In Memory of Hitch
Hitch was a stray kitten a close friend of mine found under his truck and he immediately adopted her, who I also cat-sitted for multiple times.
After 3-4 months of age she passed away in the early morning due to several complications, presumably genetic. Despite her short stay with us she had a huge impact on not only me and my friends, but the other cats as well.
She was a sweet little thing and I'm just posting her everywhere as a way of grieving. Thanks for stopping by.

My lovely cat, Mufasa died on October 8th this year.
He was only at my place for 16 months, but he was home. It was home because he was here.
I’m doing better than I did when Persia died several years ago, but there are still hard days.
Grief will take its own time.

Still Sad But Feeling Better.
Just a quick update, I’m feeling a bit better now that losing our cat isn’t so fresh in my mind so I don’t think I need that long of a break. Honestly, I just want to feel normal again and move on. At least we got to say goodbye and were with Ziggy to the very end...
Another reason he had that name is because he always wanted to be the center of attention and zig-zagged between everyone in the house for pets and snuggles, plus he loved to zoom back and forth down the hallway. Sometimes our dog Katara would join in too because they pretty much grew up together since I got Katara as a puppy in 2011. You could literally pet Ziggy all over and he loved it when you’d cup your hand around his face to pet both cheeks at once. It was adorable. He loved playing with straws too, especially the big ones and would fetch it like a dog.
I have a ton of other stories but I’ll stop there before I start feeling sad again. All I wanted to share is that I have half a childhood’s worth of memories with Zig-Zag so I’ll always remember what made him so special to us. Anyways, after this like I said I just want to feel normal again which is why I want to get back to posting the usual stuff as soon as possible. I’m probably going to give my Good Vlad’s cat Madison some of the same quirks as a small tribute to Ziggy in the future.
