Okay okay, so I came up with an idea for an episode in season two of Monster High.
After the events of the Monster Ball, Frankie and Cleo solidify their relationship and establish a romantic label. They begin going on dates.
Clawdeen and Draculaura are absolutely living (or should I saying "dying", cause they're monsters HJSH) for Frankie and Cleo's relationship, and they can't help but wonder what their dates are like.
So... they decide to go on a little undercover spy mission.
And Cleo and Frankie's date is going totally wonderful, but occasionally, Clawdeen and Draculaura will accidentally mess something up (like accidentally tripping a waiter at a restaurant while they hide behind a table). And they're so scared that they ruined Cleo and Frankie's date, but the two always laugh things off and make the most of everything (even if there are a bunch of bumps in the road).
By the end of the episode, Clawdeen and Draculaura are spotted, and they apologize for the breach of privacy. Cleo and Frankie accept their apology, saying that, no matter how many minor inconveniences pop up in the relationship, they'll always have fun with one another, and they'll cherish the memories they made during their date.
Then Cleo says: "but... don't spy on us again, okay?" And Clawdeen and Draculaura are like "noted." JSHSJH

What The Main Ghouls Are Like As Yanderes
Frankie
Tumblr media
Frankie is so sweet and it’s really not her fault that she becomes obsessed with you. She’s only been alone for a couple weeks, how is she supposed to know that her obsession isn’t normal if no one tell her? Frankie’s lack of experience translates to all parts of your relationship. From her standing in the rain with a boom box and then consequently short circuiting to her Valentine’s Day filled with chocolates and teddy bears just like she’s seen in the movies. She probably shocks you the first time you kiss because she’s so excited. She follows you around like a lost puppy because you’re the person she trusts most, you’ll teach her and take care of her and she’ll do the same for you.
Draculara
Tumblr media
Draculara is a lot like Frankie, but unlike Frankie draculaura doesn’t have the luxury of youth to hide behind. She’s super clingy and will always be hanging off of your arm or asking for piggy back rides. She picks out all your clothes and probably has more then a few outfits so you two can match. She sits on your lap in the creepateria and hides her face in your neck when she sees anything non vegetarian. Draculara is very manipulative, if she catches wind that you’re upset or rethinking the relationship then she’ll bring up Valentine complete with crocodile tears.
Clawdeen
Tumblr media
Clawdeen is very chill. Like the most possessive thing she’ll do is always make sure she has an arm round your shoulders or is holding your hand. She’s really cutesy too, she’ll put a finger in your belt loop or squish your cheeks while telling you how cute you are. She’d be a really good person to talk to and definitely gives the best advice of all the main ghouls because hers is the least clouded by obsession. Clawdeen would be ok with you having friends outside of her own as long as she meets them first and makes sure they’re ok.
Lagoona
Tumblr media
Lagoona would be very manipulative. She’ll use her Australian twang and overall bubbly, kind personality to subtly push you in whichever direction she pleases. She’s really good at exploiting your fears and weaknesses without you realizing that she even knows they exist. Her love language would be to take care of you in the best ways she knows how. Making sure she packs a healthy lunch for you and waking you up at a reasonable time with a super sweet message .
Cleo
Tumblr media
Cleo is unapologetic about her yandere traits. It’s not that she thinks they’re ok it’s more so that she just doesn’t care. She’d like to think that if they start impacting you negatively she’d be able to stop but she can’t know for sure. She’ll use her influence to socially isolate anyone she deems unworthy of you and her. All her friends become your friends and all her hobbies become yours. With Cleo it starts to feel like you’re losing yourself and just becoming her. She’s very needy and greedy. She monopolizes your time worse then any one else. She’ll buy you gifts and throw parties to make up for it.
Ghoulia
Tumblr media
Ghoulia as a yandere is very clingy and will follow you around pretty much all the time. She worn really control your choices or manipulate you but she’ll quickly become something of a stalker. She’ll carry your bag on the way to class, always has a bag of your favorite snack right when you need it and is happy to give you the answers to the homework you forgot. She also has a really high tolerance for being treated badly because of how close she is with Cleo. Like you could call her names in a time of overstimulation and she’d still be waiting outside the school for you with a smile.

Uhhuhhhh... explain the public execution and cult thing pls.
Tumblr media
'Read More' break because this got kind of long...
The Public Execution:
In the Monster High movie Ghouls Rule, Frankie Stein learns about Halloween and thinks 'Aw, sweet! Humans celebrating everything spooky and freaky!' Just for her teachers and all of the other ghouls to explain 'actually, the past couple of centuries have had humans using Halloween to hunt us down and destroy our shit'.
To enforce this sentiment, despite Frankie insisting 'no, we can making Halloween fun like it is in these magazines', a bunch of humans do a drive-by and pelt the school with giant rotten pumpkins. Then, after some fuzzy details, Cleo is encouraged by her father to show her worth as a leader by gathering a group of monsters to vandalize human property (it was either a human school or it was a statue of a historical monster hunter).
Welp! The humans didn't like that and, it just so happened, that during the chaos of the monsters trying to vandalize human property, one of them got left behind. Of course it would be Jackson Jekyll, who is half-human/half-monster (his monster half, of course, being Holt Hyde). Jackson tries to hide amongst human society until he can be rescued, but he ends up shifting forms and the main antagonist of the film (the descendant of that historical monster hunter) finds him and turns him into the police so she can finally do right by her ancestor's name. Even though, realistically, all she thinks the police will do is lock him in jail for a few days and then kick him back to the monster side of things.
Ha ha. No. What the police instead try to do is build this giant machine to murder this boy in front of a violent crowd to 'make an example' for all the other monsters. Thankfully Frankie and the other Ghouls save the day just in the nick of time but, yeah: the police were essentially about to lynch a teenager in front of a cheering crowd.
The Cult:
In the movie 13 Wishes, Clawdeen's younger sister Howleen stumbles across a magic lamp after she's humiliated herself in a publicity stunt to try and be popular. Of course there's a genie in the lamp: GiGi Grant, who informs Clawdeen that she will be granted 13 wishes (title-drop). However, GiGi has a dark counterpart: the shadow-genie Wisp who, of course, wants to take over the world. The thing is, she can't unless the person who has the lamp wishes for it.
So, throughout the movie, Howleen makes wishes left and right to try and be popular by doing right by people: she wishes for Lagoona, a sea-monster, to become a fresh-water monster so Lagoona's boyfriend's racist parents will like her. She wishes for the 'mansters' to get a spot on their favorite reality show. She wishes for the character Abbey to become class president.
However, during all of this, Clawdeen is warning her sister 'Hey, take it easy so you don't get yourself in trouble, a sentiment that even GiGi shares. In a fit of anger, Howleen takes the lamp and runs off to be by herself where she is, unfortunately, bullied and embarassed again. In comes Wisp who begins her kind of creepy when you think about the age and power-dynamic difference emotional and mental grooming of Howleen to start making selfish wishes: beginning with 'I wish I was popular'.
So Howleen is popular now, yay! However, Cleo calls her out by saying 'you know, if you have to wish or bribe your way into being popular, you're not really popular' to which Howleen responds by taking advantage of one of Cleo's triggers (being forgotten) and wishes for Cleo to be a 'nobody' (i.e.: make it so that no one knows who Cleo is). When Clawdeen confronts her sister about being immature and not being able to handle power like this, Howleen responds by wishing for her sister to a nightmare dimension inside of the lamp. Things continue on like this, with every selfish wish Howleen makes combined with, again, that emotional and mental grooming, causing her to become more and more of an emotionless puppet for Wisp until Howleen's popularity mire closely resembles the entire school twisting into a cult worshipping Howleen: complete with everyone wearing these weird death-mask effigies of her.

I'm not sure if there is any lore in MH for this, but what's the difference between being born a ghost and dying to become a ghost? Is it sad for people or is it brushed off? Just been thinkin' 'bout Danny with that.
I mean, much like with Danny Phantom, Monster High is a franchise that plays a lot with death but never really says the words. It's a franchise aimed at kids and tweens they're going to make it all as family friendly and sugar coated as they can. The real angsty backstory stuff is only ever mentioned a time or two in the diaries of more obscure dolls, it's not out on full display most the time.
