My FNAF AU has been sorted out. In the sense that the timeline has been re-written enough that I can go back to drawing it..
Now the next comic in the AU is a re-write/re-draw of my old FNAF comic, Moon Malfunction. A few months ago though there were several time sensitive projects that came up and I needed to shelf Moon Malfunction 2.0 until they were done. Well now they're all done.. but Moon Malfunction is gonna take me some time to get around to..
For the past few months I've been in a really bad spot mentally and physically. And taking on my FNAF Recap/Repair project is just not something I feel I have the mental energy to do at the moment.. All it feels like is a one big pile of work. And all I wanna do I just draw what ever comes easily to me and focus on recovering..
Soooo for the time being,, my main FNAF AU might not see any updates for a bit.. Though I haven't forgotten about it and I do want to get back to it at some point soon. But for now I want to cut any work out of my relaxing/drawing time and just draw what ever I want. Which atm is pirate cookies-- <XDD
They're also great for grabbing something across the room while I stay in bed 😎😎

If I tried to explain my thought/design process it would just be a lot of word spaghetti that boils down to "uhhh... I just drew it.,. aandd if it dont look good.. draw it differently.. until it looks good-"
My advice would be to look on YouTube for character design tutorials or ask some other artists that have artwork similar to mine and see if they can help. :( Again, so sorry! I wish I could articulate my thoughts better 💔💔

Now if the crew did face a violent altercation like that, I imagine their #1 goal would to protect the Octopod. That's their home man! They would probably do what ever they could to get the octopod away from the situation. Like the Captain manually piloting it and some of the crew being sent out in gups to distract the squid. Stuff like that :0

this was how i initially visualized things, the world is wiped out in a similar way to the end of Xtale but MK is still around. thats pretty much it <:] i dont really have any new ideas atm.. just trying to focus on school and stuff even if this is still on my brain
but ! the new idea as it's been discussed is: Xtale's world is still 'empty' but it doesnt become a white void. which most likely removes cross' fear of open white spaces BUT he'd still get some anxiety over being alone with no interaction whatsoever.
i imagine the order of meeting people is more or less the same with Ink introducing the multiverse more thoroughly, Error stealing Cross' soul and/or threatening MK's soul, Nightmare is attracted to Cross' anguish and then things.. continue. not sure HOW but i really want to draw Cross in this ruined Xtale and the horrors that would bring. how cross confronts his multiple lifetimes, the creeping feeling that he's always being watched, how he feels that he cant break down because it would negatively effect MK.

