Biography
James grew up in New Gotham his entire life. He lived mostly comfortably but always wished to experience adventure and had a deep longing for friendship and love. When he first acquired his metahuman powers at the age of 19, he suddenly realized he could use these powers to fight crime and took to doing so.
After around a week of crime fighting, Batman approached him and told him to give up his ideals of crime fighting. James responded by refusing to do so.
Eventually Bruce relented after Barbara Gordon reminded him of when Stephanie Brown “died”. Bruce did not reveal his identity but did give James free rein over the New Gotham Batcave as well as gifting James his own suit which James would slowly iterate on.
James met Duke Thomas and fought a group of metahumans known as the Blood Brothers. The two became close friends and grew to trust each other closely over the following months.
James told his parents he was taking a new night watch at Waynetech. They slowly realized that was not true. Eventually, they threatened to reveal his identity to the world. He told them that would only put a target on their backs and he’d keep going even if he had to become Fenrir full time. He then began living full time in the New Gotham Batcave as he did not wish to return home; however, an encounter with Tim Drake reminded him about the importance of family and James returned home where his parents told him they were proud of him despite being scared for his safety. The three reconciled, James moved back in, and he continued his vigilantism, now not constraining himself to the night.
Powers
Enhanced Biology: James has enhanced speed and strength but not to an incredible degree. His strength is on par with an Olympian and his speed is only moderately better than one as well.
Inhuman Reflexes: Something about James' biology allows him almost immediate reaction time. This allows him to dodge bullets despite only being moderately faster than peak human ability.
Enhanced Senses: James has enhanced senses that allow him a much greater appraisal of the world at all times. This includes wolf-like scent tracking, extremely accurate taste buds, extremely detailed texture analysis through touch, and extremely good hearing. This does not extend to his eyesight and he requires glasses to see with clarity.
Regenerative Ability: James' regenerative abilities allow him to heal injuries that would take months or years to heal for anyone else in days; however, the quality of the healing is only moderately better than human average. James cannot regenerate wounds fast enough to heal from normally lethal hits.
Inhuman Stomach: James' body is able to endure a wild assortment of diseases and poisons from eating raw meat just like a wolf's does. He doesn't use this ability often but it can come in handy when in survivalist situations.
Abilities
Acrobatics: James is an extremely skilled acrobat but not to the same degree as Dick Grayson or Stephanie Brown.
Investigation: James' enhanced senses allow him a greater access to information at crime scenes but he has admitted he struggles with logical thinking and this has been disadvantageous when taking on cases.
Martial Arts: Having trained under Batman and Cassandra Cain, he has an extremely powerful mastery of martial arts but prefers to use two handed sword stances whenever possible, using his Stun Blade or similarly blunt and long objects such as bats and metal piping when without access to his Stun Blade.
Miniature Painting: James has picked up painting miniatures relatively recently but still expresses skill at it; however, he has admitted he doesn't really care about being extremely precise and prefers miniature painting for the customization of the figures that it allows him.
Stealth: James has only recently picked up his stealth skills and is relatively loud compared to other members of the Batfamily, only making up for it because of his natural stealthy ability due to his metahuman biology.
Game Design: James has a sort of addiction to creating tabletop game systems.
Paraphernalia
Fenrir Suit: The Fenrir Suit itself is a complex suit of light armor designed for maximum maneuverability at the cost of minimum protection. Due to his metahuman speed allowing him to dodge bullets, the suit's plating primarily defends against blades and electric weapons, as it is completely insulated from the outside. The suit is also equipped with a mechanical facemask that can be manually set for air purification or water filtration in emergencies as well as storing a small amount of air for extended underwater activity. The suit also includes a cloak and hood which is made up of a mostly bulletproof weave but, due to its flowing and elastic nature, the wearer still feels intense pain from bullets. The cloak and hood are less effective against blades and will easily tear if tested against a sharp weapon. The suit itself resembles plate armor worn by medieval knights. The suit is also equipped with automatically adjusting lenses so that he does not have to wear glasses while fighting crime as well as volume handlers to protect his hearing from damage due to loud noises.
