i've been writing a song for a little while now and i just find the progression from naming it "SONGTITLE_ITERATION" to "[song title] is never finished it just stops moving" and "[st]infijsm 2 electric boogaloo" really funny for some reason

this is the one (1) thing keeping me sane rn

So it turns out our college is having us do a junior version of the SpongeBob Musical that’s shortened so much it’s only one act long…and no where in the audition or callback process did they specify this (we literally did scenes from the full version at callbacks???)

I was so excited for this role but now I’m just pissed like wtf?? I didn’t sign up (and pay money!!) to do a version of the show that’s made for 12 year olds????

They don’t say it’s a highly shortened version in any of the promotional stuff either which means they’re expecting people to pay full price for a show on the main stage that barely lasts an hour I just…….what the actual fuck??

#this had to happen with the best role I’ve ever gotten #a bunch of songs were cut and the ones that are still there are shortened so much #and badly too like they all sound like shit now???#ur gonna make a bunch of college students do a middle school length production?? that we have to pay to be in?????#ALSO they’re literally borrowing all the sets props and costumes from another college #that the same director just finished doing the FULL VERSION of #so where the fuck is the money going??#our cast is so much better than there’s too tbh and ur having us do the discount version?? 😭#gonna be pissed about this forever #and we’re still rehearsing 5 days a week for 2 months?? girl the show is an hour long
