Hellsing AU idea. Everything's the same, except Van Helsing did things a little differently; Alucard is now a sentient vampire bat. Can talk due to his shape-shifting abilities, but cannot return to a human form unless the seals are released/activated, and only for very brief moments resulting in Alucard not being used as a weapon or being able to fight normally much to his chargin. This was done because Van Helsing couldn't figure out how to kill him, so he did that.

Hilariously or horrifyingly depending on your perspective Alucard is still able to fight, in the way that he still has access to his ability to use shadows and blood to his advantage. It's just very inconvenient, and will take a lot of energy out of him due to the fact his abilities are mostly sealed away aside from those few things.

This does mean his role is different, being mostly the weird Hellsing family pet and nest advisor when it comes to vampires/warfare. Something that comes very useful at times. He also has pretty good grasp of finances as well, and other subjects as well. To Abraham, he was mostly the bat that Abraham kept in the basement and had a bat sized coffin made for (Alucard depises it with a passion). To Arthur, he was a bit annoying due to his snide remarks, and was geniunely horrified at some of his advice when it came to WW II, upon being allowed to retain a human form beneath Walter, Arthur learned just how dangerous Alucard really was, and decided to just keep him in the form of a bat.

With Integra, he did meet her a lot earlier than 12. Not by much, but enough to know that something wasn't right when Arthur got sick and suspected Richard, though wasn't believed. Was a bit miffed by that. To Integra, he is a good advisor, though he gave her the nasty surprise of Seras. Which honestly Integra just doesn't want to know why or how that happened.

He ends up being overlooked quite often due to his small stature as a bat, and the fact that he's not really allowed to talk with anyone who isn't aware of his pridectatment. Sometimes he'll do it anyway, just because he's bored out of his mind, and he really, really doesn't want to read over London's train schedule, or Great Expectations again for the fortieth time.

it wasn’t like qingxuan had actually meant to be wandering near ming yi he xuan’s place, not really. mostly, she hadn’t wanted to be home. the place felt unwelcoming, like it didn’t belong to them. it was a nice place, well decorated and full of chachkies that qingxuan had picked up or purchased without thought since arriving here. they couldn’t stand the place right now, but where else to go? all of the people qingxuan once considered safe spaces weren’t viable except maybe xie lian, and though she was sure he would be kind qingxuan wasn’t ready to explain everything when they were still processing it all, so he had wandered, and wound up here. it didn’t stop their surprise when they spotted he xuan, visibly flinching back slightly. qingxuan wished there had been more time to think to sort out feelings (though he doubted there would ever actually be enough time to process them) so she could tell what she was feeling. scared, confused, sad, and then guilty about being sad, just regular guilt. for qingxuan, always so open with their emotions it was too much to just be all mixed up in them. “h- he-gongzi.” the right name at least. for a second she wondered if there could have been a reality in which he was he-xiong and quickly swallowed down the thought with only a medium amount of guilt. who did they even feel guilty towards? shi wudu? he xuan? both felt like the right and wrong answer. “i aha, i uh didn’t expect you to be around here.” unfair again considering qingxuan was definitely in their area, but it wasn’t like he could make running into the other completely impossible. they were both trapped here, and at the end of the day he xuan was the one with any sorts of abilities. qingxuan ached. the leg made sense but the feeling in their chest probably wasn’t the result of any recent physical changes. “just ah, give me a moment and i’ll be out of your way, unless there’s anything you need of course!”

First post in this new account woo!! These are a bit old but I thought it would be nice to start with one of my favorite cartoon shows. Hope you like it^^

i wish we could bring back music culture to tumblr that wasn’t just making jokes abt the same handful of artists... maybe i’m just not following the right people but u guys used to LOVE posting song lyrics you wrote in your journals and pictures of your vinyl collections what happened. this isn’t even a “tumblr music bad hehe” thing like how i feel abt the artists that are popular on here & their fanbases are beside the point but i just feel like tumblr used to be somewhat of a meaningful platform for music discussion and discovery and it like.. isn’t anymore

ok erase all my miseries of the past several days i saw one of my best friends from college today and it was amazing and i was so happy to hang out with him then i went to frisbee and i had SO much fun and also we WON!!!!!!!!!
