An Account of Rayquaza's Chosen Chapter 5: Dazzling Dizzying Doldrums Defying!✨💖

Fic Description: Mare Birch is not happy. Her mom finally kicked her asshole dad to the curb, which is good, but now she's getting remarried and they're moving to Littleroot Town in the Hoenn region, which is bad. To make matters worse, she keeps having horrible nightmares of two titanic Legendary Pokemon engaged in a monumental clash. Thankfully, she has an out. Her Uncle is going to send her on a Pokemon Journey! That should help clear her head and make things better, right?

Hahahahaha! Wrong! Things are about to get a lot more complicated and the world is about to be in a lot more danger. And there's only one short tempered, short statured 12 year old who can save it.

Chapter Description: Mare and Brendan arrive in Slateport, ready to take a break and see the sights. Unfortunately, Team Aqua and a certain Dazzling, Dizzying Contest Star have other plans.

Good news everyone, here are May, Dawn, Max, Brendon and Lucas in there Costumes, Forgive the slight delay on this one, Just wanted to think on what BRendon would say they they get part of the Dissidia Contest of Champions.... Figured why not bring up the Idea of Either Pretty Cure All Stars or Battle Athlete's being the opponents of the Ketchum Alliance.

“OK, so it's this one and that one that live on Route 103... Huh? Hey, neighbor! Ohhh. So you finally got a Pokémon from my dad? Then how about a little battle? Since we're here and all! I'm going to teach you what being a Trainer's all about!”

More Hoenn with our first friendly rival! People weirdly seem to want the rivals to go back to being jerks like Blue and Silver were, and I don't know why, I was glad when they started being more on the friendly side. Though this guy sharing the name of a rather obnoxious younger kid at the daycare I was going to at the time made things...Interesting, especially when I couldn't just rename him even when I think he tried to get his mom (one of the workers) to make me rename him...thankfully if this really was the case and not a false memory, I think the mom would've realized that I hadn't named him in the first place, and honestly if that were possible I would've named him after one of my actual friends rather that the little hellion mama's boy... XD

brendan scenario

    pokemon, oras

soft hums filled the air as you brush through your newly gifted pikachu’s fur, the electric type sitting completely still on the dressing rooms table as it stared itself down in the large mirror.

you were entering a contest in the next hour and wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly. it was your first contest after all, and you didn’t want to make a fool of yourself out there on stage.

your eyes strayed to the large mirror in front of you for a split second, catching a quick glance at brendan who had propped himself into a chair, grey-blue eyes staring directly at you without any real purpose.

you had invited him to come and stay in your dressing room with you in hopes that he could help to ease out your nerves a bit.

he’s been silently staring at you the entire time though, and if you were being honest, it probably just freaked you out further than you already were.

“brendan,” you call out to him as you focus back onto your pikachu. he gives a small hum in response to show that he had been paying attention to you.

“do you think i’ll do alright..? it’s my first time competing and all, so..” your words trail off due to uncertainty. brendan’s chair gives a low creek as he stands up, quickly making way to where you sit.

he looms over you as you sit silently, you’ve stopped brushing your pikachu as said pokemon turns to look over it’s shoulder at you. it’s mouth pressed together in confusion, yet it says nothing.

brendan is also silent, both of his hands making way to your shoulders as he grasps them firmly from behind. “look at me,” he sternly orders as you raise your head slightly looking straight ahead into the mirror.

yet instead of glancing at your own reflection, you glance at his. 

his eyes hold the sort of determination that you would see in any other pokemon trainer, but then again it feels different to you; it’s only so different because he’s the one staring at you like that-- brendan was the one trying to motivate you.

“this is only the beginning, and i know that it’s a bit scary but i know you’ll pull through,” he claims. “you’re a strong trainer, so i know that you’ll be fine,”

you watch carefully as brendan’s reflection leans down, releasing both of your shoulders before it’s crouching by your side.

only then is when you rip your eyes away from the mirrors reflection and towards him. brendan gives you a smile, and you can’t help but smile back. 

he’s now at eye level with you, face presumably very close to your own as he speaks. “you’ve got this,” he says before leaning forward and placing a small kiss to the corner of yours lips.

your cheeks flush with heat from the contact as he stands back up straight, waltzing back to his chair in the corner as he inevitability leaves you a mess. 

Hey look another writing idea I had with Hisuian Ara. Just a synopsis for now, long under the cut though

Ara grows increasingly frustrated at her lack of memories, and the slow rate at which she's recovering them. Honestly, she's not even sure if she will recover them all at this point- she still doesn't even fully remember her friends and family! At some point, she finally expresses this to them, and Steven has an idea. He remembered a legend he once heard of the Pokémon Jirachi, which can grant wishes. He did some research and found that it's been nearly a thousand years since Jirachi was last documented to be awake, and suggests to Ara that they make a wish to it for her to recover her memories. She thinks this is a good idea and they go to find it, accompanied by Ingo, Brendan, and Wally.