So we just don't really know any of the backstories behind why the ghosts at MH are ghosts most the time. Spectra's is a known mystery, and the only ghosts I know of who are canonically born a ghost are also potentially only Part, ghost? such as Sirena or Operetta.
My personal headcanon/understanding of how death is perceived within in MH is that death is obvi a sad and often traumatizing experience, but its also something that a LOT of monsters, not just ghosts, have experienced. And pretending the real life reasons for why death is never explored aren't there, and instead leaning into the known lore that Monsters tend to hide or attempt to assimilate into human society... I kind of like the idea that death is just something they don't talk about beyond a surface level.
Some monsters are pro talking about it, of course, but that's just not the pop culture presentation of it. Instead much like how none of Veronica Von Bat's movies accurately portray the experience of being part of the Vampire Court,,, the experience of having died and continuing on in some new undead way isn't really explored beyond a surface level message of "embrace you're freaky flaws!"
And to that I'd extrapolate that born ghosts, like Sirena(if she wasnt half mer), or Operetta do experience a sense of otherness from their undead ghost peers.
There's often a push for this sense of unity at Monster High, regardless of one's monster scaritage, you will be accepted. Howerver outside of Monster High...? That's not really how it works.
In terms of Danny's accident though, I think all of the ghouls would be pretty upset on his behalf. But like,,, Ghoulia, Cleo, or Draculaura they'll sympathize, but its not something to dwell on. They've been there too, ya know? Frankie I think flat out would not understand, almost entirely cuz of their age(extra wouldn't understand cuz all that energy and voltage is what brought them To Life, how that would be painful and traumatizing to Danny just... wouldn't compute for them). Monsters like Clawdeen or Abbey? Ya know ones, that aren't immortal or undead in some way, they would see that as pretty horrific.

» BACKSTORY.
TRIGGER WARNINGS: MENTIONS OF CHILD NEGLECT AND ABUSE, INFERTILITY.
eliana was born and raised in washington, d.c., to henry and talia okin. although, she wasn’t their firstborn, her older brother, of two years, came first. parents are supposedly meant to be defined as unconditionally loving; that was not the case for the okins.
to begin with, their upbringing wasn’t pretty. it was always filled with distaste just because of their existence. from time to time, it had made them wish they were never brought into the world. they probably thought it was a grand idea to become parents; they were never meant to become parents and shouldn’t have been in the first place and didn’t deserve such titles.
in reality, she was raised by her older brother; despite him only being TWO years older than her. they were mostly left to their own devices when their parents were nowhere to be found. to keep it simple, they were up to no good doing g-d knows what. so whenever they’d magically appear for whatever reason and act all high & mighty, it was truly a living nightmare for both.
life consisted of being berated, emotionally, and physically abused—they were impossible to please. often times, whenever they’d leave for school, bruises were visible and couldn’t be ignored. concerned adults knew about henry & talia, as they were always the talk of the town. they were quite possibly the most hated citizens in their neighborhood.
unfortunately, cps didn’t get involved as much as it should have; almost failed by the system to have a sense of betrayal and unjust feelings. they felt helpless and, as a result, lost a great amount of hope. why was the world so against them? just when they started to lose hope, one of her friend’s mom stepped in to rescue them from their tumultuous life at home. each of their friends was concerned, so their parents were, too. although they didn’t expect much from the close families, they had to help the kids and did so whenever they could. w/o the govt getting involved, of course.
months went by without having to worry about mom and dad randomly making an appearance. it was times like these that made eliana thankful for her dearest brother. if it wasn’t for him, she doesn’t know how or where she’d end up———preferably not lying in a ditch somewhere, knocking on wood. he made life worth living. they were remarkably close, attached to the hip almost. of course, they had their moments of bickering and being annoyed as hell with each other, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. he’s continuously looked after his young sister since she was an infant. they lost their childhood far too early in life, long before they knew and finally recognized it.
the quiet months slowly died down, when their parents showed up... AGAIN. this time it was much worse than before. they were desperate to leave d.c. behind yet they were still minors. her brother, 17; eliana, 16. it took A LOT of planning... but they decided to run away to the west coast: san diego, to be exact. it was time for them to leave the toxicity of their parents behind. always forward, never back; the longest journey to the freedom they’ve always dreamt of having.
right after their bus ride to california came to an end, they thought of going to a shelter for the time being; to stay for as long as they could. they were both lucky to have found jobs within a week of being there. after all, it was 1986. eliana was ecstatic to have found a job. however, being a waitress from the age of 16-17 y/o, was another kind of hell. it is what it is, she thought to herself. more often than not.
years had passed and they settled into an affordable apartment together. they both went back to school. brother decided to go for his GED while eliana chose to sit in a classroom. she had friends and was wary of who they were, cautious of the people she surrounded herself with—her inner circle of friends. yet juggling school and working two full-time jobs at the same time was a struggle, but she survived through it all in the end.
her dream was to become a vet and after some difficulty —money-wise— eliana decided to go to vet school. of course, she had to keep working. hell, she hasn’t had a day of rest since then. the most hard-working woman you’d know. if things didn’t go according to plan, she would have taken plan b into consideration: to become a social worker!
TIME SKIP AFTER A FEW YEARS OF SCHOOL, HARD WORK, GRADUATING, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.
after years of struggling to find love or the right one—it took a while—she fell hard, felt love, and loved for the first time. the absence of the WARMTH she yearned for was long gone. life was finally comfortable. she had a home from working her ass off—the blood, sweat & tears.
she’s been with her partner for over a decade. they have no plans to get married any time soon. while eliana would’ve loved to have children of her own, she isn’t able to conceive due to health risks and/or possible death. on a lighter note, they adopted three kids who needed a home, unconditional love, and some tlc.
despite being a vet, eliana has a non-profit organization dedicated to animals and kids. one is determined to help stray dogs & cats (similar to shelters ; euthanizing is NOT an option) find their forever home and help kids who might have suffered the same trauma she did.
she’s still dealing with the trauma from when she was a child. her brother is the ONLY person she could rely on ever since she could remember. it was 'them > the rest of the human population' and she wouldn’t have it any other way. he lives in a different state and they have get-togethers whenever the chance is given. they are still close despite the distance between them. ex: family trips, holidays, or just the unexplainable excuse to see each other.
eliana isn’t in contact with her parents whatsoever. they have tried to reach out and done everything they can to weasel their way into her life, but she NEVER gives in. she has already suffered a lot and is quite pleased where she’s at. yeah, in anchorage, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. there is no need to be on a survival instinct anymore and is relieved by that.
» AESTHETICS.
hiding sad eyes behind sunglasses, white lab coats, the myriad collection of the brand burberry in her closet, levi’s denim jacket over scrubs & designer sneakers, messy curly hair in a bun, falling asleep on the couch, never able to finish a book, having a polaroid with her partner on her phone, and chai tea lattes.

Electric Boogie Chapter 6 (Chapter 1)
There was something different about Twyla.
She was wearing tights.
They were simple ribbed black wool, classic and a little old-fashioned, like the rest of her outfits (with one electrified exception), but they were new. Frankie only noticed because she had gotten so used to seeing those swirls, like living tattoos, writhing around Twyla's ankles.
Hosiery wasn't the only difference however. Twyla was acting… normal. Abnormally normal. She wasn't hiding in the shadows. She was standing in what Frankie had come to learn was one of her usual shadows, but she hadn't actually shifted to the shadow realm.
Frankie made sure not to sneak up on her this time, but Twyla jumped anyway.
"Are you okay? You're usually not this… solid."
"I'm just a little tired." Twyla hid a yawn behind her Biteology textbook. "It gets harder to use my powers."
"Late night?" Frankie asked, in what she hoped was a nonchalant manner, "or more nightmares?"
It was not, judging by Twyla's tired smile. "Neither; I just couldn't sleep."
"Well, you're sleeping now." Frankie took her by the shoulders and steered her into the science lab, which didn't have a class till after lunch. Mr. Dracula had learned the hard way not to trust tired students with dimethyl sulfoxide.
Lab tables weren't the comfiest beds, but if you piled up enough lab coats, they could do in a pinch.
"I can't believe you're encouraging truancy."
"It's not truancy if you're technically at school," said Frankie, fluffing a lab coat.
"I don't think Principal Dracula would agree with you on that one," said Twyla. "Aren't you supposed to be the Student Disembodied President?"
