So Redbubble already has abysmal profit margins for artists: I get about $4 off a $32 sale, and while I could increase my profit margin manually, this would just make products even more prohibitively expensive than they already are. If I want any sales, that's about the ceiling on the margin I can set, because the minimum sale price on these things is already super high. In spite of this, they're now implementing a fee structure that pulls an additional 25-50% straight from artists' profits; the less you make, the more it takes.
Under this structure, a product that sells for $32 will give me $2—the remaining $30 goes to Redbubble, with a sliver of that going into manufacturing and the rest going to line the company's pockets.
My profit margin has been dropped from 12.5% to 6.25% no matter what I do. Because I don't sell a lot, my fee tier is locked.
I've never advertised my current shop in a way that was connected to the rest of my online identity, because I don't like people comparing my illustration work with my graphic design and that always happens, but I'm closing it down on Monday so I might as well.
If anyone wants something off Pothos Logos, get it before April 24th when I wipe the account.

for anyone too young to know this: watching The Truman Show is a vastly different experience now, compared to how it was before youtube and social media influencers became normal
before it was like, "what a horrifying thing to do to a human being! to take away their autonomy and privacy, all for the sake of profits! to create fake scenarios for them to react to, just to retain viewership! to ruin their happiness just so some corporate entity could harvest money from their very humanity! how could anyone do something so evil?"
and now it's like, "ah, yeah. this is still deeply fucked up, but it's pretty much what every influencer has been doing to their kids for a decade now. probably bad that we've normalized this experience"

You know what actually baffles me to no end? The zionist attempt to make you seem antisemitic with questions like "Do you think Jews deserve a national homeland? If not, then think hard about why Jews are the only people who don't."
What is that assumption that I believe any other ethnic-religious group would "deserve" a national homeland? What world are these people living in?
Like... What other ethnicity/religious group has been given land (by people whose land it wasn't even to give) to make their "national homeland"? Seriously? What other ethnostates are there and who would think that is a moral concept to begin with?
People have always migrated and mingled. Even my country, which is a small and rather homogeneous one on an international scale, consists of many different peoples living together.
Nationalists are weird.

eta: the third to last option says 500-999 shhh
how to find the number: use this page to calculate the total number of notes your original posts have gotten, then divide by the number of original posts (and round the result however you see fit). here's mine as an example:
so i divide 142,200 by 626 and get 227.16, which i then round to 227 average notes per post
