while it’s still early, I just want to say I don’t trust prism, I made a post similar for Bor’dor but now I’m even more suspicious of her. Not saying she’s evil, but she’s hiding something. there’s stuff about her that doesn’t add up. Cobalt soul doesn’t really have a lot of wizards, I’m sure there are a few, but not a level 9 one. She’s a level 9 wizard who apparently hasn’t had much combat experience, even if she is over a hundred, that isn’t the backstory of a level 9 character, that’s a backstory of a level 1-3 character at most, yeah you can make basically anything your backstory if your dm agrees, but it feels out of place to me to have all this power and be a low ranking apprentice.

Also, Prism said she was in emon when she was teleported across continents, The cobalt soul doesn’t operate in tal’dori, they’re housed in wildemount. It’s possible they have people throughout tal’dori, but it’s odd for them to have a library for someone like Prism to apprentice at for over a century. Especially when the cobalt reserve exists in Tal’dori. not sure if the cobalt soul and reserve interact, I assume so since they’re both cobalt, but an apprentice would know the difference.

I’m not sure if this is bullshit, everything can be excused, but it’s a lot adding up so it can be something. Emily is a great player who loves chaos, I wouldn’t put it against her to play something that fucks with the players like erika did

matt ruling that the technical damage from the explosion was irrelevant due to the power and weight of fcg’s sacrifice is what really got me. even if sam rolled the max possible number on the dice, it wouldn’t have even brought otohan to below where she was before she took the health potion. mechanically speaking, she should have survived that blast by a LOT of hit points. but this was a player willingly killing their own character, beyond reviving and even potentially beyond resurrection, to give the rest of the party any advantage they could, and he rewarded that with the death of an antagonist that has haunted this campaign from the very beginning. unreal fucking plays by both matt and sam tonight.