"Oh, you're right!" said Frankie. "Then you should definitely listen to me. Catch some Zs. I'll keep watch."
Twyla looked like she was going to argue, but then she hopped up onto the makeshift bed. "Our first creepover was better."
Frankie's laugh cut off abruptly. Twyla's classic, old-fashioned, shirt had ridden up, just for a moment. Frankie didn't understand exactly what she had seen, but it didn't seem like a laughing matter.
"What is that?"
"Nothing," said Twyla, a little too quickly.
"Are those your… Those markings are usually on your ankles. Why are they up so high?" It wasn't until the last word that Frankie realized her voice had gotten a little high too. She cleared her throat. "What are they?"
Twyla sighed. It wasn't like when Cleo did it because she wanted someone to ask what was wrong so she could complain. Twyla sounded tired. Worse than missing a few nights of sleep, and they hadn't even stayed up that late at the creepover. She sounded dead tired.
"They're called Shadow Shackles," she said. "The markings."
"Shadow… Shackles?"
"At least that’s what he called them." Twyla's head was ducked so low, she was essentially talking to her knees. " A little misleading. They start with your toes, where the Boogeyman gets you when he comes out from underneath your bed. All I know is, the more negative energy I consume, the higher they get."
"But then-"
"The Shadow Shackles seemed to stop growing a few years ago," Twyla told her knees, as if Frankie hadn't spoken. Her words were convulsive, almost like she couldn't stop now that she'd started. "I thought my theory was wrong, and they weren't related to the negative energy, but it turned out he'd just been hiding the Shadow Shackles from me with Boogey Sand." At Frankie's look, she added. "Long story. He also stopped hiding his own shackles. They're… all over him. I think this is how Boogey Monsters are made. I always wondered why he never tried harder to stop me."
"That might explain why there are so few of you," said Frankie before her mouth parts could catch up with her brain parts.
"That might explain why my mother left."
"We have to get you out of there, Twyla," said Frankie.
"I hate to be cliche," said Twyla, "but think of the children."
"If your hypothesis is correct and your father is trying to turn you into a Boogey Monster, then interfering with his plans would technically protect the greatest number of children."
"From me," Twyla finished.
"From what he would turn you into," Frankie corrected, but Twyla didn't look convinced. Her arms were wrapped loosely around her waist, where Frankie knew the Shadow Shackles were squirming, even if she couldn't see them anymore.
"Why did he stop hiding the Shadow Shackles from you?" she asked.
Twyla spent a few moments tapping her fingertips against the metal lab table before answering. "My dad and I got into a bit of a fight this weekend. It was about… a lot of different things. Mostly his work. Apparently he had cut down on hours because he already had enough power over me. He can't control me completely with the Shadow Shackles, but he can keep me from using my powers. Without my powers, I can't phase."
Frankie could feel her brain parts trying to make the final computation. All of the information was there, but she just couldn't find the answer. Then she noticed Twyla's sleeves.
They were usually three-quarter. Today they were full-length. The Shadow Shackles had only reached up her stomach. There was no reason for Twyla to hide her arms.
She didn't react when Frankie slowly rolled up one sleeve. There were four parallel lines on Twyla's arm, like grill marks, but contusion-blue.
Frankie found the answer: Without her powers, Twyla couldn't dodge.
Twyla grabbed Frankie's hand, which was when she realized it was shaking.
"Stop that," said Frankie. "You shouldn't have to comfort me."
"I'm fine."
"No, you're not!" She cleared her throat again. "Especially not if you think this is fine."
"It's just a couple of bruises. He gets bored easily. The only reason I didn't get any sleep last night is because he sicced the Shadow Nightmares on me, and they refused to go back in the box. Even when I said please. I had to read them a story."
"Can I hug you?" asked Frankie.
Twyla laughed for some reason. "You've never asked before."
"I'm sorry."
"That's not what I meant."
Frankie didn't know what to say to that, so she just said, "Please?"
"Yes," Twyla whispered. "Please."
Frankie stepped in between Twyla's stockinged knees and hugged her gently, in case it was more than just a couple of bruises. This time, Twyla hugged back.
Eventually, Frankie pulled away just far enough to meet Twyla's eyes, which…. appeared to be phosphorescent in some way. Fascinating. Later.
"Don't worry, Twyla. I've got at least twelve different geniuses in me, somewhere or another. I'll think of a way to save you."

Frankie was the one who spoke from behind the curtain, in her reattached hand was Toralei's phone! Ghoulia appeared with Lagoona and Draculaura. Cleo appeared behind the striped cat looking refreshed with praise before smirking at the busted feline with Clawdeen right behind her in a sneer.
❝ We know you've been blackmauwling Gigi because of her relationship with Catty and we're not going to let you hurt our friends anymore. ❞ Frankie challenged, giving the phone to Ghoulia who began hacking away.
❝ You should know better by now than to mess with your superiors. Ghoulia's installing a program right now that'll wipe everything on your phone. One click and everything on will be erased unless you agree to back off. ❞ Cleo threatened with a wink to Catty.
❝ eeehehhggggg (One press and it's done). ❞ Ghoulia assured as the group stared down Toralei.
Toralei's entire body was cringing, make her look like she was coiling in on herself, preparing to strike… but she had nowhere to go. Her mouth was opening and closing, but not a single word made it out. Her eyes darted wildly from one ghoul to the next, jerking back to her phone at intermittent intervals.
All in all, she seemed genuinely caught off-guard. Like a cornered animal that didn't know how to fight back.
Good.
Fighting the grin that was trying to grow across her face, Catty squeezed Gigi's hand in her own. She didn't think they were quite in the clear yet --Toralei was a sneaky kitty, after all-- but right now it felt like a win.
She could feel her heart hammering in her chest like a drum. Inhaling deeply, Catty boldly met Gigi's eyes. There were still tears in them, and she softly brushed a few of them away with her finger pads.
"Gigi, listen to me."

"It's true, my privacy is important to me. I hate how nosy the media is, and I don't like that you and I have to hide from the paparazzi every time we go out together. As much as I love performing and being who I am, the media can be a nightmare to work around, and I don't like the idea of you being drawn into the nightmare because of me.
"But even more than that, I hate the thought of you sacrificing your own happiness and security like this. That's not fair to you -- or us."

"Just… please, Gigi. If anything like this happens again, please don't shut me out."

Apparently the monster high fandom is rising from the grave again, so in celebration I wrote this instead of sleeping. I will be finishing it soon. Feedback is much appreciated! A series of misunderstandings involving a limousine and Spectra’s blog lead Jackson to the realization that he has way more friends than he thought.
Monday
It was 12:06 in the afternoon when Jackson Jekyll ascended the steps of Monster High. If he was quick enough, he could at least be on time for 5th period. He took his seat in Mr. Rotter’s AP contemporary literature class just as the bell rang and pulled out his class copy of 1984. The stoic teacher gave him a nod of recognition. A few minutes into the lecture, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
“You were not in creepateria this morning.” Abbey stated in her usual matter-of-fact tone.
“Yeah,” Winona added, “Ghoulia wanted to show you the new Fastpoint comic she got. She seemed really bummed you weren’t there. I can’t wait for you to read it though. It retcons the whole DeathCap Comics universe back to the way it was before the reboot. There was even-”
“Where were you, anyway?” Howleen hastily changed the subject.
“Oh, yeah. Sorry. We were at the doctor’s office. Something kinda came up unexpectedly.” Jackson replied, turning to face them. This caught the attention of Rochelle. She looked up from her book.
“Doctor? Is everything alright?” Concern dripped from her voice and Jackson instantly felt guilty.
“Oh, yeah, everything’s fine. We’re in a little bit of pain, but…” Jackson’s eyes both glanced upward towards his helix piercing as he spoke.”It won’t be a problem for much longer.” The four ghouls glanced at each other suspiciously and then back towards Jackson. Abbey opened her mouth to challenge his last statement.
“Ladies! Mr. Jekyll! Do not make me have to separate you!” Mr. Rotter’s stern voice boomed from the front of the room. Jackson muttered a meek apology and turned back to his book, his ghoulfriends quickly following suit. He breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
40 uneventful minutes went by and then finally the bell rang, signaling the end of the period. “Don’t forget to read the next chapter!” Mr. Rotter yelled to his students, but most of them were too far away to hear. Jackson dashed to his locker and quickly called his human friend Chad.
