The fifth and final book, Void, speaks of the unknown, intangible factors that we close ourselves off to. They are not to be ignored. This is the smallest chapter, and yet if you've read the other chapters, it is the most important. There is no escape from unknown factors. Whether we believe in chance, faith, or heaven is irrelevant. We must be willing to grow and adapt, as well as accept what we cannot change. A warrior is said to accept death and in acceptance, can then perform a warrior's duties effectively. There is no reason for every action in the universe, and no need to be. The fourth book, Wind, is a discussion on what the Way is not. Strategy is often thought of as our own reach, and we emphasize using tools to extend our reach or our steps rather than truly use strategy. A soccer (football) player doesn't focus on the ball, yet can maneuver the ball down the field. We've heard Bruce Lee say in the movie Enter the Dragon, "don't concentrate on the finger or you will miss all the heavenly glory". If we want to move with the wind, or have the wind move us, we don't necessarily focus on east, west, north, south. We focus on the direction of the wind, period.
