I appreciate the EDM fandom here SO MUCH not just bc you guys are cool but also because I used to be on "EDM Twitter" and that place was HELL. ACTUAL HELL. I mean twitter in general is shit but specifically the EDM community there used to give me ACTUAL NIGHTMARES about being stalked and harrassed by specific people on there. What I´m saying is AVOID THAT PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

#that hellhole had some unique kind of cringe culture I can´t explain it but yeah. don´t go there. EVER.#so glad I got out of there also the EDM fandom on there is the best online community I´ve ever been a part of I love you guys #it´s almost unbelievable that both of those communities basically revolve around the same thing lmao

actually now that im still at it, here's another twitter circle post, now tumblr exclusive:

basically, two concerts are happening in December and I have no money but GOD i wanna go. G Jones w/ Imanu, Jon Casey, and Sayer on Dec. 7th in Alburqueque and then Dec. 9th Eptic w/ Eliminate & Ivory in Dallas. It's insanity, bc I have NO money, and I dont know how to drive so I cant even rent a car, AND i most likely wont have anyone to go with me bc the two people who would be down to clown (my boyf & older sister) both work jobs with little PTO and are also broke. So it'd just be me, ~$300 i have saved up, my impulsiveness and myself going between 2 states.

like its so unplausible that it can happen. BUT--

#bird babbles #edm stuff #i have traveled alone before via train (sticky if ur seeing this hi ilu <3) and it really isnt that bad #it really is just matter of money bc if i dont have money for a hotel room or food ill legit be pulling up with nothing but a backpack #and by myself too. which can be a vibe!#but i am also a small woman (?) who would be traveling alone to cities shes never been in so. hmmm #may not be the best decision ever...#sorry guys i have a lot of thoughts and i need to scream

i will stand my ground on my love of MANIA forever tbh. it’s the most experimental for sure, but also the most creatively and lyrically focused of all the post hiatus albums (imo). and it pays off! those songs as a collection tell a really emotionally compelling story and it speaks volumes to me. pete’s songwriting quality on MANIA harkens back to folie in some ways. his lyricism comes through so clearly. patrick’s vocals are so spot on. stay frosty as an opener and bishop’s knife trick as a closer opens the album up for so much emotional progression through the tracklist too. leaves lots of room for reflection on the concept of mania (and the experience of bipolar disorder at large). like…i could go on. great cohesive work of art.

#smfs came out after i made this post and i think that’s their best post hiatus album now jsyk. but the rest of this post still stands #if you view it through the lens of bipolar disorder the whole album comes into focus #it’s so compelling as someone w bp1 #anyway! this is so good #not here to pander to people who bitch about not liking pop music or edm #polarizing ≠ bad #fall out boy #fob #mania #pete wentz #patrick stump #jayloni speaks

fellas i think it's been enough time. frontiers is up there with rise of lyric and 06 i fucking love this game and im tired of feeling like im not allowed to because it's not perfect

#soda offers you a can #yes the lore is a bit confusing yes the fanservice is observable yes i understand that the gameplay is what it is #but i love running around as a Little Guy and doing funny little platforming #and hearing roger's best voice acting to date and seeing a more mature characterization of sonic #i love sage conceptually and her playing into the machine gaining sentience trope and allowing us to see a different approach to eggman #i love cyber corruption i love the funny water alien chaos cousins i love the boss fights sm #i love seeing my 'hog blorbo go through The Horrors and come back from it even if it ends up being a little rushed #i love the ost i love the island themes that are chill but distinct and that they get broken up by EDM by the guardians #i love the titan music!! it's so bold and fresh and feels in line with the 2000s games!#there is so much to adore in this game and i would not shut up about it if i wasn't so tired wah
