as i have stated, i never had an issue with them disliking her or not being fond of her, i am critical of her too in the valid spots. my beef started when these billy fans use sexism, when they want to make it a valid excuse to hate her so freaking bad, when they downplay all the harassment situations she went through just because they find her unlikeable, when they think only billy is entitled to be a nuanced with grey areas but not her.

there was this particular anon at this popular pro billy rant blog, that kindly tried to explain why the erasure of these particular situations of nance simply because of her wrongdoings, is becoming unfair. it did break my heart to see how many of that person's mutuals were basically like ''ah lol yeah ig but shes a classist shes a republican i ain't sorry for her'', ''but she's a classist!!!!'', ''yeah but idc i smell the classism a mile away'', ''IDC CHEATER NANCY HOMPHOBIC NANCY THIS AND THAT!!'', ''but she's this and that!!'', even as far as one of that person's mutuals claiming she was never sexually harassed. i am not saying names because i signed an NDA lmao jk but if you know who, you know who. these are the things that make me cringe the most.

Dear Creator,

Hello! Thank you for taking on my prompt! I know we’re assigned prompts, but thanks anyway :)

What can I say about Steve and Billy... man. I love banter between the boys, first off. And I love the potential dynamic that could develop between them. And while I also like modern AU sometimes and think it can be really interesting - I’m definitely partial to this 1980s small-town setting as it’s not an era I’ve gotten to explore much before, and it’s interesting to play off what’s going on with the rest of the world in the ‘80s and what’s going on with the boys. That being said writing/reading about the boys is a great escape from modern news and politics so if you choose to just write about the boys in relation to each other and other characters within the Stranger Things universe, I’d love that too!