“Hey! I just got back from the doctor’s office. Yeah, she told me to just take some Advil and just let it run its course.” unbeknownst to him, resident blogger Spectra Vonderguist was perusing the hallways looking for her next story.
“Completely done for, they said. Apparently there’s nothing they can do.”
Spectra perked up at those words. She quickly pulled out her iCoffin and hid a few lockers down from Jackson’s.
“It’s true. We don’t have much time left.”
Spectra gasped and quickly snapped a photo of the scene in front of her. Did he say he was running out of time as in...death? Having always been a ghost, Spectra didn’t know a lot about death other than that it was something that happened to humans and to some breeds of monster. Even so, Jackson seemed a little early in his life to be experiencing it. In moments like these she really regretted snooping around in other people’s business, but she definitely had her blog post.
Tuesday
At 8:35 that morning, every phone in Monster High sounded at once as The Ghostly Gossip was updated. Conversations were halted and hallway traffic came to a standstill as several students stopped to check their phones.
Normie’s days are numbered?
Yesterday, sources caught a phone conversation of one Jackson Jekyll in which he confessed to being told by a doctor that he didn’t have much time left on earth. This story is still developing, and more details will be reported as they come in.
Deuce Gorgon’s eyes scanned the short article again. “Dude.” Was all he could come up with after a couple of minutes. “What?” Asked Clawd Wolf as he approached his best friend. Deuce handed over his phone.
“Dude!” Clawd exclaimed. “If this is someone’s idea of a joke, it isn’t very funny.”
“I know.” Deuce replied in a stern tone that contrasted with his usual jovial one. “Maybe the ghouls know something about this.”
Clawd nodded and quickly scanned the hallway. Frankie, Cleo, Clawdeen, and Draculara were all crowded around Frankie’s locker. They were looking over Cleo’s shoulder at something on her phone and talking to one another in a hushed whisper. The boys headed toward the group.
“Hey, did you ghouls see that weird blog post?’ Deuce asked the group.
“Uh, yeah,” Cleo responded. “Why would Spectra post such a far-fetched tale? And expect anyone to believe it?”
“But why would she post something like this if it wasn’t true?” Clawdeen asked. “You know how seriously that ghoul takes her blog.”
“C’mon guys,” Frankie cut in. “Spectra’s gotten a story twisted around before, remember?”
“But-” Draculara started.
“But nothing.” All eyes turned towards a fast-approaching Heath Burns, flanked by Abbey and Ghoulia. “Look, if my cousins were dying, I would know about it. That ghost writer has lost her spark.”
“Am not so sure.” Abbey responded, giving Heath the side eye. “He was acting very strange yesterday. Said he did go to see doctor.”
Draculara burst suddenly into tears, clinging to Clawd and Clawdeen. “But that means we’re gonna lose Jackson and Holt-” the rest of her sentence was cut off by sobbing.
“There there, sweetie,” Clawdeen whispered, handing her best friend a tissue. “That does it. We have to put this whole thing to rest right now.
“Yes,” Abbey agreed. “We go ask Jackson.”
“Well we can’t just tell him we know,” Cleo insisted. “What are you even going to say? ‘Oh, by the way, Spectra eavesdropped on your private conversation yesterday and now there’s a story posted on the internet about you for the whole school to read, so can you tell us if it’s true?’ He’ll be mortified.”
Frankie stared at her. “That’s actually a pretty good point. Okay, we’ll meet in the library during lunch to find what we can about human death, so we at least know what we’re looking for. Sound like a plan?” The group collectively nodded. “Good. I’ll see you there.”
At 11:30 that morning, the group re-convened in the dusty confines of the Monster High library. Ghoulia moaned as she typed away at the computer in front of her.
“Ghoulia says that when a human dies, they’re put into a box that is measured especially for them. The box is then put into a long black car to a place where it can be buried in the ground. It’s customary for the person’s box to be decorated with flowers, and then their family and friends are invited to a gathering to watch them be buried.” Frankie translated.
“Like some sort of going away party?” Clawdeen asked. “I’m glad i’m not a human. That’s pretty morbid.”
“But that proves it!” Heath exclaimed. “I’m Jackson’s family so if he were dying, I would definitely be invited to the going away party and so would my parents. This whole story is bogus.”
The other students weren't so sure yet, but they all let the subject drop for now.
At 2:56, the music stopped. Jackson blinked, suddenly aware of his surroundings. The sun beamed down and burned his eyes, and he quickly had to side step to avoid being trampled by the massive herd of students walking behind him. He’d apparently stopped in his tracks in the middle of the front walkway of the school. He looked down and discovered the cause of this to be his dead iCoffin. He plugged his phone into his portable charger and it blinked back to life. Underneath the time display was a message from Holt.
“You got any idea why D-low hugged me holding back tears this mornin? Did I miss somethin?” Jackson opened his phone to respond
“Um, no? I don’t think so. Did she say what was wrong?” He left it for Holt to find later and put his phone back in his bag. Not a moment passed before it began buzzing with a call from his dad.
“So anyway, I was all like ‘dude’ and she was all like-” Draculara recounted the events of the day and was suddenly cut off by her best friend Clawdeen, who pushed her back behind the doors to the school, pointing in Jackson’s direction.
“You’re going to pick us up right?” Jackson asked into the phone.
“Okay. Yeah, we spoke to the florist yesterday. We picked out this really cool arrangement of Forget-Me-Nots. Pretty appropriate for the occasion, right?”
The two ghouls in hiding glanced at each other. “Do you remember what Frankie said? About humans getting flowers when they’re-”
“SHH!” the two turned their attention back to the human in question.
“Yeah, I know. Moms will be devastated. They said they won’t be back until 11 or 12 that night, and we’ll definitely be gone by then. But we’ll be sure to take a lot of pictures before we go!” He continued to the person on the other end. “Okay, see you in a few minutes.”
The girls gasped as Jackson put his phone away. Clawdeen pulled out her phone and pulled up the group chat. They had to tell everyone what they had just heard.

Wave 2 Abbey Bominable Diary
On the 13th Day of September
Today I am being given school tour from Headmistress Headless. It was she who convinced my parents to allow for my entrance to Monster High. She has been family friend for many years and I have been knowing her since I was yetling. Her heart is large with courage and honor but I think many students here know that not. I am also with her staying during the week so I must not have to trek back up mountain day by every day.
On the 17th Day of September
I have spent much time learning the monster language of what we on the mountain call “The Down Below”. It seems to take many words to say what is needed. Best for me is the reading and writing in different language is easier than the speaking of the language because I am having the hard time finding right expressions to use when I talk to other monsters at school. It seems better to be quiet than express wrongly, for that brings the laughter.
On the 24th Day of September
I am wanting to do something today for which there is no word in Yetish. The closest we have means “run to shelter when the hard wind blows” I think down below word is “quit”. I am embarrassed to write this desire because I am not running from any wind, hard or not. I feel like everything I touch brings down the avalanche of hurtful feelings. Today I am telling Draculaura that her makeup was piled up on one side of her face like the drifted snow. I only meant to save her from embarrassment. I did not know that the putting on of makeup was for her a task of great strain and anxiousness. I tried to express the apology but that was said wrongly too. I am wishing to make the thoughts in my heart and the words from my mouth the same and for the friend who will be patient until that is happening.
On the 28th Day of September
Today I met Lagoona. Who I am finding not the kind not easily insulted even after I am asking if she was a fish girl. She had the look of shock at first when I ask then the laughing. Then the embarrassment came and I tried to walk away but she wouldn’t let me. Lagoona told me of her difficulties when at Monster High she first started. How she was not understanding land monster culture and how even though speaking the same language the same words sometimes meant something different. She even given the detention for using the expression that was being perfectly acceptable down under but at Monster High was terrible insult. She said her accent was also hard for some monsters to understand. I said that her accent was being very understandable and she said, “It wasn’t when I first got here, I had to work very hard so that I could be understood.” Lagoona told me that the work was worth the friends she’d made because they  were being ones she would have for life. I asked her also if she ever wanted to quit and she said, “Only just about every day until I made me first mate here.” Maybe I shall stop wanting to quit now too.
