What If...Earth Faced Hala's Mightiest Heroes?
Tumblr media
So here’s a new What If…? Idea I’ve been cooking up for a while, based on Fantastic Four Vol. 3 #15 from 1999.
(In this alternate universe, shortly after the Battle of New York when the universe was noticing Earth’s true capabilities, the Kree, still reeling from the destruction of the Civil War, decided to keep tabs on and plans to conquer the planet, seeing the possible threats of it if it could take on Thanos’ fleet. Due to this, Dar-Benn’s quest for the Quantum Bands began earlier in this universe, finding it on planet MB-418 sooner than expected, before turning her attention back to C-53 itself.
Upon learning of the collapse of S.H.I.E.L.D. via their sleeper cells and Ronan’s attack on Xandar and the Nova Corps, Supremor Dar-Benn, Yon-Rogg, and the rest of the Kree armada took the chance, invading the planet. Upon conquering all the Avengers, Eternals, and other potential threats, they colonized the planet for themselves, deeming it as their new Hala: Kree-Lar.
Ten years have passed as more Kree populated and took over the planet:
- Starforce used the fallen Avengers’ tech and weapons to become the planets new “heroes,” though winning over public perception was a long and arduous effort. - Yon-Rogg found an orphaned Kamala Khan during the search for the other Quantum Band, who he took pity on and brought in along with the Bangle. Khan became close friends with a bright young Kree Cadet, Mel-Varr, who she nicknamed “Kid Kree.” Both ended up joining Starforce, following close behind the orders of their commander. - Carol Danvers attempted to stop the invasion of her home, only to have her powers siphoned off by the Quantum Bands. Danvers, the Rambeaus, Nick Fury and their remaining allies went underground, forming a small resistance that grew over time with other oppressed civilians. Danvers also adopted the moniker of Warbird due to this outcome, fighting from the shadows without her powers. - Forces like Thanos, Ego, the Sovereign, the Nova Corps, the Asgardians, the Skrulls, and the Guardians of the Galaxy fell to Dar-Benn and the Kree Empire. After conquering all the rival worlds to their own, they quickly became the dominant reigning galactic force.
However, ten years after settling on Kree-Lar, tensions are growing not only against the Kree from the Resistance, but also from within their society. Dar-Benn is so committed to keeping the Kree in power that she has developed plans to build a mutagenic machine with the Bangles to empower all Kree with it’s energies, allowing them to rise further into power.
Faced with preserving their civilization or fighting for a better future, the members of Starforce become divided, questioning themselves and their actions. Yon-Rogg, whose resolve had been challenged by the recent events, wonders if this is really worth it for the “Good of all Kree.” He has also developed a deteriorating relationship with Dar-Benn, due to her adamance to keep the Kree strong at the expense of all other.
On a stealth mission to recover potential stolen data from the rebels, Yon-Rogg and Kamala encounter Carol among them, finding sick refugees with her, a good many of them Kree with a purple sickness apparently inflicted upon them. That’s when they realize the hazardous truth about Dar-Benn’s plans and what it could lead to if she goes through with it.
After the rest of Starforce arrives and sees what is it they were truly sent after, the team becomes divided and sides begin to form, with those like Kamala, Mel-Varr, and Bron-Char siding to protect the refugees and others like Att-Lass and Ty-Rone siding to carry out the Supremor’s orders. Eventually, after a tense standoff with Carol witnessing everything, Yon-Rogg eventually breaks it by shooting the weak spot in Att-Lass’s armor, before running off with his side and the rest of the refugees.
Upon arriving at the rebel base and linking up with the other insurgents, the rebel Starforce units work up a plan with the Resistance to prevent Dar-Benn’s plan. During this brainstorming session, Carol and Yon-Rogg have a very long an tense debate amongst themselves, deciding to put aside what happened to them in the past to stop the Supremor and save the planet.
After intiating their plan, the Resistance Starforce, with Carol, Monica Rambeau, and their allies infiltrate the the Capital Building where the Bangles are being kept. Upon arrival, they were ambushed, and captured, with the rest being thrown in the brig while Yon-Rogg and Carol were brought to witness Dar-Benn’s machinations. She activates the device, only for it to malfunction before their eyes.
Thankfully, having planned this, they had Mel-Varr break out of the prison with Kamala and sabotage the system’s satellite codes, inverting its power on itself and destroying the machine. Furious at this, Dar-Benn and her loyalists attack the rebels and a massive fight ensues, causing much chaos as everyone attempts to get the bands.
