It's Botany Manor release day but I live in stupid Scotland which is several (idk how many, what do I look like, a clock?) hours ahead of any part of the US.

I've pre-installed the game but the PLAY button just tells me "oh no no, you're too early!". Aaaaargh. If anyone knows the actual release time please let me know. I'm absolutely rabid for this concept and NEED to play it ASAP.

Botany Manor

5/5 for this cozy, beautiful, intriguing puzzle game

I was very excited for this to come out and snapped it up when it did, and I wasn't disappointed! Similar to Strange Horticulture, this is a game about researching plants, but it's a much more fun setup - you're wandering around a gorgeously rendered old english manor house, collecting clues and learning how to make plants bloom.

The puzzles in the game are fun and at times required me to think reasonably hard, but are never frustrating - definitely on the relaxed side, which is great for a game where just wandering around is so enjoyable.

I also loved learning about Arabella and the challenges she faced in life due to sexism. The ending was bittersweet, but felt realistic while still being optimistic.

It's a very short game (< 5 hours), so don't go into it expecting a ton of content, but I think it fills that time really well. Definitely check it out if you have an afternoon free!
