would you?”
You stood up quickly.
“You don’t have to worry about that, Sirius.”
Sirius frowned.
“So, you two aren’t getting back together.”
You fought the urge to chuckle at the expression of sadness on Sirius’ face. It was as if Sirius was some child wanting to make sure his parents were good after a fight.
“Yes, we are getting back together but we aren’t doing anything too quickly.”
Sirius looked relieved. This was probably the most mature and safe way to handle the situation. Granted, Sirius never did anything slow or safe.
“Cool. Slow is good.”
The moment that you walked into the dining room with Regulus behind you, Dorcas immediately looked panicked.
“Why is Regulus here? I think he came to the wrong meeting with the wrong bunch of people.”
Regulus rolled his eyes as Dumbledore came in.
“Ms. Meadowes, Regulus is on our side now.”
Dorcas didn’t look the least bit comfortable having a former death eater in the same room as her. She wrapped her arms around Renee, who was sitting on her lap playing with her necklace. Renee turned her attention to Regulus and yourself.
“Mama, dada!”
Dorcas looked down at the baby before her dark eyes rolled up to your face.
“No! I thought that she was Sirius’.”
Dorcas looked down at the baby on her lap before gawking back up at Regulus. How had she not seen it? Renee resembled her father too much for comfort. Renee had his eyes, the same dark curls, and that same haughty expression that both Regulus and Sirius wore so well.
Sirius, meanwhile, looked disturbed.
“What? I don’t think that I would be calling myself her uncle if I was her father? What is this some fucked up version of Hamlet?”
Regulus went over to Dorcas and took Renee from her with a scowl on his face.
“Now we know the speed of stupid.”
He commented. Dorcas was out of her chair with her wand out ready to hex the boy in front of her. Regulus smirked.
“You’re really going to hex me with my daughter in my arms? Do you really want to go there?”
You quickly wedged yourself between the two.
“Dorcas, no. Regulus, please.”
Dorcas sat back down as you followed Regulus back to the empty seats across the table.
“When did this happen? You two as a couple...I thought that you were married to that Parkinson girl?”
You sighed, the last thing that you really wanted to do was tell everyone about what had happened in your life.
“He was.”
“That didn’t mean that I wanted to be. We’re divorced now.”
Regulus clarified. Dorcas was still frowning.
“So you knock up Y/n...I’m confused.”
You knew that Dorcas was about to go into protective best-friend mode.
“Dorcas, do you remember that day that you caught him staring at me?”
Dorcas’ mouth dropped.
“So you two have been having some affair that long?”
“Dorcas, they split up because our mother forced the arranged marriage with Ambrosia. Y/n was pregnant then. We, as in Remus, Y/n, and myself decided to keep the truth to ourselves because well...it was a fucked up situation. Now, Regulus is in on the know and they are working on their problems. Did I sum it up?”
Sirius questioned. You nodded as Sirius went back to the shot of whiskey in front of him as Dorcas put a hand over her face.
“Oh my god, it all makes sense! This explains that horrible depression that you went through before you had Renee. How did I not see it?”
“We kept things secret because of his family.”
You supplied. Dorcas was quiet for a moment. This was the last thing that she ever expected to happen. She thought that when she told you to stay away from Regulus you would actually listen...not run off and have a baby with him.
“Well, what about now? I mean, isn’t your mother still alive?”
Regulus nodded.
“I’m telling her tomorrow and she will either have to accept it or not. It's simple.”
Dorcas sat looking between Regulus and yourself for a few moments.
“Nothing with your pureblood Voldemort supporting families is simple.”
Had Regulus not been holding his daughter, he would have hexed Dorcas. He was thankful that Renee was trying to go to sleep against his chest. If he had not been holding her, Dorcas Meadowes would be hurting.
“You’ve got to get control on your temper. Things with Y/n is tense enough as it is. If you go hexing her stupid friend, you might as well kiss having your woman goodbye.”
Regulus thought before swallowing his rage.
“Opinions are like assholes, Meadowes.”
Remus has sat quietly observing the whole situation. He decided it was time to change the topic before things went way out of hand.
“So Dorcas, I heard that you were seeing Anthony Harwood.”
Regulus’ eyes flickered up hearing Anthony’s name. That was the little punk in Hufflepuff that followed you around like some lovesick puppy. It was only after Regulus hexed him a few time in a dark hallway did Anthony get the picture to fuck off and leave the Slytherin’s lover alone.
Dorcas rolled her eyes.
“I am. He was supposed to come but he didn’t show up.”
Regulus smirked.
“Well, it is dark outside. Maybe he thinks he’s asleep and is lost somewhere?”
Dorcas’ eyes turned to Regulus.
“You’re still an asshole, I see.”
“And I thought that you were a lesbian?”
Dorcas jumped up.
“I am bisexual you little shit!”
Renee grinned.
“Shit!”
She squealed happily before clapping her little hands. Sirius almost snorted whiskey out of his nose while Regulus blinked down at his daughter. You quickly jumped up.
“Okay, that is enough! Renee knows enough bad words for this week. Reggie, we need to get her in bed.”
The next afternoon, you followed Regulus down a street crowded with muggles. Your hand was locked in his as he held Renee in his other arm.
“I’m surprised that your mother agreed to meet you at a muggle place.”
Regulus gave you a small grin.