On the 1st Day of October
Headless Headmistress has extra spot in her barn for keeping my wooly mammoth, Shiver. It is very kind of her to allow my pet from home. Each night I come from school and clean the stables. I like this - it helps in the clearing of the head from the thoughts of the day. I sing to Shiver in Yetish, brush her wooly coat and feed her the hay she likes most. I am also feeding Headless Headmistress’s nightmare the stuff of dreams. Sometimes Headmistress comes out and we work on language lessons. It makes me not so homesick.
On the 7th Day of October
There was much distress at school today. Many tears were running and every monster was talking about Clawd and Cleo. I am not knowing them best but I am not thinking the truth was being told. At home we say a rumor is the “swirling wind that hides the right path” and on mountain, wrong paths lead to bad places. Sometimes it is best to wait for the wind to stop before moving ahead - even if it is a path that seems familiar. It makes my heart sad to see monsters do this.
On the 12th Day of October
Today we all receive assignment to write about our monster heritage. My monster heritage is easiest for me to tell because it is the first thing we are being taught as yetlings. In the great cave of meeting every Yeti has a life painting that tells of their deeds. I can draw from memory all of my relatives who have come before myself on the side of my mother and father. My own painting will now have my journey to the ‘down below’ and Monster High. Artists have great status amongst the Yetish and they are much treated like the rock stars are here. I am not being such a star but I am asking Headmistress if I might tell my story in the same way as it is done on the mountain. She said she thinks it is good idea so that is what I will do.
On the 15th Day of October
My people are being very strong but I do not like the calling of attention to myself with the showing off. Today I did. The place of my locker is next to Howleen of the wolf clan and when I went to locker at end of day, Manny Taur was holding the backpack of Howleen. She wanted its swift return but he only laughed. It was not the laugh of friendly tease but of the taunting. “What are you going to do if I don’t, tell your brother?” She did not ask for the help but I was believing she wanted it so I told him to give back to her the backpack. He began to mock me with the imitation of my accent, “Why for don’t you make me?” I had in my locker horseshoe, from Headmistress’ nightmare, for tell and show. I pulled out horseshoe, straightened it, then tied it in knot. I am thinking he believed it not to be real until it clanged when I dropped it. He returned backpack without word. I am now being invited to wolf clan cook out by Howleen. I am looking forward for that.
On the 21st Day of October
There is very annoying but... scary cute classmate who I am told wants from me a date. I am giving him currently the cold shoulder. He is called Heath Burns and is the sort of monster who catches fire like torch. Also he is not the kind easily offended - why is it the annoying ones never are? He uses many stranges phrases that I am not understanding. I have remembered some to write down and ask Lagoona for explanation:
“Hey frosty - did it get steamy in here or is it just you and me?”
“Want me to melt your heart?”
“I get a brain freeze just looking at you.”
“I bet your bark is worse than your frostbite.”
I am not understanding phrases, but delivery is same tone as boys on mountain who want the attention. Until a properly asked for date I am continuing the ignoring of him. This is same on mountain as down below. I think I am learning and perhaps starting to have some fun.
On the 24th Day of October
Mostly I am bringing my lunch with the food I have the familiarity with, but today I went to creepateria. I was mostly nervous so I am watching other monsters first then copying them. I got in line and shuffled forward like others in front and behind and all was fine until the choosing of the food. Much was unrecognizable to me and many choices ended with word “Surprise”. I am not fan of the food “surprise.” I ask monster lady with netted hair if surprise was kind causing monster to laugh or to cry. She says, “Depend on monster.” I could hear much grumbling in line behind because shuffling forward was stopped. Then kind voice says, “Try the screechza, it’s the safest choice.” It is put together girl Frankie Stein. We ate at same table together and had many laughs. She is going to help me the slang and I am teaching her to learn to board the snow. I am being the best teacher on mountain and she is not making fun of my language mistakes. I am thinking think now that it’s good I didn’t run to shelter when the strong winds were blowing.

Somewhere Inside (Disuphere series #4) Chapter 63
(To listen, click here) - 13:13
Francesca’s super bummed because it’s already 7:00.  Her bedtime is 8:00 on weekdays.  Even though it’s not a weekday, they’ll have to be up way early tomorrow.  Like, when it’s still dark out, in order to get to the airport in enough time to make their flight.  So Mariana said in private that it was a good idea for them all to really try to get sleep tonight, and for Francesca to go by school-day bedtime.
Even though it makes sense, it also kinda makes Francesca want to cry.  Being there for Levi and helping him clean his room after Peanut Butter Cookie came and messed it all up was important, and Francesca knows that.  But she also wishes the time could stretch out, the way it does at school, where the minutes take forever during gym or math or science, or some other class she hates.
Right now, they’re going by too fast, like it’s recess.
It means they only have one hour of Feelings Time, not the usual two.
“What’s up, buddy?” Jesus asks, and Francesca’s glad he’s back to calling her his buddy again.
“I only have an hour until bedtime.  So less Feelings Time…” Francesca confides, stopping short at the Avoidance table outside their cabin.  Jesus joins her.  Then Levi.  Then Pearl, Dominique and Mari on the other side.
“Well, so we prioritize.  What’s the most important thing you want us to know?” Pearl asks.
“I don’t know!” Francesca shrugs.  “It’s too much pressure…”
“Okay.  Is there something anyone else wants to share?” Pearl wonders.  “Or that we agree we wanna have happen in Feelings Time tonight?”
“A picture,” Francesca offers.  “I know I can’t really ask this and have it be fair because we’re not all comfortable with pictures...but I really want one of all of us together.  All of us Avoiders.”
“I think it’s worth having a conversation about,” Jesus offers.
Francesca feels her sadness lift a little.  Conversations are good.  “Okay.  About how whichever of us feels the most awkward about pictures can have the most say over them?”
“Something like that…” Jesus allows.
“So, I remember this conversation, I think.  Or a similar one.  Right?” Pearl asks Jesus.  “From before you left last time?”
“Yeah,” Jesus offers.  “So, what if, we all get the chance to offer a suggestion about picture-taking.  Like, if it’s a full on accommodation, that’s cool and if it’s a suggestion or a lowkey wish.  But if everybody could offer something that’d help so those of us who don’t feel okay could feel supported asking for what we need.”
“I need nobody to tell me to smile nice…” Francesca offers.  “Sometimes, when I’m my most happy, Moms are like ‘Tone it down, Fran.  Less mouth.  Put your chin down.’”
“Oh, babe.  That’s your CP, making your smile that big!” Dominique shares, matter of fact, proud.  “It’s muscle movement stuff.  We’d never critique your smile.  We love your smile.”
“Really?” Francesca asks, shy.  Dominique knows so much.  She must really see a lot of kids with CP at the hospital.  They must all have big smiles like her.
Mariana raises her hand.  “Kinda along the same lines…  I don’t really like my smile.  It changed when…  Last year…  Whenever…  My face changed.  I need you guys to know I don’t love how it looks.  Just...maybe don’t comment on me?”
“Okay.  We won’t,” Francesca promises.  “I know what it’s like to not want anybody to notice mine.”
“I know this isn’t...exactly what you meant, maybe, Jesus?” Dominique starts.  “But would y’all be okay if I took the picture?”
Dominique takes the best pictures.  She’s definitely the best out of all of them at it, even though Francesca takes pretty good ones, too.
Francesca looks at Dominique, looking at Jesus.  She knows to wait for consent from the ones who are least comfortable before saying yes.  Because it might make the ones like Jesus with picture-trauma feel pressure to agree.
“Could I see it after you take it?” he asks.
“Absolutely.  And I’d be real obvious about taking it.” Dominique promises.
“None of that feature that takes the pics really quick all in a row?” Jesus asks.
“No.” Dominique promises.
“Can you...not say to smile?  Say cheese or whatever?’ Levi asks.
“I won’t police your emotion,” Dominique promises.
“And can we not share it on social media?” Jesus asks.
He waits til everybody says they agree.  Then Levi and Jesus say Dominique can be the photographer.
“Wait, what about Pearl?” Francesca asks.  “She didn’t get to say a thing about pictures.”
“Aw,” Pearl says.  “Thanks, Francesca.  Let’s see...are dogs welcome?  Mom always tried to find ways to exclude Gracie from pictures...” she confides.
