What Your Favorite Punk Rock and Gothic Rock Band Says About You except I have surface level knowledge of all of this and I'm mostly going off vibes
Sex Pistols: You where an absolute nightmare sometime between your childhood and 30s. Not just like annoying and stubborn but people were afraid of you and also afraid for you.
Ramones: You're pretty chill despite being very passionate and opinionated on topics that don't really matter. You don't need to yell about your least favorite dog breed ok? You don't need to get your two cents in on everything either.
Dead Kennedys: You have good taste and are true to your values, but you will also defend using racist symbols and words for satire a bit too far.
Siouxsie and the Banshees: The way Siouxsie Sioux spells her name is a sin that I fully blame you for. You love dark and mysterious energy and love just seeing women succeeding and being weird.
The Cure: You're objectively correct, they are the best on this list. However, you're the basic bitch of goth and post-punk and in denial that they made just as much pop music as actual goth.
Depeche Mode: You're either a mentally unstable new wave fan or a mentally stable goth fan. The lyrics aren't as complex as you think they are, sorry.
Joy Division: Please do something about your anxiety.
Dead Boys: You get bored out of your mind to a point that is probably not normal whatever stupid thing you want to do for the adrenaline please don't do it.
The Damned: Same thing as the Dead Boys except you like a slightly classier and darker aesthetic. If you could wear whatever you wanted without being judged you would wear the coolest shit known to man.
Bauhaus: Just admit you're horny. Everyone already knows.
The Clash: Either you need to get out of the house and go do something exiting or you used to need that and this music was a gateway to lots of adventures. You like a lot of other types of music as well.
Black Flag: Straight edge, huh? No the fuck you weren't.
Sisters of Mercy: Congratulations! You're almost as horny as the Bauhaus fans and almost as anxious as the Joy Division fans! Also you were probably raised Christian and resent it.
The Stooges: You pride yourself on being into punk before punk existed but is that really such a good thing? You heard someone screaming "I wanna be your dog" with absolutely no context and no similar or gateway music and decided that this was the band for you. All I'm saying is maybe you need to take some time to unpack that.

Happy 62nd birthday to ultra-intense American hardcore punk icon (and tattooed muscle daddy icon!) Henry Rollins (born Henry Lawrence Garfield on 13 February 1961). Pictured here in his youthful feral Black Flag era.

OFMD Week Day 2- Music Monday
I couldn't decide on actual musicians/singers to combine characters with, so I made this silly, poorly drawn modern AU comic where Ed's crew are a rock band and Lucius sneaks Stede backstage.
Transcript for people who can't read my terrible handwriting:
Stede: " Lucius, are you sure we won't get thrown out by security?"
Lucius: "My boyfriend does technical shit for these guys. He lets me sneak backstage all the time. Watch out for Iz, though. He's not as nice as the others."
Eddie Teach: "Hey."
Stede: "...Eddie Teach?"
Eddie Teach: "Ed's fine. I saw you out there, and you really stood out. Pretty much everyone else who comes to these things just visually copies us. The aqua waistcoat with white frills popping out, I fucking love that! What's your name, mate?"
Stede: "Well, I'm- I'm Stede. It's erm... I was unexpectedly invited here by my friend Lucius, and I didn't have time to change."
Ed: "You dress like this every day?"
Stede: "Afraid so. It's a comfort thing, my ex-wife was always embarrassed by it..."
Ed: "I fucking love it, man."
Iz: "Eddie, Is this flashy groupie bothering you?"
Ed: "No way, Iz! He's incredibly fascinating! Fang, Ivan, Iz! Get this guy a permanent backstage pass! This is better than before CJ left!"
Iz: "You literally just met this ponce."
Lucius: "Babe. The friend I took is now friends with Eddie."
Pete: "Nice! I still remember when I was close to him before the band's success!"
Iz: "SHUT UP, ROADIE!"
Pete: "It's Pete."

Anyone who’s upset about the specific removal of Nazi imagery and panty shots of a minor from Skullgirls, please block me. Everything else we can discuss but those two things had no reason to be in game and should have been removed a long time ago.

BLOG INTRODUCTION
Hello tumblr! You may call me Roger. I’m English/Scottish and a slight autist. Also, I am queer, because apparently tumblr people like to know that. I have been into pirate history for many years. I would like to start this off by saying I am NOT A QUALIFIED HISTORIAN OR EXPERT. This blog will be well researched and I will do my best to use reliable sources (and list them), but do not use this blog itself as a source. My posts exist to encourage you to read further into sources.
Now, as the blog description states, I am going to be posting pirate facts and discussing pirate myths. I will also occasionally post about and discuss fictional pirate media. Some topics I plan to discuss when this blog is started include:
•Matelotage & the treatment of queers by pirates and sailors in history
•Was Stede Bonnet REALLY that bad?
•Why Jack Rackham and Bartholomew Roberts are criminally overrated
•Food eaten onboard of a ship- why hardtack?
•Did they really have parrots? What about other pets?
•Barber-Surgeons, because I never see them talked about
•A General History Of The Pyrates: the biggest piece of 18th century clickbait to ever be written
•Libertalia, Captain James Mission and other hilarious and blatant lies
If you are into piracy or looking to get into its history, please give me a follow! A like or reblog to help get this blog out there would also be very helpful. :] liking my posts also let’s me know that there is an interest for history on this site