“What mother doesn’t know won’t hurt her. She won’t be as inclined to throw such a tantrum with people all around her.”
The moment that the two of you stepped into the restaurant your eyes immediately met Walburga who was seated by none other than freaking Ambrosia Parkinson. Both women’s mouths dropped the moment that they saw you with Regulus and the baby in his arms.
Regulus, meanwhile, was muttering “fuck” under his breath. The last thing that he expected was for Ambrosia to be there. When he spoke to Walburga the day before, Regulus made it clear that he wanted to see his mother only.
“Regulus, what is going on?”
Walburga snapped. Regulus tightened his hold on both your hand and Renee.
“Mum, I’m sure that you remember Y/n Potter. She is the woman that I am in love with and this is our daughter, Renee.”

Plot - Will and Nico taking care of Annabeth and Percy's kids.
Warnings - No gory mentions of blood, but glass getting stuck in a hand (IDK how exactly to put it, but you know when a glass shard gets stuck in your hand? Oh there, I just said it...)
Will and Nico didn’t know how they ended up babysitting Annabeth and Percy’s kids. Actually, they did:
Annabeth and Percy showed up at their door, worn out, but dressed up. They had wanted to go out on a dinner date, and their babysitter canceled on them at the last minute.
Nico had just wanted to stay in and cuddle on the couch, but his dreams were smashed to a pulp since Will, being the caring person he is, offered to take care of the kids for the night.
Now they were in the kitchen, trying to feed the kids. Selena was a little easier to take care of, it seemed she inherited Annabeth’s traits, but Jason on the other hand was a carbon copy of Percy.
Jason wouldn’t eat anything other than blue food. Why did Percy have to do this?!
The Mac and cheese Nico and Will were planning to eat was already painted on the walls. The noodles were boiling on the stove, being stirred by Will, while Nico was frantically looking for the blue food coloring they had bought just a few days ago at the supermarket for Percy’s surprise birthday party.
Both of them were so focused on their task, they didn’t notice Jason wiggle out of his chair and waddle his way to the fridge where the candies were kept.
Will turned around as he heard a shout “Candy!” He reached the fridge just in time to pull Jason away from the glass jar of candies that was about to tip off the shelf.
“No! No candy!” Will said sternly to Jason, who in return whined and started to wiggle so Will couldn’t hold him properly.
Suddenly, a burning odor hit him, and Will’s eyes widened. He hurriedly placed Jason back in his chair, told him to stay put, and rushed to switch off the stove.
Just as Nico found the blue food coloring, Will managed to salvage a bit of the noodle, just enough for the kids. He separated them into two bowls as Nico filled water in two glasses for them.
Nico mixed the food coloring into Jason’s bowl and placed everything in front of the kids. Jason dug in, but Selena was adamant. She sat in her chair, pouting, with her hands crossed.
“I want mac and cheese!” She said. Will and Nico shared a look before Nico spoke up, “You just threw all the Mac and cheese on the walls! We don’t have any more left!”
“But I want it!” Knowing she would throw a tantrum if they didn’t do anything, Will made a deal, “Ok, we don’t have any more mac and cheese, but if you finish your noodles, we’ll give you candies. But only if you finish eating!”
Selena smiled happily, as she stuffed her mouth with noodles.
Sighing, relieved, Nico plopped down in the chair opposite of the kids. On the other hand, Will started to clean up the dishes and sort out the mess on the kitchen counter.
Nico made a mistake by resting his head on the table. He looked up when he felt something soggy and wet on his hair. There was a single noodle hanging in front of his eyes.
The kids were laughing. Will turned to see what the children were laughing about when he saw Nico angrily staring at a noodle that was hanging from his head.
Will muffled his chuckle as he saw the look on his boyfriend’s face. “I would help you clean up, but then who’d watch the kids?” Will told Nico. “Go, but be back in 10, cause I can’t handle these little monsters by myself.”
Nico got up and left the room and Will took his spot. A minute later, Selena held up her empty bowl. “Candy!” she said clapping her hands.
Will stood up, placed the utensils in the sink, and took out the jar or candy just as Jason finished his food. He dropped two each in front of the kids as he heard a scream from the washroom.
He placed the jar on the table and told the kids to not go anywhere, as he rushed in the direction of his boyfriend's scream.
He opened the door and rushed in, almost shouting “Are you okay!” as he slid the knife out of his sleeve, getting ready to fight any monster.
The only monster he faced was his boyfriend wrapped in a towel, his hair a bright, fluorescent yellow mess. He stood there, speechless for a second before he burst into laughter.
He remembered how he wanted to get back at his boyfriend for the prank the previous day.
“Did you do this!?” Nico asked, flustered. “Maybe-” Will was cut off by a crashing coming from outside.
Will and Nico looked at each other, faces, mirror images of each other, eyes wide in realization.
“The kids!” They said at the same time as they ran out of the washroom.
They entered the kitchen to see a broken glass jar on the floor, candies scattered everywhere, Selena sitting in her chair shocked, and Jason on the floor holding his hand, crying.
Will rushed to Jason, and Nico to Selena. Jason had gotten a piece of glass stuck in his hand, so Will rushed to get the first aid kit.
He carefully removed the piece, and Nico tried to keep Jason quiet, and Selena watched everything through fearful eyes.
Once Will was sure that there was no glass left in Jason’s hand, he took him to the washroom to wash the cut. Jason had inherited some of Percy’s powers which included healing with water.