Gracie was the prettiest dog.  And the best.  It’s her face Frankie remembers from after falling down all the stairs at the cabin.  Her softness.  Her gentleness.
“In the Avoiders official picture?” Dominique asks.  “Of course.  Dudley and Cleo should be in on it.  That makes me miss my cat, though…” Dominique makes a sad face.
Francesca doesn’t really miss Roberta, but she doesn’t tell Dominique that because it would hurt her feelings.
Finally, it’s time to take the picture.  Dominique asks how comfortable they feel climbing on the picnic table, sitting on it, bunched up behind Dominique so she can get a good angle.
People don’t think so, but Francesca’s a great climber.  And Levi makes sure to guard her, to make sure she keeps her balance.  Then, Dominique raises her phone.
“One last consent check.  Everybody still on board with this?” Dominique checks.
Francesca holds her breath.  She hopes nobody says no even though they are all humans and have the right to.  She really wants this picture of all of them together.  Luckily they all nod.
“Nobody needs an out?”
Heads shake no.
“Everybody feeling present?” Dominique wonders, camera still down.
Francesca’s confused.  Until she sees Levi shake his head a little.
“You’re not?” she asks, quiet.  Francesca calls a pause so she’s sure Dominique notices.
Dominique puts her phone down on the table, screen side down.
“Sometimes it helps to hold on tight to people around you.  You can hold on tight to me.  So I don’t lose my balance,” Francesca offers, soft.
Levi puts an arm around Francesca.  She squeezes his hands tight after he says it’s okay.  Then he looks like he’s more here.  Not hiding from bad memories.  She sees him give a thumbs up to Dominique.
“All right.  One, two, three, Avoiders!” Dominique cues.
“Avoiders!”  They all say it at the same time.  Jesus and Levi each take a long time looking at the picture.  Levi still has his arm around Francesca for balance.
“I think this is the best picture,” Francesca decides.
They go inside after that, because it’s starting to get dark a little.  And also they don’t have snacks out here.  They get some grape soda, and Levi offers some pizza Pringles.  Jesus gets the Hostess cupcakes and Junior Mints.  Even though Francesca really wants some of both of Jesus’s snacks, she doesn’t ask, because they’re his specific ones.
She tries to be okay with that.  It’s easier when Mariana breaks out her secret stash of dark chocolate raspberry ice cream.  With the chips and the soda it tastes like the greatest thing ever.  Francesca doesn’t even miss Mountain Dew.
“So, Feelings Time should have some feelings in it.  What do you guys think?” Pearl begins.
“I feel sad Peanut Butter Cookie wrote you that mean note, Levi.  And tried to make it seem like you threw away pictures of Gracie when it was really her.” Francesca tells him.
“How do you feel about it?” Pearl asks Levi.
“Scared,” he confesses, not really eating any of the snacks, not even the ones he brought.  “Because she was in my space.”
Francesca shivers a little.  It reminds her of the time Moms came in  their room at home and yelled at Mariana for making a huge mess in it.  For swearing at Francesca.  It was back when Francesca thought she was Other Mariana.  But she was really herself the whole time.  Just needing accommodations.  And also love and understanding.
She remembers how Moms went through with garbage bags and threw out a bunch of their stuff that got broken and some that didn’t.  How Mariana started crying.  And they said she should feel bad.
They left the bags behind because there was a lot of them and went to bed, and it was quiet for a long time, so Francesca thought Mariana was asleep, but she was moving around, walking to Fran’s bed, whispering (because they have an intercom in their room which is like having Moms in it all the time and zero privacy ever since Mari got back).
She was whispering “Please…  Please…”
When Francesca rolled over and looked and saw Mari trying to move the bags outside the door without making any noise.
Francesca had gotten up and helped her.  Not saying anything.  Closing the door after, not leaving it open like Moms said to.  Mariana was scared of those bags.
It was the first time Francesca thought Moms might be wrong about Mari being gone.  But it was March.  Months after Jesus left.  And before they met the Avoiders.
“I don’t like it when Moms are in our space either,” Francesca says, looking at Mariana.
She can tell by Mariana’s eyes and that shadow in them that she’s thinking about the same thing Francesca is.  Jesus doesn’t know about that happening.  Or the mean comments Moms made when they cleaned.  That was the day when they said the thing about that they couldn’t believe that had two kids with brain damage.  It’s been over a year, and Francesca still can’t forget.  She knows Mari can’t either, because sometimes she says it:
“Two kids with brain damage…” like she’s thinking about it and saying it at the same time.  It doesn’t bother Francesca.  It bothers her that Moms said it and the words got trapped in Mari’s head.  Like they are in her own.
“I’m not going to kick Levi out,” Pearl offers.  “Just so there’s no doubt with anyone.  I know my mother did those things with Gracie’s pictures, not Levi.”  Pearl turns to Levi: “You will always have a home with me.”
Levi nods.  But he doesn’t say anything.
Strong feelings move inside Francesca.  Like she wants to hurt something.  Usually, that’s not a thing, it’s herself.  So, she stands up and goes to Dominique.  Trying to think about using her hands for balance, not for hurting.
“I need backup for The Thing,” Francesca whispers.  “I’m remembering stuff.  Trying to do positive coping.”
“Want to sit with me?” Dominique wonders.
Francesca nods, and climbs into Dominique’s lap.
She gives Francesca her phone to hold.  “Look up some sloth videos, babe.”
“Sloths won’t help…” Francesca says, feeling like she’s definitely gonna do The Thing.
“Do you need to share with the group?” she asks.  “It is Feelings Time…” Dominique reminds.
“I feel angry,” Francesca admits, quiet.
“Hey, Avoiders?  Fran’s doing some tough work, coping right now.  Can we tune into her?”
Francesca keeps her head down, finding sloth pictures anyway to look at.  So she won’t have to feel all the Avoiders looking at her.
“I’m angry…” Francesca repeats.  It doesn’t make the strength of The Thing any less.  She flips through lots of sloth pictures.  But right now there’s not enough sloths in the world.
Dominique offers her hands.  Francesca sets her phone on the table, face down.  Squeezes Dominique’s hands hard.
“What are you angry about, buddy?” Jesus asks.  “Can you take a deep breath?”
Francesca tries but her throat is too clogged with sadness.  She tries to smash it back inside where it goes.  But that doesn’t work.
“Moms…” she whispers.  “How they were in our room one time?” she glances at Mariana.  “Really mad, and saying they had two brain damaged kids now…”
“That makes you angry?  At them?” Jesus asks.  She can’t see his face.  It’s better that she can’t see it.
Francesca nods.
“How does it make you feel about you?” Dominique wonders, gentle.
“Like I shouldn’t be in the family.  And they’d be happier then.” Francesca sighs.

Bionn Halthcharon’s School’s Out Journal
This. This is best journal so far. This is when i finally nailed down his character. yes he is a rude boy but there’s way more to him than most people think. and he writes like he talks, natch for MH doll logs. Also the lil journal taglines gonna be above the read more
Readin' this without my permission just shorts my circuits!
September 16th
My motherboard's gonna kill me. I'm serious. How am I gonna explain to her that the slip I'm bringin' home is because I panicked and weaponed up 'cause someone tapped me on the shoulder. I didn't know who it was at first and honestly it's a reflex. Ya see, back when I lived and protected Motor City, you didn't know who was gonna ambush ya. And yeah, I apologized and we're totally cool now, I guess, but Momboard's not gonna care about that. She's just gonna dwell on the fact that I came home with a warnin' slip and no matter how many times I tell her that it's under the rug now, she won't listen. She'll just yell at me until I storm off or if she gets tired of shoutin' at me (which I doubt she will. Momboard's scary.).
I can just imagine it now. I don't wanna put up with that today. Maybe I'll just throw the slip away during lunch or hide it. But then again, it needs to be brought back with her signature. This is a problem.
September 23rd
Man, I can't wait until the last day of school gets here. It means I'll (hopefully) be seeing less of Heath Burns. Don't get me wrong, he's okay I guess... but he's just not the type of manster I'd normally hang out with. He's just got somethin' about him that always seems to irritate me. Seriously. He doesn't even have to speak to do it. All he has to do is walk next to me and suddenly I get this look on my face. Like somethin' smells bad. And he's always trying to invite me to go with him and his friends for some "bro time", whatever that is. I haven't exactly grasped slang yet. Well slang that normal teens use.
