went to go clothes shopping today and i got the cuntiest misa-esque dress for like $8 at the thrift store <3

#it’s covered in hearts and it’s strapless w a low lace-up back and the skirt is short and poofy but it’s sewn at the edges so that the #skirt is like a sphere-ish shape that holds fairly well and i should prob just draw it so what i’m saying makes sense but it is super cute #and i also got some jeans which is new for me i’ve not worn jeans since. um. i think the last time i wore jeans i was. idk. before #i started dressing myself? so under 5 maybe? idk pants feel really restricting to me and jeans esp that’s why i’m always wearing skirts #but i feel up to it rn bc i’ve always thought they were cute and also i think i’m comfortable enough in my skin to do so which i think it’s #usually the opposite for ppl they like pants and are afraid of dresses bc they’re uncomfortable/self conscious/whatever but for me #skirts have always been a safety blanket and they are so comfortable but sometimes skirts are just not practical so i need to like #get comfortable wearing pants and i tried doing it a couple years back but i was like in the midst of an eating disorder so that didn’t go #down well but i’m cool now i’m chill abt things and wearing skirts all the time makes ppl peg me as fem and i’m like ahhhhh stop she/her-in #me when i’m obvi in femboy mode or like when i’m being androgynous but i happen to be wearing a skirt w my outfit it’s annoying #anyway it took me two fucking hours to figure out what size i was bc skirts u don’t really have a size bc u just need it to fit ur waist #and ur golden but pants are so complicated and i have wide hips and thick thighs and it took me foreverrrr to find the right size #but i did and now i will never have to do all of that ever again <3 bc it was stressful every second that i wasn’t looking in the mirror #and making bedroom eyes at myself <3

Idk man I'm a little mad we got one dying kiss between soulmates out of 6 hours of film and no future for them, it just feels insanely unsatisfying? I guess?

Was that meant to be a happy ending?? Her other half is dead .. story rules dictate she can't just go on and be happy with her other half dead, not after they actually said it instead of leaving it unspoken. They have some force bond. Dyads. Equals, two halves of one whole. Balance between light and dark. First in generations they said. No way she's just Fine after his death. No way she's Balanced after his death, what? How?

#basically it feels like the soulmates thing takes several back seats to.. making her a palpatine for some reason #not even really sure why she needed to be of that line? i thought the whole thing was she was a nobody #rags to riches type story.. disney princess (literally now) she goes from being a poor starving servant to empress of the galaxy and #epic jedi badass. able to temper Ben's murderous tendencies and advocate for the changes he forgets #they work together fight together blend together #thats what i thought they were going with when the whole second movie was them thinking about each other constantly #also snoke may have done something to amplify their bond but no way it wasnt ben and rey benefitting from seeing each other vulnerable #they made it funny and glossed over it but him being shirtless or her being covered in that blanket #they could have done more with that #i love LOVE that after they touch she immediately goes to his side. and hes waiting for her #like i can only imagine what he was thinking.. omg she came for Me. she wants to see me. be by my side #i mean my man immediately proposed marriage and co rulership after killing his abuser for her #reylo

ok. i finally finished trigun 98.

that. Sure Was Something. it's rly interesting to see how the end of 98 compares to what nightow did in trimax. there are some similarities of course, but overall it felt really... simplified in comparison.

my final verdict is that Yeah trimax is still my fav trigun iteration, but by itself trigun 98 is a pretty emotionally fulfilling anime

#speculation nation #fanny watches trigun #trigun spoilers/#tagging preemptively #there's a lot for me to sort out. creative choices they took and such #i want to supplement my writing with details that appeared in 98 that didnt appear in trimax & dont conflict with them #such as the thing with wolfwood being 7 years old when he killed his own guardian. presumably his father #in trimax we see him say he was 'born in a ditch' but it says Nothing about his childhood #but if we were to merge the bit from 98 with what we know from trimax... wolfwood aged 7 kills his father and then lands in the orphanage #already jaded but happy there. wanting to just take care of the other children.#that's. compelling to me. and ive basically adopted that into my personal interpretation of his backstory #since we didnt get much of that from him. aside from the general details.#the thing with the guns was interesting. though it obviously conflicted with the manga's thing of the angel arm #vash's desperation to not be alone was Heartbreaking. & the fact that he followed knives around for almost fifteen Years...#even with his feelings of betrayal. and knives still took care of him during that time too (like covering him with a blanket when he #fell asleep out on the ledge)#there are SO many interesting details. and im definitely going to have to go through this anime some more to sort it out #but ive finally finished my first watch! and im pretty excited about that :')