As the water ran down his hand, instead of hurting him, the cut healed slowly, and Jason stopped crying.
When Will went back out, Nico had cleaned up the floor so no one else would get hurt, so they went to the living room, and switched on the TV.
Will got the toys out of the bag Annabeth and Percy had left for them, and handed them to the kids as Nico went to go put some clothes on which was good because even though Will had seen him without a T-shirt before, it was still getting to him. (A/N: Get your minds out of the gutter!!!)
They sat down on the floor, behind the kids, and they finally had some time to talk.
“Why did you dye my hair exactly?” Nico asked Will.
“You know very well why,” Will replied as he picked up the toy that fell too far for the kids to get.
“No, I don’t really, would you care to enlighten me?” Nico asked.
“Do salty cookies ring a bell?”
“That wasn’t my fault! Someone mixed up the salt and sugar jars!”
“Yeah, and who was it that sorted our shopping bags last time?”
No response.
“I had to give the Jones store-bought cookies! Store-bought! Imagine what they must think of us now! It was supposed to be a welcoming present!” Will ranted, but Nico stopped him.
“I said sorry a million times! What else can I do to make it up to you?!”
“You can go and apologize to- ” Will was cut off by Jason tugging his sleeve.
“Can you please play music?” He asked, giving Will puppy eyes. Will helplessly looked at Nico, unable to say no to that cute face that caused so much trouble in one night.
Nico got up and connected his phone to the speaker and started playing a random playlist of his.
It was in Italian. The kids tilted their heads, confused. “Uh, Nico, I think you should play my playlist,” Will suggested.
Nico said, “Yeah, probably,” and connected Will’s phone and played the only playlist he had.
The kids got up and danced like crazy. Will and Nico were surprised that the kids had so much energy at 11:00 at night, but danced alongside the kids.
Once it turned 12, they both were getting tired, so Nico and Will decided it was time to put them to sleep, and lowered the volume of the music.
After they tucked the kids in, they went back into the living room and started picking things up.
They were physically and mentally tired, but they hoped Annabeth and Percy enjoyed their first dinner date in months, probably.

Percy pushed open the slightly ajar door to the sight of Will and Nico passed out on the couch together. Percy chuckled quietly and took a step ahead, knocking over a formula bottle.
He picked it up as Annabeth followed behind him. The Television was left on, playing some comedy in the background in a very low volume.
There were empty takeout boxes fallen on the floor next to the couch. The TV remote clutched tightly in Will’s hand who was sleeping on the bottom, Nico lying on top of him. Will’s other hand was tangled in Nico’s fluorescent yellow hair. The younger was lightly snoring on the chest of the elder.
Annabeth always thought those two made the cutest couple out of all of them.
A/N: Hey guys! I want to dedicate this story to one of my friends, who is one of the biggest supporters of Solangelo!! Hope you liked the chapter! Comments and feedback are always welcome!!

To date, this is still, HANDS DOWN, the funniest scene I’ve written. Idiot!Sam in full effect from Chapter 47.....
"This isn't the way I wanted to tell you, but...Merry Christmas?" Mercedes awkwardly joked, not knowing what else to say. Welcoming any distraction, she turned and quickly attended to Sam when he began to forcefully clear and scratch his throat.
"Baby? Baby, are you okay?"
"My throat feels tight. And itchy." Sam remarked, growing redder by the second.
"Oh, my goodness, sweetie. Are you okay?" asked Pat, on high alert when he began to wheeze.
"Oh (wheeze) man (wheeze) Mercy (wheeze)" Sam stood, pushing away his plate as he rubbed his throat. "I think (wheeze) the mashed (wheeze) potatoes (wheeze) have parsley (wheeze)."
Everyone else stood in alarm. Mercedes quickly dug through his mashed potatoes and found the green, fishing it out to inspect it. It was chopped too finely to tell, but Sam's reaction was enough of a warning. "Oh no, I think this is parsley."
"What, is he allergic or something?" Shane stupidly asked, suddenly not knowing what to do with his hands except flap them around.
"Quick, Mercedes. Get his EpiPen." Joseph commanded, jumping up quickly to attend to Sam.
"Tell me where the EpiPen is, baby. You shouldn't be running anywhere in your condition." Pat moved toward the stairs, ready to run up and rummage through their suitcases.
"What's parsley? I never bought no parsley in my life!" Nettie remarked in fright, envisioning herself in handcuffs for killing a white boy with Christmas dinner.
"Did you use that spice blend stuff? The dried seasoning?" Nettie's dramatic gasp was enough of an answer.
"Mercedes, tell your mother where the EpiPen is!" Joseph demanded, squeezing Sam's jaw to keep it open and inspect his throat.
"Uh, in my purse, zippered pocket, beside my birth control pills." Mercedes instructed. Pat sprinted up the stairs.
"Birth control pills? Insurance money well spent." Joseph remarked dryly, fanning Sam. "Hang in there, boy. Help is coming."
"I'll dial 911." Shane added, finding his calm long enough to make a level headed decision. Nettie had disappeared into the kitchen, tossing spices haphazardly as she searched for the offending bottle of seasoning.
Pat came back in a flash, wielding the EpiPen. "Okay, I found it."
"Okay." Sam nodded, unbuckling his pants and pulling down his underwear. When his ass came into view, the men in the room immediately protested.