Sure his friends are nice and all even if I've only talked to 'em a couple times but it's Heath I can't stand. I don't know why. And I bet on the walk to the lockers after Home Ick he's gonna ask me to hang out with him. This is gonna be a long day.
September 25th
Dad wasn't home when I woke up. I guess he went to the die-ner. He's been goin' to that die-ner every Saturday morning since we've moved here. And I had to know what kind of secrets that place was holdin' because why would my dad go there every Saturday? So I left a note on the table and went down to the die-ner. It was pretty early in the morning, so there weren't a lot of monsters out. I made my way down to the die-ner and I was feeling pretty tense. I'm not sure why. But instead of findin' some weird secret, I found Dad and a bunch of mad scientists talkin' and eatin'...pancakes?
I know my Dad's kind of well.... kind of a nerd but I really wasn't expectin' this. So I turned to leave before one of his friends (I think) said "Hey Grave, isn't that your kid?". Boy, did that make me stop in my tracks. I never felt so mortalfied. I was pretty sure I was rustin' where I stood. And Dad noticed it. Ooh boy did I wanna go offline so badly. But he invited me over and had me sit with him and his friends. Dad's friends are actually pretty nice and super funny. But it's still super weird since I didn't even know Dad could act like a regular monster. And I say that because well... he's Dad. Normal ain't somethin' that runs in the family.
And we ate somethin' called "banana scary pancakes". That's the first time I've had them and I've gotta say, they ain't half bad. And someone from school was there. What was her name again? Frankie? Anyways, she must've been with her dad too. I didn't talk to her much but she seems like a decent ghoul. Dad seems to respect her dad. And they were talkin' about the plans they drew up when it came to buildin' us, which was super embarrassin'. But ya know...
It's strangely comfortin' to know that I'm not the only person that was built in a lab.
October 1st
Jeez, I'm starting to come down with a bad rustin' problem. You forget to oil your joints and it comes back and kicks you in the behind. I really hope no one notices... Shelley's been trailin' behind me in between classes. I know it's her anxiety and that's fine, but I know she's concerned about me. It's a really bad problem right now since I'm movin' soooo sloowly... no offense to zombies, they're nice monsters, and now I know how they feel when they go from place to place. I can't count how many times I got shoved around in the hallway on the way to Biteology. Oh wait, yes I can. 22. 22 times! I mean, it took a while to get get there but at least Heath kept a seat warm for me. Oh great... his fire puns are startin' to rub off on me...
He spent pretty much all of class talkin' to me and I just muttered responses. I wasn't in the best mood and I'm pretty sure he caught onto that. I mean I don't mean to be a jerk to the guy, it's just that you'd be in a bad mood too if you were rustin' over. And after a very long time (or it felt like that) Biteology always drains my battery and havin' to slowly walk to my locker wasn't helpin' things. I would have teleported there but that module rusted over. Shelley was still in class and I was just gonna hafta grin and bear it. But then I just heard someone say "Need help?". So I turned around as fast as I could (which wasn't very fast, again rust. Ugh.) and there's the ghoul from the die-ner.
Normally I'd turn that down because I'm super prideful but in this case, I needed the help. "Hey I saw you at the die-ner the other day! Your dad's friends with mine?". I would've shrugged. "Yeah I guess.". "You're Bionn right?", she asked. I nodded. "And you're Frankie? ...Uhhh... did I get that right?", I asked. She nodded. Things were quiet for a while before she spoke up. "Uh so, how do you like Monster High? Since it's your first year here and all.". "Oh uh... it's great here! Yeah." I ain't the best at talkin' to other monsters. It kinda sucks, pun unintended. She smiled and said it was good. We continued to walk until I saw Heath, putting his book away.. "Hey, there's my locker!". We stopped. Frankie waved. "Hey Heath!". He turned around and well, he flamed up. I rolled my eyes. Honestly, it's kinda sad. I can't tell ya how many times he's done that whenever a ghoul walked past us. And all the times he's set my books and homework on fire.
So while he was chattin' up a storm with her, I just grabbed what I needed to grab out of my locker and go. Though I did let him know he was gettin' out of hand on the way out. Good thing my elbow joints hadn't rusted yet. Can't really claim I elbowed him gently though.
October 7th
There's been this talk goin' around school about a huge fight between a couple of monsters named Clawd and Spectra. From what I can figure out there was somethin' about a rumor about this Cleo ghoul breakin' up with her boyfriend and Clawd gettin' together with her. I dunno, it sounds kinda stupid, ya know? Maybe it's because I don't get it. Shelley thinks it's dumb too. And people have been talkin' about it all day, not to mention it got super bad during lunch. Like I couldn't eat anything because that's all they could talk about and it was hard-drivin' me up the wall. I wish I could turn my hearin' off at times like this. Don't ruin lunch like that y'all. Just don't.
And ‘sides, why would you believe somethin’ ya read on the Internet?! It's called a rumor for a reason! It ain't that hard to analyze the story! Oh riiiigghhttt, I forgot, the whole teenager thing. Heh heh... whoops. But ya know, he more I think about, the more I can't help but be I dunno the word here... curious? Yeah. Oh, what am I sayin'?! I shouldn’t be focusin’ on this! But at the same time, I just wanna know what's goin' on, ya know?
October 13th
Eeugh, there's nothin' I hate more than bumpin' into Circutroy. Well, that's ain’t true. I hate a lot of other things but runnin' into my cousin is really high up there. It's pretty much the same thing with him. "You're outdated.", "Did you stop to recharge on the way here? You know how faulty batteries get get when they start to age.". “Blah blah perfect blah blah.” I swear, with how much of a jerk he is, he could give that Tora-somethin' ghoul a run for her money. Or milk I guess 'cause she a werecat 'n all. Though I ain’t much better myself. But at least I don't go around insultin' other monsters for not some stupid standard tripe.
I don't wanna talk to that lousy battery muncher ever again.
October 16th
Oh man, I can't tell if this is one of the best days I've had or the worst. Okay so lemme start off by sayin' Mad Science was cancelled today. All thanks to Heath. Basically we got some lab tech that was gift of a former student who's now a famous mad scientist. It was huge and kinda box-shaped and painted black except for a really shiny metal button about half way up on one of its sides. And just when the showcase was gonna start, ol' Hackington got called to the office. Why? Dunno, wish I could tell ya. Anyways before he left, he said “All right me little Pandoras – nobody touch the box while I’m gone.” And of course, the second he was gone, you-know-who had already blazed a trail to the box thing. At the time I just facepalmed because Heath + ANYTHING = disaster. I was waitin' for that snake-headed guy to turn him to stone or somethin'. (I think his name's Deuce. Or was it Domino? I don't know.) Or for someone to stop Heath before he made a fool outta himself.
Yeah, turns out no one wanted to do anything. We were just gonna let him fool around with a fancy box thing. What- what even is unlife? "Uh hey, you shouldn't be messin' with that.", I said, even though it wasn't gonna stop him at all. "Relax! I'm just checking it out!", he responded. And I facepalmed. Again. Anyways, the hothead was insistin' nothin' was gonna happen and he pushed the button. The box thing made like this whistle noise. It was high-pitched and annoyin'. Still, it caught him off guard and he stopped fiddlin' with the thing. I'm pretty sure everyone stopped holdin' their breath too. Er, anyone who could breathe anyway. Heath thought it must've been funny or somethin'. 'Course he'd find that funny. And then, HE WALKED BACK OVER TO THE BOX AND LEANED AGAINST IT. I just- I just... I'm pretty sure my processor stopped functionin' at that point in time. I'm also pretty sure I went through like, 5 stages of disbelief even though only one stage exists. That's how bad it was.
"See? I told you nothing was going to hap-" and that's all he could say before the box thing sprouted tentacles and ate him. At least, I think it ate him. I wasn't payin' that much attention. And there were like, the sounds of splashin' and somethin' bangin' against the box and Heath was yellin' for help. A second after, Hackington had come back and figured out what went down when he was outta the room. Thank goth that thing came with a remote because the second that thing was pointed at the box, Heath came flyin' outta it covered in gunk. I'm not gonna lie, I was havin' a really hard time tryin' not to laugh the entire time. Yeah I know, it's mean. But my family kinda spreads chaos and probably like it. It's not like I can help it, it's kinda in my codin'. Anyways we had to leave after that. Headless Honcho Bloodgood let us know that, yeah, he's fine. He's just gonna need a few days off. I mean, I kinda feel bad for him, but not that much.