I can't sleep so how about I ramble about troupe Taka some more since I can't only draw him in the breaks between commissions and stuff but he has clearly infected my brain to the point of no saving it
-I am still thinking how the troupe itself works in this concept and since I started winging Grimm to the point of making him an OC esque, I figured I might as well do the same with the troupe.
-So I end up thinking what even drew Taka to just ditch the temples and join the troupe (aside from crushing on Grimm) and I always mentioned he was bored of the temples and wanted something fresh. But I also like to think he was just so mesmerized by the concept of nightmares, as the temples have such a unique dreamscape (but that's another story) they basically have no nightmares, like, ever. So he was drawn like a moth to the flame...
-I want to showcase a ritual of joining the troupe through Taka's perspective and what it feels like to be bound to the flame which is at the core connected to the nightmare heart. It's not a very pleasant experience but once it passes it's a rather freeing one!
-I think that contributes to his cockiness. He takes the role of the grimmkin as a fresh start where he is allowed to push boundaries. He is essentially "immortal" (i cant get into those details atm but some day aaa) and has a chance to fuck around and find out without getting into too much trouble. It also doesn't change the fact that he is still a very skilled fighter who underwent daily training for mind, soul and body, as such was the way of the temple's teachings. He's a bit of a chaotic person while at the troupe!
-I dont know if other troupe members would like him as much but he is still kind of a goofball at heart who knows when to get serious and how (and he is a little scary when serious...). I assume he would look for fun but it wouldn't be something other grimmkin of different, possibly more tragic or serious origins would be in the mood for.
-I imagine he tried to perform at the acts within the stage as an acrobat of some kind but I haven't decided on what yet. He's kind of a clown/jester adjacent. He can also use poles with fire and spin those for cool effects, since most of his fighting technique includes a staff that he skillfully flips, spins, swings and jabs with (thanks to his four arms). He can perform with fire staff with ease. However, he doesn't really keep the role of the entertainer for too long. He ends up mostly as a grimmkin flame keeper, waiting for summoners to try to take his flame and fight them. (i wrote some stuff about this and how it works but can't be bothered to copy paste it atm and it's not super Taka relevant I guess)
-The origin of his squinting I am very tempted to just go with Flame's suggestion that his vision just got worse over time without him realizing and it turned into a habit gjskgkjg! It's not like I have any other reason so heck it! This is a dude who should have been told to have his eyes checked but no one ever did. And he died with this bad vision too and it stuck around when he became a dream master ghost. Rip!
-He talks about his home but he is maybe not so inclined to talk about why he never had nightmares before. He doesn't know the full history behind his temple goddess and Grimm of the far long past but there is a good reason why Nightmare heart could never tap into the dream realm Taka and other Temple members are part of. Sometimes it's hard to tell if Grimm can tap into Taka's fears at all because of it (he can but not through mind and dreams but his heart, which is granted more difficult to read instead of directly just seeing the nightmare)
-Since he isn't like a ghost self where his mask just sort of floats "attached" to the back of his head, he mostly has it off while alive at the troupe, having it hanging by the thread around his neck, either on front or at the back. No matter what he wears and how, he always has his rosaries around his neck!
-He and Grimm have something going on, idk what that is but it's queer and that's all I need to know the vibes! I'm having a lot of fun with them as a "pair" lol

its kinda. him waking up in this new world struggling to adapt, thinking he's the last of his kind, thinking that he lost all his brothers. struggling to reconcile his identity as a medic with all these brothers he couldnt save. he gets involved fighting the first order. and then! in comes the winter solider. a mysterious figure thats plagued the galaxy for decades now. dipping in and out disappearing like a ghost. something about the story draws kix in and he finds himself doing more research. surprised to find that this killer fights like a clone. now he's even more interested. which of his brother trained this ghost? then he fights him and the guys mask falls off. and its kix's brother. kix realises that he must be controlled by the chip and has been being held in stasis between missions. then. its kix trying to save his brother. rn im thinking fox for the winter soldier figure but i have been playing round with him being another medic or possibly rex.

i havent seen anyone bother you about mave yet(? maybe i missed it) so i wanted to bother you about mave. People are *saying* that theyre ripping aespa but i think both mave and aespa ripping k/da. k/da is very successful in their own right but companies need to know they cant replicate something like that,,, not authentically at least. k/da had built in lore, built in fanfare from other artists fanbases and interesting music. if companies arent even gonna TRY with any of that theres no point
no one has! they're.......fine i guess? i have nothing really to say about them bc they're just kind of middle of the road. i AM however inclined to agree with you that they are ripping k/da. aespa i think gets it more right and i don't mind their ae concept as much as i thought i would bc it's pretty much just used for story + worldbuilding purposes, which is what that kind of thing works well for. mave is....pretty much just the end product of k/da without any of the whole ass game that the characters in k/da are based on. i did actually write a post about k/da ages ago, but they very much were a passion project of riot's that they didn't really have an idea if the whole thing was gonna work or not. and it was the combination of all of the factors (being made by very passionate people, having extremely talented top of the line animators involved, the game's fandom, and smart utilization of the actual medium itself) that made them pop off like crazy, not the formula of 'pretty animated idol women'. aespa is at least combining both traditional idol forms with some of those animated elements, and is doing it in a way that's in line with sm's conceptual branding (i don't mean the kwangya stuff, i mean they've always done concepts around techno orientalism, going all the way back to h.o.t). i don't really know what the more nuanced deal with mave is bc i've only seen the mv and it didn't grab me so i haven't bothered to look for more about them, but when you get down to it: idols are characters, especially the human ones. we've just been conditioned not to recognize them as such bc the fantasy hinges on everyone agreeing that it's all real. it's the ultimate suspension of disbelief that everyone refuses to acknowledge. all the extra content is there to establish the 'world' that these idols live in, to build them up as characters in this little story that they play for our entertainment. with real live people it's very easy to convince an audience that what is happening is real, bc our brains are trusting and stupid, but with something that is NOT human, it's much harder. we automatically see where all the flaws are, and you cannot shortcut 'worldbuilding' with extra content like you do with an idol bc those people are not real so they would not be doing real people things. when you have animated characters with no grounding to a real person (that's where aespa gets it right), you NEED to have a story to establish where those characters are from because otherwise, what the hell is the draw? why should people care? especially when we don't really have unified stock characters as part of a cultural concensus atm. idk. maybe the novelty of it is drawing people in, but in my opinion this company missed the trees for the forest on what actually made k/da (and to some degree aespa) successful in the first place.

