Constantly thinking about quest deadlines. Like, I understand there needs to be not only the danger of monsters and gods and such, but also the clock ticking for the storyline to be so compelling, but also like DAMN you’re choosing 12 year olds to TRAVEL ACROSS THE COUNTRY and you’re giving them what? A week? 10 days? It varies, but every time WITHOUT FAIL the gods are like “oh yeah btw you know this life threatening journey? Be back on Monday”.

Additionally, they do this to kids, 12-15 year olds who have DISABILITIES!!! Bro can get an extra 30 minutes on a standardized test with an open book policy but GOD FORBID he gets more than seven days to fulfill a heroes quest. You can’t look at me and tell me this is not just another “tee hee fuck you” from the gods, like less than three days into their journey in the Lightning Thief, Percy, Annabeth and Grover were like “hey we have time, let’s go completely off track and go see the Gateway Arch! Let’s not take this margin of free time to try and get ahead, I wanna see some cool shit!” And I support them, I adore them, but really? You’re looking at Mr. Jackoff and his ragtag band of hyperactive, vaguely autistic preteens and you’re like “yeah they’re gonna get there on time”. Be SO FR right now.

but for some small ones i have. aubrey and kel are gym bros but instead of motivating each other by being supportive they set incredibly unrealistic goals and make it a medium-stakes competition to get them the fastest. mari gave a lot of her old clothes that didn't fit her anymore to aubrey: after she died her clothes were either given to aubrey or donated to a goodwill or something & aubrey bought a bunch back with her own shitty customer service job money. speaking of mari and aubrey, wouldn't it be fun if they used to paint their nails together at sleepovers and as a child aubrey painted her nails a lot bc it reminded her of the fun sleepovers with mari but after mari died she stopped because it reminded her that everyone who loved her was essentially dead, even if they didn't really die

30 why is omori special to you?

honestly im not even sure. maybe because of the guilt and the grief. there's just something i really really love about media with a 'i loved you more than myself and i hold myself responsible for your death regardless of whether or not it was my fault, so i've sealed away all of my trauma and created a happy world where you and i and everyone we love can live together forever'.... in fact before i even knew about omori i created a story that follows more or less that exact premise, and im still working on it today (not that im ever going to finish it).

maybe it's also bc the friend group & the situation reminds me a lot of a certain friend group that i had that i was still processing the fallout from when i first played the game? or maybe i just like angst lol

Dont you find it funny that in the anime world(or any fandom world) the characters we find really attractive in their world don’t get any kind of the same attention we would love to shower them with? Like Sanji for example, if he was in our world he’d have a lot and I mean A LOT of people fawning over him but in his world HES the one to chase the girls (srry if this is confusing)

So, this was gonna be my new Kig V2 logo, but I have “trying to make it” brain and I appreciate that it was a little to clean and artsy and tribal and not “alternative underground hip hop” enough, so I went with the rougher, low-effort draft.

I love them both but having your hand forced on seemingly meaningless decisions (because if you don’t nail 90%+ of the opportunities that God / Algorithm throws at you then you will flunk out) feels very...uhh...what’s a word for being forced to do things you don’t want to...um...