"Hey!"
"Woah! What the hell, boy!"
"Sam, what are you doing?" Mercedes fought to pull his pants back up.
"It has to go in my ass cheek, Mercy. It's the quickest way. I read it somewhere." Sam leaned over the table, raising his bare ass high in the air. Joe backed away with his hands up. Pat passed the pen to Mercedes as Shane spoke to 911 in the background.
"Quick, y'all. What's the address?" asked Shane, hand over receiver.
Everyone's mind drew a blank in the panic.
"Nettie?! What's your address?" Pat called out to the kitchen.
"I need to sterilize the area, right? Where are the alcohol swab thingies?" Mercedes asked, frantically searching the dining table for some reason.
"I'll run up and get it." Pat disappeared again, quicker than the last time.
"Stick it in!" Sam demanded, wiggling his ass toward Mercedes. His tongue seemed to swell by the second.
"I can't yet!" Mercedes swatted his ass in her panic. "I need alcohol!"
Shane snickered, "That's what she said." The couple shot him a scathing look. "Sorry."
"Aww, c'mon boy! You got your ding-a-ling all up in the yams!" Joe lamented; appetite effectively ruined.
"Nettie?" called Shane, "I need the address!" Pat came back with a handful of alcohol pads. She ripped one open with her teeth and handed it off to Mercedes.
She'd just began cleaning a spot on his left buttcheek, Sam continuing to wheeze and turn red below her hand, when Nettie reappeared with the jar of spice that started it all.
"Chives, goddamnit!" she proclaimed, holding the jar above her head like some kind of trophy. "I knew it! It's chives, not parsley! I just read it on the bottle."
Everything stopped. Shane slowly hung up the phone. Mercedes had just uncapped the EpiPen. Sam was squeezing the fleshiest part of his ass to help her aim. Joseph plopped in his chair, stunned. Pat slapped her forehead, muttering "Lord Jesus" under her breath as she went to the bathroom in the hall.
"I mooned this entire table over some chives?!" Mercedes copied her father, plopping in her own chair. She rested one hand on her belly, using the other to rub the stress out of her temples.
"Sam, did you have the allergic reaction before or after you saw the green stuff in your mashed potatoes?"
Sam blushed, holding up his pants by the belt loops. "After?"
The entire room groaned.
"I'll just...I'll see you later, Ms. Nettie. Ms. Pat. Mr. Jones." With a nod and an incredulous chuckle, Shane made his way out the door. He nary missed slipping on an icy patch along the walkway before shutting the door behind him.
"I'll help you pack up the food, Nettie." Pat offered on her return, picking up a dish at random before quickly making her way to the kitchen.
Nettie picked up her own dish, frowning in distaste at the sight of Sam.
"Just white and simple." she remarked, shaking her head as she followed Pat. "Pasty as hell and simple as a chicken with its head cut off."

Nat and Sir Stephen follow Neustadt home in the hope of getting some clues.
Neustadt returned to the train station, and took transit southeast to the Neapoli district, an area of dense apartments and narrow streets below Mount Lycabettus.  Natasha and Sir Stephen followed him, hiding behind newspapers or a group of young soccer fans, and watched as he descended a flight of steps from the sidewalk on Doxapatri to enter a building.  Nat pulled her phone out, and made a note of their location, then sat down on the curb to wait.
“Are we not going inside?” asked Sir Stephen.
“We’re being spies, not warriors,” Nat told him.  “We’ve learned everything we can from him verbally.  Now we want to see what’s in his home.  We’ll watch, and we’ll wait.”
So that was what they did – and about an hour later Neustadt reappeared, dressed in a suit and tie that must have been hideously hot, even now that the sun was down.  A taxi pulled up, and he got in.  It headed south, and vanished around the corner.
“All right,” said Nat.  “Now we go in.”
Like every other space in Athens, the apartment foyer – small and dim, with the tile floor cracking – was tiny and cramped by the standards of somebody who’d lived and worked in America.  Europe was a small continent, and people there didn’t feel the freedom Americans did to spread out and take up space.  There were no plants or furniture, since there wouldn’t have been room for any, and an ‘out of order’ sign on the door of the elevator.  The only person in the room was a nine-year-old girl sitting on the bottom step of the staircase, playing a hand-held video game.
“Good evening,” Natasha said to her in Greek. “Did you see the man in the suit who just left?”
The girl nodded.
“Does he live here?” Nat asked.
The girl just shrugged.
“Have you seen him before?” Nat insisted.
“Sometimes,” the girl said.  “Not very often.  He visits the apartment across from my mother’s.”
Nat managed to get from the girl that her family lived on the third floor, and then thanked her and gave her a couple of Euros to buy herself a treat.  Since the elevator was out of order, Nat and Sir Stephen had to climb the stairs to the third floor, which was not in any way pleasant.  By the time they got there, Nat’s hair was stuck to the back of her neck from sweat, and even Sir Stephen, who was normally almost immune to environmental discomfort, flapped the front of his shirt in the effort to cool himself.
The apartment the man was supposed to have visited turned out to be number 304. Natasha knocked on the door.
There was no answer.
Nat knocked again, counted to twenty just to be sure, and then pulled out a paperclip and bent it open to pick the lock.  The apartment beyond was a surprise – it was empty.