Kamala manages to get her Bangle back, as Yon-Rogg manages to throw the other to Carol to restore her powers. Dar-Benn grabs it before she catches it and fatally stabs her with her Cosmi-Rod. As Dar-Benn taunts her with the band, Carol takes the chance to her advantage, clasping it onto her arm and reactivating her powers, using them to clobber the enemy Kree.
As Dar-Benn attempted to escape, Carol gives Yon-Rogg the other Bangle to hold his own. After the two defeat the guards, a two-on-one fight ensues with the Supremor, which ends with them pinning her to the ground as she tempts them to kill her, telling them to do it for the Good of all Kree. Yon-Rogg hesitates for a moment, but instead breaks her Cosmi-Rod in two, deciding to be better for the good of everyone.
After Dar-Benn is taken in along with her loyalists, Yon-Rogg, Kamala, Mel-Varr, and Bron-Char all agree to aid Carol and the Resistance with the relief efforts, hoping to build a better future together. The New Starforce officially embraces their role as the next Avengers, protecting the Galaxy they know and helping rebuild it into a better one.)
Sorry if the bio’s a bit lengthy, but I thought it would be a fun idea for Season 3 of What If…? coming sometime soon. And of course, before I forget, here’s the roster for this versions of Starforce:
Dar-Benn/Supremor Ty-Rone/Seism Att-Lass/Titanium Man Yon-Rogg/Magnetron Bron-Char/Captain Cosmos Kamala Khan/Stormranger Mel-Varr/Kid Kree
IDK, let me know what you guys think of this! Hope you like it!

Tumblr media
I colored one of my Kinktober drawings. It took me this long to make Bron-Char/Korath, that’s a shame.
This year, I think I will move on from tumblr. Out of more than 600 posts last year, my highest post got about 100 notes, and most got less than 10. It’s no one’s fault, social media just isn’t built for making connections. I never got ‘whispering in the tags’ and slogging through unrelated text posts to find art was just not worth it. (and boy did I dodge a bullet never having to figure out twitter!). Plus I’m tired of covering up the porn.
So I’ve made a personal discord. Think of it like my homepage with a really big comment section. I will post all my art and other stuff, anyone can hang out and chat and post their stuff. It seems weird, but, I’m on discord more than anything so I think its worth the try! https://discord.gg/43SpA4gpvP
I will post some more of my backlog here (what can be posted uncensored) and I will not delete the blog because I need to find things here XD. But yeah, moving on.

Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans Masterpost Part 2 - Cyclase Mayer and Gjallarhorn
Tumblr media
Okay, Cyclase. I don’t really have that much to say on his origin - there’s nothing wrong with “disgruntled former archeologist whose parent was murdered by gjallarhorn”, but it just doesn’t really grab me for some reason. I do still love how utterly unrepentant he is about his numerous betrayals. He does have *some* similarities with Mcgillis for me, but that’s probably only because Mcgillis sees Gundam Frames (or rather, Bael) as the end-all of strength, whereas Cyclase sees Mobile Armours. It’s interesting how they’ve both been negatively influenced by Iznario Fareed however.
It took me a weirdly long time to realise that Cyclase was a Char Clone. Then again, I was comparing him to Mcgillis basically from the start, so……
Hm. I think that the fight at the end with the mobile armour (Mebahiah) is supposed to be an illustration of Afam and Cyclase’s differing philosophies - Afam wins because he has his friends with him to back him up, forming an effective force against the mobile armour, whereas Cyclase, who has sought power in solitude, has his “champion” defeated. It’s further shown with how they treat their allies, with Wistario visiting each in turn and thanking them, while Cyclase just rebuffs Tagging’s attempt at small talk.
Wait, so what was the point of Omden Colony Corporation/Cyclase getting two rings? That feels like it should be significant in some way. I assumed that it was either to emphasise their ruthlessness (they killed someone else for their ring) or the scale of the company (they’d managed to obtain two on their own), but in practice it just means Cyclase has two guides.
Given what mobile armours are capable of - hey, maybe Gjallarhorn was right to suppress the technology? Just gonna throw that out there. Like, the more of them we see, the easier it is to believe how deadly they were, and why the Gundam’s were so necessary. Though obviously, that doesn’t justify Gjallarhorn’s murder of Doctor Mayer.
Speaking of that, it’s possible that that was just an accident which Gjallarhorn had no part in, and Cyclase is just jumping to conclusions. That said, why I think he’s right is the fact that it’s Iznario Fareed, the shadiest seven star of them all. If it had been someone else then maybe you could say Cyclase was wrong, but Iznario? Yeah, definitely murder.