I'm just glad me and my locker can get some goth-danged peace for once!
October 23rd
Man this day started off bad and ended up worse. Like this day was just bad. And not normal bad, Friday the 13th bad.
It all started earlier this morning when Pat-ick was havin' a fit over somethin', erggh. And thanks to his wailin' fit, he ended up turnin' one of Dad's projects into a fish creature.... thing... A fish creature that ended up eatin' my brand new gamin' console. So I now I gotta scrape up the money for it again. And the fish thing ended up latched onto my head somehow. I was so angry this mornin' I didn't even notice I had it on my head until I got to school, where a few monsters pointed it out. And laughed at me. And made fun of me for the entire day even when I got the thing off my head. Ugh...
Just to get away from the mockin' I hid out in the Gym. Should I have done that? No. No I shouldn't've. But I was gettin' really annoyed and I didn't wanna come home with another paper from the Headless Honcho cause I got into a fight. And I guess I must've zoned out or somethin' because the next thing I knew, the casketball team was in the Gym practicin' for somethin' comin' up. I dunno what for nor do I care all that much. Anyways, I go to leave the Gym and it turns out I was stressed out enough to get the bleachers on the ceilin'. Thank goth I teleported 'em back to the right spot before they hit the ground. I start to leave again and somethin' hits my foot. It's the casketball thing. I grab it and turn around to see the team's just starin' at me, waitin'.
"Hey dude, could you pass me that?", the werewolf asks. I think his name's Clawd. I've never really talked to him and the only times I've seen him is around lunch in the halls. Still, my heart component jumps for joy when he calls me dude. It feels like I'm bein' recognized as a manster and not just some weird ghoul. I nodded and threw it back to him. A little too hard. Whoops. Still he catches it without tumblin' over (must be that werewolf strength I’ve heard ‘bout) and tells me I've got one heck of a pass. Whatever that means. I think it's a sports thing. Anyways, the werewolf tells me that I should try out for the casketball team and that tryouts are gonna happen soon. Sports ain't really my thing. I've never played any but watchin' 'em just bores me, ya know? But I decide to be nice to him and tell him I might tryout sometime that before turnin' to leave. "Hey, you should grab lunch with us sometime! We can show you the ropes and stuff.", he suggests. "You know, just hanging with the guys?" I smile and tell him I might just take him up on that. The werewolf guy smiles back and says "Alright man, catch you later!" before they start practicin' again.
The day wasn't too bad after all, I guess. How could it be one I'm startin' to become one of the mansters?

Monster High Love is in Tomb part 4
The next day at school Will walked hand and hand with Specky, she was wearing spider web headband Will bought her. She skipped down the hall happily while holding hands, a huge smiled plastered on her face.
Nefera was lurking around waiting for Wicka and Neighthan to come through, she took a Heart Possession charm from her father’s vault.
Nefera waited for a while until Wicka and Neighthan came in. She grinned and aimed the charm at him, it glowed as it activated.
Draculaura ran in waving a note from Clawd in her hands as the beam shot at Neighthan. She bumped into Will by accident and pushed him in the way.
The beam struck him and his eyes changed from brown to orange, he stiffened and stared straight ahead.
“Uh Will, are you okay?” Specky looked concerned.
Will nodded slowly. “Yeah, just fine.” He turned and looked at where Nefera was hiding.
“Oh by the Egyptian Kings, clumsy bat.” Nefera grumbled.
Will stared at Nefera for a minute then walked over to her. “I love you.”
“What?” She looked shocked.
“WHAT?” Wicka, Specky, and they’re ghoulfriends looked shocked.
“I said I love you, with all my heart.” Will said sincerely as he kissed her hand.
Nefera stared at him in confusion and disgust before she saw tears in Specky’s eyes. “Aw how wonderful, I love you too.” She grinned at the group of stunned friends.
Specky ran off crying as Wicka and Frankie chased after her. She ran into the ghoul’s restroom and balled all four of her eyes out in front of the mirror.
“I don’t know why he did that Specky.” Wicka looked more angry than confused.
“I’m so sorry Specky, you guys were so good together.” Frankie tried to comfort her by patting her back.
Wicka boiled with anger and marched out the restroom straight up to her brother. “William Omega what do you think you’re doing?!”
Will stared at her blankly like he didn’t understand what she was staying.
“Don’t give me that dump look you jerk. Specky is in the ghoul’s room crying right now because of you!” Wicka was so angry her magic mark turned from teal to blood red.
Nefera smirked as she held Will’s hand. “So what? Apparently she’s not good enough for him, he’s grown tired of her.”
“Wicka glared at her as her eyes turned as red as her magic mark. “YOU, WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME BROTHER?!”
“No need to yell.” She frowned and covered her ears.
“Please tell Specky I’m sorry, it just wasn’t working out between us.” He shrugged, frowned, and walked away with Nefera.
Wicka yelled in frustration and stomped away, Cleo, Lagoona, Draculaura, and Clawdeen looked from one end of the hall to the other very stunned.
  Through Will’s eyes
“Um, so Nefera, do you really love me?” He smiled shyly.
She groaned quietly. “Of course I do, and when the Eclipse Moon shines down on us on Valentine’s night, we will be linked together forever.”
“I’m glad we’ll get to spend the rest of our unlives together.” He blushed.
‘He might be useful to me.’ Nefera thought to herself as she grinned.
Her grip on his hand tightened slightly as they walked to the front of the school.
After school Frankie and Ghoulia pried Specky out of the restroom and took her home. She was a complete mess, mascara was streaking down her face, her lipstick was smudged, and her face was wet with tears. They explained to her parents what happened at school and went home feeling bad for her.
“Why would Will break up with Specky? They were voltage together.” Frankie frowned.
“Not to mention Specky was going to surprise him on Valentine’s Day.” Lagoona added.
“And where did Wicka go?” Clawdeen wondered.
After she stormed away from her brother she went to the family forest to meditate, after doing some reading a while ago she learnt the houses she and her Alpha cousins live in were part of their family’s history since forever. So she welcomed the silence the forever gave her and thought about how she wanted to kick her brother in his face with her pearly white boots.
“Will you idiot, what is going through your head?” She thought out loud.
She sighed and went to her brother’s room and grabbed the poem he wrote to Specky. “Maybe if I remind him why he wrote this, he’ll snap out of it.”
Wicka waited for Will to come home, but he never did.
“Mom, where is Will?!” Wicka yelled downstairs.
“He said he’s staying at a friend’s house!” She yelled back.
Wicka was bewildered, he never said anything about that. And whose house he be at?
  Through Will’s eyes
At the de Nile’s house Will sat in Nefera’s room combing her hair. He smiled sweetly at his false love as he ran her golden scorpion comb through her milky blue locks.
“Does that feels nice my princess?” Will blushed as the edges of his eyes turned dark purple.
“Yes it does, now can you massage my shoulders?” She grins at him.
“Of course princess.” He rubbed her shoulder as he continued to smile.
Cleo walked pass Nefera’s room and gasped when she saw Will in there. She took a picture with her Icoffin and sent it to Wicka.
Cleo looked at Will and saw that it looked like his eyes were turning purple and got the feeling something was wrong. She went to her father’s artifact vault and came across the problem, she found the empty Heart Possession bottle on the floor that Nefera forgot to put away.
She scowled and marched back to her sister’s room. “So that’s how you did it!”
“Did what?” Nefera pretended to play dump as she snapped her fingers for Will to stop.
“How you made Will fall in love with you.” Cleo frowned at her.
Will didn’t know what was going on, all he knew was that his new ghoulfriend’s sister was accusing her of something. “But Cleo, this is just the working of my heart. I love Nefera.”
“No you don’t Will, you love Specky Eightlegs.” Cleo rubbed her temple as she tried to reason with him.
Will shook his head as his eyes flashed brown then turned back orange. “I’m sorry Cleo, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You’re hurting my Willy’s head, so I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” Nefera smirked.
Cleo walked out and slammed the door behind her. “Specky calls him that.” Then she got an idea, she went to her room and texted Catty.

Diary of Abbey Bominable
This diary is not for your reading.