It was a tiny place, just three rooms: a bathroom, a kitchen, and a bedroom. Each had a couple of items placed in front of the windows to make it look as if somebody lived there – some jars or books, curtains, or a framed painting on the wall opposite.  Beyond that, however, there was nothing.  No dishes in the kitchen cupboard, no food in the fridge, no towels in the bathroom.  In the closet a few sets of clothing were hung, and the shorts and t-shirt Neustadt had been wearing earlier were folded on the floor next to his flip-flops.  This wasn’t his home, just a convenient place to change clothes.
On an empty kitchen cupboard was a pink post-it note, on which somebody – presumably Neustadt himself – had written the words, one atop the other:
MISSED ME IN
“Missed me in Athens?” Sir Stephen suggested.
“Maybe,” said Nat.  Although if so, why hadn’t he cut the message short?  Had somebody interrupted him?  He hadn’t looked like he was in a huge hurry when he’d caught his taxi. Nat reached up to take the note, then changed her mind and took a picture of it instead.  “It’s not for us.  We didn’t miss him,” she observed.  “It’s for somebody else… maybe Desrosiers.”
“We did indeed miss him,” Sir Stephen said, annoyed.  “In that you wouldn’t enter until he’d left.  What shall spies do next, then?”
“Search the place again,” Nat decided.  “And be very careful to put everything back exactly where you found it.  Bang on the walls, stomp on the floors, look for secret cupboards or hidden spaces, anywhere you could store something you don’t want anyone to find. And then we wait, because if he left this note then he must be expecting somebody to come here.  If it’s Desrosiers, we need to talk to her, too.”
They searched the apartment from top to bottom, and found nothing.  Natasha knocked on the doors of 303 and 305, both of which were inhabited by apparently normal people: 303 was home to an old man who lived alone with a small terrier, and 305 to a family in which both parents worked while also raising four school-age children.  Neither could remember ever speaking to their neighbor in 304 but they were sure somebody lived there – or at the very least watered the plants on the balcony.
Nat rejoined Sir Stephen in the bedroom, which did not contain a bed – just a small bookshelf and chair in a place where they would be visible through the window curtains.  The books were a random assortment of trashy best-sellers from about ten years back, of no interest at all.  She’d flipped through them, and they were all real books, rather than hiding places.
“This is just a front,” she said, sitting down on the floor beside Sir Stephen. “It’s a place he can hide and maybe get his mail delivered to, but I don’t think he spends any more time here than necessary.  Possibly he used to store stuff here.”  There wasn’t much dust on the floor, which suggested it had either been recently cleaned or recently covered.  “If he did, he’s taken it away now.”
“So we have learned nothing,” groused Sir Stephen.
“We’ve learned a lot,” Nat told him.  “We’ve definitely learned enough to pretend we know more than we do, and we might be able to use that to get something out of Desrosiers.”
“And what if we wait here all night and she never comes?” Sir Stephen asked. “We will have spent the night sitting around uselessly, while Neustadt flees!”
He might be right, but Nat wasn’t going to admit it as long as he was using that tone.  “I’m going to call the others,” she decided.
Sharon answered the phone, and sounded relieved to hear from them.  “Where are you two?” she asked.  “We’ve been waiting at the hotel for hours.”
“We’re at an address in Neapoli,” said Nat.  “I think Desrosiers may turn up here.”  She explained what they’d seen, and how Neustadt had left.  “Did you talk to Fury?”
“Yes,” Sharon said.  “He’s gonna see if he can get us a copy of the Voynich manuscript, although he’s not sure it’ll do us any good.  The smartest cryptographers in the world have been trying to decode it for a hundred years, and nobody’s managed it yet.”
“I guess there might be something else in there we could use,” said Nat, although she wasn’t hopeful.  It wasn’t just Americans who were interested in the manuscript – the Russians, too, had tested their best code-breakers on it and come up with nothing.  “Anything else?  What about the address in Australia?  Or Kotor?”
“He’s going to call somebody in Australia to ask,” Sharon said, “but as far as we can tell from a quick check of Google Maps, it’s a shack in the middle of nowhere.  As for Kotor, he says that’s a trap.  I told him we know it’s a trap, we’re trying to figure out whether it’s worth springing it.”
“All right, let me know,” said Nat.
“One other thing,” Sharon added.  “He says he’s got copies of those Newton writings, and he’ll courier them to us. We should expect the package at the hotel tomorrow morning.”
“Then call me when they get there,” Natasha said.  “We’ll stay here, and if Desrosiers doesn’t turn up by the morning, we’ll come back.”
There was an air conditioner in the room, but it didn’t work.  Nat and Sir Stephen, sitting in the middle of the bare floor, had to try to keep cool by fanning themselves with papers or their hands while they passed the time by playing a couple of games of Beat Your Neighbour.  The cards were a pack bought from a souvenir vendor in the street – they had erotic scenes from ancient pottery on the backs, including a very improbable picture of a satyr balancing a cup of wine on its erect penis.  Sir Stephen won both games, and then sat back and yawned.
“Sleepy?” asked Natasha.
“It’s this heat,” said Sir Stephen.  “It makes one want to sleep at the same time as it is likely to render sleep impossible.”
“Having to sleep on the floor isn’t going to help,” Nat agreed.  “So who takes first watch?”  One of them would have to stay awake to see if Desrosiers, or somebody else, showed up.  The question was who.
