Letos asi poslední akce, na které se objevím. V mém rodném Hradci Králové, v knihovně pobočka Kukleny, odkud to nemám do práce daleko, bude probíhat BookCon! Naše knihovna je doslova fantastická, naše knihovnice taky a BookCon pofrčí 24 hodin!
V sobotu budu mít přednášku o podivných dracích. Budu s sebou mít knihy na prodej a pro ty chudé bude možnost vyhrát O dracích a lidech nebo O dracích a Sedmi v tombole!
Já tam budu po celou dobu, takže mě nemůžete minout. Leda bych byla na noční hře.
No a pro ty, co se do HK nedostanou, podívejte se, jestli BookCon neprobíhá i u vás. Je to akce knihoven z různých koutů republiky, tak můžete jít a podpořit autory na vašem lokálním BookConu!

Help! Was it a fever dream I had or did Mindy and BJ have a book deal to co-write something forever ago? Like 5+ years ago?
It was real! I’m surprised how often this question is asked so I’ll leave this up for everyone.
In 2015 they made a book deal together with Penguin Random House for a rumored 7.5 million. However there was never a projected release date and BJ even said at the end of the Bookcon talk with Mindy “that book will be far off in the future.”
So I don’t think the deal has been rescinded or they paid it back like some have assumed. It was never planned to be released quickly to begin with and personally it always seemed to me like a project they would want to do together when they are older. I do think the kids have pushed it back for them even further. They’re busy with their separate projects now and their joint project currently is the kids ❤️

First of all, I doubt you remember, but I met you at BookCon back before the world ended. I don’t remember how it came up, but I mentioned the date and you were like, oh you’re right! I need to send it my rent check.
Also, I wanted to say I adore your books. I actually started reading The Fifth Season the day my co-teacher and I were teaching point of view. I should have bought a lottery ticket that day.
As for the actual question- as a teacher, and I always like asking authors what’s the last book you totally geeked out about and what are you dying to get your hands on next?

As for the books question -- the last one I totally geeked out about was an early draft of Martha Wells' forthcoming THE WITCH KING, mostly because I geek out about everything she writes. I'm not really dying to get my hands on anything in particular, tho, probably because I've been struggling to read in the last few years (seems to be a common stress reaction to the panini, the rapid dissolution of what passed for our democracy, and... ::gestures vaguely to indicate "everything else"::), sorry. I'm working on it, tho.

Valbo woke up this morning in L.A he’s be the chosen one to work. 😴
Yeah! SH’s competency now is to delegate specific tasks to a particular control to figure into his new role as whisky seller 🥃 and book seller📚 BookCon.
We’re waiting for the SH’s intro video this month or do we have to wait until February 2023, as 2022? Valbo and Sam filmed exercises together in 2018-19, including during Covid-19 in 2020. During 2021, Valbo took over his current role along with the women hired by MPC in charge of video exercise presentations and training sessions. He travels to Los Angeles for that reason. Before, everything was filmed at EDA. SH transferred part of his task to Valbo and only will appears by opening a new calendar every year 📆
