Bootsy Collins Recovering from Surgery; Planning New Album with Buckethead
Bootsy Collins is recovering from surgery to remove a tumor from right ear.
The 65-year-old former Parliament-Funkadelic bassist said on Facebook that he's temporarily lost his hearing in his right ear and is having issues with his equilibrium.
"Keep holdin' me up Funkateers!," he said. "Share the love, vibes and prayers! Let their (sic) P-Moe-Funk!"
The day after talking publicly about his recovery, Collins was back on Facebook to say he and guitarist Buckethead will begin work on a new album "as soon as I get my ear back."
"We both know how important it is to keep the flock funked up & bucketbotted out!," he said. "The album title alone u will love."
There is no release date for the record, whose title remains unknown.