There was a rap on the window.
Nat jumped, and she could see that Sir Stephen did too.  For a moment she thought it was intentional, then she remembered they were on the third floor… who’d be knocking on the window?  Could it have been a bird?  Then it happened again – three knocks.  That was definitely somebody trying to get their attention.
She caught Sir Stephen’s eye.  He took up a position next to the window, and picked up the wooden chair from under the bookshelf, to use as a weapon.  Nat pulled the curtains back and raised her flashlight.  There was a man on the balcony, blinking in the light and raising his hands to show that he was unarmed.
It was Jim, with his long hair and black t-shirt.  He squinted to see who was holding the flashlight, then recognized her and looked surprised – had he, too, been expecting Neustadt?  He knocked on the window again to be let in.
Nat undid the catch and let him inside.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“I’m not entirely sure,” Jim admitted.  “I just knew this was the place to come.”
Maybe he’d been here before, and Neustadt had ordered him to forget about it, Nat thought.  Or maybe he’d been told to come here but not why.  Or maybe he did after all know more than what Neustadt had told him – maybe he’d somehow picked up some things Neustadt hadn’t meant to transmit.
“What do you want?” Nat asked.  Behind her, Sir Stephen slowly set down the chair he was holding.
“I… I’m not sure of that, either,” Jim admitted.  “I want help, but I don’t know if you can help me.  I don’t know if anybody can help me – he says he can’t, but maybe Mrs. Flamel can… but I don’t know if she wants to.”
Nat had a good idea of what the problem might be, but she wanted to hear it from him.  “Explain.”

Woozi: Solo Artist AU
Genre: Fluffity fluff fluff
On a dinner date out with your friends, you take notice of the live music that was being performed and the artist that is performing it.
you didn’t want to go out to dinner with your friends
why?
you had just started working a new job and wanted to save up your money
that and you weren’t very good at interacting with other people on outings
even if it’s a group of your closest friends
you tried to convince your friends that you were unable to go
“COUGH COUGH CoUgh I think i’m terribly sick I can’t go out tonight”
“you’re literally saying the word cough out loud, y/n”
but of course, in the end
your friends forced you to go
and you only accepted because you really had nothing better to do
and because they promised you that there was really good food there
it was a pretty casual restaurant
your friends INSISTED that you wear that
“cute little maroon dress”
that they bought you for your birthday
I mean you thought you looked good in it anyway so you weren’t complaining
so you get there
it’s like 6:30pm and you’re hungry
like
you’re obviously only there because the food
so you’re standing in line
waiting to be seated
because the small restaurant was surprisingly packed to the brim
it was not on the main street
so you didn’t think it would be this crowded
you were trying to ignore the peppy waitress that was assigned to greeting customers and keeping track of which party was to enter next
your friends were conversing with her though
“y/n apparently the live music here is REALLY GOOD”
“mhm... but is the food fast”
“ITS A CUTE BOY THOUGH”
“does he serve me my food?”
“no you idiot he plays the music”
“not interested”
of course you don’t understand why your friends insist on gushing about how much they wanted to meet this boy and hear the music that he played
for the next 45 minutes you were in line
when you were FINALLY seated
of course the first thing you did was look through the menu and figure out what you wanted to eat
and your friends had to keep their hands over your mouth so you kept from screaming at the waiters from across the room
and when you finally ordered
you stared at your plate
and tried to distract yourself from your hunger
you vaguely remembered your friends telling you that they were going to go over to the stage area to check out the live performer
thoughts of fried chicken
and fried chicken
and more fried chicken
consumed your mind
and you vaguely remembered your friends returning to the table
mumbling something about how disappointing the performer was
how he wasn’t very cute
not their type at all
(they liked the tall and manly ones)
you didn’t even know if you had a type
and because you kind of threatened the waiter
your food came out first
and you finished it fairly quickly... before your friends’ dishes even arrived
you excused yourself to go get a drink at the built in cafe
and found that it was right beside the cafe that the musician was performing
you heard him before you saw him
it was a beautiful
delicate
heart wrenching voice
singing songs of lost hope and the despair of getting nothing even out of hard work
you could hear the soft chords of a piano
the rising and falling of the accompaniment to his captivating voice
you shook yourself from your thoughts and headed toward the cafe
there was no way you could even attempt to see him from where you were standing anyway
the crowd of people was filled with people much taller than you were
you were sipping your hot chocolate when you heard the final chords of the song
you clapped along with everyone else
but quickly stopped when you heard his voice speak
“thank you everyone for listening. I have concluded--”
you cried internally
“my piano pieces for the evening. if you’ll give me a few moments, I will be switching over to my guitar”
you let out a sigh of relief
you sat at the cafe bar for a long time, just listening to his beautiful voice, imagining his hands strumming the guitar
you did not face the stage
you simply closed your eyes and enjoyed the beauty of the music
“hey y/n, we’re leaving now, let’s go”
“it’s alright. you guys go on ahead. I’ll catch a taxi or something. I’m going to stay here a bit longer”
“uhhh alright then but call us if you run into any trouble”
“okay, don’t worry about it”
you sat there, just listening to him play for hours on end
until you heard the noise of the hustle bustle settle down, leaving the restaurant silent apart from the musician’s melodic voice and gentle strums
“miss, we’re closing soon” the barista told you
you apologized, paid for a cup to go, and stood to leave
for the first time that evening, you caught sight of the musician
contrary to your friends’ beliefs
you thought that the musician that was tucking his guitar into its case was a beautiful person
hesitantly, you approached the edge of the stage
you saw a small jar of tips
“um... hi”
the musician looked up at you, startled
“oh... I didn’t realize that there was still someone left here”
in reality, he would’ve left way earlier but had noticed that you were still there listening
so he decided to continue playing because he was touched by how much you seemed to enjoy his music
“you’re way cuter than I imagined you to be”
whoops
you didn’t mean to say that
it just burst out
oh no, what is he going to think?
