Do you guys ever think about how the “Buffbo” phenomenon as a character design is based in the idea that Tubbo was so traumatised by his past experiences (and feelings of inadequacy and powerlessness) that he literally built armour out of his own body is a vain attempt to keep his tiny family safe — as well as to give himself at the very least the illusion of control — and that even when all his focus was concentrated on this one specific goal he still ultimately failed.

i must say, i quite enjoy Tubbo with weight gain. still gotta figure out smth for Ranboo but my main headcanon, at least for Tubbo:

after moving to Snowchester, Tubbo needed to keep warm. it would be quite inconvenient to have to wear fifty coats at all times to keep warm, so he found a better idea: gain weight. with the ability to actually rest and eat and having enough to eat, plus the concern of staying warm, i can imagine Tubbo makes sure to eat enough. and within time, he gains weight. it helps keep him insulated and warm on freezing nights and cold days. plus its more for Michael and Ranboo to cuddle, and who wouldn't want a warm, soft husband/father? also, it means he doesnt have to wear as many layers. one heavy coat with a sweater underneath, warm pants, boots with fur inside and fuzzy socks [for the hooves], and grown out hair to warm his neck and cheeks. fabulous.

love chubby and fat Tubbo so much. despise skinny. muscle mass could also work for this, but ehm.. not much of a fan of Buffbo. im sorry, something just keeps me from liking it.