Voice Distortion Device: While in costume, James' voice is mechanically synthesized through a number of vocal modifications while wearing his suit. These modifications include, pitch lowering, autotune, and two other robotic voices overlayed over his own, one a clearly computer generated voice and one using an assembled voice pack drawing from the voices of several villains from Batman's rogues gallery creating a highly unnerving and hard to understand voice. This means all vocal statements are delayed slightly after he says them but also renders him completely alien to vocal identification software and intensely unnerving to those he faces. The mask is also capable of creating mimicked vocal readings from enemies and mimicking them but not of tapping into enemy comms like Bruce's dedicated vocal mimicry device.
Grappling Hook: Fenrir, as a member of the Batfamily, has a grappling hook. These are both magnetic, mechanical, and suction based for maximum security in their connection to surfaces.
Stun Blade: The Stun Blade is a blunt weapon designed to resemble a Greatsword with a hilt-like structure at one end made up of a crossguard, a grip slimmer than the rest of the staff wrapped in tape for firmer grip during combat, and a small ball at the base of the grip. The entire device with the exception of the grip (but not with the exception of the ball at its base) is designed to deliver a taser-like electric shock to disable targets hit with it. It also has a retractable sharp point at its tip which is activated by a button near the grip that is used mostly for embedding the Stun Blade into concrete or brick. Fenrir has commonly also used the weapon as a throwing weapon over short distances to pin enemies to walls or destroy dangerous devices, which is the primary use of the retractable sharp point.
Hand Crossbow: Fenrir has a hand crossbow outfitted with rubber bolts for stunning or incapacitating enemies.

Thalia was born in New York City, just as any good socialite story beings. Mateo, her father— human —had married her Mother, a mutant. She held the power of Puppet Mastery, a skill that sounds far more benevolent than it truly is. She could manipulate any person to function at her whim, though she wielded such great power with great responsibility. It was only two years later that Thalia’s Mother, Faith, was killed in a botched robbery.
Mateo took being a single parent in stride, a hot shot Lawyer with a resume as long as his arm. Between himself, and countless babysitters and nannies, Thalia found her way up in the world. Right up to being filthy rich and wanting for nothing. The perks of criminal law, one could say. Her Father very rarely turning down a case, though his Hubris never seemed to trip him the way it should.
The hardest part was the fact that Thalia was so adamantly against falling in the lines he had set. She was a wild child who loved to walk outside the lines that had been drawn for her for no more than a reaction. It wasn’t until she was old enough to decide she didn’t respect her Father’s job that she realized how far she wanted to be from the world of law.
Thalia, though, was being groomed to take over in her Father’s stead regardless, but she never held the passion he did. And, God forbid she admit she’d be happier as a prosecutor then a defense lawyer, but she was not in the game of defending the guilty and evil.
She was Fourteen when the full scheme of her powers started to show themselves, a man grabbing her by the hand ended up with a handful full of bone spike. If she’s honest, she doesn’t remember it much herself, the pain of bone tearing through skin the way it did far too great to let her hold the memory.
It was clear from that point that Thalia was much more powerful than anticipated. She had some of the skills of control her Mother did through her mutation, but her power centered around bone, and skeletal control beyond a general control.
It was only a week later, when her hand had healed, that she was put into self defense classes so she wouldn’t need to rely on her power to protect herself. She took to fighting like a duck to water, and found herself falling into political movements to provide mutants with the same respect and right as any other person on top of all of that. It was like she had dipped her toe into the real world for the first time. And, Mateo hated it.
As soon as Thalia began to get a reputation for her part in the movement, the family was pulled from New York to Chicago in hopes of deterring her behavior. But in the four years since that move happened,Thalia managed to find herself falling in to the same behavior— she had just learned to cover her tracks better.
Thalia found herself wrapped up in more of the Mutant world, even tangling herself with Ezra, before realizing that there was just as much moral corruption in that world as there was from the humans. She knew there was no sense in trying to make herself fit in either. Instead, she refocused her sights on righting any and all wrongs.
Using her connections with both the legal world and her knowledge of the underground mutant world, Thalia spends any free moment she can scrape together attempting to correct the wrongs of others, at any cost. She’s a Vigilante, though she doesn’t willingly wear the label. It just seems as if Chicago has decided to call her as much.