im sorry i havent been posting like at all lol, on a technical level i FINALLY got my cousin's pc, set it up with my dad in my room already and its absolutely great i cant wait to finally get to hop back on TS4 on it i ran TS4 really quick to update and enable mods/all that stuff but i still need to get an external hard drive/storage to import all general data/files from my old laptop i still want to keep like images,music,vids etc but Especially my TS4 files like my obnoxiously large mods folder like its actually ridiculous how much general cc files, script mod files, replacements def/non-def, lighting mods both for cas/in game n reshade presets i had and still want to keep cause i cba to restart i swear LMAO i still want my old sims ]: in spite of all the headache flashbacks ill get from how bad they would lag, glitch, break and how often my game would crash i still love those saves hhh, also my mods folder is at least over 10k+ files i wont eloaborate why and thats also why i cant be assed to start over LMAO also wont go over too much cause im still knee deep in it but ive been struggling with really and i mean Really bad ADHD induced general burnout WHILST i already was dealing with absolutely awful creative burnout so my brain is scrambled into tiny little shards of charcoal for the past weeks (months even) so i have had little to no motivation to work on things specially my art which has been incredibly painful to the point ill cry sometimes and feel my chest getting tight cause i get frustrated and struggle to produce anything good or that i like, ive been working on it since i started doing research/spoke to my psych and therapist about important exercises to alleviate/bounce back from both burnouts and thankfully (trying to be positve lmfao) both have recommended steps that are either similar/the same or interpolated very well like getting more outside, bettering sleep (which i definitely had been neglecting like a few weeks ago i stayed awake for 3 days straight..😬) ive been trying to branch out on hobbies, trying different art styles for fun and blahblah other things i wont bore anyone with but yerp these past days ive been mainly trying to get my focus on working on those and so far ive improved my sleep quite a lot, i just need to create an actual schedule which is highly important to, atm im working on it but its still a very unorganized schedule but nonethless feeling a lot of painful side effects from shit sleep fading away like really really bad dry eye, pretty boring update i havent been doing much lol but i figured i would post something to clarify i just had been kind of embarrassed to do so, also heres some random drawing ive done for fun in diff styles these past days.

even moar art. this time with a different oc, even tho her hair is shared with anothers, but slightly different.
the "face paint" isn't supposed to be that, but basically glowy eye stuff. being a oracle has odd side effects, but simone is used to it. there are some problems i have, and i just realized some mistakes, but. im too tired to deal with them atm. i am just glad to have made someone different.
and i cant draw long hair, yet. but once i do, ill be obnoxious about it. seth's hair is so much longer's than simone's, that he keeps in a pony-tail, but i never drew such long hair before. ill need referneces and practice and stuff. anyway brain burnt. tired af. gn.

