is something i did All The Time as a kid. i was consistently in trouble at school for just getting up and leaving the room if i was even mildly stressed or bored, i ran away from home more than once, i had to be constantly supervised to stop me wandering off... at the time it was just put down to me being badly behaved but now i'm like. hm. hmmm.

okay, but putting aside the comedic aspect of this, it is concerning the amount of people who are prompted to vote for candidates just because it's funny. I'm not the biggest fan of how his policy about the boarder sounds [Site], but I do implore anyone who is able to vote in the 2024 US election to please research other candidates.

The media is only going to continue pushing the idea it's inevitably going to be Trump vs Biden 2.0 and we have no other options, that we have to vote for Biden again because of Project 2025. Is that whole thing terrifying?

Yeah, fucking absolutely.

But voting for Biden will not solidify our safety from that. Biden is exactly like the rest of them. He always has been. You can't make the lesser of two evils argument when they're both just plain evil.

You cannot say that Biden is even mildly a better choice than Trump when he is currently directly involved in a genocide. That is not some little fucking thing. That in and of itself disqualifies him as a lesser evil. Biden is just as bad as him and he will not save us because he doesn't fucking care.

YAY YOU'RE STILL UPDATING YAY!

I have no intention of stopping, in other words, even if the update schedule has been pushed to a two-week period for right this minute! To put a long story short, I've got some health issues that make it hard to stay at my desk & consistently work on stuff, & I don't quite have the means to fix those issues right this minute. So I'm pushin' through with what I've got, without putting myself into burnout! That's why it's taking a little bit, but everyone has been incredibly patient, & I'm always grateful for all the feedback I get in the meantime.

#artists on tumblr #illustrators on tumblr #digital art #digital illustration #sasha's art #a few months ago i got asked to make a few illustrations for a poetry book that got published in my home county #the book dealt a lot with the imagery of home and nostalgia and homesickness and moving away #which are all themes i know so so well lmao #i never thought i would miss my home town but ever since i moved to a different country i get homesick so often #it is mostly about missing my family but it all of course also gets projected onto my home town #which is a place i know i wouldn't survive cos i don't Fit In like that and i spent many years there being so incredibly Lonely it almost-#-killed me #but nostalgia is a powerful drug i guess #i often think of all those places i spent so much of my time growing up #different kids walking those roads #different kids having different memories of it #something about it makes my heart ache profoundly #i hope they have a better life there than i did #i will always love my home town so so dearly #but in the end i am glad to be where i am now surrounded by friends and feeling safe <3