They do find Jirachi, and Ara realizes only one note on its head is not written on. Only one wish, then. Just as she's about to write her wish, Volo appears. How, she doesn't know. But he smiles, and she doesn't trust him. How could she, after he betrayed her? He asks her, why wish for her memories? She was happy without them, in Hisui. She was happier before she returned to Hoenn, a home that isn't hers. She doesn't belong anymore. She belongs in Hisui, as a member of the Survey Corps., not the Champion. Hasn't she said this herself? Why wish for the memories you don't truly want? Wish to return to Hisui.

She doesn't trust him. After everything he did, and the fact that he's somehow here? But he makes a good point. She wonders if she should return to Hisui. The only home she remembers, with friends she knows, and those who may as well be her family. But her friends step up. They've heard about Volo and what he's done from Ara recounting her adventures. He's manipulating her, he's got some sort of plan, they tell her (correctly assumed). They tell her to make her own choice, don't let Volo corrupt her decisions. He responds that he is letting her make her own decision- he's just presenting another option that he thinks would benefit her. Somehow, a battle breaks out, with Ingo, Steven, Brendan, and Wally versus Volo. He's surprisingly strong, and the battle drags on. Ara can't join in. She's paralyzed by the choice she has to make. But she realizes, her friends are still her friends. She's even been referring to them as such this whole time. Despite her being separated from them for so long, not remembering them, and how she's changed in the time they weren't together, they've always been and always will be her friends. And she can't leave them again.

But, Volo was right about one thing. She was happy without her memories, and the most frustrating thing about not having them is not remembering the people she loved. But now she's with them again, recovering her memories alongside them, and happy to make new ones. She doesn't need them all back now. And with her choice settled, she writes her wish on the note. Her friends manages to drive back Volo, who flees. Ara thanks them for their help and tells them she's written her wish and is ready to awaken Jirachi. And when Jirachi awakens, she isn't sent back to Hisui. But she doesn't suddenly recall everything she was missing. Everyone is confused, but suddenly Ingo freezes. "Ara... What did you do?" he asks, in not a whisper, but the quietest voice she's ever heard him speak in.

"You're the one who wanted your memories back from the start, and the one who still has a home and family waiting that you haven't gotten back to, " she explains.

Because after all that, Ara wished for Ingo to regain his memories, not her. Jirachi flies away to grant the other wishes, and the group leave, making plans. They need to get Ingo back to Unova as soon as possible.

This is an Ask Blog for the Auraverse, a Pokemon AU by @backsetx. You can ask questions to any of the characters who appear in Auraverse stories but the main four characters who run this blog are...

Mare Birch (Age 12): A newbie Pokemon trainer who just moved to the Hoenn region from Johto. She's unusually strong for her size (4 feet) and build and can seemingly speak to Pokmon. She's filled with a lot of rage.

Brendan Birch (Age 11): Mare's cousin, son of Professor Birch. Another newbie Pokemon trainer who can come off as a bit of a smug brat at times. He and Mare are constantly bickering.

Wally L'Radiata (Age 10): A nervous young boy with a lung condition. He's tagging along with Mare and Brendan until they reach Verdanturf Town. He's new to this whole "adventure" thing.

Lorekeeper Zinnia (Age 13): The Lorekeeper of the Draconid people who is undercover as an agent of Team Magma named Blaize. She believes that Mare is important for completing her quest to find the Red and Blue orbs.

Unfortunately, because I'm not an artist there'll be no art accompanying this blog (unless I commission someone) and all answers will be given in a text format. Also, important to note, this is not a PKMN IRL blog, its just a classic style Ask Blog. You ask questions, the characters answer. Feel free to ask me questions too, here or on my main.

Ash, May, Max, Brendan, and Brock Tied Up and Gagged

Oh no... Ash, May, Max, Brendan, and Brock have been captured, tied up together, and gagged... by Team Rocket. And worse, ALL of our heroes’ Pokémon have been taken and shoved into the sack that Meowth is holding... and Pikachu and Jirachi are desperately trying to get out, but to no avail... and to make matters even more worse for our heroes, all our heroes’ Poké Balls are in the sack as well. 

Ash, May, Max, Brendan, and Brock are now completely helpless. Who will save our heroes? Who will save our heroes’ Pokémon?

TRIVIA 

1. This is literally the first time I ever drew Brendan Birch. 2. While making this, I originally wasn’t gonna have Ash, May, Max, Brendan, and Brock gagged, but halfway through, I changed my mind on that and added the cloths gagging our heroes. 3. May being tied up and gagged definitely provides that classic D.I.D. (Damsel in Distress) feeling.  4. I always wanted to draw a picture of Ash, May, Max, Brock, and even Brendan tied up and even gagged together... as there isn’t much art out there of this topic, so I thought I’d fill in the gaps of that genome a bit by making and showing this. ^^