god i wish i wasnt sleeping literally from 6 am to 2 pm. i havent been to work in two weeks so that sucks. im also not getting anything done in terms of cleaning and tidying.
im not doing much besides sit on the laptop either so like lets maybe try something else? i also am only awake for like the last 15 minutes before it gets dark, if at all.
but also, i just?? dont have any motivation or drive to do anything atm. there is nothing making me get out of bed except the fact that its 2 pm. i cant manage to force myself to go to work, i want to have a tidy room but the slightest bit of stress makes me give up
i want to play games and do art but i have no drive to do either and i cant find enough calm and peace without people around me to actually draw. nothing is making my brain log out.
and like. i have other stuff i want to do too, like do coding tutorials and learn to crochet properly, and i bought clay cus i wanna make some stuff, and none of that is happening and idk why.
i cant even do the stuff i really need to get done, like sending a really important letter or taking meds for rosacea or sending that one important email.
i ahve zero structure in the day and i really wish i had some but it feels so incredibly poointless to do anything.

its like generally the anthropomorfisation (big word AUGH) of the animals i wanna use? for example my friend rly likes cows and i wanna make a cow furry oc for them but i cant for the life of me make the thing have.. cow features ??? do you know what i mean? ;-; i feel the same way u do abt my humans if it helps hdunsbdd (im cow anon now incase i keep coming back tysm for taking the time to reply!!)
oh i get yu! I think it takes some time to get there depending on how your brain works, i had to mold cow al into looking actually cowish in nature over a year or so of drawing him not very cow like
(+ also studying actual cows as well as other ppls stylizations. even today ill see a dif way someone stylizes bovine furry snout and steal it for myself)
the good thing is there's a few good resources for drawing creachers (depending on the creacher) but ppl rlly rlly rlly like cows a lot recently, so theres cow every day and cow every hour twitters, as well as happy cow gifs subreddit. lots of cows at different angles for you to access!
(semi related but im so happy the smunk every hour twitter is like. active. just snagged this new ref today)
other than that i kind of just wing it t_t bt i did learn a lot from this little ref by mcmadmissile. keeping that in mind + a ref of The Animal close by if i cant visualize the angle (cow snouts are especially hard!!! what is up with them jdgfhk).
Seeing how other ppl stylize stuff helps a lot too!! (but then it still also helps to know how the original animal looks. like i give my cow al a nose bump and lips for characterization, he also doesnt have the bump on his head where the horns wld be bc i dont want his hair/head to Look too big etc so using just my work for help wldnt be Too Great esp since id draw any other cow character visually different....ykwim)
sorry i cant be of much help t_t im still learning and its more "adjusting parts until it looks right" vs "i have a very clear idea of how to sketch and structure and piece a furry face together before i line it :)" its literally luck atm 😭

thinking about pok lives and goes on spring break au heres everything in my brain atm
Pok gets enough money working for the government to get a new house so they no longer live in an apartment and instead are in like a nice lil 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house and the bad kids come over freshman year bc riz is like "oh my dad should know something about these palimpsets i feel like he'd know about them" and he's not of much use but like. to give yall some perspective on how i imagine pok in this au he's like this goblin w huge scars covering him who is like?? kinda athletic?? and he is also still a spy and still goes on missions so when they first meet him hes in this fairly nice house in like a button up and cardigan w plaid pants and has his hair like tied back (bc i think he would grow it out) in a low ponytail drinking coffee. and they've never met Riz's dad but suddenly just everything about Riz makes sense this guy is his fucking dad?? and he works for the government as an accountant?? dude this guy is cool as hell wtf.
He's just very eloquently spoken and seems to know a lot about things accountants shouldn't care about (why did riz send us to his accountant dad to look at a palimpsest why would his dad know anything about this?) and so thus begins the convincing riz who knows what his dad does that his dad is in the mafia.
also doesnt help that they do have a thing in the gukgak household about bringing new people directly to the house bc obviously pok does have a bunch of like secret rooms and drawers in the home and so the very first thing he says around them is "Kid you know how i feel about strangers in the home" and riz just goes "yeah yeah sorry i know we can meet at Basrar's or something next time-" "okay well im assuming its an emergency or something important if you brought 5 people over that i've never even met so what's up?" and its immediately weird bc... wtf.. hi ig??
"dude like why is he so like ..... that. like?? dude hes not an accountant i know that at least." "guys my dad is just some dude who works in accounting hes not a member of the mafia" "the ball im so sorry your dad has been lying to you he is a member of the mafia. does your mom know?" "i dont know?? probably??" "poor woman..." "oh my god"
theyre all so confused as to why he is so casual not knowing that like since he was 13 riz has known his dad is a spy and does missions and stuff and everytime they see pok literally just getting a coffee they confront him immediately even if riz is there
"so mr.ball....whats in that coffee???"
"vanilla. some cream and milk."
"theres no mafia secrets????"
"no. i got it with two shots of espresso."
"....weird....."
"if you want me to buy you a coffee you can just ask like a normal person."
"i dont need your MAFIA COFFEE....."

