came back just to post these. okay bye
#gbf#belifaa#did you get triple zero (summon)? the sanfaa scissoring summon? SSS? i sierotixed it. It was awesome. Everythung in gbf is going right for#e except for the fact that i had to sieroticket it but its alright. just the notion of so much lucilius is just enough to put me back on my#feet again it’s almsot unreal how much lucilius-centric stuff theyve pushed out the past few months. his GBVSR debut. his summon.#Omg when I saw the gbfes fashion show i was a few seconds behind zen and she told me “You wont believe this” and I was like “WHAT? BELIEVE#WHAT? WHAT? WHAYT DO YOU MEAN” and the official lucilius cosplayer walked out in his robes it felt unreal unreal like it was seeing my onl#dreams come true after years and years of being like Theres no way they’d do that. There’s no way they’d make a cosplay for lucilius in his#robes because hes in his void outfit forever. BUT THEY DID…..AND THERE WAS BLOOD UNDER HIS SKIN….AND HIS LIPS WERE GLOSSED…AND HE HAD A LIT#LE BIT OF TAREME AND TSURIME (TARIME) ACTION ON HIS EYES AND EVERYTIME HE WALKED HIS ROBES KIND OF FLUTTERED AS HE SHUFFLED ALONG I HAD TO#SIT ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR lay down on the bathroom floor and I almpst puked from how nauseous it made me i was OVERJOYED BEYOND MY PHYSICAL#LIMITATIONS OF HAPPINESS . I WAS SO HAPPY. THIS YEAR HAS BEEN UTTERLY MISERABLE FOR ME AND I HAVE NOT BEEN THIS DEPRESSED SINCE HIGH SCHOOL#BUT SEEING LUCILIUS like this genuinely blew me off my socks . I don’t know if i should be 100% thankful because I’ve been trying to figure#out how to balance my emotional state with the media i consume but#I think i really needed it. thank you lucilius for ending my 2023

I tried to make up for lost time this @justleaveacommentfest and wound up with 12 total comments! I mostly followed the themes and discovered a lot of tropes I didn't know I liked. :D
I would say "the following fics are the highlights" but I'm pretty sure these are all the fics, oh well. Many different ratings and pairings ahoy! I was in the mood for angst this week, but there's ultimately a lot of variety here.
All the Time in the World by rabbit print. Trigun Gen from 2002. Rated T. "Spoilers up to and including the last episodes of Trigun. Legato reflects during his confrontation with Vash."
"I am, I am not" by TheHangedMan. Granblue Fantasy, Rated T. Heartbreaking pre-canon Belial/Lucilius from Lucifer's POV. "Lucifer was not a poem."
May this Honmaru stand forever by whoayaknow. Rated M. Touken Ranbu vent fic in light of the Global server shutdown. "to fallen warriors in our cozy mass grave: the fight is over! we won!"
losing myself to find you [and me] by SetsunaMew. Trigun, rated M. Legato/Knives. Dense and beautiful experimental post-series fic. "Decades upon decades upon centuries pass, and Legato finally returns the gift of salvation."
Stars over the Caldera by may10baby. Trigun Stampede, Knives/Vash, rated E. Dragon AU (! Where has this been all my life?) with some delicious worldbuilding and setting descriptions almost hotter than the sex (YMMV). "Vash has finally started his heat, and Knives is 100% ready to give his little brother a nest full of eggs."
Overshadowed by CrimsonShades. Granblue Fantasy, not rated. Belial & Lucifer. "AU where Belial goes to kill Lucifer by himself." I laughed through a broken heart with this one.
Guardian and the Hound by Mlokosewitschii. Trigun Stampede, rated T. Knives/Vash, Fairy Tale AU. Lots of Gaelic, and a cool Fantasy take on No Man's Land. "He was wise, but young. The villagers never questioned it."
Swallowing Poison by rosecake. Crimson Peak, rated M. Lucille/Edith. Warning for dubcon! Lucille poisons Edith some more, and boy does she ever enjoy it (and so did I). "Everything in Crimson Peak belonged to Lucille, Edith included, whether she was alive or buried in the cold ground."
A Sword's Duty by WolfofCelestia. Touken Ranbu, not rated. Horror. The only WIP this time (;_;), a story of a Citadel whose time has nearly run out and the food they procure.

the way we know belial has been yearning like crazy because of his battle theme the whole “It's too hard to describe, the million lonely nights without you” and “A million nights could pass without a trace, so long as you're mine.” and when lucilus comes back he references the first line with nights have been lonely w/o u then asks for a hug and lucilus doesnt even look at him and the way belial went through so much pain to get him back? damn ok 👍

Although, he's kind of, maybe, certainly,
Faasan's loyal dog.
I'll be thinking about this for the next few hours, if not days.
I can just see him spending "quality time" with Lucilius in Canaan trying to sell him on this, anon. XD
"I'll even speak when you want me to, Cilius!"
"...That has merit."
"Really?!"
"No."
Belial cries crocodile tears at his feet. Oh, the suffering! He can't believe this is happening (he totally can), but surely this is one of those "bumps in the road" like mortal romances have, right? He'll just need to show Lucilius the benefits of making a puppy out of him! And then he spends the next hour rolling around on his back and whining while Lucilius resolutely continues his research.
(It totally doesn't have an unexpected side effect of making Lucilius fall asleep for the first time in days, nope)