to your pleasant surprise, he laughed and covered his face with one of his hands
you could see that his cheeks were pink
“I-I suppose that’s a compliment”
“sorry it just slipped out”
“don’t worry, I also think you’re super pretty-- oh shoot I didn’t just say that did I?”
he hurriedly picked up his guitar case, looking around frantically, probably looking for a way out
you bent down, stuffed a $10 bill into his tips jar, picked up the jar, and handed it to him
“if you’re leaving you wouldn’t want to forget this, would you?”
his eyes were wide
“no you don’t have to give me that $10″
“i really liked your music... may I... have your name so that I can find more of your music?”
“ahh you can find me under Woozi, that’s my stage name. butyoucancallmejihoon”
“i’m sorry I didn’t catch that last bit”
DEEP BREATH “but you can call me my real name, jihoon”
“it’s great to meet you, jihoon. I’m y/n. hope to see you perform again sometime?”
“hopefully”
his smile
was so
DARN
SWEET
and then he reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a business card
“uh... here in case you need to call me”
he stopped for a moment, blushed
“i mean if you need like to book me for a gig or something not just to like call me but I mean you can call me just to call me if you want to but it’s not like you have to and i’m not implying that I would like you to--”
you noticed that he had accidentally handed you two cards
you fumbled in your purse for a bit and found a pen
and you scrawled your number on one of the cards and handed it back to him
“I don’t really do anything that you can book me for but feel free to call or text that number”
he stared at the card a bit dumbfounded
and you thought that he would never contact you because you were literally just a random girl he met
but he did
he texted you
and the simple tests became full on conversations
he encouraged you to get through the difficult times at your work place
he would always invite you over to work on songs with him or listen to him play
low key he wrote a few songs about you but you didn’t know that
and one time he found you messing with his keyboard
so he insisted
that you learn
and when he got excited about teaching you piano
he would not hesitate to rearrange your fingers on the keys
taking no notice of how red you turned when his hands firmly grasped yours
few months later
“so... Jihoon.... are we like dating or something?”
“huh? wait haven’t we been dating this entire time?”
“but like neither of us asked each other out”
“is that how this works??”
what an oblivious boy
...
...
your phone rang, interrupting you listening to Jihoon’s new song, Simple
“what??”
“y/n I’m outside your door with my guitar and a family size bag of chips can you please let me in, I need help writing a song”
“if cuddles comes with the offer then I’m down”

Ouma, Amami, Tenko, Kirumi and their S/O trying to cook something new and unfamiliar
How fun! Thank you so much for the request! I had a little trouble with this one, mostly because I had rewritten it a total of 7 times without feeling satisfied with my end product, haha. I want to make sure that I only give my best for you all!
Tumblr media
Kirumi Tojo
- As the Ultimate Maid, there exists nothing that she has never cooked or prepared before. No recipe that she hasn’t carried out and no dish or confectionery or baked good that she has not made with her own hands and proudly served. Nothing leaves the kitchen unless it meets her standards, after all.
- So when you suggest that the two of you prepare something unfamiliar, Kirumi was dumbfounded as to what to say or do. That was just impossible. You pondered your request for a little longer. After some thought, you propose making something spontaneous and ridiculous, and, although it did not exactly suit Kirumi’s dignified tastes, she agreed to it to please you.
- So the both of you head to the nearest supermarket, with Kirumi behind the wheel as always since she enjoyed driving. As refined and patient as she is, she would occasionally experience a little road rage and would have to take deep breaths. Because the two of you have been together for such an impressive amount of time, Kirumi has seemed to loosen up around you because you insisted. You wished for a loving partner, not a maid. So since then she has tried her best to be less of a servant and more of an expressive lover to you.
- While at the supermarket, any time that it appeared that Kirumi was picking up ingredients for one particular dish, you would randomly pick up something unconventional and toss it into the shopping cart, flustering her. After some pleading, she gave her consent for you to push her around in the shopping cart, and vice versa. You both had fun, and came home with an assorted bunch of ingredients. Nothing leaned toward a specific recipe, but the two of you decided that both of you would make dishes out of some of the ingredients and occasionally add in something unorthodox, or even combine them with other dishes.
- In the end, the two of you ended up with:
Miso and butternut squash soup
Fried bacon slabs covered with peanut butter (Kirumi does not particularly enjoy fried foods so this was your idea)
Macaroni and cheese (but with quinoa and some chopped almonds instead of macaroni pasta)
Cauliflower disguised to be chicken wings dressed with Kirumi’s newly curated hot sauce (made with mangoes and apples)
Salty cotton candy with hints of lemon/lime (Kirumi has a cotton candy machine stowed away somewhere she was sure of it and you used salt instead of sugar?)
