Belle threw down the parchment she'd been holding with an exasperated sigh and a self-depricating remark.
"If anyone can figure this out, it's you." August said, taking her hand and pulling her gaze into his.
"If I'm our only hope, we're already doomed," Belle shook her head.
"How could the smartest person I know say something so ridiculous?"
Belle shook her head, "I still don't know what you see in me."
"Everything," August thought, seeking the words to explain it all, but knowing he'd still fall short.
"Something magic," he said, catching her other hand in his, "an extraordinary magic."

went to a Ben Rector concert a few nights ago and it was the most surreal experience since i’ve never been to a concert before. someone waved a stuffed Dobby elf while someone from my group walked around with a traffic cone on his head. ben’s voice was angelic and made me know love. we spent the entire time asking if the saxophone player was catholic and single. i learned to swing dance and almost touched ben’s hand. best religious conference ever