“Does this mean…… the mobile armour isn’t a higher form of being?” - Cyclase, buddy, it’s a giant robot that wants to kill all humans, it’s not that hard a concept to grasp. I do kinda love how absolutely crushed he is that his plan failed though. Like, no “hm, an imperfect god” or “this is but a temporary setback”, he’s genuinely pissed that this didn’t work out and even his “I’ll start again” thing feels like he’s desperately trying to save face. All in all, he’s a good villain because of what he does and how he does it, more so than who he is.
Tumblr media
Okina Uroka is an interesting character, especially in contrast to Londo Bron, since they both want the same thing, but go about it in different ways. I like his design, it feels very good for an “old retainer”. I’m genuinely unsure how much power he held in the Issue family when Carta was still alive, since he doesn’t seem at all unused to power. It’s also nice because it’s another exploration of the consequences of Tekkadan’s actions in the main series, showing the far-reaching effect they had.
Another interesting detail is that Okina Uroka mentions “the Baklazan and Falk Families Calculations have been a great comfort to us” and Mcgillis states that they “hadn’t lost their privileges”, so could they also be heirless? If so, it could be that we’re witnessing Gjallarhorn finally crumbling since the Noble families that compose it are really struggling with their lines of Succession. Huh, the Fareed’s also kinda count here, since Iznario’s has no “legitimate” heirs (i.e. by blood). This also presents a fascinating possibility of why the Gundam Murmur wasn’t seen/used - the vault’s locked to a blood relation of the Fareed’s which Mcgillis isn’t, so he wouldn’t have been able to access it.

list of scenarios \ ✧ / accepting @particlexxdealer sent: transit
Sometimes Carol just enjoyed riding the bus. She didn’t get to do it often as most worlds she visited, they were encountering problems that ordinarily saw the transit system shut down (or, more commonly, entirely destroyed). Earth wasn’t one of those worlds, thankfully. It was a habit she’d picked up on Hala, and she couldn’t rightly remember if it was something she enjoyed before that. She could recall zooming around in her Mustang, and she still very much loved going fast… but something about riding a train, the subway, or a bus, she found soothing.
She used to ride the tram system on Hala all the time. Sometimes with Yon-Rogg, or Att-Lass, and Bron-Char. But there’d been a bunch of times she simply rode it on her own. On Hala, it’d been more about trying to rein in her emotions. Trying to be the best she could be.
On Earth, well… it was complicated, but did Carol enjoy people watching – and wow was there people here to watch. The Kree were nearly always subdued with their emotions and personal wants, because everything was done for the Good of All Kree.
Carol flinched then from an uncomfortable pang from within her skull. She exhaled and returned to watching. Humanity had a decidedly different approach with emotions.
Her thoughts were interrupted when someone sat down next to her. She frowned initially, there were plenty of seats on the bus, why sit next to her? The answer was simple: he knew her.
Carol’s gentle frown turned into a surprised smile as she was joined by Scott. She slid her headphones into her pocket.
“Hi,” she said, “didn’t expect to see you here.”
Her gaze flicked to the bag in his lap. It looked like an ordinary knapsack, but the way he clung to it… did he seem nervous?

In a recent conversation with The Direct, Iman Vellani dropped some truth bombs about Marvel needing to reconnect with its audience by making them care about the characters once more. She expressed, "I don’t know if it’s about just getting bigger and bigger and bigger because then, like, what’s left? You know, I think it’s just about making the audience care about their characters."
Well, guess what? I'm here to pick up the care baton, especially for those underappreciated characters from Captain Marvel that deserved a proper sequel. And where do I start? Deleted scenes, of course! Starforce edition.
“HEADING TO TORFA” Also known as the Starforce banter scene because it unveils glimpses into the diverse personalities of the elite Kree team. This scene begins with all six members returning to reality after seemingly communicating with the Supreme Intelligence. Here are their individual reactions:
Yon-Rogg and Korath emerge as the epitome of calm and composure, a rational response befitting their roles as commander and second-in-command. It’s reasonable to assume that the Supreme Intelligence is engaging them in strategic discussions, sharpening their minds before embarking on their mission. The camera skips Minn-Erva's reaction. (In an interview with Jude Law and Gemma Chan this question popped up, but they only talked about who Yon-Rogg sees) Moving forward, Vers exudes an air of control, her immediate attention directed towards the chip at her neck. In contrast, Bron-Char's sharp exclamation upon opening his eyes suggests a momentary disorientation or surprise.