Chocolate avocado ganache cake
- Needless to say, the food combinations were really strange, but the two of you had a great time, and that’s all that really mattered. Also, Kirumi does not see herself doing this again and insists that you leave the cooking to her.
Tenko Chabashira
- You and Tenko mostly dined out, as you both shared a taste for healthier meals but can’t seem to prepare them well yourselves (a bunch of iceberg lettuce dressed with excessive amounts of dressing just wasn’t the same as ‘that one salad with that one dressing’ you had at a restaurant). The two of you were clueless when it came to the names of salads and dressings, despite enjoying them so often. In addition, you both never took too long to eat, and were in and out of cafes and such fairly quickly.
- One day, she suggested that the two of you come up with your own salad dressings! It was going to be so much fun! You could even keep it in those fancy jars that everyone seems to have and everything!
- It was a sudden and unexpected proposal, but you agreed to it. You two could experiment and have fun for a day or two and take a break from your Neo-Aikido training (she was teaching you and you would always jokingly call her your sensei). To the supermarket you go!
- While you were there, you really had no idea what you were doing or planned to do. You just bought a lot of random ingredients (mostly liquids) that you THINK would be good in salad dressing. You left the store with red wine vinegar, cherry wine, garlic, white wine vinegar, almonds, peanuts, sesame seeds, chia seeds (Tenko insisted on chia seeds because they looked like sesame seeds so why not), olive oil, salt and pepper, dijon mustard, honey, all the seasonings, red onions, rice vinegar, lemons and limes.
- Here were your end results (Tenko labeled the jars with what was inside):
Red wine vinegar, salt and pepper, olive oil, chia seeds.
Paprika, sesame seeds, dijon mustard, honey, a little salt and pepper.
Rice vinegar, red onions, lemon, salt and pepper, sesame seeds.
Olive oil, white wine vinegar, chopped thyme, lime zest, salt and pepper.
Garlic, peanuts, rice wine vinegar, honey.
- There were some hits and misses, but overall, you and Tenko felt a little more accomplished since you two invented new things!
Kokichi Ouma (this was arguably the most difficult, since I felt his was boring)
- It was around 10 PM. You and Ouma were nestled comfortably on your couch, complete with plenty of pillows and blankets since that’s how he liked it best. Even when it becomes rather humid, he insists on gathering the usual amount of pillows and blankets on the couch. It has been quite a while since he has been this calm. You were running your hand through his hair, and he purred with each stroke. That was, until, an advertisement for a soda making machine appeared on the television.
- His ears seemed to perk up just like a small animal’s, and he turned his face to the screen. Everyone and their mothers knew of Ouma’s love for Panta, a grape flavored soft drink. It was unhealthy, and you always tried to supervise his Panta consumption, much to his dismay (miraculously, he never obtained any cavities. If he did, it would be gross for you to receive a kiss from him, nishishishi~).
- So when he discovered the existence of a machine that could produce his favorite thing in the world (aside from you, of course), at at home too, he HAD to have it. You were quite content with your position on the couch beside him, but during the advertisement, Ouma pounced off the couch and scurried over to glue his eyes to the television screen. Once it ended, he turned his head to look back at you sadly and almost pleadingly, and before you knew it, both of you were in the car and on your way to the nearest store.
- You returned with the carbonator, some soda flavoring packets, and two large water bottles. The most difficult part wasn’t the actual making of the soda, but rather the assembly of the machine. Neither of you possessed any knowledge on how to assemble things, but somehow you both managed, and all you had to do was place a large water bottle beneath the dispenser and put in the soda packet.
- Ouma was practically vibrating as he saw the soda being made, and once it was finally done, he quickly grabbed the water bottle. But strangely, he did not put it to his lips right away. Instead, he stared at it for a little bit before handing it to you. He was looking downward, so it was difficult to hear him when he shyly said thank you, and told you how much he appreciates you for always going through so much trouble to make him happy.
Rantarou Amami
- After finishing a movie, Amami felt inspired to cook its main dish: ratatouille. He had never heard or seen such a unique dish, and was drawn in by how colorful it was. He asked that the two of you pay a visit to the supermarket immediately, as he did not want the inspiration to slip away. You agreed wholeheartedly, as seeing him Amami this way always brought a smile to your face. His carefree and ‘go-with-the-flow’ attitude prompts him to do things spontaneously and on a whim, but they were usually enjoyable and productive things.
- He insisted that there was no need to replay the clip, as he memorized everything that he saw, and with his basic knowledge regarding cooking matters, he also knew what was fundamentally needed. So the two of you walked to the local supermarket, picked up what you needed, and arrived home.
- Cooking sessions with Amami were always wholehearted and warm. He was always extremely compassionate and enjoyed taking the cooking process slowly, often taking the time to wrap his arms around you if you are working on something and he finished what he was doing, pointing at something and taking some food while you looked away, and planting kisses on your forehead every now and then. You had accidentally cut your hand while slicing the squash, and he immediately went to disinfect it and place a band-aid over it and kissed it.
- For some strange reason, whenever the two of you used the oven, the smell of the food in there seemed to be strong, and whenever you would bring that up, he would always reply with, “Maybe it’s because we prepared it with so much love?”
- Once the ratatouille was finished, he brings it over to the dining table and you two enjoy it together with some laughs and some wine, and discuss how grateful the both of you are for the other.
