Do you go hiking? Started our New Year in nature. 1/1 We hiked with my parents a few miles across and up 🆙 Sope Creek. It’s our new tradition to go hiking 🥾 on the weekends, no matter the weather. Connecting in nature and with family is always a huge blessing. I so feel so at peace outdoors; almost like a child who doesn’t want to come back inside when beckoned by their Mother. There’s so much inspiration in the stillness and motion of nature. Usually by the time we are heading back the nocturnal animals are just getting close to stirring up and peeking outside their habitats. Also @pyermoss reebok sneakers are EXCELLENT for hiking. Balanced Rocks, Pitchoff Mountain, Lake Placid, NY

Pitchoff Mountain is home to one of the few trails in the entire Sentinel Range Wilderness, the impressive wild area to the right of Whiteface Mountain when viewed from Lake Placid. Pitchoff is not the highest point of the Sentinel Range, but it does offer the best views. At 3,500 feet in elevation, this is the 80th highest peak in the Adirondacks.

Pitchoff is one of the Lake Placid 9er mountains.

I think the Lake Placid 9ers might be one of the first official Mountain challenges imma complete 🤔

What can I say...I love being near the water. It’s just so calming. The water gets a little less rough a little further down the trail. So you might not have to worry as much about getting swept away if you decide to swim. This would probably be a nice place to swim the next time I’m in the area but of course I’ll swim safely. I definitely don’t need to be caught up in the current.