Yet, Att-Lass clearly takes center stage. Att-Lass, my poor blue boy, is depicted blinking through tear-filled eyes, a solitary tear tracing a path down his cheek. WHAT could evoke such a strong response from him? The Supreme Intelligence is known to be cruel, but in this context, it doesn’t make any sense. So I have no clue, but here’s a quote from the actor Algenis Perez Soto, “He looks up to her [Vers], as a big sister, and I’ve really liked this closeness that they have in the film.” Considering Att-Lass's reputation as someone who shares deep connections within Starforce, it’s possible that the emotional impact stems from the sight of all his comrades assembled together? I bet they had to remove this scene because the test audience liked it too much, and because it makes Att-Lass’ last line “Don’t make me do this” 100x more heart-wrenching.
“STARFORCE RECRUITS”. Now this stands out as my favorite scene for numerous reasons. Brie Larson's words that Vers and Yon-Rogg share "a very loving relationship" isn't an exaggeration; this scene, clocking in at under two minutes, serves as living proof. Here are a few noteworthy observations that have already resonated within the fandom:
Yon-Rogg assumes a surprisingly gentle demeanor akin to a teacher addressing children, prompting a smile from Vers, who then teases him not once, but twice. Yon-Rogg reciprocates with laughter, seizing the opportunity to commend her greatness. Interestingly, he appears entirely comfortable with being teased. However, when a question surfaces that he knows has the potential to hurt Vers, he immediately shifts gears, halting the conversation and maintaining a vigilant gaze to ensure her well-being. This brief scene captures the nuances of their relationship, highlighting moments of warmth, banter, and a protective instinct. But of course, there’s something more. Here is a quote from Vers I keep coming back to: “The Commander is right about the Skrulls. They took everything from me. My HOME, my family, my memory. Our leader, the Supreme Intelligence SAVED me, gave me purpose, and this implant-...”
It's not the specific choice of words or how Vers delivers the lines that perplex me; rather, it's the subtle yet intriguing background action that unfolds. At the precise moment she utters the words emphasized in capital letters, Yon-Rogg's head abruptly whips around to look at her. And what makes this all the more intriguing is that it happens not just once, but twice. Whether it's a matter of timing or editing decisions, I initially found it somewhat humorous. However, with time, the humor faded, leaving behind a sense of sadness. Let me explain.
Vers, indoctrinated by the Supreme Intelligence, firmly believes that Skrulls were responsible for the devastation in her life, including the loss of her family. Yon-Rogg, on the other hand, is entrusted with selling this fabricated narrative. He feeds Vers the lies, and she, in turn, echoes them to those around her, continuing the circle of lies that only intensifies with each retelling. So back to the observation. Is Yon-Rogg cringing at her words because they were scripted for her, or is he discontent upon hearing Vers credit her salvation to the S.I? Whatever the case, the scene should’ve been included.
“WHO DO YOU SEE?” Each member of Starforce, and indeed every Kree warrior, has a distinctive relationship with the Supreme Intelligence. Jude Law even says, "My character has a very particular relationship with the Supreme Intelligence which becomes revealed and is quite complex, ultimately very revealing of what motivates. I’ve kind of based him almost on a sort of, not religious fanatic, but he’s got a kind of divine sense of purpose because of his relationship with this greater being."
Complex is a good word because I don’t think I can fully explain the scene, but it changes everything. This scene serves to confirm Yon-Rogg's feelings for Vers, particularly evident in the line "You were blinded by your feelings for her." Throughout the movie, he consistently makes decisions in her favor, showcasing a stark departure from his earlier stance on "not letting emotions rule one's head." This shift becomes strikingly apparent when she’s in peril, and Yon-Rogg takes decisive action to protect her. His choice to mislead Ronan the Accuser is one example. The scenes also shows the brutality of the Supreme Intelligence and it’s uncertain what happens to him after the film. I’m hoping he could return at some point in the future of the MCU.
As if the included deleted scenes weren't enough, the mere thought of what's been shot but never published has me on edge. But that’s for another post.

You know how on Earth lesbian sex is usually seen as less “icky” than sex between two men? Like if you look for porn straight and lesbian sex is always in the same category while gay sex is it’s own separate thing?
The Captain Marvel movie makes it seem like the Kree have the opposite view. You got Bron-Char and Korath who are fine with telling each other how sexy they are, but Minn-Erva is like ew don’t touch me with Carol. I know there’s an in story explanation for why Minn-Erva doesn’t like Carol but the way the genders treat each other really jumped out at me.