obv pok cant just tell his sons friends he barely knows that hes a spy so he just continually insists that he "works for the department of foreign affairs as an accountant. i work in accounting kids. thats it." and they all get it HORRIBLY WRONG and are like "oh yeah kalvaxis rlly wanted to eat an accountant JUST SAY UR A MEMBER OF THE MAFIA AND GO KINDA SUSPICIOUS THATS UR WIFES A COP ARE U TRYING TO MANAGE THE POWER SYSTEM SO U CAN GET AWAY W UR CRIMES???" and he just straight up "....YEAH IM A MEMBER OF THE MAFIA! YEAH U GOT IT RIGHT. IM A MEMBER OF THE MAFIA." and riz finds it fucking hilarious bc as hes busting out laughing his dad is going "riz the mafia is serious business u know this idk why ur laughing about it : (" and the bad kids think theyve cracked the case!! theyve done it!! (they have not!)
pok and garthy know eachother very well bc pok has been sent on numerous missions to Leviathan and so there's like little hints as to what pok does "oh you're still working for the department of foreign affairs! you been moved out of accounting yet?" and the bad kids are like "garthy he works for the mafia. sorry we had to break it to you...." and garthy who knows for a fact pok is not in the mafia just goes "....oh?? the mafia?? that's new! i cant imagine the wife likes that very much!"
Pok and Riz have a little moment in Leviathan where they just sit and talk and Pok assures Riz that he's cool and his friends like him and that he wouldve kill to be as cool as riz is when he was his age. Riz falls asleep on Pok and his dad is just glad hes getting some rest. he also sees the tattoos and goes "if your mom asks you got those when i was asleep and i didnt know."
He absolutely hates fallinel but hes been there on so many missions he is just used to high elves and their bs. "Ah.... Pook GikGuk..." "Mhmm. you got it right buddy." While there he just constantly looks so done with just about everything bc he has seen this place so many times there is like no "ooo new place!" value in it is literally just "yep. high elves and their high elven shit." he tells riz if he ever becomes a spy (which he definitely would btw i will die on the secret agent riz hill) to just. get used to this bc he is going to have to deal with this a lot.
In the nightmare forest he finally is like "guys im not apart of the mafia im a spy. i dont work in accounting lol u think my wife would marry some fucking accountant when shes as cool as she is??" and they're like "???? but... u admitted... u were in the mafia.. why would u lie..." "im a spy i literally lie for a living also i barely knew you guys except when you would come over to our house sometimes and stare at me suspiciously while I scrolled through twitter on my laptop" "MAYBE U WERE LOOKING AT UR MAFIA MEMBERS TWITTER" "WHY ON EARTH WOULD MAFIA MEMBERS HAVE TWITTER" "I DONT KNOW?? THEY WANNA LOOK AT MEMES!"
